1: What does their bedroom look like?

I liked this one! despite all the time i've been rotating Fiona in my mind, I've never really thought about what his bedroom looks like! It was fun ^^

Fiona’s bedroom is pretty intimate. It’s a lot larger than he can fill but the things in there are pretty significant to him. It’s the heart of his house –no one, not even lovers, are allowed in without express permission. 

Upon entering the room, the main attraction is the four-poster bed in the middle of the room. Beautifully dark green curtains hang off the canopy and serve as black-out curtains. (He doesn’t actually sleep in it that often. A lot of times he ends up asleep on the couch! But when he can… he sleeps in style –matching pajamas and everything!) 

To the left, a large vanity table with a mirror holds all the creams, powders, and lipsticks that Fiona could want. Most are neatly displayed and only the ones he regularly uses are on the countertop for easy access. 

To the right, he has a study table. A couple of physics and calculus textbooks (mixed with the odd law study guide here and there) litter the top of it. Most of them are holdovers from when he was a physics professor at a city university. (He adores that period of his life more than he’d let on. In the bottom right drawer are letters from former students, some thanking him, some drawings of him, and some pretty holiday cards addressed to him.) 

Like I said, it’s a large room. There isn’t much in it, but Fiona prefers it that way. Better to leave room from other stuff he’ll need than overcrowd it with meaningless ornaments now. 

6: Eating habits and sample daily menu?

time for me to dump all my foods in here too because Nigerian food rocks and I cannot be convinced otherwise <3

Fiona’s a very ethnic eater. A majority of food is Igbo/Nigerian food though he’s amenable to other cuisines. In addition, he doesn’t eat the same food twice in a week, skipping breakfast is fine (and maybe even lunch) but missing dinner is a crime, and coffee’s a no-go. Doesn’t like the taste. Doesn’t like the effects. Doesn’t like much of anything about it. 

He only drinks it socially and even then it’ll be decaf. 

Back to the daily menu, though! Coffee’s got me on a whole different tangent xD 

When he has breakfast, it’s something light: eggs and bread, pancakes, chicken nuggets, etc. Things that can be whipped up pretty quickly. He likes drinking hot chocolate in the morning, no matter the season –a holdover from childhood– though these days he’s more likely to start the day with cold milk rather than hot chocolate. 

For lunch, it’s more of a wild toss. When he decides on lunch, it can be yam and stew, lasagna, rice (coconut, jollof, or fried), or a handful of ethnic dishes he can make. Sometimes, the team goes out to eat and Fiona isn’t one to deny team-building opportunities. 

Dinner, however, is a requirement. His very favorite dish after a long day at work is: eba/pounded yam and soup. He likes to order it from Igbo restaurants but, on good days, he’ll make it himself. Alternatives for the rest of the week include: abacha, pepper soup, beans + plantain, and okpa.

 (1) Inspection of air intake resistance. If there is resistance in the intake and exhaust systems, it will be the 1U-5470 engine pressure assembly (Figure 3-1-46). 

 1) Check the intake pipe and exhaust pipe of the engine air filter to ensure that the pipes are not leaking.

 2) Check the engine air filter element. Use a clean engine air filter

 3) Check whether there are traces of dirt on the clean side of the engine air filter element. If traces of dirt are observed, it means that the contaminants have entered the engine air filter element and/or filter element seal. . NOTE: Hot engine parts can cause burns. Allow the engine and parts to cool before servicing the engine. Contact with a running engine can result in burns from hot parts or damage from rotating parts. When working on a running engine, avoid contact with hot or rotating parts. 

 4) Measure using the differential pressure gauge in the 1U-5470 engine pressure test assembly  

①As shown in Figure 3-1-50, connect the vacuum port of the differential pressure gauge to test position 3. Test location 3 may be anywhere on intake manifold 2 behind engine air filter 4 and in front of wheel booster 1.

 ②Open the pressure port of the differential pressure gauge to allow it to communicate with the atmosphere. 

 ③Start the engine. Run the engine at high idle speed with no load. 

 ④Record the pressure value, multiply this pressure value by 1.8, and then compare it with the corresponding value below. There is resistance to airflow through an old engine air filter. There will also be some resistance to airflow through a clogged engine air filter. in In the above two cases, the resistance must not exceed 6.2kPa; the resistance of the air flowing through the new air filter element must not exceed 3.7kPa. 

