Yay you're anwering asks again! Which seem to be old ones lol.
On the idea of mer Jonawagon where Jonathan is the human and Speedwagon is the merman, perhaps the rest of the Ogre Street gang could be mers as well, living in tightly-knit pods like orcas and coming into conflict with seagoers who see them as "monsters"? And with Jonathan as a human Dio would make a great human antagonist too, perhaps being a hunter of the mers who despises Jonathan for empathizing with them.
Perhaps Jonathan's meeting with them could play out like it did in canon PB, with them initially attacking him as an intruder to their turf before he shows mercy and kindness to their leader, thus earning their friendship.
Last one seemed to be from a couple weeks ago, but there are a lot that are a year old or more…. (sorry!!! bad brain has been an absolute bitch all of 2024 so far)
I really like your idea nonny!! I feel like the Ogre Street guys don't get the love and appreciation they deserve and I'm more than happy to be able to include them in these AUs too! I like the idea of them all being a gang still. They already have some intimidating appearances in the og, and that would definitely add to their mer versions as well. Seagoers would think of them at monsters at first sight, especially if they aren't familiar with merpeople or other "non-conventional" sea creatures, I'm sure 😔️ They -along with Speedwagon- would probably be outcasts on land at best (probably back at home too if they happen to be criminals or other types of "pariah"), and I think that could add to their bond with Jonathan, who thinks of them as friends (and more, in Speedwagon's case of course 🤭️💕️).
Idk if this idea was thought to be part of the Sailor Jona/Mer Speedwagon scenario?? But if so, then we can mesh both ideas and have Jona and Spw meet the way mentioned in the other post. They start getting to know each other and maybe arrange to meet again near land in the next port the ship is scheduled to visit.
The day comes and it so happens that Speedwagon's gang is hanging around that area before either Spw or Jonathan get there, not knowing about Spw's new human friend. Jonathan is the first one to show up at the meeting spot by the shoreline (and away from privy eyes, in the case of a universe where merpeople are not common knowledge? idk). Dear Jojo even brought some trinkets and things he thought Spw might find interesting and that no one onboard will miss. That's when Spw's gang notice him and jump into action, not only because he's entering their domains, but also because they have eyed those trinkets and want to rip them away from him. A fight ensues then. As limited as my knowledge on merfolk is, I'm pretty sure they are way stronger than humans (correct me if I'm wrong please!). I'm also guessing there would be no hamon in this AU, and so it's very likely that Jonathan would be overpowered eventually despite his superhuman strength from the og (can't imagine Jonathan not being buff and built like a brickwall, so he keeps his og massive size and frame). It's right there when Speedwagon shows up and scolds and shouts at his friends to leave the man alone. He was reaching the spot when he saw everything as it started going down, making him rush over to them as fast as he could. Spw's friends realize they kinda fucked up and apologize, helping Jonathan up and back on his feet. The idea kinda breaks my heart, but maybe some of the trinkets got broken during the confrontation and now Jonathan feels bad about it, although, he's happy that Speedwagon saved him from what would have very likely been a much worse outcome.
And of course Speedwagon is moved, not only by Jonathan's kindness since he really was under no obligation or whatever to bring him anything, and yet he did, but he's also moved by that faintest of pouts on Jojo's lips upon seeing what just happened to the little presents he brought for Speebs. Being mostly outcasts, I'm sure neither Spw or his friends are used to show or being shown love in any of its forms outside of their little group, so it comes as a surprise even to Speedwagon himself when he pulls Jonathan into a hug to make him feel better and stop worrying about the now broken presents. All this surprises Spw's gang too for the previously stated reasons, but it is clear to them now that their boss sees something special in that man and that, judging by his gesture of bringing him a present, he seems to be genuine in his intentions, and so they ease up on him, genuinely apologizing for the incident and what they have unknowingly caused. They are all wary of humans due to past bad experiences, but Jonathan continues to prove over time that he's someone they can fully trust and rely on, and so Speebs and his gang often follow him closely during his journeys across the sea.
#hopefully all my yapping made some sense lol#i love the ogre street gang so much you guys have no idea#nnngggghhhhhhh#thank you so much for the ask!!#jjba#merman speedwagon#speedwagon#speedguapo#jonathan joestar#phantom blood#(?#ogre street gang#also ftr: i will be using the names given to tattoo and kenpo in the musical as their names in any future asks involving them#hat lad will remain as hat lad since he still has no official name tho :(

From whichever Phantom Blood character and 'verse you'd like: "you're alive, i'm alive, everyone's happy." (I just watched this movie again last week so I couldn't resist :') )
This turned into a drabble that could have gone a number of ways. Violence and death threats below the cut. Welcome to Ogre Street. ;)
“You could have been killed!”
“Yeah, so could you. Just because you’ve got Hamon, that doesn’t make you invincible,” Robert pointed out as he mopped his face with a handkerchief.
“That doesn’t mean you can recklessly throw your life away to protect me!” Jonathan exclaimed.
“You’re alive, I’m alive, everyone’s happy.”
“No I am most certainly not! Stop walking away from me, Speedwagon! I’m not done being stern with you yet!”
“Did you say something, Jojo? I wasn’t listening.” He grinned cheekily as he stepped on top of his fallen foe, earning a pained grunt.
“Clearly. What…are you doing now?” Jonathan narrowed his eyes and tilted his head.
