hey to a gorgug liker what do you think about his nightmare section from sophomore year? cause I feel like the horror there is less “ah my grandparents were racist” and more “fuck am I being a stereotype? are the people who hate me right about me?” cause wrt to his having to modulate between barbarian and artificer in fhjy it’s like. idk

Tbh, I had zero recollection of the racism stuff until reading this. It was just SO MINOR. His trial in the forest felt really lackluster to me. I feel like everyone else's really dug into an issue at the core of their character and his felt more like "everyone is getting a trial, what do we do for gorgug?" And idk if that was just a bad delivery/call on Brennan's part or if it could have been helped by Zac engaging more in it but it just. Didn't feel like anything. It was a lot more about the dice than the horror of the claustrophobia and the bugs and you've never fit in anywhere you live to make yourself smaller wherever you go you're just the loser who hits hard. Like yeah I guess there was an overarching theme of Gorgug gaining confidence in himself but it was done very poorly imo.

And I think his trial in the forest was wrong for putting such an emphasis on his intelligence. I think that would have been much better suited in fy, back when he was still being heavily bullied, but beyond that it felt like a quick and easy thing for them to grab. Yes, he had insecurities about his intelligence with all the complications with Zelda. But, to me, the focus of fhsy was his HEART. It put a spotlight on how his social circle has grown, and his bully is his friend now, and he's not alone anymore. His interactions with Ayda, the friendship book, trying to help Fabian, I believe in you spring break, it's Gorgug keep going. I made a post earlier in the season (including a great addition by another user) that I think articulates that emphasis on his emotional intelligence very well.

Fhjy HOWEVER. I think it's doing everything that sy failed at. It's giving him space to have an inner conflict. It's addressing lots of little issues and conflicts he's had over the campaign and combining them into one coherent piece. Like, guy was in a relationship pretty much all of fy, and then dealt with the fallout in sy, but I don't think we've EVER seen as much quality relationship development with Gorgug as we have in jy. He and Fig spent an entire summer together trapped in a tour bus and no season has indicated that bond and friendship more than this one. He and Riz have found something to bond over, meanwhile in previous seasons there was pretty much zero one-on-one personal interaction between them. Fabian expressed sadness over Gorgug leaving the Owlbears, because it was the only thing they had that was just for them to hang out and be friends.

Just with that, we're already doing leagues more with Gorgug's character than we ever have. And I haven't even STARTED on his barbificier journey, oh dear god lmao.

Gonna preface this bit with a post I made before the season even started. It was about Zac's steady improvement in his performances with every PC, and how I was predicting that it was gonna culminate into a Gorgug that does him the justice he deserves. It was initially supposed to be a criticism, but I got a little lost in the sauce of loving my boy lol. Still very relevant to the topic of this ask!

God, where do I START?? Addressing his relationship with rage? I'll be honest, I didn't think that would ever be used as a character arc. And I'm not even sure why I've felt that way. I just didn't think... I didn't think about how he might've had a dislike for his own rage. Like, the WAY he rages isn't bad by any means, but I don't think it ever crossed my mind how actually harmful his lessons to sing to combat rage were. No, I did not like the way Porter went about teaching him (a bit too unsupportive of his capabilities and reminiscent of shitty teachers for my liking). But his point about EMBRACING anger; that rage is not bad and does not— should not— need to be stifled. THAAAAT. That opened up such an interesting dialogue for Gorgug.

I do appreciate the beginnings of Gorgug's interest in artificing in fhsy. I think the crumbs of it back then did a great job of leading into his larger commitment to multiclassing. And I think what he's been doing with it this season is exactly what was lacking in his section of the nightmare forest. His trial was a puzzle, based entirely on die rolls, where his solution after failing even when he's assisted by the enemy is to essentially give up. I understand that facing their fears was the whole point of the trials, but his section came off as incredibly anticlimactic and unfulfilling. Just the fact that it was a trial based on stat numbers more than the development of the character itself.

Where junior year succeeds in actually showcasing his intelligence and the evolution of the worth he holds in himself is with the hands-on approach it takes. Yes, the academic rolls are still dice and stats, but there's a physical manifestation that wasn't there before. Gorgug is smart when it comes to getting his hands dirty. It is in the practical applications of his skills that his brand of intelligence shines the most.

And while, once again, I did not LIKE Porter's heavy resistance to multiclassing....I have to admit that I don't think Gorgug would have had such a boost in confidence without that struggle. Even if my boy had trouble expressing it to Porter verbally, HE STOOD UP FOR HIMSELF. Instead of simply rolling over and agreeing that he wasn't built for a technical class and it was stupid to try– he was DEFIANT.

The kid who said "I'm a dumbass. Eat me you stupid bug." took on FOUR CLASSES. Three school years worth of artificer simultaneously. AND stayed with the Owlbears. AND went along on party missions to help Kristen's candidacy. AND was always on deck to help the party with the overarching plotline.

AND HE ACED IT!!! THE FIRST BARBIFICER THAT THE AGUEFORT ADVENTURING ACADEMY HAS EVER SEEN!!!!! He is paving the way for every unprecedented multiclass that follows.

Just in comparison to who he was in the previous season, the amount of drive and self-worth he's gained is astounding. In my eyes, it's done more than enough to makeup for the way his development fell flat in sophomore year.

i hope this fulfilled the ask in the way you were hoping! i told you i'd get carried away lmao. writing a bunch about any of zac's characters is always such a joy. gorgug had always been my favorite of the bad kids but i always found myself wishing he went deeper, y'know? and now it's real. my precious anxious boy has been handled so well. and watching zac's growth as a performer has been such a blast.

Review: I am a huge of discordiansamba’s writing! It very descriptive and the stories tend to have a lot of interesting moving parts. This fic in particular is great for its worldbuilding and the magical, dangerous adventures Heiji gets involved in. And Heiji trying to hide stuff from Conan always makes for some good tension.

Review: We get to see Conan interact with Kaito, and that always makes for fun secret identity shenanigans. And we even get to see Kaito get involved in solving a case!

Summary: Takagi Wataru would like to register a complaint to whichever deity thought it would be hilarious to toss him into odd situations with Kaitou KID. Repeatedly. Because this was far beyond his pay grade.

Review: A fun story with a mix of characters you don’t see very often.

NOTE: Uses Guide & Sentinel tropes, which I’d never heard of before but I guess it used to be popular in fanfic in the 90’s? Basically Sentinels have superpowers and Guides help them control it. The two tend to be lifelong partners, but it can be romantic or familial or platonic.

Summary: As a Level 5s Sentinel and skillful detective, Kudou Shinichi helps the Tokyo Police Department whenever they get stuck with a case, his Guide Ran at his side to ground him when needed. After a KID heist, it becomes clear that Guides are dissapearing and Shinichi and his western counterpart Hattori Heiji are knee-deep into the case, especially because this one hits far too close to home for comfort. When then even phantom thief Kaitou KID gets involved, things are bound to get... interesting.

