Featuring: Destiel with actor!Dean and professor!Cas

It started because of a movie role Dean landed. This was the first major studio dramatic role Dean was hired for after over a decade of playing dumb jocks and ditzy playboys. His agent, who was also his younger brother, suggested Dean do some one-on-one research for this role.

That’s what brought him to Boston, Massachusetts to the office of Professor Castiel Krushnic. The professor was, according to Sam’s research, the most well established expert on religious studies in the US. If anyone would be able to help Dean, a lifelong agnostic, sink his teeth into the role of a seminary student questioning his faith after a family tragedy, it would be the professor.

There was only one problem.

Cas was gorgeous, insanely smart, and had the driest humor of anyone Dean had ever met. The combination left Dean stumbling over his words like all of the airhead pretty boys he’d played in movies.

Somehow, Cas was patient enough with Dean to let him get comfortable and find his words.

What was supposed to be just one lunch meeting to take general notes about the role and questions Dean could focus on when finding his character’s motivation turned into regular visits, phone calls, emails, and late nights staring at the ceiling of whatever room Dean was living out of at the time thinking about something Cas had said.

It wasn’t until Sam heard the “Take Me To Church” ringtone Dean had set for Cas on his phone that Dean realized he should probably do something about all the feelings he had bubbling around inside himself.

And tonight, all of those months of awkwardness and long nights would pay off.

“You look more nervous than I do,” Cas said as he came up behind Dean to adjust his tie in the hotel bathroom mirror. “Isn’t walking the red carpet part of your job?”

Dean grimaced.

“It’s not my favorite part.”

“And what would your favorite part be?”

“Wooing pretty professors and convincing them to be my date for the awful red carpet parts of the job.”

“Oh, I see, so this was all just a long con so you could drag someone else into your misery?”

“Well, Sammy refuses to walk the red carpet anymore.”

Cas hummed.

“Yes, he told me about the ‘super fan’ he acquired after joining you for the Playthings release.”

“Becky was a sweet girl,” Dean said, truthfully. “She just had a thing for dolls and Sam is terrified of clowns, so it never would have worked out between them.”

“By that logic,” Cas said. “A faithless man and a religious studies professor would be doomed too, would it not?”

“Hell no,” Dean said. “That just means our story is even more epic than anyone else’s.”

Cas hummed at him and patted his shoulder.

In A Moment of Unsteady Peace

Tumblr user @team-grumpy-hunter-and-gay-angel wanted a fic with: Hurt/Comfort, sick fic, bathing each other, pining, angst, post hunt caring for one another, Dean is hurt. No Endverse. Anywhere else in canon is good.

It's set during late season 15 and there is no deal with The Empty.

I wrote this listening to "Unsteady" by X Ambassadors and "Peace" by Taylor Swift on repeat, and they inspired the title.

Dean pressed a hand to his ribs on the right side of his chest and groaned. Why did the bunker have so many stairs? You’d think the Men of Letters would have had the forethought to install some kind of magic elevator. He leaned against the wall and rested his head. Maybe he could hang out up here for a little while. Get his strength back before making his way down the stairs. Less chance of ending up as a pile of broken bones that way. Well, more broken bones, if the ache in his ribs was anything to go by.

“Dean?” Cas called out as he raced across the war room and up the stairs to Dean’s side. “What happened? I thought you’d finished with the vampire nest in Abilene last night. You didn’t mention getting injured.”

“I wasn’t last night.” Dean grinned at him. Judging by the copper taste in his mouth and Cas’s increasingly worried expression, his teeth were probably covered in blood. “I picked up a milk run case on the way home. It was supposed to be a quick salt and burn.”

“If it was such a quick, easy hunt, why are your ribs broken?”

“The ghost was friskier than I expected.” Dean gave him a lazy wink. “I can’t help it that even the dead want a piece of this.”

“You’re insufferable,” Cas said.

“Aw, come on, are you really going to glare at me all night, or are you gonna help me down the stairs?”

They both knew Cas’s grace wasn’t up to healing Dean at the moment. Not since Chuck had started fucking with Cas from a distance. And with Jack out of town with Sam and Eileen, that left Dean needing regular first aid.