“Do yourself a favor, and look away, Mr. Joestar.” Robert replied with unusual coldness. “These sods tried to kill us on my own turf.” He clicked his tongue disapprovingly. “I need to make an example out of them to warn off further attempts on my life and my friends.”
“What are you going to do?”
“Nothing you can’t heal them from later.” He bounced on his heels to knock the air out of his human “doormat” again, making his downed foe groan.
“I can’t allow you to torture them, Speedwagon.” Jonathan minced closer.
“Now now. I wouldn’t call it that.” Robert stepped on the other thug. “More like a good chastising from their pa.”
“Please, Speedwagon.” Jonathan raised his hands placatingly. “You’ve made your point. You’ve knocked them down and disarmed them. Rather impressively I might add. You don’t need to do anything else.”
“But we haven’t even had a good dust up yet! Oi. Fine. But I’m warning you three…” He leaned closer and lowered his voice to a whisper. “If you mean to have another go at this, my mates will drag you off somewhere where only the rats will hear ya as they gnaw on your bones.” Leaving that cheerful imagery in their minds, he rejoined Jonathan. “So. Care for a drop to toss back or a cuppa?”
“A what?” Jonathan stared at the fallen men worriedly.
“Booze, tea, or coffee? Eh, don’t worry about them. Besides. The last thing they need is to see a man glowing. Even though nobody will believe them, rumor will spread. Don’t need any bobbies looking into it.”
“I…suppose you’re right.” Jonathan moved to Robert’s side, but just as he turned a corner, he saw one of the men Robert attacked raise a gun. “Speedwagon!” He pushed his friend out of the way.
A strange cry sounded. A figure leapt out of the shadows and delivered a debilitating kick to the gunner’s arm. Something crunched. He screamed.
“Sorry we’re late, Boss.” Another figure with a hat and large shoulder necklace joined Robert and Jonathan.
“Aww. You didn’t leave anyone for us to beat up.” A third voice came around the corner.
Robert chuckled. “You’re right on time, actually. I was just telling these rotters what you’d do to them if they dared show their faces on our turf again.”
“Aight. So do we beat them black and blue or gut them first?” Cronin cracked his knuckles, his teeth and eyes flashing bright in the shadows.
“Tattoo…” Jonathan frowned at him.
The man Amato kempo kicked was still screaming and writhing.
“Come on, Boys. Let’s go.” Robert wrapped an arm around the hat wearing man’s shoulders and gestured for Amato and Cronin to follow. “You can help us decide where to get a drink.”
Jonathan glanced back one more time at the downed thugs before he gave in and accompanied his friends. Life was always interesting on Ogre Street.
#writing prompts#Asks answered#tw violence#Sorry for the delay Friend. I didn’t like the direction this went and then I got super stuck and couldn’t figure out what to write next#I tried starting an alternate one with Joseph and Speedwagon but I blanked on that one too. The reason I love the Bird Trio/HwoaJinXiao polycule so much is because throughout the Tekken story, from part 3 onwards, Jin has mostly been alone and faced many challenges and hardships. It was difficult without his mother's guidance and even harder after Heihachi's betrayal. However, there are two people who have stuck with him and remained the closest to the very end...
Hwoarang and Xiaoyu.
Hwoarang
Hwoarang and Jin first met as teenagers on the streets of Seoul when Heihachi took Jin with him on a bussines trip. At the time, Hwoarang was a gang leader and has likely crossed path with Jin in an attempt to take a money from him, seeing how rich the young Kazama was. He didn't expect Jin to refuse, let alone resist in a great way, as he thought of him as nothing more than a rich spoiled brat, which the latter soon proved him wrong. After their fight ended up in a draw - something that happened to Hwoarang for the first time in his whole life - it sparked something big between them.
At surface level, it looked like a simple rivalry, like any other. However, Hwoarang was the only one who really pushed their rivalrly, demanding that rematch from Kazama over and over, every time they met, but Jin did not take it seriously, nor did he want to fulfil his rival's request at the time as he was focused on getting revenge on the Ogre, leaving Hwoarang frustrated.
After the events of the third King of Iron Fist Tournament, Jin goes missing, leaving the readhead with many questions, and as the time went by, Hwoarang found himself burning with a desire to get the rematch he demanded ever since he lost that day. Fast forward to the 8th KOIF Tournament, Jin and Hwoarang faced off each other again, reingniting that spark of their rivarly from their very first days of the tournament and finding the purpose of it once again.
The rivalry is one-sided for the most of the time being, as Hwoarang is the one who initiates the fight, and Jin being the representative of calm and peaceful Kazama path, so he did not bother with his redhead rival's constant demands. However, in Tekken 8, Jin has finally come to terms with his rivalry with Hwoarang and jas started to reciprocate the need for fight, as seen in their special intro where he says: "Come at me with all you've got." This indicates that he's in a much better mental state and he's willing to play along with his friend and rival, which Hworang accepts happily. They show affection for each other in mutliple different ways, mainly through their fights where they passionately display their will to come out on top and keep the fighting spirit ignited all the way through. Jin respects Hwoarang as his rival indeed, as it can be seen in their Tekken 5 rival battle cutscene, where Jin responds with "no" after Hwoarang asks him if there is somone stronger than him.
Of course, as I am a great fan of "rivals to friends to lovers" trope, the way these two interact made me feel many things about them.
Xiaoyu
Xiaoyu met Jin when he enrolled in the Mishima Polytech High. Being a jolly and extroverted girl with a kind heart, she saw how different and lonesome the young Kazama felt in the school, so she took the matter into her own hands and tried to approach Jin... and it worked.
