Ik letting Olivia go is commonly considered the best ending just because every other ending is more obviously and immediately worse but I can't help but think, well... Olivia deserves to grow up too. She might be happier living in the static past before her parents died but I could imagine another world where she got to grow up, find other things that make the present worth living, process her grief and walk out of the time loop of her own denial. It's what she wanted, but she wanted it in that moment, that tiniest fragment of the length of her life that could have been - that will now determine her forever. Would she want this forever?

Olly’s Throne Room Scene, Translated Directly from the Original Japanese Script

Hi! Out of both curiosity and the desire for people to better understand Olly’s hatred for Toads, I’ve translated the original Japanese version of Paper Mario: The Origami King’s scene in King Olly’s throne room!

I hope this can help others realize the original intent and impact of the scene, as in the Japanese version, it sounds much less like a parody and more serious.

There are a lot of differences between the English and Japanese versions of PMTOK, so if this gets enough support, I’ll be working on translating more scenes from the game, especially those with a focus on the original characters exclusive to PMTOK! (Olivia, Olly, the LoS)

Yeah so that thing I’m doing with Office Supplies Journey where you have to fight the Shadow spirits of the Legion quite a few times

It’s like…Devon tries to find a way to help take down the big boss (Yes, the Final boss) at the start (Depending on which path it is, it’ll be shown at different points. So Devon’s would show you this pretty early bc you have to actually do this part on her path.)

Anyway, so Devon accidentally releases spirits from another Dimension. The Umbramonias and the Light Faeries. The Light Faeries are your guides. The Umbramonias show up to disrupt your Journey and fight you a few times. On the last time, you either accept that this dark side is an innocent being and help them heal or you “Erase” them