Review: A GREAT story that does a good job with worldbuilding and characters’ relationships. While it focuses on Conan, my favorite part of this fic is the arc the Kaito goes through and the way this story takes a look at his motivations and moral compass.

It's Raining Men, Hallelujah by Asuka Kureru

Summary: Conan already has some kind of corpse magnet power, but when Heiji is in his orbit the corpses actively come to them. From above. Witness.

Review: A fandom classic! Short and hilarious.

Review: A vigilante AU with a badass Deku (or, in this case, Kuroko) who puts the whole Hero Commisison to shame. The rivalry between Deku and Bakugou is so intense in this fic, I love it.

Summary: Midoriya Izuku has always been written off as weird. As if it's not bad enough to be the quirkless weakling, he has to be the weird quirkless weakling on top of it. But truthfully, the "weird" part is the only part that's accurate. He's determined not to be a weakling, and in spite of what it says on paper, he's not actually quirkless. Even before meeting All-Might and taking on the power of One For All, Izuku isn't quirkless. Not that anyone would believe it if he told them.

Tales of the Jade Mantis by Chess_Blackfyre

NOTE: A multi-part series

Summary: The adventures of Inko Midoriya, Number One Vigilante in all of Japan, and her complicated relationship with the Number One Hero, All Might. However, it's not all about kicking butt and taking names, watch as the telekinetic in the leather jacket struggles with things like brutal mentors, working in customer service, and trying to be a good single parent.

Review: The only fic I’ve found with Inko as a vigilante! Quite the journey, this one goes over her career as a vigilante and what comes after when Izuku suddenly has a quirk. I love the weird adventures Inko gets up to and the interesting people she meets. One of my all time favorites!

The heroes swore to be better, but still made the same mistakes. And for four years, everyone believed he was until Aizawa caught sight of a well-known vigilante and decided to investigate. Everyone believed it until Yagi bumped into a kind child on the street and tried to give him hope.

Summary: Midoriya Izuku is quirkless. This, he knows very well.This is also what he knows:Weekends and vacations are reserved for walking neighborhood dogs. The elderly are the most powerful people on Earth. Local gods are picky eaters. Trust is a feeble, feeble thing. Magic cards are incredibly difficult to seal, especially when the world thinks you're a vigilante. Heroes are not magicians, but magicians can be heroes.Becoming a cardcaptor wasn't on Izuku's bucket list, but he'll be damned if he doesn't make the best out of it.

Review: Deku doesn’t have a quirk, so he gets sucked up into some magical card captor responsibilities and goes all out, as he does. This one has an analytical Deku, otherworldly magic, creepy villains, and some tension between a vigilante Deku and hero society as a whole. One of my absolute favorites!

Quirk: Knife! by brightredwings

Summary: Izuku Midoriya is unlucky, to say the least and life hasn't exactly been kind. Things weren't so bad in the beginning, but once he was diagnosed quirkless, well, it all went to shit. Everyone grew to hate him, even his best friend and own father.Was it really that impossible to become a hero without a quirk? It doesn't really matter because to Izuku, the term hero is flexible. He'll be his own hero because he's learnt from his own experience, people are selfish and the only one he can rely on is himself.Left alone to fend for himself in the world, Izuku goes out to change things on his own terms, despite his methods being slightly illegal. Keyword, slightly. It's only illegal if he gets caught, right?

Review: A long story with great arcs for a lot of League of Villains character, and a beautiful ending. Some pretty intense angst with happy endings for everyone.

Summary: Katsuki was really fucking sick of the smell of flowers.

Review: Ah, yes, KiriBaku with hanhaki disease. Mostly from Bakugou’s point of view, so you get to see all his frustration and a ton of drama. Also looks into some other characters like Midoriya and Todoroki, which is a nice touch.

Review: A very sweet love story. (KiriBaku)

Review: Right what it says on the tin. Deku’s added deafness creates more tension between Deku and Bakugou, his classmates, and even other heroes. Things get angsty but Deku always stays determined, which I love.

NOTE: This is actually part 5 of a series, but I just started with this one and didn’t feel lost. Just know that in this story, Gabirel isn’t Hawkmoth. Most of this was written before Season 1 ended, I think.

Summary: On their fourteenth birthday, the Agreste triplets' world is turned upside down. Their government has been overthrown, their city taken, and superheroes all over Europe have suddenly and mysteriously vanished-including, to their shock, their parents. They'll need to work together, and become the heroes Paris needs, if they're going to save both their parents and their country.

Review: A next-gen fic that got me into ML fanfic in general! It’s got a fun dystopian vibe and the Agreste kids are all fleshed out very nicely. One of my absolute favorites!

So you are going to make a fanfic about Pokemon, huh.

Are you a pokemon fan? Or you known about the franchise enough? or is a case of you, waking up one day and thinking:" I'm going to make a Pokemon Fan-Fic!" And started to consume media from it in order to make a story?

I was a child in 1998.

During that initial invasion of Pokemon into the West, when Pokemon was far more than simply the "most profitable media property in the world" that it is today, when it was a tidal wave phenomenon that swept away an entire continent, I was something of a Pokemaniac. I had Blue Version, Red Version, Yellow Version, Pokemon Pinball, Pokemon Stadium, Pokemon Puzzle League, Hey You Pikachu. I had (and still have) every single card from the first three TGC sets, included the oh-so-vaunted holographic Charizard card. I had Pokemon figurines, I had toy Poke Balls, I had Pokemon stickers, I had Pokemon stamps, I had Pokemon clothes, I had Pokemon strategy guides, I had Pokemon choose your own adventure novels. I had the then-complete runs of both Pokemon Adventures and Electric Tale of Pikachu (I vastly preferred the latter). I would wake up early every day to watch the Pokemon anime on TV. I went to Pokemon The First Movie opening day and remember walking into a theater packed to the brim only to hear a man scream—to my delight and assuredly my mother's horror—"SEATS IN THE FRONT ROW!"

Of course, it's been 25 years since 1998. I've played most of the mainline games since then (GSC, RSE, DPP, SuMo, and recently SV). I've seen a few of the endless array of movies. For some reason I watched the entire SuMo anime. So yeah, I still like Pokemon.

Is it my favorite thing ever? No. The unfortunate reality is the games are pretty formulaic and often have questionable design choices. It's not like Mario or Zelda, other nostalgic Nintendo series, where the devs put their heart and soul into each new mainline installment.

But the fundamentally fascinating elements of its world continue to interest me. I've always seen the Pokemon world as a near-future nigh-utopia, clean and neat and orderly, with large swaths of the population free to pursue their hobbies rather than slave away at some useless job. I've always wanted to delve into such a world narratively, as opposed to the endless dystopias that seem to clog contemporary fiction.

