You know how Grace calls Danny Danno because she couldn't pronounce Daddy when she was a baby. So for her Danno is her way of calling her Dad like how people have Pops, Dad etc. Does that mean everytime Steve calls Danny Danno he's basically calling him Daddy?

Mochizuki Tea House opened in the 1920s and closed in 1973. It was torn down in 1975 to make way for the very white and bland Kunawai Terrace condos. The pond is now Kunawai Springs Urban Park — but it’s nowhere near as beautiful as it used to be. On a side note, according to local legend, mo’o (Hawaiian shape-shifting lizard spirits) reside at the pond.

Kyo-Ya Japanese Tea House opened in 1956, renovated and modernized in 1991, closed in 2007. A Tokyo-based developer wanted to demolish the building in order to build an ugly 350-foot ‘condotel’ tower, but it was opposed due to height limits and a few people who actually voiced concerns about erasing every last bit of the city’s charm. Now is Hui Car Share. Oahu once had more than 30 Japanese teahouses, but today, Natsunoya is the only one still in business.

The Kanraku Teahouse opened c.1959 and closed in 1994. The building has since been demolished and some industrial buildings, possibly a Kamehameha School bus facility, currently resides on that spot. (Photo from The Hawaii Herald)
