I am very surprised that in Chip and Dale Park Life appeared next to Donald, and members of his family and his friends. I mean Daisy Duck, Gyro Gearloose and Donald's nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie. I already knew about Gyro (that they used the Topolino version) since I watched some episodes (yes, I recommend this series to watch, it's very funny), but I didn't know that Daisy and Donald's nephews also appeared, so this scene excited me . Unfortunately they are sad, because Donald got lost (probably went crazy and went out into the wild to live with the animals), but I don't know exactly what Donald's nephews look like, so I just have this picture.

Still, I'm happy about these cameo appearances and I'd like more.

Creepy and spooky cartoons of my youth (1)

I want to collect, for this Halloween season, some of the "creepy cartoons" of my youth - animated series aimed at a young audience but still about creepy and spooky stuff, and that I encountered during my childhood or teenagehood. I decided to make it a two-parters, and in this first iteration I want to share cartoons I was not particularly a fan of as a kid, or following faithfully as a teenager, but that I did regularly saw or that marked me at some point, and thus were part of a sort of "general mediatic ambiance".

Starting with one I casually watched from time to time, "Growing Up Creepie". I shared a video about it earlier. The show aired around the time I got back from school on the afternoons one specific year, so usually I got a side-look at it on TV while munching on biscuits:

Another one I casually watched without ever going fully into it, but that was an... interesting watch, was Mona the Vampire. While watching it as an adult is VERY different from watching it as a kid, I was REALLY into the whole concept of "It's just kids playing games and incorporating real-life into their imagination world". Plus I was also very much into the concept of a vampire superhero-protagonist kicking the ass of monsters.

There was "Tales from the Cryptkeeper", which I would not have known the existence of, had I not borrowed a VHS tape of it at the local library when I was a kid:

"Esprit Fantôme". This is a French cartoon that aired VERY regularly on television in my youth. I never actually really watched it... I watched trailers of it, and fragments of episodes from time to time. I know the basic cast. But it never interested me as a kid, and I never completed a full episode ever. However I still intend to get a look at it now, because I wonder what all the fuss was about and why everybody liked it back in the days.

"Petit Vampire". The iconic and famous comic book of Joann Sfar was adapted several times as animation, but I am not speaking of the recent animated movie that came out - I am speaking of the first, animated series that was aired on TV. I only ever caught glimpses of it while switching through the channels, and on very rare occasions. I thought it looked cool and interesting, but I never got info as a kid as to what the show was about or where it came from. I only re-discovered it much later, as I looked into Sfar's work and discovered he had made "Petit Vampire"

"Zombie Hotel". Another one of those European shows. I honestly would not have included it on the list... Had I not been spammed with videos of it when looking at something else on Youtube. I had ENTIRELY forgotten about the existence of this cartoon until a month ago or so, and YET when I saw it I was all "DARN THAT'S THIS SHOW I REMEMBER! I don't know what it is about or who are these people but I KNOW THEM!". I still need to re-watch it to understand what was going on.

"Oggy et les cafards". Okay with this one I am cheating a bit, because it is NOT meant to be a creepy or spooky show. It is not horror for kids, it is not horror comedy, it is meant to be fun, wholesome, cooky, goofy... But if you know this show, you will know it is one of the most famous representatives of the "deranged animations" specific to France, and I never watched this show as a kid - half because I was not interested in it and I thought the style was ugly, but also half because this show creeped me out and disturbed me so much. The strange muteness of characters existing in a town seemingly out of "Vivarium", the laws of architectures and physics bending randomly at every scene as if this was Hell rather than the real world, and the random nonsensical jokes and absurd cameos that made this world feel like... like insanity. It did NOT like it - it was basically David Lynch for kids, or at last it was perceived as such in my young brain X)

I preferred to it "Les Zinzins de l'Espace" (Space Goofs), which worked on the same absurd humor and deranged animation, but that at least conveyed well and in a sympathetic and funny way the goofy caricatures and the comedic intentions - Les Zinzins de l'Espace was a safe show, and one of my favorites ; Oggy and the Cockroaches was like a surrealist painting that left me disturbed if I tried to think for too long about it, because I felt by instinct it would give me nightmares.