Chicago was written as a kind of critical response to To the Stars, which is a utopian story that glosses over the steps taken to reach utopia. I wanted to peer more deeply at how a world akin to that in To the Stars might actually be created, the kind of political turmoil and upheaval required to eventually integrate the panacea to mankind's ill—magic—into functional society. A Pokemon story would instead be about the utopia itself. What does it mean for society that children are not simply allowed but encouraged to leave home at 10 to pursue a vague, unstructured path to become what is basically a competitive sports athlete? What has had to happen to society for such a thing to be not simply okay, but preferred? And what does it mean for that society's future development, especially considering a world where rapid evolution of generally symbiotic non-human creatures is possible? And why, in this peaceful and low-scarcity world, are there so many insane doomsday death cults essentially seeking to usher in the apocalypse?

There are two works of literature that particularly influenced the direction of my idea for a Pokemon fanfic. The first is Eyeless in Gaza (unfortunately topical title) by Aldous Huxley of Brave New World fame. Gaza is a mostly autobiographical story touching on a variety of topics, and one chapter near its end involves the main character traveling to Central America, where he meets a strange, idealistic man named Dr. Miller. Dr. Miller espouses many ideas about anthropology, especially ones critical of or antithetical to British imperialist pseudo-scientific anthropology: "An anthropologist is a person who studies men," he says, "but you prefer to deal with bugs. I'd call you an entomologist [...] the only remedy is for the bug-hunter to throw his bayonets away and treat the bugs as though they were human beings." But the most interesting thing he talks about, the thing that has stuck with me more than anything else in the otherwise mediocre novel, is soccer.

"But [football is] the greatest English contribution to civilization," said the doctor. "Much more important than parliamentary government, or steam engines, or Newton's Principia. More important even than English poetry. Poetry can never be a substitute for war and murder. Whereas games can be. A complete and genuine substitute."

Dr. Miller envisions a world where competitive sports replace the destructive and combative elements of humanity; he teaches soccer to small Mexican tribes as a way to settle their differences instead of war. What does a utopian society look like that has replaced conflict with competitive sport at a grand, worldwide scale? In our world, the Olympics are often spoken of in similar terms, but Pokemon appears to have actually accomplished this lofty goal, to the point that becoming a trainer at 10 is more important than standard education. By setting my fanfic at a prestigious, global tournament, I become perfectly posed to explore this question...

The other point of inspiration comes from Underground, Haruki Murakami's nonfiction account of the 1995 Tokyo sarin gas attacks committed by the cult Aum Shinrikyo. The book contains numerous interviews with both survivors of the attacks themselves and former members of the cult, and ends with Murakami's essay on how the Japanese social psyche allowed this event to occur. Describing the cult members he interviewed, he says:

To all of them I posed the same question, that is, whether they regretted having joined Aum. Almost everyone answered: "No, I have no regrets. I don't think those years were wasted." Why is that? The answer is simple—because in Aum they found a purity of purpose they could not find in ordinary society.

This idea of "purity of purpose unfound in ordinary society," what does that mean in a society like Pokemon's? In a utopian society, where nearly all needs are met? Where sports replaces conflict?

Anyway, I've started to veer off topic, so I'll cut it short there. I'm incredibly excited for this project, so I hope all of you decide to give it a read when I finish!

Video game hot take of the day or really more like a video game hot discussion because I know I'm opening myself to a discourse and I want to give an actually though out and decent take on something that's kinda always on my mind involving Smash Bros and frankly the perception of Nintendo franchises as a whole.

So I think it is fair to say that for better or worse, Smash Bros as a series has drastically altered people's perception of certain video game characters. I know it is essentially a gateway for many to be introduced to this cornucopia of franchises both belonging to Nintendo and not belonging to them. Hell, factor in competitive players who might not ever purchase another Nintendo game in their life will know who guys like Fox or Captain Falcon are from this game alone. And because of the level of success as a franchise has reached, there is a certain prestige that comes from being in that roster. People who are deep in the wool of Nintendo fandom and the casuals can all recognize them from this simple to learn hard to master game.

I've said in a previous post a lot of people view Smash Bros as a video game hall of fame or a celebration of video games as a whole. You make it there, you are synonymous as a pillar of gaming. But the truth is its not really. Oh sure we treat inductions into smash as a big event, but this wasn't some independent committee of adjudicators decided that this character has to be in Smash Bros, its ultimately up to Nintendo and the deals they can crave out in back rooms we aren't privy to. I'm sure Sakurai and co try really hard with getting guys like Banjo and Terry into the roster, but ultimately it comes down corporate negotiation. At the end of the day, Smash Bros is a Nintendo product. with a goal of selling many units and creating enticing additions to the game that may also coincide with deals they have with other companies or even advertising plans for themselves.

And with that in mind, if we decouple that prestige, we are left with something else. That ultimately characters and the franchises they are from in Smash Bros are not all the pillars of Nintendo. Now that sounds harsh and I really want to make it clear, I'm not at all saying these are bad games. However, I am not under the perception that just because Ness is in every Smash game means earthbound is a franchise that Nintendo needs to keep in perpetuity alongside Mario and Zelda.

And before I continue, I really want to stress this. I get it. It sucks to lose a series that you love. It sucks that art, characters, worlds, stories that you are invested in can just cease to be because they don't sell enough to justify sequels and the company that owns them have no interest in taking that risk to continue making them. I am a Fire Emblem fan, I know what it is like for your franchise to be on death's door and potentially getting shelved. We were lucky we got Awakening which was a game that appealed to old fans but also made a bunch of new fans. And there is no denying that some percentage of new fans learned what Fire Emblem even was because of Smash Bros.

So I am sympathetic to the plight of people who want series they love to return. I understand that if you are a Star Fox or F-Zero fan you are literally dying for new content. To be given that same shot at second life that not only satisfies existing fans but also grows the franchise into something sustainable for many games. But the truth as it is, is that Nintendo as a company don't see that as a viable new stream of revenue and there isn't really an incentive to take that risk at this time. They may just be too niche of a game without the strength in sales to justify investment into future titles.

I have heard this take before, but there are people who do genuinely believe that the first ever roster of smash characters from the N64 should always have a game. That these are Nintendos all stars. The Justice League of Nintendo characters. But once again, set the prestige to the side, you'll realize that's not even what the original Smash Bros was about. Like Captain Falcon? He's just here because his model is similar to the rough prototype of Smash, Dragon King. Jigglypuff is just here because their model is similar to Kirby. And I'll be honest, that's not really convincing me that we should always have a new F-Zero every gen or have Jigglypuff in every Pokemon game. At its core, smash was about making a fighting game that you already recognized the characters then invest in the gameplay and like any game that develops, it needed to make good within the limitations that it had to release a fun and satisfying product.

However, for many people they see this as the symbol of Nintendo IP. The showpiece of their iconic characters. Yet a good chunk of these guys are from games that are unavailable? Heck, for some people smash is the only time they'll see some of these franchises because Nintendo isn't doing anything with them.

