Every Friday, Mrs. Graves would give Andrew money to go on a snack run for the weekend.

"She's so annoying, mom! She always snatches the snacks I go for and then bolts for the next aisle. Then she just giggles and runs away with MY TOMATO SOUP."

Mrs. Graves sighed and turned around to face her son, "Andrew, just because a little five year old girl is taking some of the same snacks as you DOES NOT MEAN I am letting you shop at a different store! With no other choices, Andrew was forced to continue shopping.

BUT ANYWAYS for now they’re just somewhat-friends. Until Kabru overworks himself to death one night, Aralei finds out and pulls some strings to get him a day off. At first he waves it off and says he’ll be fine (when was the last time he ate…?) but Aralei won’t have it. She drags him down to a random tavern and treats him to breakfast, and he tells her he doesn’t mind whatever she gets for him. It’s something tomato-based, probably, and he wonders if it was coincidence or if she remembered tomatoes are his favorite.

After that they hang out more often between their duties (even during, sometimes, when Kabru is with Laios running over his scheduled appearances for that month and Aralei is looking over his shoulder to read from the papers spread over the table).

They’ve only viewed each other as good friends for a long while, so it’s psychic damage for Kabru when he starts to feel fluttering in his stomach just from the thought of her. I’ll put that about 2 years post-canon…

I was vegetarian for a year bc I lied to my girlfriend when she told me she was a vegetarian and I was like omg same we have so much in common!! 💀 It wasn’t horrible but it’s hard to feel full when all you’re eating are vegetables or pasta. Vegetarian is much easier in my opinion but it also depends on your situation. Are you in a dorm with a dining hall, on your own, or eating at home? I loved the Barilla vegetable pasta bc it was super cheap but I got 2 to 3 meals out of it. I’d put tomatoes, spinach, and tofu in there too. Trader Joe’s also had a lot of cheap but yummy vegetarian options that used meat alternatives. Before I was vegetarian, I never ate red meat (beef, pork) bc I didn’t like it so all I had to do was cut out chicken and Turkey. I don’t consider fish a meat bc I’m Catholic and like loaves and fish and all thar good stuff so I still ate fish which is considered pescatarian. Those are my tips if you want to start 🩵🩵