 (2) Inspection of exhaust resistance. Back pressure is the pressure difference between the exhaust pressure at the elbow outlet and the atmospheric pressure. The tools required to check exhaust resistance are 1U-5470 engine pressure components (Figure 3-1-46). NOTE: Hot engine parts can cause burns. Allow the engine and components to cool before servicing the engine. Contact with a running engine can result in burns from hot parts or injury from rotating parts. When working on a running engine, avoid contact with hot or rotating parts. Use the differential pressure gauge in the 1U-5470 Engine Pressure Test Assembly to measure exhaust backpressure. Use the following steps to measure exhaust back pressure.

By • Olalekan Fagbade Mexical Doctor sent to jail for allegedly defrauding his friend of N6million A Grade I Area Court in Kubwa, Abuja on Friday ordered that a 34-year-old doctor, Kelvin Royce be remanded in a correction centre for allegedly defrauding his friend of N6 million. The Judge, Ibrahim Rufai, adjourned the matter untill Oct.2 for ruling in the defendant’s bail application made by the defence counsel, Enabosi Anenih. Anenih moved a motion for bail application for the defendant citing sections 36(5) of the 1999 constitution as amended and 158, 162, 165(1) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA). Anenih prayed the court to use its discretion to grant the defendant bail in the most liberal terms. The prosecution counsel, Mr John Okpa however, opposed the bail application, saying that the defendant had earlier absconded. This, he said, is a violation of the provisions of Section 162 of ACJA. Earlier, Okpa told the court that the complainant, Amaka Ibeh, reported the matter at the Byazhin police Divisional Headquarters, Abuja on Sept.25. Okpa alleged that the complainant paid N6 million instalmentally to the defendant to help her process an admission into a Canadian University sometime in February 2022. He added that since the complainant paid the said sum to the defendant, he absconded. Different Catagories of Nigerian Groundnuts

Here are the most popular types of groundnuts in Nigeria:

Java: The Java peanuts are pink-skinned peanuts that are spherical in shape. Java peanuts are one of the topmost categories that Nigeria exports.

Samnut 23: Samnut 23 is one of the most popular open-pollinated peanut seed varieties in Nigeria, which is resistant to rosette and matures early. 

Kampala: The Kampala peanuts are quite big in size and are generally exported or sold for commercial purposes. As compared to local peanuts or breadnuts, the Kampala groundnut has the highest amounts of potassium.

In Nigeria, groundnuts are a valuable source of income for many small-scale farmers. Many tribes in Nigeria classify groundnuts as “okpa or opapa” (Ibo), “isagwe” (Edo), “EPA” (Yoruba), “omizaguo” (Owan), and 'ayayaa” (Hausa).

High-yielding Peanut Varieties in Nigeria 

The most high-yielding types of Nigerian groundnut are the new SAMNUT 24, SAMNUT 25, and SAMNUT 26. SAMNUT 23 and SAMNUT-24 have the highest oil content.

The SAMNUT 21 generates high forage yields and high grains. Some varieties require less rain, while some types mature very quickly.

The ambient temperature required to grow groundnuts in Nigeria ranges from between 27°C and 30°C in Nigeria. Generally, groundnuts are grown in the Northern part of Nigeria in states like Kano, Kebbi, Kaduna, Katsina, Adamawa, Jigawa, Borno, Sokoto, Taraba, Bauchi, etc.

Benue State is the largest producer of groundnut in Nigeria. Kano State is well-known for its groundnut pyramids, which were invented by a famous businessman in the region, Alhassan Dantata.

Nigeria is the third largest producer of groundnut after China and India. 3.9 million hectares of land were planted in 2019 with groundnut in Nigeria (FAO, 2021).

The top export markets for Ground Nuts of Nigeria are:

United Arab Emirates ($127k) United Kingdom ($112k) Netherlands ($43.2k)

Other countries where Nigerian groundnuts are extensively exported to are Pakistan and Ghana. Nigeria imported $965k in 2021, making it the 106th largest importer of Ground Nuts in the world.

Use of Groundnuts in Nigeria

Groundnuts are grown in Nigeria for producing biodiesel fuel, extracting oil, preparing food, and making insecticides, daily use products like hair cleaners and glue. These nuts are also used as animal feed, production of peanut flour, and as a snack.

Peanuts are eaten in Nigeria in many ways. People prepare delectable stews or like to boil them whole in its shell, roast them, and salt them. It may be roasted, boiled, or fried. People make sweets like kuli-kuli and nkate cake from these groundnuts. Groundnuts can be used instead of egusi to produce "groundnut soup," especially when it is ground after drying.

In West Africa, peanuts are used in authentic soups, stews, or marinades. Peanut oil is also popular, along with peanut butter which is popularly used as a thickener in many dishes. West Africans love peanuts in marinades and rubs to add flavour. Common dishes are okra, chilli, and other spices, peanut casserole with chicken, and Bambara - a peanut butter rice pudding.