So again, this isn't about "Stop whining! Your thing doesn't sell get over it!" My thing is that I do not believe that just because something is in Smash Bros means it is owed a new game or to constantly get entries. And that just because it is in Smash Bros means it is a priority for Nintendo to honor. At the end of the day, corporate interest will dictate that choices made in what games they make. And Nintendo is thankfully one of the companies that has way more than like 3 blockbuster IP is makes every year. I do have faith that fans can show an interest in something financially and that will get people to take notice. I do think seeing how massive a positivee reception people are giving Golden Sun being put on Switch Online may actually spur them to make a new one.

Nintendo has brought back some lesser known IPs of theirs, so I think it is disingenuous to say that Nintendo never tries to bring things back like some like to say. We have remakes of Advanced Wars, Another Code, Famicom Detective Club. These are safe but still a form of chance that goes beyond just making the millionth Mario game because Mario is guaranteed to sell. But the truth for some is that because they're not in Smash Bros they're not recognizable iconic character who haven't gotten a spotlight. When people say they want Nintendo IP revived they mean the popular stuff that they can recognize as Nintendo IP that was around before but is no longer like F-Zero and Star Fox and EarthBound. Which is thanks to the power of something like Smash Bros. Meanwhile Advanced Wars gets announced and you don't see people recognizing it as "The game Andy is from."

Now I never want to say never, I don't know what the future holds, perhaps we will see Nintendo put some serious weight and investment in a Star Fox game and its a game that's more than like a mid level indie team remake of it. Its an actual honest to god new entry into the franchise that not only does well, but also growing the fanbase beyond its passionate fans. And there isn't a shadow of doubt in my mind, that some people who have never touched a Star Fox game will recognize who Fox is and give it a try because he's in that fighting game with Mario and Zelda.

So yeah while there is a lot hype and bluster and something really cool about seeing all these video game characters under one roof and a lot of going beyond just the company of Nintendo, it really makes smash almost this institution. But I do think when we talk about games and choices Nintendo makes with the games they decide to make, we should set aside that sort of mythologizing that smash has done for some characters and franchises. And ultimately remember that this is a business.

Again, one last time for the road, this is not me saying your love for these franchises and characters is invalid. And neither is the desire to see them return. We will see waters tested. Look at F zero 99. It might not be GX 2, but it clearly shows they do care. They do want to preserve and introduce this game to people. Maybe it is that one small step towards F zero’s Metroid Prime/FE Awakening. But it’s still a calculated risk, there’s a reason nintendo doesn’t just make more games because it’s nice to have or because they’re obligated to.

Boy do I have thoughts.

I guess- I should say that the way I wrote Link in Roots is definitely not how I’d imagine him to be in cannon. If only because I feel Nintendo values the self-insert aspect of the Zelda games too much to let the character stray very far from the “stoic hero” archetype. If anything, the Link I wrote in Undertow is the most similar to how I’d imagine his canon self to be- largely just due to how he doesn’t outright reject his responsibilities (pre calamity at least. I do subscribe to the idea that he’s much louder and funnier after losing his memories).

Agh- but anyway lol see my rambling below.

Starting with Ocarina of Time (OoT), that version of Link is definitely sadder than the others. He had a pretty good childhood, but his adult life fell apart in much more profound ways than the others’. He’d be as quiet as pre calamity botw Link. There might be a hint of the mischievous fairy kid still left in him, but very little. Lots of longing and disillusioned feelings that would maybe be best replicated in pre calamity Botw Link, yeah?

As for Twilight Princess (TP) Link, he’s a country guy 110%. I imagine he’d be too restless to go back to farming though- not after the world got so big. I assume he’d be a great guy to talk to, best with kids/animals, probably one of the most well adjusted after all his trials and a good pen pal to Zelda. He wouldn’t be as lively after losing Midna, definitely, but he’s doing leagues better than OoT Link. Probably has a much more dry, sarcastic sense of humor than Botw Link’s “He has a dumb belly” absurdist comedy.

Wind Waker (WW) Link- at a glance I’d almost say he’d get along with Botw Link, but after more thought I think WW Link would despise him. Botw Link would willingly eat rocks or stuff himself in an explosive barrel for jokes, but WW Link would either have to be tricked or forced into it. He seems… high anxiety. But also irritable. He has the most common sense out of all the Links and that is probably exactly what his problem is. I don’t know why, but I get the feeling that most animals would attack WW Link on sight because of his constant bad, exasperated energy.

As for Skyward Sword— lol I think he’s so funny. I think growing up with Zelda “the Goddess turned teenage girl” would have had an impact on him. By far he is the most stable, most extroverted version of Link, but I think there’s something about him that would make him unknowable. He’s so relaxed but upbeat at the same time, seems like he’s always up to something but nobody ever knows what since he’s always asleep. He doesn’t have a thought in his head but he’s so perceptive too just- he’s just odd. But cool. Botw Link’s extreme stoicism pre calamity and crazy behavior post calamity would both stand out a lot next to SS Link. Yet his relationship with Botw Zelda most closely resembles SS Link’s with his own.

I’m not very familiar with the other 3DS Links etc so I can’t say much about them. These are also the vibes I get from how I remember all these Links after 10 years of not playing their games, so I could be wrong in how I’ve described them for sure.

Hey everyone! E here finally remembering to update this blog. I honestly just forgot which is funny as hell. I'm good just stilling dealing with fixing my laptop and using someone else's i kinda don't wanna intrude you know? This is the second chapter of my In Hope's Landing story, a gothic horror style story featuring a brilliant detective and a in trainee monster hunter *Hint, this chapter is about him*

Take care of yourself, your loved ones. Covid is still a thing so be careful (though the new updated booster is in the US so if you can get your shot), hand sanitize and all that jazz. Just sit back, exist, read a funny story from a guy who has too many ideas and just have fun. Deep breathes. one step at a time you got this but for now let's just enjoy this moment.

Summary: Rictavio Frye is the son of famous monster hunter Julius Frye. While Rozalin was busy solving an unfortune murder, at the same time the Fryes were also attending Count Decan's party for less than ideal reasons: A vampire had managed to worm its way among the elitist class of Hope's Landing and it was up to the seasoned hunters to find and stop it before it preys on more victims. Of course just as Rozalin had learned, things rarely go according to plan.

The party was in full swing and guests were indulging their every whim: plates piled to the point it wasn’t unusual to see a pieces of food trailing after their unsuspecting consumers. Impossibly beautiful and elegant articles of clothing donned by less than pious patrons performing unsavory acts. Scandalous, appalling gossip shared freely among grim grins with barely concealed loathing behind cheery glossy gazes.

Julius Simon Frye cut an imposing contrast to his son: Julius’s eyes were a warm brown unlike Rictavio’s stormy grays. The master monster hunter had a build befitting a man of his legacy: Average height yet muscular, his clothing perfectly form fitting, perhaps too much so. Ric was a fair bit taller with his own runner’s build less obvious to the naked eye. His father sported a rugged full beard while Ric’s face remained clean.

