(idk if anyone wants to keep hearing my opinions on totk book stuff but-)

apparently it says that rauru DID have kids, multiple even, which yeah... is kinda necessary for zelda to even be connected to them so much so that sonia can SENSE a blood connection (which, even with all the excuses with magic, is just a little too far for me to suspend my disbelief bc its over, OVER, ten thousand years worth of generations that seperate her from them that one lil touch of the hand can sense that (feels more like an attempt to make you care about them or .. see them as zeldas "better" parents just bc they exchange a few nice words, i never got the feeling they were 'better' parents and its also kinda disrespectful to her actual parents, like sure rhoam wasnt the best but i wouldnt call rauru better just bc he was polite)- i could see maybe the light power of hylia or sth but since its the coolest dude that ever lived rauru now that had it which still doesnt make sense and makes me unreasonably annoyed and she can sense BOTH of their powers in her? nah) the fact theres NOTHING about them in the game itself is just so ... no way they planned any of this

i dont think theres anything they can do or say that wont make be believe they either

are making it up alla 'fix it in post' mentality trying to hastily explain stuff the game never bothers to do to try and appease fans or let it appear as if they thought about it at all

something went really REALLY wrong during development, which kinda seems likely given how the game turned out (im sorry i cannot let go, its not just the writing, the game design too and how little was changed in the map while being so damn expensive, i dont know how people dont feel scammed q_q)

given that they (allegedly) spent the last entire year of development on polish (where??? where????? huh??? like it would make it more understandable (EXCEPT for the price) if there was alot of trouble, which was also bc it got delayed and ... turned out like this, but they dont want to say it, especially given their reputation, with that quote i have heard way too many times 'a delayed game blah blah') i just??

are they just gonna go and do it like they did with kashiwa (kass)? "they uuuh where flying around the whole time ony cool sonau tech maschines, you just dont see or hear from them ooooorrr they were uuuuh out of the country at the time" (sending invitations to other continents to join their glorious kingdom ;) )

(bet they are also gonna say they did all the stuff like ... moving the shrines around (lol?) and lifting the islands up into the sky- which is still weird bc ... didnt they also say they were living in the sky before coming to the surface?? so where?? did they park all their islands on the surface and the mystery kids had the keys so they had to repark them back into the sky after they returned off camera?? xD also why are the islands so different as an environment if they where from the surface? like even the STONE up there is different- and if they were first in the sky then on the surface and the nback in the sky .. why is there not a single yellow tree or grass in the past- you cant really argue that it changed bc they were up there so long bc .. nothing else changed, the suddendly and totally always there sonau buildings are largely in prime condition, only some slightly moldy, and what we see of the glorious past looks barely any different from the present, aside from like ... some standard trees shuffled, no castle yet and that glowy uwu filter DESPITE that stupidly long time frame between it)

Shocking news: being "high maintenance" aka going out of your way and spending time and energy on doing many little things to have your life the way you like it ... actually improves your quality of life

#i think the opposing pressure is the fear that doing the many little things will mean you can't do without them #which is a real fear but for me i'm needing more to cross that bridge when i come to it if ever #i can tell you for example right now that bringing foods from home and both a car teakettle and a small plugin teakettle #is dramatically improving my travel life and also my friends' who are using the kettle #saying ''actually i need more downtime before leaving'' and ''no i need to go sleep instead of hanging out''#is keeping me functional and pleasant and able to drive people around and make plans #bringing my own pillow and stopping to stretch several times throughout the day and taking preventative ibuprofen #has kept me from head and body aches #it feels embarrassing to be like ''oh i can't actually function well without these foods and teas and pillow''#but like. i can't function well without them. so isn't it better to use them than suffer in silence?

#keese draws #rain world #rain world survivor #rain world monk #rain world hunter #rain world artificer #rw survivor #rw monk #rw hunter #rw artificer #I don’t have the motivation to draw everyone else but I’ll share some tidbits of my hcs #gourmand is a scug that actually can invert their stomach but they usually don’t #spearmaster’s spear creation was engineered through modified mucus glands #I’ve talked abt this before but saint’s ‘fur’ isn’t actually fur but an insulating coat of thick foamy motified mucus #and rivulet spends a Lot more time grooming than any of the other scugs #not out of necessity they just need to get that extra energy out somehow during the long rains #but yeah I’m a fluffy slugcat hater sorry furries in the chat they are slimy lil guys to me #oh to be clear the purposed for cleaning hc is inspired by the pipe slugs but not directly referencing them #in my hcs oh scugs were typically more for getting junk out of larger bodies of water with pipes being more of a secondary thing #they were never fully aquatic but they used to be much more partially aquatic than their current counterparts #this changed as the inputs and outputs of their main food sources stopped functioning and they were forced to more and more so scavenge #in my minds eye their tails were originally used as a floaty of sorts for when they dunked their heads underwater to feed #but after they left the water they eventually lost the pouch of air in their tails so now their tails are mostly a nuisance #they do make grooming easier at least since reached to their backs every time would be hard