The tragedy at Jin's home in Yakushima left Jin feeling hopeless and vulnerable for so long, so a person like Xiaoyu was a ray of light that had shown up right after the storm. Xiaoyu's main defining trait was her undying hope and determination and it was that which made her and Jin become close. We can also see Jin call her simply "Xiao" which indicates their close bond and informality that vanished as the result of the relationship developed.
Prior to the fourth King of Iron Fist tournament, as Jin was missing at the time, someone had sent Xiaoyu an email where they warned her about the nefarious plans of Heihachi Mishima, whose protegé she was. It is very implied that it had been Jin, as he had been planning to destroy the Mishimas bloodline along with him at that time. Later in Tekken 5, he warns Xiao to stay away from him and the Mishimas until he deals with Jinpachi, as another sign of him caring about her just as much as Hwoarang.
All up to the events of Tekken 8, Xiaoyu, with her friend Panda, has been in an endless pursuit of searching for Jin, as she was worried and frustarted with everything going on. Just like Hwoarang, she was in disbelief when she heard that it was the young Kazama who started the war, as she knew him way better than everyone else (with a little exception of Hwoarang). Not once did Xiaoyu think of giving up and she chose her allies carefully (Claudio, Zafina) in order to succeed.
Jin and Xiaoyu are each other's biggest supporters and they are the textbook definition of soulmates, as they both know what the other desires and they push one another to success.
TL;DR
Hwoarang and Xiaoyu are the only two people besides Jun that can inspire and move Jin in their own different ways. Hwoarang evokes Jin's fighting spirit and passion, while Xiaoyu brings out his compassion and kindess.
And this is the main reason why I ship them all together, and no amount of money or ridicule is ever gonna make me stop.
The end. \(^_^)/

In both the manga and anime, Speedwagon talks about how he traveled and visited many places. This seems strange, considering that he is a street thug and clearly did not have extra money to travel before the events of the first part of the manga. Do you have any ideas how he could have traveled to different countries? I have a hypothesis that in his youth, Speedwagon could have gotten a job as a crew member on a merchant ship and made several voyages, but I would be interested to hear your hypothesis ^^
Great question!!!
I believe that, like Dio, Speedwagon was born into poverty. Once he reached his late teens, he left London to explore the outside world.
I suspect that Speedwagon made his money by trafficking/smuggling illegal goods such as stolen artwork or exotic perishable goods. Expert at pickpocketing naive aristocrats. He's always on the move, so he'd be taking odd jobs. Doing one-off and infrequent jobs on merchant ships just happens to be a great way to slip under the radar. He never stays in one place for long to avoid authorities. He learned many languages and cultures from his travels.
Once Speedwagon is in his early 20s, he returns home. Ogre Street is bustling with immigrants. Speedwagon knew more languages and cultural customs than the average slum-dwelling Brit, so he naturally assumes a leadership role and nurtures a tight-knit gang. He bridges the gap between English and foreign cultures.
Victorian England was experiencing a trading boom with the Eastern world. Opiates were the craze with wealthy Victorians. Speedwagon allowed Wang Chan to sell his imported goods in Ogre Street since it brought a lot of big money from nobles.

Fairytales in BD: La Cuisine des Ogres
Have you ever wondered what a Ghibli movie made by Guillermo del Toro would look like? Wonder no further: this comic is for you!
"The Ogres' Kitchen" is a recently-started BD series. Like... very very recently. As in, the first volume, "Trois-fois-morte" (Three-times-dead) was published just a few months ago.
This BD takes place within a fictional version of "The Cat's Teeth", an actual mountain of France. A little girl, part of a gang of street urchins, gets kidnapped by a bogeyman one night, and brings them to the "secret side" of the Cat's Teeth - which turns out to be the realm of an entire community of ogres... She survives the monsters' appetites by undergoing three almost-lethal ordeal (hence her nickname of "Three-Times-Dead") and starts a new life among the lower-class of the mountain's fae-folks - the fauns, satyrs, elves and dwarves in charge of the cooking chores of the giants, witches and other bogeypeople straight out of French legends...

It all started with how he was born..Or rather created. A test tube baby, born inside one of the Mishima Zaibatsu's medical facilities, Yuki was just one of many children created for its failed, artificial devil gene empowered, super soldier program. Experimentation was all Yuki knew. With only two of the scientists ever showing him kindness. Doctor Emma Kliesen and Doctor Ameila Carey. Who gave him, at the time, an assigned female at birth child. a name, Eliza.
When Yuki was 8 years old, Ameila sacrificed her life to save Yuki. From there he was placed in an orphanage. But shady dealings behind the laye doctor's back resulted in him being adopted unusually quickly to an Irish couple. Who wanted to mould him into an obedient assassin. He lived with them until the age of fourteen. Were upon him coming out as transgender. He was thrown out onto the streets. At 15 a failed pickpocket attempt ended up with Yuki being fostered by Chaolan Lee. The violet labs owner seeing himself in Yuki. From that point on. Yuki was raised alongside Ai Jian, Lee's adoptive daughter. Once old enough, Yuki began studying at a University in Russia, both as a desire to learn and to hide him from both the Zaibatsu and the creature known as Ogre. It's here that he met Sergei Dragunov, before he was known as the white angel of death. The two have an on and off again relationship.