The pair were dressed to the nines: matching black dress coats to hide the various weaponry stashed in their pockets. White collared shirts though his father went with his signature dark blood red vest and tie. Rictavio opted for a more modest light blue vest, no tie and unbuttoned the top button to let his neck breathe. Black dress pants though they committed a social faux pas by wearing cleaned but otherwise inappropriate hiking boots. The only accessory visibly possessed by either of them was a cane the younger Frye required to move easier.

Both were expecting their outfits were allow them to blend in easily.

They were wrong.

Rictavio glanced first at his father’s clothing then his own “Our outfits would draw more attention to us than anything else we did. I’m 95% sure I just saw a jacket lined with actual gold. Besides, we were only granted entry because they wanted the novelty of boasting they saw a world famous monster hunter at Count Decan’s org…”

“Just because it’s true does not mean you should say it.”

“Imagine what they’d say if they knew you were working.”

“We.” Julius corrected sternly “No wandering gaze Rictavio. I’m too young to be a grandfather.”

Rictavio scoffed playfully “No worries there. Excessive displays of cruelty, indifference and decadence are not very attractive traits in a potential partner.”

“A vampire’s playground.” Julius murmured grimly.

“Not going to lie. If it wasn’t for my personal integrity, I’d be half tempted to let the creature just roam freely and clean up the mess after.”

Julius chuckled as a dark thought crossed his mind “Do you really want one of these fine folks to be an undead creature of hunger?”

Rictavio planted his cane firmly onto the ground while he straightened his stance.

“We should probably get to work.”

His father smirked impishly “That’s the spirit son! Keep an eye out for anyone exceedingly cozy with their companion.”

Rictavio casted a side glance to a room he dubbed ‘the make out closet’ because every occupants within were intensely trying to eat each others face.

“Like that?” he dramatically pointed at the previously mentioned room, leaning on his good leg to keep his balance.

Julius let out a hearty chuckle “Fair point. They’ll be trying to lure their prey to a quieter place, somewhere they could feed without being disturbed. Preferably…”

“Being able to ditch the body before it’s discovered there was an unholy creature lurking about.” The younger Frye chimed in with a bored tone “I know the tactics Da but there’s no private place available: People are dancing below us and the second floor is packed with guests and guards. Any room that’s opened is supposed to be and every room that isn’t is being watched heavily. At this rate the poor hellspawn is going to go to bed hungry.”

“Then what would you do if you were in its fangs?”

Rictavio paused thoughtfully, taking a moment to flit through the possibilities. Realization dawned on his face.

“Distraction?” Rictavio pursed his lips “That leaves a little too much up to chance, no?”

Julius shook his head “You clearly know nothing of Count Decan. How I envy you.”  

“I care little for any noble and their….activities.” Rictavio shrugged his shoulders apathetically.

“You should not be so quick to dismiss people son. You need to know them as well as the beasts we hunt if you wish to stay ahead. Count Decan loves being the center of attention.”

Rictavio groaned unhappily “There’s a fucking speech? Gods no.”

Julius patted his son with a knowing grin “Pick a corner and keep your eyes off the pretty lasses.”

“No promises.”

“The murderer is the Count himself.”

Rictavio’s whistle was lost in the sudden uproar of varying reactions to the detective’s bold claim.

What he had been expecting was a stuffy, pompous noble breathing hot air for a few minutes. What he had gotten was a murder mystery by a cute detective and watching the Count turn different shades of colors yet it was a distraction all the same.

Before he could get too comfortable he heard his father’s whistle. He glanced upwards at the second floor to see the older hunter motioning him to come. With a disappointed sigh Rictavio hurriedly made his way up the stairs.

“We must work quickly.” Julius said in a hushed whisper “We have no idea how long the crowd will be enraptured by the sudden turn of events and a cornered beast…”

“Is a dangerous beast.” Rictavio finished in a serious tone, thinking more of the Count than the vampire they hunted.

The second floor was devoid of any human life as all guests and guards currently a floor below enjoying the free entertainment unexpectedly provided for them.

The younger Frye began to search when he felt his father nudge his side gently. Julius pointed to a previously locked room now pried open, its handle snapped off with inhuman brutality and strength.

The two shared a quick nod before preparing for the fight: Julius produced a dagger from his boot and coiled whip from his coat pocket. Rictavio gripped his cane tightly as he fiddled with some sort of contraption under his weaker side’s pant leg.

“Will your device hold?” Julius asked, unable to keep the concern out of his voice.

Rictavio’s face winced in concertation as he began to move his leg experimentally, the sounds of creaking and scraping metal barely audible.

“I believe the brace will hold.” Rictavio grimaced uncomfortably “It seems to be working at least. I should have enough movement to deal with the beast but let’s not prolong the fight if we can help it.”

“Aye son.”

The two wore matching determined, grim looks: Julius, dagger and whip at the ready while Rictavio held his cane in both hands.

They approached as quietly as they could with only the odd creak of Rictavio’s brace and the detective’s distant words breaking the silence.

The Fryes pressed themselves against the wall, straining to hear anything that may be occurring within.

Rictavio’s blood boiled as he could hear the ever so muted noises of fluid draining among the sounds of weaken, labored breathing and slow shuffling of feet.

Julius acted first, however, flinging open the door while uncoiling his whip to full length in one fluid motion.

The room was massive yet nearly empty: A few chairs knocked over as a large circular table lay in the center. There were no lights within, either turned off or destroyed, so the shadows began to form into odd, monstrous shapes with brief illumination from the outside. Two blood red orbs gleamed in the dark, shifting from its prey to the intruders.  

Julius wasted no time. He lashed the whip towards the vampire.

The vampire dropped his victim, roughly shoving the poor redheaded girl Rictavio noticed earlier to the floor. He fell onto all fours, the whip narrowly missing his head with a resounding crack. The vampire hissed and growled angrily, its legs tensing to pounce forward.

Julius gave his enemy no quarter: He threw his dagger directly at the creature’s forehead. The vampire, startled, leapt to his feet. The dagger sunk harmlessly into the beast’s knee as he pulled away from the hunter and light, flailing.

Julius pulled his whip back before lashing out once more. The vampire tried to move backwards but it had been undead for so long it had forgotten that it was once a human. Its knee was forcibly straightened, the blade stuck in the joint that caused the creature to sway uneasily on a stiffen leg. The whip hit its mark this time, striking the vampire in the shoulder. It snarled and scratched at the air wildly while its shoulder began to smoke and hissed with the sound of burning flesh.

The creature learned quickly, pulling the dagger free from its knee and throwing it back at Julius with inhuman strength. The older Frye barely managed to dive out of the way, avoiding injury but he could hear the ripping of fabric.

The creature surged forward, knee fully healed and fingernails now as long as small blades. Julius was still rising to his feet when the vampire reached for his throat.