Cas wrapped an arm around Dean’s lower back. His touch was warm on Dean’s hip.

Dean closed his eyes for just a moment. Just long enough to think about shifting the fingers cradling his ribs down to brush against the warmth of Cas’s skin. Instead, he opened his eyes and pushed away from the wall.

The stairs took a little longer than normal to navigate, but Dean wasn’t complaining. Not when Cas was freely touching him like this. Not when Dean felt so terrible after the fight with the spry ghost who’d tossed him around like a fucking rag doll.

BnHA Chapter 238: Shigaraki Tomura: Tattered Goth Remix

Previously on BnHA: Young Shimura Tenko killed his whole family, as angsty young misguided antagonist characters sometimes do, and then proceeded to wander the streets feeling all sad about it until All for One just happened!! to come across him and was all “oh you poor thing it looks like you killed your whole family by accident, let me just adopt you and raise you to be my own personal killing machine.” We got some more flashbacks showing just how this transformation took place, plus some answers about the hands that kind of just raised more questions though tbh, and watched as little Tenko made his first premeditated kill after a number of effed up AFO pep talks. AFO then rechristened him “Shigaraki Tomura”, and we learned that Shigaraki is actually AFO’s own last name. The chapter ended back in the present day, with Tomura reflecting on how his family’s death wasn’t really a tragedy after all and ended up setting him free. We’ll have to agree to disagree, kid, but in the meantime have fun fucking up Re-Destro and dealing with Gigantomachia’s rampage!

Today on BnHA: Re-Destro tries to smash Tomura at 100% and absolutely nothing happens. So then he summons a bunch of robot armor bits like fucking Iron Man, and levels up to 150%! Tomura could not care less, because he’s leveled up to be one of those “yawn, is that all you got?” bad guys now, and while RD desperately tries to intimidate him, we briefly check in with the rest of the League. Everyone is freaking out at how quickly Machia is destroying the Liberation Army, and Compress calls Ujiko and frantically begs him to warp them all to safety. But Ujiko is all “nah” and says he wants to drive Tomura into a corner. Meanwhile Gigantomachia finally takes out Dairy Queen, since Dabi was doing fuckall, and the chapter ends with Tomura possibly killing Re-Destro?? To be honest it’s really unclear. For all I know the dude just dropped dead of a heart attack from all that stress. In fact, now that I’ve typed that, I kind of think that’s what did happen. Anyway! The point is I’m pretty sure the battle is finally over.

(All comments are my unspoiled reactions from my initial readthrough of the chapter. I did a quick edit for grammar and clarity immediately afterward, and added one or two ETAs in the process, but aside from that there are no changes.) 

so I mentioned this in an ask post a couple days ago, but this recap is a day late because I was out of town this week. consequently I’m behind on my asks and other things as well (I know, what else is new), so I’m sorry about that!

also! @temperatezone informed me that there’s yet another BnHA spinoff coming out, and that the preview chapter debuted last week! so I went to check it out, and holy shit, it’s a manga all about the U.A. kids teaming up with various pro heroes!!!!??!! between this and the new anime season coming up in just two months (it’ll fly by) and BakuDeku: Heroes Rising coming out in December, I feel like I’m being fucking spoiled with BnHA content. and I didn’t even mention the 2nd light novel which just had its official English translation released last month! so all in all it’s a lot of good stuff, and I desperately want to recap chapter 0 of the new spinoff as soon as possible, but it’ll probably be a few days unfortunately, unless I decide to be very irresponsible and do that instead of the piles of work I should actually be doing. we’ll see which impulses actually win out sob

fortunately Jump is on a break next week if I recall, so that’ll give me some time to catch up. anyway let’s start this thing before I manage to procrastinate anymore! so the new chapter is called “Liberation”, probably after a certain army

and the chapter is picking up where we left off before, with Tomura taking his Father Hand out of his pocket and saying he doesn’t need it or any of his other hands

maybe the title isn’t referring to the Liberation Army after all! or just one of those cool double meaning things

We don’t think about possession enough for how it makes players feel. Touching the ball feels good. Every time a player puts his foot on the soccer ball, he feels a spurt of happiness. Sometimes you should pass the ball just to make players feel good; it builds energy and confidence. Even though that individual pass doesn’t matter, the fact that the player feels happy and confident will matter when it’s time to make a more decisive play. One reason Luciano Acosta has been so good over the last couple months (aside from the Rooney fella) is that he’s been getting lots of extra, seemingly needless touches.