When 19 Yuki learnt of his biological father, Hayato Kiyori. Their reunion cut short when Hayato seemingly died to save Yuki and his half sister, Ayame from the Tekken Force after Ayame had refused to take part in a despicable order. With Ayame hiding in Italy. Yuki connected with her mother and Hayato's love. Safiya. More so when she saved his life after a betrayal and aided him through the drug and drink abuse that followed.
When the war hit. Yuki acted as first one of his father Chaolan's many spies, then a supply runner and sniper for Yggdrasil.
Now that the war has ended. Yuki lives with Sergei and the rest of his family. Enjoying the peace and taking the time to recover from traumas that he could finally talk about openly.

Dolce. B
My Ride or Die OC might just be a Reader-insert but I have others who are more fleshed out, here's one:
TW: Mentions of child prostitution.
Dolce Brando is the illegitimite daughter of Dio Brando and a prositute he frequented during the year 1888 who eventually gave birth to her and her twin brother, Dante Brando, some time in 1889. Unable to care for her babies, their mother gives them up to a Church orphanage and for a time, they grow up relatively happy. Until Dante falls sick with typhoid and the Church kicks them out to the streets in order to prevent him from infecting other children.
Desperate to save her brother, Dolce manages to find their mother barely conscious in an opium den who tells her about their rich father, Dio, a Hugh Hudson Law graduate who was adopted by the noble Joestar family. So Dolce sets out to track him down, determined to demand money and shelter from him only to find out that he mysteriously disappeared after graduating from university. Looking into the Joestars, she crosses paths with one Erina Pendelton, now known as Erina Joestar who is working as an English teacher at the school her son attends. Erina tells Dolce that Dio died on a ship while attempting to murder her husband and his brother, Jonathan Joestar. She never tells her about the Stone Mask that turned Dio into a vampire but makes sure to let Dolce know what a tyrranical and cruel man her father was and that he didn't leave any money or assets for her to inherit. Erina doesn't offer any help to Dolce and Dolce doesn't ask for any out of pride.
Frustrated from running into dead ends and with Dante growing weaker and weaker with each passing day, Dolce joins a brothel on Ogre Street at aged 14. The money she recieves from selling her virginity to the highest bidder, covered the costs of Dantes treatment and he miraculously survives.
Young, beautiful and intelligent, Dolce quickly climbs the ranks of the brothel and becomes a high end escort only afforded by the rich but she only grows to resent the world around her. At age 16, Dolce kills her souteneur and takes over the brothel to start an all-female crime syndicate who specialises in theft and shoplifting. When Dante finds out how Dolce has been paying for their expenses, he tries to stop her and when she refuses, he leaves. Angry at her for always keeping him sheltered and in the dark and feeling guilty for the sacrifices she had to make to ensure their survival, Dante sets out on his own journey to prove his worth as a man.
Dante's departure devastates Dolce and she goes into a spiral of sex, drugs and alcohol. She becomes more ruthless in her dealings with her own syndicate too, executing a member and her lover for wanting to quit the gang to get married and settle down. When her cruelty becomes too much to bear, a few members rally together to usurp her position as boss.
Dolce Brando died at age 18, killed in a shoot out with her own gang members. She never saw or heard from her brother again.
Design Notes & More
I messed up her face a little in this drawing but I had Cara Delevingne in mind when I was drawing her. She just has that deviousness to her face that I imagine Dio's daughter would have. Dolce's hair was also difficult to draw, she kept looking like a cross between Diego and Lucy Steel so her hair may change in future drawings, idk. Her namesake is obviously from the very famous brand, Dolce & Gabbana.
I also didn't specify this but the bit about prostitution is in reference to how young girls were exploited through dance and ballet in the 19th Century. Dolce is also exploited through a similar means that I might go into detail in a fic or something.
Unknowingly, Dolce takes after Dio a lot. The only person she ever loved was her brother and when he leaves her, she goes berserk and brings about her own downfall. Like Dio's canon children, save for Giorno, she is a very tragic character. If Dolce were to ever meet Dio, she would play nice at first before attempting to murder him. Even without knowing him, Dolce hated Dio because of how he failed to steal the Joestar fortune and ended up "dying". She is headstrong and ambitious so she would also try to achieve Heaven for herself but ultimately fail because of her fate.
But I wonder what would Dio think of Dolce? I think he would not like her but at the same time, have a soft spot for her. They definately share the same or similar opinions about fate and humanity.
Let me know what you guys think! 🙂

DR X JoJo character #11 Dice Street is a very cursed Town with many unfortunate souls having to deal with diseases & constant gang thuggery to the point where it seems endless. "Robichi Speedma" is one of those people who once led a small gang of his own committing thefts just to get by in such a horrendous place, of course it doesn't lead to murder despite the harsh living conditions. But thanks to a fated run in with Jonathonta, he has finally risen from being a nobody leader of tricksters to being a well known & trusted ally to the former despite being a mischievous liar at times. (This was a personal favorite role idea that I really wanted to do for a while now & it's finally complete! It's also only natural that the various members of Dice would be the residents of Ogre Street too. Someone else will have to be DIO & it sure ain't Kokichi.)

Baki next gen part 3
After getting back from the Tokyo dome, Kozue was quick to scold Yujiro, Calling him all manner of names, Only stopping short of slapping him, Even in his advancing age, Kozue knew that putting one's hands on yujiro hanma was a death sentance.