Rictavio sprung into action, leaping from his hiding spot and swinging his cane for the back of the creature’s leg. Buckling under pressure the vampire crashed to the floor, scratching the marble tile.

“Whoops.” Rictavio said insincerely.

The vampire whirled about, fangs snarling in rage. It lunged to claw at the younger hunter but Rictavio was ready. With a click of a button Ric pulled free the sword hidden within his cane and deflected the attack just in time. His brace groaned under the added weight but it seemed to be holding for the moment.  

The vampire pressed forward, trying to throttle his neck but Ric dug the cane deep into its shoulder, pushing it far enough back it could not reach any of his vulnerable sports. So his body in general.

Julius rose to his feet, pulling forth a small bottle as he did so. With a mighty throw he tossed the bottle directly at the vampire but it seemed to know what he was trying to do. Instead of swiping at the incoming projectile, it opted to dive sideways. Ric grazed its leg with a swipe of his sword but it paid little mind to the blow. The bottle of holy water broke harmlessly on the floor.

The vampire grinned, its smile twisted and elongated beyond human limitation.

“Eww, gross.” Rictavio shuddered at the sight before him.

The vampire’s featured turned uglier, its face breaking into a furious snarl as it leapt at him once more. Rictavio rose the cane to catch the vampire but that had been a mistake. Rather come at him hands outstretched, it simply crashed into his body. The momentum from the creature’s supernatural speed was too much for him and Ric buckled, falling backwards onto the ground. He managed get the cane between him and the mouth full of fangs waiting yet Ric was working at an awkward angle and couldn’t push the creature off.

The whip cracked, striking the vampire on the cheek. The steam wafted off the creature while it reeled backwards in pain. Rictavio tried to get to his feet but the brace jammed, locking into place from malfunction.

The creature glanced between the trapped Ric and the approaching Julius. Evidently it was no longer liking its odds and turn tail and ran. It flung itself over the railing like a wild animal and splatted below with an unseen thud.

They had been fighting for a few minutes so hopefully everyone had cleared out and it was a simple matter to chase to the beast down.

“V-v-v-va-v-v.” a voice stammered from below.

“Yes a vampire.” The familiar detective’s voice replied, calm and controlled.

Shit.

The old man hadn’t heard the people because instead of giving chase at once, Julius turned to face his son, unable to contain his worry but Rictavio refused to be a liability.

“Da! Over the railing!” his voice dropped to a whisper “There’s people downstairs still. We’re hunters. We can’t let it hurt them.”

That knocked some professionalism back into his father.

With a determined nod, Julius turned away from Rictavio knowing he should be along shortly. He took a deep clearing breath, pulled forth another bottle of holy armament and confirmed with a booming voice “Aye son, up and over!”

Julius broke into a sprint and leapt over the railing with effortless grace and poise.

Once his father was out of sight, Rictavio thumped the brace with as much force as he could muster. The mechanism creaked and snapped back into place, straightening out his increasingly stiff and aching leg. He wished he could switch it back so he could run instead of hobble but he couldn’t risk it jamming and taking him out of the fight. So with gritted teeth he slipped his blade back into the cane and limped forward with haste.

He reached the railing in time to see his father and the vampire circling each other, each trying to maneuver into an advantageous position.

The Bluecoat hid behind the smaller frame of the detective. Her face was grim but calm, dagger in hand. Most people would shriek and beg at the sight of a vampire but she didn’t. If this meant the end she was prepped to face it kicking and screaming.

Rictavio could respect that but he rather prevent if it was all the same.

 Rictavio took a deep calming breath as he waited for the next round of the brawl to begin.

I don’t need another au, I say, making another au where Time messes himself up royally and Hyrule gets to steal a car aged 9 to try rescue a random dog from a supervillian and crashes into tree. he and the puppy are fine, or he hopes so, the dog ran off and he ran in the opposite direction to avoid the cops.

Its a year or so later when Legend, whose car he stole and crashed, drags him home.

I’m not saying Legend /is/ batman, but Ravio did replace his car with a bunmobile and hacks the stock markets, and he does fight crime with a lot of cool tech, and he does have an adoption problem.

but also Time maaaaaaaaaaaaaybe caused the apocolypse but is trying to fix it (in between managing a farm and his lovely wife and being an apocolypse prepper except he knows the apocolypse is coming so does it count?), Wars might be a teacher for the superhero league stuck in a zombie apocolypse with like 5 superpowered children to babysit (including another, much younger version of Time who hasn’t developed time travel powers yet except for the fact he absolutely has), Sky is on his honeymoon when everything goes to shit, Twilight and Wild live in the woods but help with Time’s cows (they say they’re on the run from the government to be edgy. Twilight is just embarassed about the dog thing. Wild might actually be on the run from them he doesn’t actually remember). Wind’s sister was at school and now he can’t find her. Four/Minish’s grandfather is an absolute saint. Spirits isn’t sure what’s going on but he’s not letting go of his teacher’s hand. Ganon is actually working with the heroes as is most of the supervillian league (reluctantly and eventually) because zombies are worse actually.

Also Rulie’s blood is magic, and in a /lot/ of time loops he died for it. Oops. Time would rather not repeat that.

okay- so- Justice League Twitch streamer au anyone???

So maybe the league itself is just a group of streamers who've been all doing their own thing but they all meet online and do streams together a lot. they'll play a lot of multiplayer together, ya'know? but what about what each of them does individually?

Bruce- man still wears the cowl. its just rubber but that man wears it like his life depends on it, and he makes all of his kids wear masks in front of the camera too. he's just this gruff muscular dude with a low voice but he's just like playing celeste and star dew valley and shit. alfred will pop up on his streams from time to time to bring him food, all the viewers love him. Dream levels of popularity, but he's just a good guy and he donates a lot of the streamer income cause he's already rich. all his kids also have channels, i'll probably expand on those in a later post.

Clark: you know he's being the hero in every game he plays. he chooses the nicest option possible, he can't bare to break the npc's hearts. plays a lot of strange games that no one is quite sure how he finds, but he'll also play minecraft with his sons. lois is also a staple, regularly popping in to say hi to the stream and will occasionally take the controller or whatever and absolutely decimate the game, when he's struggling he calls her and she figures it out almost immediately

Diana: assassins creed, cod, apex, she's playing those games. everytime people see her in person they're shocked to discover that she is 6'8" and absolutely towers over everyone else at cons. she'll occasionally go on rants about history and different greek myths during eight hour streams and no one can quite figure out how old she is. especially when she talks about world war one as if she was there.

barry: racing games, just any racing game. he definitely plays sonic. he talks really fast and half the time no one knows what he's saying, and if the signals bad enough you can't see his fingers, they're moving too fast. lots of rambling rants, he's an adhd icon in the streamer community. everyone loves iris, they just love her. same with wally, half his viewers just migrated to wally's streams when he started.