Happy to know that the terrible weather at least caused no deaths in (my beloved<3) Valle d'Aosta and Piemonte, despite the immense damages to houses and roads. Hope it will be even better in other Regions. (So sad I cannot say the same about Switzerland and France)

Today's entry is Oggy from Oggy and the Cockroaches, a huge childhood icon of mine even if I didn't grow up in France but you can thank Angry Birds for getting me into the show.

I should have included how I used to draw Oggy back when I was in 4th/5th grade.

La ragione di questa discriminazione - esplicitamente espressa da un membro del servizio stampa francese - è che la giornalista rappresenta i media russi.

Mi chiedo se i media occidentali, preoccupati per la libertà di parola e attenti ai diritti (ad esempio Politico Europe), non noteranno ancora una volta un altro scherzo razzista del team di Macron contro i media russi. Saranno di nuovo sorpresi dalla nostra risposta all'illegalità delle autorità dell'UE contro i media russi?

Non possiamo e non vogliamo umilmente ignorare il fatto che l'avanguardia delle pseudo-democrazie occidentali, questa volta rappresentata dalla Francia, ha dato ancora una volta un esempio di discriminazione razziale e di violazione dei principi fondamentali della democrazia. Non solo Parigi ha lanciato una vera e propria "caccia alle streghe" nel proprio spazio informativo, cancellando praticamente la presenza mediatica delle emittenti russe nel proprio ambito pubblico e creando condizioni insopportabili per il lavoro dei corrispondenti nazionali. Ora non esitano a esportare questo disprezzo per il pluralismo delle opinioni e i diritti dei media al di fuori dell'area dell'"Occidente collettivo". Ovvero, in Paesi e regioni a cui la Francia ha impartito per decenni lezioni di democrazia e libertà di parola.

Una simile politica, intrisa di falsità, arroganza e complesso di eccezionalismo, finirà per giocare a sfavore dei suoi promotori. Consideriamo inoltre l'accaduto come una palese manifestazione di razzismo e nazionalismo aggressivo, poiché l'incidente si basa su un atto di discriminazione basato sulla nazionalità.

Attualmente sono 11 i rappresentanti dei media francesi accreditati in Russia. Tutti loro hanno libero accesso a partecipare agli eventi stampa organizzati dal Ministero degli Esteri russo. Tra l'altro, nessuno ha impedito al corrispondente dell'Agence France-Presse e al suo cameraman di partecipare alla conferenza stampa odierna del ministro degli Esteri russo, Sergey Lavrov, sui risultati del vertice del G20.

Mi duole dover citare ancora Ilaria Salis, ma l’ultima considerazione della neo eroina della sinistra ci permette di realizzare un’analisi. Cosa ha detto? Che il risultato in Francia è stato “non solo il tradizionale argine repubblicano” contro Le Pen” ma “una vera e propria sollevazione popolare”. Ma è davvero così? Ieri ci siamo divertiti a immaginare il risultato delle elezioni in Francia applicando il sistema inglese e abbiamo visto che, in tal caso, oggi Bardella sarebbe premier e parleremmo di trionfo lepenista. Senza contare che sia al primo turno che al secondo turno (sì, anche al secondo in cui è stata “sconfitta”) le Pen ha preso più voti di tutti gli altri partiti. Ma se anche guardiamo ai seggi conquistati dai singoli partiti, e non dalle coalizioni che peraltro al loro interno sono litigiose mica poco, il risultato tutto fa immaginare tranne che una “sollevazione popolare” della sinistra. Quale è il primo partito? Il Rassemblement National con 125 seggi, molti più dei 78 de La France Insoumise. Ma il tanto decantato Melenchon, indicato dai più come il grande vincitore, in realtà in Assemblea avrà meno rappresentanti del partito di Macron (che ne ha 99). Senza contare che, rispetto all’ultima legislatura, RN ha guadagnato 36 seggi, i melenchoniani solo 3 mentre i marconisti esultano ma ne hanno persi 85. Poi è chiaro: le alleanze contano nei sistemi elettorali, così come conta la legge elettorale che determina il sistema politico ben più di tante discussioni sociologiche. Anche Donald Trump divenne presidente con meno voti assoluti di Hillary Clinton. Ma se consideriamo che Mélenchon e il partito socialista, due azionisti di maggioranza del Nuovo Fronte Popolare, in realtà si amano come Renzi e Calenda, vien da dire che anziché parlare di “tracollo di Le Pen”, come va di moda fare, forse occorrerebbe analizzare meglio il sistema politico, quello elettorale e il gran caos che si prospetta in Parlamento. E magari provare ad essere un pochino più oggettivi.