"What do you have to say for yourself! Yujiro."
"I already spelled it out to bake" Yujiro spoke with his usual blase arrogance. "I'm not going to do it again."
Kozue sighs, and sits down, Before going to address her daughter. "Tomoe.... "
The girl froze up, She had a certain degree of fear for her mother, Kozue was nothing but kind of course, But she was also stern, The kind of woman even her large, And clearly very strong dad seemed to fear the wrath of, One who hid stone with silk.
"I'm proud of you." This caused some visible surprise in not just her and her dad, But her grandfather as well.
"I still don't like the idea of you fighting, But i saw you on the screen, Dodging a kick boxing professional's punches and kicks, And then returning them even better than he threw them."
Tomoe was surprised ."Better?" She asked, As her mom nodded.
"I've watched your father from the sidelines ever since i was sixteen years old. i may not be a fighter myself, But i know technique when i see it." Kozue explained as baki chuckled.
"Awh babe! You're makin' me blush!" he said sheepishly, Joking around even despite his wife's serious tone.
"You said this is something you really want to do right?"
Tomoe nods. "Yeah, Of course. When i say something i mean it."
Baki smiled lazily as he leaned back. "What's got you changing your tune all of a sudden, Kozue?" He asked looking her way.
"I never said i changed my mind, I really don't want Tomoe fighting, Especially not the way you did when you were younger."
Tomoe was perplexed, They kept on going on and on about 'back then' and 'when you were younger' and 'in my day' None of it meant anything to her, And her father quickly caught onto it.
"Hey koz? I think that with all this talk about way back when, We oughta come clean yeah? Our girl looks like she's about ready to pop a gasget finding out what's going on."
Kopzue sighed, It... wasn't like they could hide this any further,
but before she could even open her mouth, Yujiro highjacked the conversation.
"The hanma family is a liniage of proud and powerful fighters, Dating back to the earliest days of japan. Antire nations have quicered before our family name!"
Baki would interrupt his father. "And now... we're middle class suburbanites. Dad there's no reason to get so deep into thing right away." Yujiro snarled at his boy.
"What was that ya damn brat? this is family history! Your kid deserves to know where she comes from!"
"You're just gonna confuse her more if you start from the beginning old man, Leave this to me, okay?" He turned to Tomoe, and got on her level, Bowing to a knee
"See, Tomoe, Your old man wasn't just 'some amateur who didn't make it big.' He was the one that made the ones that did go big feel small. I fought men stronger than anyone you've ever seen."
Tomoe looked...Doubtful, Her dad was a mild mannered salaryman, Sure he was pretty strong and athletic, but a fighter? There was no way.!
"I can see the doubt in your eyes... But it's true, I've beaten loads of people, Street gangs, Men with a strong enough grip to crush bone, Private military contractors, Escaped death row prisoners, And even a caveman! But the most dangerous man i ever fought." Baki pointed to Yujiro. "Was that guy right there, The ogre." Yujiro smirked , Happy to be known as his son's greatest opponent.
"But every one of those fights was dangerous, Life threatening." Kozuie continued from Baki's point. "Your father could have easily died if something went wrong... I hated seeing it all, But i loved your dad more than i hated it. I didn't want you risking your life for little more than pride and a bit of fight money... But " Her look of sadness and worry turned to one of knowing contentment. "I should have known better than that. You're a Hanma by blood, Afterall, you all are drawn to fighting like gravity draws people to the earth..."
Baki sighed. "It's not like that Koz, She just wants something she can be good at, Something she can call her own. She doesn't have the 'pure love' for fighting like dad and i have. For the time being at least i'm sure it'll just be a hobby."
Tomoe wasn't even paying attention to them, But seeing her dad so sincerely say things that were so completely ridiculous made her feel like there was a degree of validity to his words. The next thing that caught her attention as the world she saw and heard blur around her were these following words.
"Training strarts tomorrow."

I love your werewolf art. And JJBA art. Oh, a cool idea would be the Ogre Street Gang werewolf pack led by Speedwagon.
Hey thank You!
that sounds very good. Honestly, I don't actually remember much about the other characters but Speedwagon by himself has a lot of potential for a werewolf au too
Technically the same idea of his original character but adding a curse to spice his background more hehe

EEEE THAT DRAWING OF JONATHAN WITH A BUNCH OF MINI SPEEDWAGONS 😭 Imagine if like, he was hit by a stand that split him apart into multiple miniature copies and each mini-wagon exaggerates one aspect of his personality, so there's the dramatic one, the brave one, the scaredy one, the aggressive one, the loyal one, the affectionate one, and so on 😂
((in reference to this post))
I'm digging this so much OMG.
The dramatic one.... every single thing he does Has To Be Overly Dramatic and for some reason that would be very funny (to me, at least xd). He's also very loud.
The brave and fearless would be all over the top, too. Way too reckless, too. Definitely the "what are you gonna do? STAB ME???" kind of little guy. He's often climbing on top of things he shouldn't be climbed and so on. Similar to a cat, basically, lol
There's also the one that keeps stealing stuff and causing mischief. Always keep an eye on him!