For Toronto FC, the biggest difference between the Michael Bradley of 2018 and the Michael Bradley of 2017 appears to be the ability to get his body to do the “hard” things. Rodriguez is finally showing why the Sounders made a TAM-level investment on him. He’s comfortable on the ball and uses his low center of gravity to glide past defenders. More importantly to this specific Sounders team, he’s makes smart, dangerous runs off the ball. I highlight the word dangerous. Cristian Roldan and Nico Lodeiro have excellent movement, but it’s usually not directly dangerous toward goal. Lodeiro and Roldan often move to find the ball to feet or to make room for teammates, and Rodriguez makes that action into a goal scoring position. Rodriguez offers counter movements to the other players in his line on the field that makes the Sounders more dangerous.

Like Rodriguez, Bwana offers something unique that the Sounders might need in the playoffs. Bwana can change a game; he’s fast, fearless, and unpredictable. He’s not clean enough to be a starter yet, but he has the ability to do game-changing moments. If Seattle need a goal late in a game, Bwana is a nice option to turn to.

Seattle are now three points back of Sporting KC and LAFC, and Seattle have Houston and San Jose left on the schedule. SKC play Dallas and LAFC, while LAFC have Sporting and Vancouver. Considering at least one of SKC or LAFC need to drop points when they play each other, Seattle has a real shot of getting *at least* home field advantage for the Knockout Round.

Orlando scored! It was their first goal in more than five games. And they actually carried the match in the second half and maybe deserved an equalizer.

Matt Doyle sent me a message after Seattle’s first goal, “Dude, Orlando’s defense…” He’s right. I don’t have much to say about Orlando at this point, so let’s break down how that conversation (shouting match) probably went down in the locker room at half time. Here’s the goal to refresh your memory:

It’s Scott Sutter at right back, Shane O’Neill at right center back, Lamine Sane at left center back, and Will Johnson at left back.

O’Neill: “Lamine, where were you going?! Why did you get dragged out so far!?”

Sane: “What do you want me to do?! The guy got beyond Will! If I didn’t slide over, that runner was in on goal! You should have seen that and moved central to cover the space!”

O’Neill: “I couldn’t slide over! I had an attacker to my right! If I had come closer to you, the guy to my right would have been in!”

At which point both center backs should have turned to Sutter to yell “And what were you doing?!!!”

To which Sutter wouldn’t have a good answer. He has no reason to be so far wide on the weak side. The basic rule says the weak-side defender should be inside an imaginary line to the far post on a play like this. If the ball goes to an attacker that far wide, the defense can deal with it. If Sutter is tighter to the middle, he’s closer to the Seattle player that’s pinning O’Neill to his spot, then O’Neill could move central and track Rodriguez’s run down the middle.

We are too critical on professional players for some things. This is something we should be more critical of players for. This is an elementary tactical mistake from Sutter and the Orlando City defense.

At the 60-minute mark, I was thinking to myself, “You know what’s going to doom SKC in the end? They don’t have a player with the little extra skill or quality to make something out of nothing when they don’t look like scoring.” Then Yohan Croizet banged home a one-time curler from 18 out to tie the game. It both negates and accentuates my initial concern. Croizet was brought into this team to be that guy. They have a bunch of very good players, but they don’t have a moment-of-magic guy (think: Carlos Vela, Zlatan, Nico Lodeiro, Diego Valeri, etc). SKC don’t have the artist who sees the things the others don’t. Croizet was supposed to be it. And his goal Wednesday night reminds us of that fact, but also how rarely he does it.

SKC are good at pretty much everything. But they don’t have someone they can reliably lean on when they need it. History says you usually need that guy at some point in the playoffs.