Oliver: he seems like the kinda guy to enjoy stuff like elden ring, god of war, skyrim, shit like that. he also occasionally brings a real bow on camera and from time to time his streams will be interuppted by him picking up the webcam and going outside to do some archery as a weird form of rage quitting. he and dinah are a streaming couple, she has her own channel tho i'll discuss more later

Hal: a halo dude for sure, that and doom. unlike the others, he's a part of a company. he streams with the other lanterns a lot by contractual obligation so those streams are pretty weird, like hal is playing halo while Kyle is drawing and jessica is playing super mario brothers and guy is playing the sims 2, no ones really sure whats happening.

Arthur: yknow all those raft games where you're lost at sea? those. all of them. hes got a hot tub set up in his gaming room so he'll be streaming from there a lot and theres the occasional beach and surfing streams where he just goes off talking about sharks and dolphins for twelve hours and it seems like he knows more than hes letting on anytime the topic of the lost city of atlantis comes up. (which is weirdly common for him)

Billy: he's a vtuber. everyone is sure he's an adult, but he's actually a kid streaming from his and freddy's shared computer at the vasquez's. he opens all his streams by yelling shazam, something that all of his siblings have taken to doing as well. definitely a zelda guy. actually, anything nintendo. he got a switch for his 12th birthday and he loves that thing so much. animal crossing, splatoon, mario cart, smash bros with his siblings. everyone is certain he's an adult until he shows up to a con panel with the league and he's backstage and people are like 'where'd this kid come from?' and he's like. 'oh yeah im here for the panel lol btw batman says we're on in five.'

Dinah: she's playing gta and cod along with the last of us and silent hill, but sometimes she'll just stream coming up with a new song and half her viewers don't even watch gamers or anything, theyre just fans of her music so they come to support her. she has a lot of simps, like a lot. nothing will get rid of them. like i said in oliver's section, they stream together a lot. but, they never stream in the same room. their gaming rooms are on opposite sides of the house, the only time they run into each other while streaming is during snack runs.

*Our scene starts in the halls of the Smash Mansion. Ness and Jeff are walking down the hallway, already in mid-conversation*

Ness: So wait, you're saying that all of Kirby's end bosses ... ARE Kirby?

Jeff: That's right. Or rather, every end boss is a potential end result for a member of Kirby's species, if not Kirby himself.

Ness: But ... how is that possible?

Jeff: Well, it IS only a theory, but there is a lot of evidence to support it. For example ...

*Jeff's voice trails off as they wander down the hall out of sight. Meanwhile, Ganondorf steps out from behind a corner, revealing that he heard everything.*

Ganondorf: Interesting ...

*Several hours later, at the League's lair*

Ganondorf: Alright gentlemen, we're putting all plans to defeat Kirby on hold for now. Our new plan: We are going to corrupt the puffball and turn him into our own unstoppable eldritch abomination to use against the heroes.

*Ganondorf slaps some files onto the table.*

Ganondorf: I've assigned each of you a task based on your personal qualifications. Get to work.

Wario: Greed

*Wario and Kirby are walking down the sidewalk when they encounter a "lost" one-hundred-dollar bill that Wario had planted earlier*

Wario: *putting his hands to his cheeks* Oh my! It seems that some poor chap has lost a hundred dollar bill! Whatever shall we do?

Kirby: Poyo?

*Kirby looks at the money, then picks up the bill and attempt to give it to Wario.*

Wario: *resisting the temptation* NO, Kirby. It's called "finder's keepers". You found the money, so you get to keep it. YOU decide what YOU want to do with it.

*Kirby contemplates this for a minute. Then he turns and dashes into a nearby candy store.*

Wario: *rubbing his hands together gleefully* Yes! Yeeeeeessss!

*Kirby exits the shop with a giant bag of candy.*

Wario: That's my boy! Wait ... where are you going?

*As he watches, Kirby bounds across the street into a nearby park, where he immediately starts giving the candy away to the children playing there*

Wario: *DOUBLE FACEPALM*

Gruntilda: Vanity/Envy

*Gruntilda has invited Kirby to her tower, where she toils away at her cauldron*

Gruntilda: Puffball, keep your ears and eyes open wide! And I'll show you how to boost your pride!

Kirby: *confused* ... poyo?

Gruntilda: Cauldron, cauldron, boiling brash, tell me who's the cutest in smash?

Dingpot: The answer to that is easy to see, nobody can out-cute Kirby!

Gruntilda: *winces* Okay, we got lucky with that first whirl, but now tell me smash's cutest girl?

Dingpot: While there's plenty competition for this space, Princess Zelda takes first place.

Gruntilda: *angry* Now listen good, you son of a bitch! Tell me who is smash's greatest witch!

Dingpot: While I grovel at your feet, both Bayonetta and Ashley have you beat.

Gruntilda: Why you cheeky little pot! Guess who's going outside to rot?

Dingpot: I d- *IS YEETED OUT THE WINDOW*

Wolf: Lust

Wolf: ... I'm not sure about this.

Bowser: What?

Wolf: This just feels very wrong. Like, somehow the universe itself is going to punish us for this.

*Wolf bends down and holds a magazine out to Kirby*

Wolf: Now, Kirby, this is what we call a "Girly Mag"...

*Suddenly a window crash!*

Palutena: *crashing through a window* What's going on here!?

Rosalina: *bursting through the ceiling* Who's corrupting youth in here!?

Bayonetta: *smashing down a wall* Who do I need to punish!?

Wolf & Bowser: *hugging each other and screaming like little girls*

Ridley: Wrath

Ridley: ... What exactly am I supposed to be doing here?

Ganondorf: Just do your usual thing. Show Kirby how much fun it is to kill indiscriminately or whatever.

Ridley: Okay, first off, my killing is VERY discriminate. If it weren't, I literally wouldn't have any minions.

Space Pirate: It's true!

Ridley: Secondly, have you even PLAYED a Kirby game? That boy kills more indiscriminately than anybody! He literally just devours everything in his path, friend or foe! He doesn't need lessons from anybody!

Ganondorf: I'm mostly surprised to find out that you've apparently played a Kirby game.

Ridley: I HAVE LAYERS!

K. Rool: Gluttony

K.Rool: *stares at Kirby*

Kirby: *stares back at K.Rool*

Link looked Zelda dead in the eye with the most solemn expression she had ever seen on him. His chest heaved a deep breath. When he began to recite the poem, he didn’t need to glance at the parchment in his hands—he must have memorized it. 

“Your lips are red, your eyes are green, you make me feel like a King, please be my Queen.”

They held eye contact a moment longer before his facade cracked and his lips quirked up for a split second. It was enough for them both to burst into a fit of laughter.

“Oh boy,” Zelda said, pushing her reading glasses up to wipe tears from her eyes. “That was the worst yet.”

“Yeah? Worse than the one with ‘your heaving bosom nourishes me’?”

“Okay, fair, that was in a league of its own.” She shuddered but bent over a list on her desk to make two quick strides with her pencil. “Let’s have a look at what we have here. Eyes and lips. I’m catching up.”