Can't really say I see a "scaredy" Speeb, at least not in the sense part of the fandom mistakenly assumes, since the instances where we see og Speedwagon scared is when there are actual and massive threats (which is basically something everyone shows at some point, including human Dio when he faced the drunkard-turned-vampire, ie.). Add to that that Speedwagon is a regular human fighting actual supernatural and bloodthirsty creatures using only his wits and insane brute force, and that kinda shows that what some people consider a "scaredy" side is not precisely "scaredy" at all. In this sense, I think he'd have a "scaredy" side like pretty much every other JJBA character would but, even in this exaggerated form, it would be far from the "crybaby, soft, scared shitless boy uwu" the fandom sometimes wrongly pin on og Speebs, and would most likely only be triggered by supernatural threats, if that makes sense??
The aggressive one is probably more on the "Ogre Street" side, feral and basically a bit of a glimpse to what his enemies in Ogre Street saw when they faced him, or during one of those "not-so-voluntary interrogatories" that his gang may or may not subject their rivals/enemies to when they need a little information. I keep imagining this mini Speeb threatening others with anything and everything he can use as a weapon (though he himself has a tiny knife and other weapons on him at all times), and this probably includes Jonathan to an extent. I think Jona would find that amusing in a way, because it's like a small throwback to their first encounter in some way. Much less threatening this time too since, despite cheeb Speeb being aggressive, his aggressiveness never reaches dangerous levels towards Jonathan (plus, smol Speeb is...well, small lol), so smol Speeb probably just keeps biting Jojo every chance he gets. Sometimes hard enough to draw an "Ow!" from Jona every now and then, but never hard enough to draw blood or cause actual harm.
On the other hand, affectionate Speebs is always by Jonathan's side (or at least as much as he possibly can), nuzzling him, cuddling with him, offering encouraging words every time Jonathan needs them, playing with Jojo's hair, helping him around with anything and everything, bringing him small gifts and things he thinks Jojo might like, and just... basically letting Jonathan know how much he loves him all the time. Considering how deprived of affection Jonathan has been for the past 7 years in PB's timeline, I'd say he'd greatly appreciate all this.
The loyal one is similar overall to the affectionate, with the difference that he focuses more on throwing hands and defending Jonathan if he has to. So I guess it would be safe to think he'd be a bit of a mix between affectionate Speeb and his fearless side, as he doesn't mind putting his life on the line to ensure the safety and wellbeing of his Jojo. All with a pinch of Aggressive!Speeb whenever is needed, of course!
#that pic has been living in my mind rent free for years ngl#the smol speeb showing his tummy... or the one with the cane and the cast...#boss speeb with his little match....#SMALL SPEEB HUGGING AND NUZZLING JONATHAN AND CRYING HAPPY TEARS OMG#all of them are so insanely cute i just GRAAAAHH#jjba#speedwagon#speedguapo#jonathan joestar#jonawagon#speedjona#jonaspeed#speedstar

Strutting the Ogre Street
For @stellamortua
“Are you sure about this, Mr. Joestar?” The thug eyed his companion and the sling his arm was in. He’d considered asking Jojo to hide a shiv in it, but imagery of Dio’s treachery made him forego the idea. He had tried to figure out a way to hide the state of Jonathan’s injuries but the poor man was lucky enough to have one arm out of the sling. They couldn’t rush the other.
“My mates will be happy to see us, but there’s still a few who would take a shiv to us.” He reminded Jonathan again, trying to distract himself from his thoughts. Like Jonathan, he was still haunted by flashbacks, but he had more than ghosts of the past to worry about now. Especially with him unable to use his trademark weapon… He’d Liked that hat. He’d worked hard on assembling and balancing it just right…
Unable to argue with his puppy-eyed pal, Robert squared his jaw and shoulders. “Right. Watch your back now. Off we go…”
He hopped out of the carriage, eyed their surroundings, and turned to offer an arm to Jonathan. They’d have to make their way on foot, since the rookery where he lived did not have a direct road to it.
He stayed quiet as he led Jonathan through a maze of alleys, bridges, and even down through what used to be someone’s basement. He’d wondered if his statuesque friend could fit through there but Jonathan wanted the full Old Nichol Street Experience. There wasn’t a more genuine experience than going through someone’s yard, past their latrine, and through their fence. Luckily no one was around to pitch a fit or a bottle at them.
He paused and held his hand out to stop Jonathan. He held his finger to his lips, eyes glittering with warning. Even though anyone they’d face on this street would pale in comparison to the horrors they’d faced at the Joestar mansion, Robert still wished to spare his pal and himself a dustup right now.
The wind was against their backs, which did not assist Robert in his scanning. His friends knew they were coming and would have prepared the way for them, but this one patch of town was particularly rough. Robert had control over most of the gangs in town, but there was always an outlier or two who didn’t agree with how he ran things.
So far so good… But Robert wasn’t taking chances.
“Stay here.” He hissed a whisper.
With that, he pulled himself up a window onto the roof. He knew from experience this roof would hold him. He scanned the area again, and leapt to the next roof. He landed less gracefully than he’d planned but he managed not to cause too much commotion. He wasn’t keen on becoming a street pancake when he was so close to his goal.
Hmm… Where was that panhandler who always lurked on this corner… It had been over a month since Speedwagon left home, and anything could happen in that time, but he was suspicious of change until he knew the logic behind it.
Ah. There he is! Poor boozer had gotten himself another bottle. He should be distracted enough not to raise the alarm, but just in case…
Robert returned to the street and sauntered up to the panhandler, greeting him casually. Per usual, the sod gave him a toothless grin and a few hurried words of respect. Robert tossed him a coin, asked for the gossip on the street, and bid him farewell.