Just when we thought Diego Rubio had won the starting striker position, Khiry Shelton makes a huge play to get Sporting their go-ahead-goal. It was a prototypical Shelton play — not pretty, and more for his teammate than himself. Then he added another assist in garbage time. In just his second appearance in three months, Shelton has possibly reasserted himself into the starting XI conversation.

On Vancouver’s side, oof. Talk about opportunity missed. Vancouver controlled their own destiny. Yeah, it was a difficult journey left, with three playoff teams left on the schedule. But a win on Wednesday could have tied them on points for the 6th spot in the West. and they went up 1-0, and they led until the 60th minute. It’s a tough one to stomach. The ‘Caps can still get in, but they need help now.

Of course y’all fucking swapped us. I was JUST getting to know people and now I have to start over wooooo can’t wait. 

I like the tribe I guess. Elmo and I were separated which is sad, but I still have Sammy and now Stephen. Things are looking good...I hope.

Ack! The swap! But hey my OG tribe has majority, I only haven’t met one person before, and I don’t have to worry about Olivia and Lukas teaming up to kill me.... yet. Im really glad to have second chances with these people I just hope they see it the same way, we look like a strong tribe too though there are some powerhouses on the other tribe still.

So I'm trying the Room of Requirement task. It seems hard, mostly because I am not the best at anagrams and because I am having the hardest time finding any of the items. At least, the website is actually working now, only messed up a little bit lol.

My plan in this swap is twofold: first, make friends.  Okay, fine.  Elmo seems nice, Kevin seems...desperate.  Sure, fine.

Second step: BURN MYKONOS TO THE MOTHERFUCKIN GROUND

Basically, if and when we lose, I am going to go to Elmo, Kevin and the third one I've forgotten and say "Hey, listen, obviously y'all have the numbers, and that's chill.  But here is the thing: there's a six-person alliance and I want to burn it down so we all don't get fucked at merge, so let's vote Kylie out and then Olivia."

Will it work?  Who knows!  Will it be fun? Hells yes!

Gulp this challenge isn’t looking good and if it comes to tribal I am worried. I hope I can work something out with Lukas Anna and Madison, Joanna, or Sammy, or even Alex C if thats the only option. If we do lose tribal it’ll be info gathering time, trying to SUBTLY find cracks in the for. Or in the worst case scenario betray Zonko for some kind of position with Rosmerta.

Yeah, so, um, I suck at anagrams. Sammy, who is someone I trust 100%, said he went for the room as well, but said that he didn't get there first. I'm currently trying to decide if it is even worth trying to solve this anagram at this point. But I know that I want to work with Sammy. With a little help from Sammy, I finished the anagram and have submitted the link to my host chat, knowing full well that I am not getting a trip to the room. Mostly just wanted to finish it, because I would have felt like a failure if I didn't lol. Anyway, I hope that Olivia went for it and got it! I can't wait for Sammy and I to be reunited with her (and bring Lukas too).

I am really stressed about losing that immunity. The people that I DO NOT want to go: Lukas and Sammy. The people that I would prefer not to go but if sacrifices have to be made: AJ/Anna. I think Alex C is a very big asset in terms of challenges, but that is a little scary going into the merge. Stephen scares me a little because I have played with him before and I know how smart he is, but I also want to work with him because he is super smart and we never got a chance to really repair the broken ass relationship we had in Mykonos (game wise). Madison... she has barely talked to me... Lukas says that it would be a big move to get rid of her, but like I haven't formed really any type of relationship with her and she hasn't been doing that much in terms of challenges. She's looking like the best option... I'm planning on asking around a little bit to try and see what everyone is thinking but ya know, when people don't talk to you it is hard to tell

Madison tells me she’s heard Lukas name. I’m good with that. But Joanna tells me she’s not close with Madison and isn’t opposed to flipping on the Rosmertas. On one hand getting out a Rosmerta could help even numbers, but looking forward I’d rather break tribelines than stick to them. If we have less Zonko and more Rosmerta then its less likely to become ZvR at merge. But I want both Madison and Joanna as potential allies as I still dont know what really went on pre-swap. I don’t think I should tell Madison what Joanna said, but I might be able to sway Joanna to vote Lukas. I’ll wait to see what Alex C, Sammy, and Anna think.