Link glanced at his own list where dozens of ticks had accumulated under the word ‘eyes’.

“If you say so, Princess…”

Hades: A Family Vacation, you say?

Bowser: Yep. Mario's thinking about taking all of us somewhere eventful for the summer. Hope it's the beach resort.

Sephiroth: (Gently Rubbing the Top of Pichu's Head) Ah the beach..... A place well know for peaceful paradise.

Ridley: (Raised an Eyebrow at the One Winged Beside him in Confusion) You make it sound like you've never been to.one before.

Sephiroth: That's because I've haven't. I've been too preoccupied by all the chaotic events that happened in my life that the thought of going to one has never occurred to me until now. (Smiles a Little) Still, it would be nice to spend our days there. Spending more time with my son and whatnot. (Kiss the Top of Pichu's Head)

Pichu: (Giggles Ticklishly by Sephiroth's Kiss)

Mewtwo: (Crosses his Arm in an Uninterested Manner) I agree. It seems more like a well balance choice for a vacation if anything.

Hades: (Smirks Playfully at Mewtwo While Bumping his Shoulder With His) Well, look at you wanting to do stuff for once~ You have a change of heart or something?

Mewtwo: (Starts Getting a Bit Annoyed by Hades) I only wanted this so I can spend more time with Zelda and Toon. Nothing more.

Dark Samus: ................

Bowser: Ah don't say that, DS. I'm sure you'll look good on any swimsuit you wanna wear.

Ridley: (Starts Snickering) Or none at all....

Bowser: (Smacks Ridley Upside the Head)

Ganondorf: (Sighs Tiredly While Making his Way to his Seat, All While Being Covered in Ashes) I'm back......

Bowser: (Eyes Widened at Ganondorf) Christ, man. What happened to you?

Hades: And where have you been? It's almost like you've been gone for an eternity.

Ganondorf: I had to go out of town for a bit. (Sits Himself Down) I was thrown off a cliff towards a volcano.

Ridley: (Eyes Widened in Complete Shock) SERIOUSLY!? By who?

Ganondorf: (Points at Someone in the Back With an Annoyed Look on his Face) Him.

The gang turns and sees a man, wearing a business suit, a trench coat, and a spikey hairstyle, make his way to the table. All while crossing his arms in a bit of cocky like manner

Bowser: The hell are you?

Mewtwo: Kazuya Mishima.

Bowser: (Raised an Eyebrow at Mewtwo in Confusion) Kazu what now?

Kazuya: (Sits Himself Down) It's Kazuya Mishima. (Place Both of his Feet on the Table at Once) The head of G-Corp.....(Gives Everyone an Intense Glare) And the last person you want to cross.

Hades: ................. Charming. So I take you're one of the newer contestants in this tournament.

Kazuya: (Simply Nodded) That's right. I simply wanted to see if the fighters here are worth a challenge. (Turns to Ganondorf) So far, I'm not impressed.

Ganondorf: (Starts Glaring at Kazuya) You only say that cause you gotten lucky and won.....

Kazuya: (Starts Smirking) ('Heh') Please. I won because you were pathetically weak. I'd even go as far to say that you're unworthy of title of being "The Dark Lord". If that's really what people been calling you.....

Ridley: (Eyes Widened by Kazuya's Remark) Oh shit.........

Dark Samus: .........................

Ridley: (Turns to Dark Samus) I know, right? That has to be the most disrespectful burn I have ever seen in my life.

Ganondorf starts growling harshly at the man, before........

Bowser: (Immediately Jumps in Between the Two) OKAY! (Chuckles Awkwardly) How about we do a little introduction, huh? I'll go first. My name is Bowser. King Koopa, Father of eight-

Kazuya: I have a father once.....

Bowser: Oh! Uh... really? That's neat-

Kazuya: I killed him with my own bare hands. Leaving him to died in a pool of lava.

Bowser: (Eye Widened in Fear) Oh. Y-You don't say? D-Dare I ask why?

Kazuya: I hate him. With a passion.

Bowser: (Starts Sweating Bullets) ......You know, I would ask questions....But I can clearly see that it's...('Gulp') A tad bit personal for.....

Kazuya: ('Hmph') A wise choice for you to make, Turtle.

Bowser: B-But my name's Bowser.....

Kazuya: Don't care.

Bowser: (Whispers a bit in Fear)

Hades: Daddy issues and cold blooded murderer, all into one.......All in favor of having the bastard join our club, say 'Aye'!

Everyone in the Club: Aye.

Ganondorf: (Eyes Widened at Complete Shock as He Slams His Fist on the Table) WHAT!? Did you all forgot what he done to me earlier!? I could've been dead!!

Mewtwo: In all fairness, those feats does qualify him as a villain.

Bowser: Murdering your old man is pretty hardcore in villain standards.

Ridley: (Nodded in Agreement) Incredibly so.

Dark Samus: ..............................

Bowser: See, even Dark Samus agrees.

Hades: Plus, he did managed to beat you in a one-on-one fight. No use in faulting him for that.

Ganondorf: (Turns to Sephiroth for Assistance)

Sephiroth: (Simply Shrugs) I'd say we let him join. (Smirks a Little) He could benefit us in the long run.

Pichu: (Happily Nodded in Agreement) Pichu!~

The Dark Lord looks back and forth at the gang and Kazuya for a couple of seconds before groaning in utter defeat.

Ganondorf: ('Ugggh') (Pinching his Nose) I can't believe I'm saying this, but....(Sighs While Taking his Hand off his Nose) I suppose we could add another member to the league. Especially someone with a decent amount a strength. (Turns to Kazuya) What do you say? Are you in?

Kazuya: ('Hmph') I suppose I can accept the offer. As long as you agree to not get in my way.

Ganondorf: (Pull his Hand Out Towards Kazuya) Deal.

As Kazuya reluctantly about to shake his hand, he suddenly felt hard squeeze in Ganondorf's grasp.

Ganondorf: (Squeezes Kazuya Hand While Giving him an Intense Glare) Don't think for a second that I'll give you my respects just because you've obtain a lucky victory. Next time we fight, I WILL crush you.

Kazuya: You're never gonna let this go, aren't you? ('Heh') Fine by me. (Squeezes Ganondorf's Hand Back with an Iron Grip) You can come at me anytime you want. (Gives Ganondorf an Evil Twisted Grin on his Face) I'll be more than happy to keep putting you down on your knees like a dog you are......

Ganondorf: (Starts Gritting his Teeth in Anger) Looks like someone asking for a death wish......

Kazuya: I can say the same for you too, worm. Know your place.....

Bowser: (Watches the New Form Rivals Glaring at Each Other Intensely Along With Everyone Else) This is not gonna end well.......

Ridley: (Turns to Hades) Are you sure letting the new guy join was a good idea.

Hades: Oh I'm sure. (Smirks Evilly) Something tells me that there's a lot more to this Kazuya fellow than we can ever imagine.......
