rough designs/sketches for douglass "dl" walker, who i love so dearly, in her court attire. i got everything completely scrambled dates-wise and accidentally started with a baby version of her in the 1920s lmao.
i considered going for a knit vest, or a solid one without lapels, but this felt fiercer and more explicitly work formal to me (maybe because i don't have a lot of context for 1940s fashions).
i think the sharp edges throughout her design contrasted with her more round face and large round eyes hint at the fact that she will deliberately manipulate your assumptions about her to chew you up and spit you out.

One of my favourite things in s4 of Old Gods of Appalachia is how Doc Underwood is above all a Wife Guy. Like, when he cuts ties with Jack and he goes "if you ever come to me again, I will not bother holding her back anymore" because he knows that Marigold "Goldie" Underwood would abso-fucking-lutely wipe out the man that calls himself J. T. Fields off the face of the goddamned Earth. And the beat thing? Jack kinda knows it too. :)

Old Gods of Appalachia episode 53: the ultimate family reunion
How on this green earth did they manage to get all of these people, or creatures, into a single room? I have so many questions.
Really excited for a D.L. Walker/My Cousin Vinny scene

I know in the wolf sisters it's said the two murdered woman stepped out one after the other but I always imagined them holding hands as they found their peace, after all they're the only other person who knew exactly what the other went through

Old Gods of Appalachia season 3 last 4 episode wrap up.
I have been forgetting to update with my thoughts so I figured now that this part and the season is over I'll do one big one.
Jonah Hellbender is such a bad ass name hands down. This rag tag group of three teens was so fun to listen to encounter the new world they had been hidden in for a while now.
Rachel Harllow and Sketer were both very interesting characters to explore as well. Between developing their powers, to just their individual personalities plus their backstories.
I'm not going to lie. I forgot about the baby plot at the very beginning of the season, but this was such a great tie in.
Jack's back! (He's one of my favorite characters)
Jonah's power is so freaking cool!?!?! What???
The Barrows getting put in their place is always funny to me? They act so big and yet have they really accomplished anything?
Weird squirle bird people wasn't what I was expecting but sure why not.
Sure, Jonah is part of the Lock family. But does this put a strain between the B and the L?? Also I feel bad for Jack. He honestly seemed keen on helping these kids.
Of course it's Horned Head. It's always Horned Head. He's gunna mess up a perfectly good boy. Also a strain within the Lock family. Between Jonahs Father and Uncle. (I haven't remembered Jonahs real name I will re listen again though)
Lastly. Who were those dudes??? The Amish?? And they know Jack!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa I can't wait for next season.
Also, Panthers on the Mountain side made me cry, why is it such a good song?????