I've changed my mind. Before I was thinking that in a dire situation I would vote for AJ. I have decided I was lying to myself, I am not voting for her. I want her to stay, because I really really like talking to her and I would just be sad to see her go. Idk why I thought I would have been okay with it.

yikes okay so we are going to tribal...i tried to get a lot of them..we were just three behind, rip. I found the link to go to the room of requirement but I was too late..somebody already beat me. I think it could’ve been elmo, Alex, or Olivia. I’m really hoping it was elmo. He is probably my closest ally and I’m trying to distance myself away from all the mykonos people...but i want to work with some of them. For example, Joanna and I didn’t get to work together in the game because we never got the chance. Stephen and I were going against each other in Mykonos but I wasn’t to try to work with him here. Olivia and Lukas are gonna work together so that makes me extremely nervous. I like Anna, she’s super cool and I’m really hoping we can work together for a long time. Alex is a great player all around so he makes me a bit nervous. So this tribe swap is stressful. I have Stephen and Lukas from OG Zonko and then I met 4 new people... which obviously means we are in the minority if people are sticking to their og tribes. I vibed really well with Joanna and Alex C, they are really fun people. I don't 100% trust them yet but they are really fun to talk to. 

We lost immunity... shocker.. a tribe I'm on loses??? I'm shocked. Now I've heard literally everyones names except me or Joanna. People wanted Alex because he's so good at challenges but people that good at challenges go early merge and we need him to win the next challenge if we don't swap or anything yet. Every og Rosmerta has told me they like me more than their original tribe and that they wanna work with me, do I believe it?? ehh.. does it make me happy? hell yeah.. 

Alex wanted Sammy which threw me off because everyone has been saying Stephen. I don't want Stephen to go because he's an OG Zonko and i told him I would try to keep him safe. Now yes, I am going to TRY but I'm not going to put my own neck on the line for someone else. I don't think these tribe lines are too strong and I think they can be broken next round. People are also saying Stephen is a sneaky player from past games so maybe that is true? Who knows. My vote is still up in the air but I have work in like less than 2 hours so I'm gonna have to decide quick.

I'm having a great time!!!!!!! We won!! This is so nice oh my god I spent three hours on that challenge and only found three things and i was so worried but we did it!

I can't believe we won again! I've been immune every single round which is lit af :') I lowkey made f2 with Kevin and talked about with Olivia. Gotta have your bases covered, yknow? I've been trying to keep talking to Ruthie, Kylie and Alex S so if we eventually lose, we can have an easy vote. ALTHOUGH, I do have to admit that I'm paranoid that the OG Zonko's are going to team up with Ash and vote Kevin off (I think that Kevin would be the first target because Kylie and Olivia are friends and I THINK they like me so they wouldn't want me out first. Who knows though! My perception could be really off!)

Rosmerta's tribe will be interesting to see because I hope that my OG tribe stays together to vote off one of the OG Zonko's. Pray for Rosmertas and Anna! If Stephen or Lukas went out it would be VERY nice because it would definitely weaken the supposed Mykonos alliance , still not sure if its true but there's defo rumors of that being a thing

Go to sleep to drama, wake up to drama. Its the drama ouroboros. So apparently Lukas, Sammy, and Joanna are targetting me for Mykonos, which is very rude but not unsurprising. But Madison Aex and Anna are going to save me and vote Sammy? Idk who to believe but I am more tempted to trust Anna atm.

Alright kids, we finally won something!  And thank gods too, because this weekend was TERRIBLE for me to try and scramble, so I got real lucky.  Also, of the 30 items, I found, like, half?  And I could've had more if I had, like, spelled Colin Creevey's name right?  So I feel good about that.

Ruthie - light of my life, my moon and stars, I must ensure I have the opportunity to push her in front of a train at some point

Elmo - Easily the one I've talked to the most since the swap.  Nice kid, I like him, I think he's playing more naive than he actually is but that's fine.