#man i dont even have the energy to be mad. im just tired #like. dont u love it when your parents exhibit symptoms of ADHD and your sibling is diagnosed with a learning disability #and instead of thinking oh shit what if the other one has smth too. they subject you to The Horrors #i cant bring myself to hate my parents. but im tired of feeling obligated to defend them when the thing they think is working #isnt actually working and ive just found other ways to cope to avoid any sort of conflict. like lying and stealing. lol #if someone took me aside and said 'hey so your brain doesnt make as much dopamine as usual and its not a bad thing it just means you #need external stimulation and reward system to function and youre not actually secretly fucked up or lazy' as a kid #im pretty sure i wouldnt be here rn with half the problems i already have. unfortunately getting diagnosed late means u dont have a teacher #to back you up at a parent teacher conference that forces your parents to take this shit seriously instead of ignoring it hoping itll #go away on its own. but hey what do i know i have squirrel ipad baby disease. what do i know about my own symptoms #AND. #i have an incredibly time-consuming project i NEED to finish and i genuinely don’t know if i can #i’ve started which is good but i’m horrifically behind where i need to be and i’m just so overwhelmed #i technically have enough time to finish it i think? but it’s my final project so i literally cannot miss this deadline #my professor is really cool + likes me but it’s already been so long w/out me bringing it up #and wtf am i supposed to say? yeah. i WANTED to work on it. i just chose not to????? like wtf #it’s just so humiliating and i’m so behind i don’t know wtf i’m gonna do #it’s worse bc it’s an animation and it’s gg related and i really really wanted this to be good and i wanted things to be different this time #kind of funny bc i’m actually mid getting an adhd diagnosis rn but it’s just so fucking awful because i do this constantly #it fucking sucks so much i feel so helpless and i don’t know wtf is wrong with me. i’m so tired of letting everyone down constantly #it’s so bad rn i literally cannot do anything. it’s humiliating like WHY can’t i just be a functional normal person #it fucking SUCKS because i KNOW if i had any self control or work ethic whatsoever i could be really fucking successful but i don’t.#so i won’t be i guess.#and i KNOW it’s tied into a bunch of different stuff too but like gd i DO NOT care i just want to be functional #worst case scenario i have an A in the class so if i completely blow it i’ll at least pass? hopefully?#i might be able to talk my prof into an extended deadline but it’s so embarrassing bc i didn’t need one in the first place.#i have literally no excuses #it just makes me so upset because i just keep doing this over and over and i don’t know how to stop it or how to get better #and LOL sorry for posting this here i just feel weird talking to anyone personally about this (+ currently avoiding responding to messages!)#it’s just like. man if i can’t get a fucking grip i will literally waste my entire life. Honestly i dont like sculk spreading/corruption storylines theyre really boring with a few exceptions

#at least make it MEANINGFUL. OR AN ALLEGORY SURE #but a lot of thr timr its just like #augh... ohnoo... thr sculkk.. its spreading and taking me ovrr.... fukkkkk.....#and then its either like poof all better now or oops fuck everythinfs dead the end #i just dont think theyre cool unless they have a specific meaning #like cub's sculk arc? that was really boring man ur not even from that server and ir didnt like do anything #i mean its funny from a 'its cub' pov but aside from that ehhh..... nah......#The corruption from s1 esmp was cool however but more because it served an actual function it was a good mass server event not caused by a #specific player but instead a mass storylune and players got to interact with it in interesting ways #but also there was never the threat of oh.... noo.... the entire world will become corrupted it was more WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS BIGASS PLANT #DOING HERE #and it tied into very nicely xornoth and that #esmp2 ALSO kind of had a corruption line with the fae but like.... what was that even.... i literally dint remember and i was there.....#it was boring......#oh and also owens nlsmp corruption storyline.... sigh....#there was so much potential for Sparrow and that storyline and i wish Owen had just gone 'okay i need people to roleplay as online for this #narrative' like Oli does #like u cant really do long term storytelling on what is a short term server if you arent ready to direct people and allow yourself to #control YOUR story the whole sculk spreading thing just seemed like a copout due to the server ending #where i think owen should have put his own content above what is technically true #its roleplay #like owen does roleplay well. but the difference is on the POW servers is that theres a set time and most people are on at the same time #but that just doesnt occur so much on youtube based smps and thats why i think until owen is able to direct more (outside of shared rp with #scott specifically) he's probably better suited towards streamed roleplay later edited #idk sculk storylines are boring basically they can work but only in an active server i feel #like with owens it was like 'oh fuck the sculk is spreading i have GOT to stop this!' meanwhile everyone else on the planet is like already #dead following his videos like idk man just didnt hit #there was also no specific defeat or true responce to the sculk either like ik there was the vault but idk #like overall. it was fine and i enjoyed it but thst doesnt mean i like sculk storylines