He soon spied the other fellow he was looking for. He approached. Insults were traded. Things grew hot under the collar. And then, just as Robert expected, the bloke backed off. Robert hid his smirk and bid him adieu, ignoring the rude gesture he received in reply.
He made his way back to Jonathan, whistling confidently to himself. There was no need to hide now. They could make their way home unmolested. That is… assuming Jonathan had actually waited like Robert told him to.
#Strutting The Ogre Street rp#❅ Will my heart thaw the frost#my shining star#distracting the distracted with more distractions yay!#these boys need a good vacation#post mansion destruction pre Hamon#and yes Speedwagon still has injuries too but you saw what he did with One Arm and Broken Ribs. He’s fine#His pals will roast him later

Ooh but what if that's how Speedwagon and Jonathan meet in the Mer! Jonathan/ Human! Speedwagon AU? Like maybe Speedwagon is a pirate captain and the ogre street gang are his crew and they're on a mission to capture a mermaid and they're trying to catch Jonathan (maybe because something about mermaids is valuable? or maybe humans just hate mers because Dio and his minions are human-killing evil mers and they think all mers are like that?)
But then during their hunt Speedwagon is thrown overboard, is saved by mer! Jonathan, realizes mermaids aren't all evil monsters, and now has to convince the rest of his crew to spare Jonathan when they're found by his men after the two have been living on a deserted island for a few weeks now...
aaaaaaaaaasdasldsfsfk omggg maybe they were trying to guard their sea territory from the likes of Dio and mistakenly started battling Jona thinking he was one of the same but just like u said!! He saves the overboard Speedwagon instead!!!

What flower or plant do you associate your muse with?
unprompted asks 【always accepting】
In a more "personality wise" kind of way? I’d say Sunflowers, for a variety of reasons.
Even though sunflowers can be dismissed by some people as some kind of “unassuming” flower sometimes, they can be pretty tough, and that alone is a parallel between them already, with how often the fandom discredits Speedwagon based on a bunch of silly ooc reasons and mid takes despite everything we see about him in canon and so on. But, delving a bit more into it -fair warning: this is going to be yet another long post, so I hope that's okay!-, sunflowers can survive in harsh conditions, and which is something Speedwagon has been dealing with all of his life himself as well (in his case being extreme poverty, constant violence, illness and al kinds of horrible shit going on around him, all paired up with the harsh environment and weather that is a constant in Ogre Street). This next one is a kinda odd/dark one but, since we mention climate: sunflowers can also survive extreme heat, and which coincidentally relates in a way to something that Robert went through and survived years after PB, being this that time in which he nearly died in the Texas desert, shortly after striking oil there.
Sunflowers can also adapt fairly well to changes and can survive periods of drought with minimal water. In Robert’s case, that can translate into the many changes he goes through over his lifetime, from being some orphan and homeless child no one gave a shit about, to making his own way up the chain and becoming a feared and respected gang-leader, to eventually bettering himself and adhering to a more ‘normal’ and honorable lifestyle, to becoming a 2nd father/father figure to George and Joseph, to striking oil and becoming an oil tycoon and a successful businessman (along with getting some formal education along the way as he’d never really received a full and formal education before), to becoming insanely rich and also one of the most influential men in the world and never letting any of that impact him negatively, to becoming the owner and CEO of his own Foundation and everything he did through it, plus allllll the adjusting that he had to go through with each step, as well as his many encounters with the supernatural and everything this entails for a regular human like him. Lots of changes, some bigger, some more remarkable, and some wilder than others. Tons of hardships and TONS of hardwork and effort on his end as basically none of this was handed to him freely and, judging by what we see of him in Part 2 and the balanced mesh we see between his “bettered self” with those bits of his old “rowdy (sometimes criminal) self” that have always been there, I would say he adapted quite well!
Not to mention that they also share some similarities in appearance color wise and how one could compare the sunflower’s yellow petals and black/brown disk flowers with Robert’s blond hair and (thick) dark eyebrows, but maybe that’s just my love for this guy speaking on this one lol.
There’s also the whole thing with sunflowers and the Sun, and how sunflowers “follow” the Sun and, like most other plants, are able to thrive with the aid and the gentle touch and light they receive from the Sun. And here one could see the parallels between this and the relationship and bond between Jonathan and Speedwagon. Sun and sunflower, respectively, though not exclusively as, despite fan claims, Speedwagon did influence Jonathan too and helped him grow as a person as well (it was implied in canon that the positive impact was deep and also mutual).
Now, flowers I associate with Robert based solely on his personal preference? Forget-me-nots would be the answer. It’s one of his favorite flowers due to their sometimes gentle, sometimes vibrant, colors, whether it is the blue ones or the purple/pink ones, or even the white ones (with his preferred of them all being the blue ones). The legends and reasons behind their different names in some places around the world only added to his liking for these flowers. For example (taken from Saint Google):
“The common name, Forget Me Not, comes from a German legend about a knight who died trying to get the flowers for his lover and called out with his last breath, “Forget me not!”” ((I don’t even have to mention that Robert's gayass is not only a bit of a romantic fool in canon but that side of his is also kept intact in my writing, so… yeah~~))
#[thank you so much for sending this in anon!!!! <3]#[I know I said this last time but I love this type of questions so much ;v;]#;stone masks#;answered#;speedwagon withdraws coolly#;headcanon#[adding to this: another hc i have and that i kinda have toyed around with in the past is that he knows some about the language of flowers]#[he's not very good at it to the point where he knows every single thing about it]#[so he normally uses a 'flower dictionary' whenever he's either 'reading' a bouquet or making his own]#;long post

1990: The Bronx Warriors (1982)
While I didn't enjoy this film, that doesn't mean you won't. No matter what I say, the people involved in this project did it: they actually made a movie. That's something to be applauded. With that established...