Kevin - a mess, I'm love him, asked me for help on the challenge because he is a disaster, hopefully I can pocket him

Kylie - literally didn't message me until today, okay girl

Olivia - we keep missing each other and also I want her dead because Mykonos sooooo

Ash - whom

Operation "Save My Ass By Turning People Against Mykonos" is absolutely a go, though my hope is that I won't be in too much danger as a challenge asset, but this is also nearing the point where you gotta cut the challenge assets loose, SO!  We'll see!

I expect Anna to be voted out on the other tribe tonight because she is not a Mykonian and I know she was busy yesterday because it was her birthday, so I suspect she may not have had as much time to bond with the tribe as she would've liked.

I am a sneaky bitch holy hell. See Sammy and Joanna messaged me at the same time wanting to vote off Stephen. They also both wanted Madison gone for a hot second. So my thought process went to “huh, what if they do that to me?” So I went to AJ and asked if we could vote off Sammy. Then asked Madison, and told Stephen he basically had to or he’d be voted off.

Idk what it is with Sammy. I like him a lot as a person but game wise I just don’t think we’re ever exactly on the same page.

I also got into the room of requirement and got the marauders map. I picked it because of Daddy Lupin and that’s really only why. I get to see what alliances (or how many I forget) a person is in. I can use it once until the final seven. I don’t think it’s the strongest power I could’ve gotten but somethings better than nothing.

so i was trying to be less lazy and started deleting unwanted photos and videos in my camera roll and i stumbled upon a 100 questions tag i screenshot some time in dec 2016 and i never got round to doing it and since i’ve got some time now i’m gonna do them all here just for the fun of it and also to “train” my typing and visual skills :-)

2. do you like the feeling of cold air on your cheeks on a wintery day? - singapore doesn’t have the 4 seasons, it’s constantly summer here with the occasional monsoon/rainy days but yes i do like the feeling of just air/wind in general on my cheeks and everywhere else really

3. what random objects do you use to bookmark your books? - scrap pieces of paper, receipts

4. how do you take your coffee/tea? - i like semi-sweet black coffee for something hot/warm but i love cold drinks best

5. are you self-conscious of your smile? - currently, a little bit after i noticed how crooked one of my front tooth is and how there’s like this stain which as told by my dentist was probably caused by a medicine i wasn’t supposed to take when i was younger because it’s an irremovable stain even if i bleach my whole set of teeth white :-)

6. do you keep plants? - i don’t but the family has them, given by my uncle. my dad takes care of them every morning

8. what artistic medium do you use to express your feelings? - it’s not very artistic but sometimes when i’m angry i’ll cry :-) LOL

10. do you sleep on your back, side or stomach? - i used to sleep on my stomach but after the surgery i got used to sleeping on my side and it’s been that way ever since then

13. what’s something that made you smile today? - a voice message han sent me asking if i’m ok or if i’m unwell just because i decided to sleep early yesterday night and then i went on his twitter and saw a tweet saying i should tell him if i’m sick and not keep it from him hahaha idk why but it made me smile because it was something so small but i guess it was quite out of the norm for me to want to sleep early which was why he was worried hahaha

14. if you were to live with your best friend in an old flat in a big city, what would it look like? - a huge mess because we’re both lazy bitches loool but i guess something we have in common is, the lesser the furniture the better!

19. do you keep a journal? what do you write/draw in it? - i used to but i can never get into the habit of writing daily as you can see, the same goes for blogs too lol but i had this scrapbook i bought and wrote down lame things like a mini biodata, and then i think in sec 2 i asked the whole class to sign their names in it 

20. what’s your favorite eye color? - brown like farhan’s ;) ayyyy HAHAHAHA i’ve always like green eyes that sometimes changes into dusty gray under different lights

21. talk about your favorite bag, the one that’s been to hell and back with you and that you love to pieces. - i would say my kanken bc it really has been with me to hell and back since i always had to carry my mac around but i’ve been really digging this black backpack my mom got me the other time and have since carried it every fucking where i go