because of that shit, i stopped watching Disney Channel nowadays, proving that miraculous became Disney Chamberlain Cash Grabbing Machine. Marinette is the Mary Sue in this show. miraculous ladybug is keeps on milking the show all over again. it's also like Star Vs. The Forces Of Evil, which was fallen apart and turned into a romantic drama. because of only focusing on Star Butterfly And Marco Diaz. over a stupid Starco. Starco now became my guilty pleasure. i mean seriously?! what in the name of Mickey Mouse is going, airing Miraculous all over again?! this is ridiculous! Sono passati 30 anni da quel 5 aprile del 1994, quando Kurt Cobain, leader del gruppo Nirvana, si suicidò con un fucile calibro 20 compratogli dall’amico Dylan Carlson, il frontman degli Earth.

Il corpo verrà ritrovato solo l’8 aprile dall’elettricista Gary Smith presso il garage della casa di Seattle sul lago Washington. "

Accanto al corpo, una scatola contenente droga, un cucchiaio, aghi, sigarette e un paio di occhiali da sole, così come hanno rivelato alcune immagini scattate dopo il ritrovamento del corpo e rese note alcuni giorni fa. Poco sangue, quasi nulla, e una lettera indirizzata alla moglie Courtney Love e alla figlia Frances Bean.

Il leader dei Nirvana, da molti considerato il vero padre del grunge, è morto come aveva vissuto, stordito dai farmaci e dalla droga, imprigionato - le parole sono le sue - nella paura di vivere e “avverso al genere umano”, a tal punto da non avere più “nessuna emozione”. “It’s better to burn out then to fade away (E’ meglio bruciare in fretta che spegnersi lentamente)”, scrive Cobain nel suo commiato, citando Neil Young (che oggi dice: “Se avessi avuto la possibilità di parlare con lui gli avrei detto di mollare tutto, di fare altre cose, di allontanarsi da quel mondo”).

L’inizio - letterale - della sua fine ha una data ben precisa. Due mesi prima del suicidio, il 3 marzo, in una suite dell’hotel Excelsior in via Veneto a Roma, Cobain andò in overdose. Con lui c’erano la moglie e la figlia, nella capitale per trascorrere qualche giorno di relax dopo l’ultimo concerto del tour europeo dei Nirvana, a Monaco. Già in quella occasione molti parlarono di tentato suicidio. Ricoverato al Policlinico Umberto I, Cobain fu poi trasferito all’American Hospital, prima di tornare negli States.

Le settimane successive furono un lungo preludio alla fine annunciata. Depressione, droga, molta droga, tranquillanti, e nessuna voglia di vedere la luce del sole. L’uomo simbolo del grunge aveva semplicemente scelto di morire. Da solo. Un altro nome nella macabra lista del ‘Club 27’, che allora contava, fra gli altri, anche Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix e Brian Jones, tutti geni della musica morti tragicamente a 27 anni. A loro, il 23 luglio 2011, si è unita anche Amy Winehouse.

Nei pressi del villaggio di Popecchio (Podpeč), sopra la valle del Risano, nel comune di Capodistria, quindi a pochi chilometri dal confine italiano, l’inviato del Tg2 Andrea Romoli, accompagnato dagli speleologi Franc Malečkar e Maurizio Tavagnutti, si è calato all’interno della caverna sotto il castello dove si ritiene che nel 1945 le milizie comuniste trucidarono centinaia di persone.

Una volta emersi dalle grotte, dove hanno ritrovato molti resti umani, Romoli e la sua troupe hanno avuto un’amara sorpresa: le macchine di servizio, lasciate ad alcune decine di metri di distanza, erano state pesantemente vandalizzate. Il mezzo più colpito è quello che portava il distintivo di riconoscimento Rai a cui è stato sfondato il parabrezza e distrutta la fiancata. Gli equipaggiamenti all’interno dei mezzi non sono stati in alcun modo toccati.