I watched 1990: The Bronx Warriors as part of my exploration of the “Road Warrior Post-Apocalyptic” genre. For the most part, the various imitators and derivatives have been aping the Mad Max franchise. This is the first time I’ve seen “inspiration” principally drawn from the other two establishing films of the genre: Escape from New York and The Warriors. The results are one of the most uninteresting and cheap attempts I’ve seen so far.
In (the then futuristic) year 1990, New York’s Bronx is dominated by crime and declared a No Man’s Land. The police have given up all attempts to bring order to the raving biker gangs who roam the streets. Ann (Stefania Girolami), the 17-year-old heiress to the nefarious Manhattan corporation runs to the lawless wasteland to hide from the responsibilities she will soon inherit. There, she befriends The Riders and their leader, Trash (Marco Di Gregorio). To get the woman back to the boardroom where she belongs, the Manhattan Corporation hires a mercenary named Hammer (Vic Morrow) to do anything it takes.
It begins as a thinly veiled rip-off of John Carpenter’s memorable action film and then turns into a cheaper, lazier, and endlessly duller version of Walter Hill’s cult-classic. You go in assuming this will be a cheap film; the other Post-Apocalyptic adventures didn’t exactly have big budgets. Even so, this is inexcusable. This film is too low-grade to deliver even the mildest form of vehicular carnage, which is a shame because the Warriors’ – I mean the Riders’ – motorcycles look so flimsy you know they’d fly in a million pieces if they hit even a medium-sized pothole. I’m not joking when I say it looks like they bought a bunch of Halloween decorations – on November 1st when they’re heavily discounted- and then glue-gunned them onto the steering wheel of their motorcycles.
The performances are horrible and the actors are made to look even worse by the ADR. Everyone’s all mush-mouthed, and with the home release’s lack of subtitles, you’ll struggle to understand what anyone is saying. Had this plot had any kind of substance or complexity to it, you’d be completely lost. Nonetheless, you keep watching, hoping there will be some cool stunts or hand-to-hand combat scenes to make this effort worth your time. Your hope is in vain.
The only way to draw enjoyment from 1990: The Bronx Warriors is by making fun of it. Even so, it doesn’t have much to offer. It’s agonizingly dull and so obviously devoid of any kind of passion, enthusiasm or effort. The one thing that might bring a smile to your face are some of the characters’ names and the art direction. If it seems as though I’m grasping at straws, I am but how could you not laugh at characters named Hotdog (Christopher Connelly), Witch (Elisabetta Dessy), The Ogre (Fred Williamson), Ice (John Loffredo) and… Paul (Rocco Lero)? Some of the random gangs receive given quirks that make them mildly diverting, such as a group of mimes who perform a coordinated dance, but those add nothing to the story. It’s a flat picture, obviously shot in a run-down neighbourhood. It drains the life out of you.
I suffered through 1990: The Bronx Warriors so you wouldn’t have to. There’s no reason to see this, even if you enjoy the stories it’s shamelessly burglarizing. I didn’t think it could get any worse than Exterminators from the Year 3000, but here we are. To survive these films, I’m going to have to set the bar way lower than expected. This Italian production has not one, but two sequels and I can’t imagine either being any better than this. (On DVD, August 4, 2018)

The Party So Far: Imperial Gangland Edition
The party make up the newest gang in town The Golden Grin Cartel:
Aurora Sky, the street tough orphan who's bloodline was blessed by a celestial. As she's quickly approaching 20 she's decided to join a gang in an attempt to claw her way to a better life, or punch her way if possible
Barbog Von Adalhard, the adopted scion of a once wealthy family. His strengths include access to the aristocracy, holy powers granted by the Goddess of War, a peculiar penchant for stealth, and a mostly loving family. Oh also he's a nearly 8ft tall half-ogre
Clayton U. Harden, half-elf gunslinger and former mercenary dragoon. He's your average cowboy: Wide brimmed hat, revolvers, duster, a strange infernal brand on his chest, a mysterious father who disappeared, a psychic brother, and his middle initial looks like a horseshoe. Also he doesn't have a middle name, just the letter U
G.A.B.S. (Gnomish Artifice Built To Scrap), is what happens when a gnome decides to build a multitool with an opinion. Unfortunately tragedy struck when his creator died in a fire. Tragedy struck again when G.A.B.S was blamed for it and imprisoned. Then it struck again, and again, and again. Fortunately it's not like anything else bad could happen, right?
Gyuurg Van Dombocska, the orcish deserter veteran. Adept at swordplay as well as some talent for magic he served bravely in the Imperial Military right up until he was presumed dead and abandoned on a battlefield and promptly saved by the enemy. Who then convinced him of the abnormality of serving an emperor he'd never met. He's since traveled to the nearest Free City and joined a street gang. As one does
Khellendros Drayken, the newest and most human member of their band. Khell as he's referred is a confidence man in The City On The River. Aware of it's complex workings, peculiar factions, and strange history he serves as a sort of reliquary for criminal knowledge. Also of note he wields fiendish powers contractually provided by a "man" who grants favors, all you have to do is ask
