Commitment is the meeting point between your targets in life now and the future, it is the motivation that drive your focus and constantly keep you in touch with your goals and targets in life. People react differently to same stimuli, but what makes the difference is how it improve your focus to keep your dream alive. It starts with making plans, setting new goals, improving on already existing goals and outlining the likely challenges you will encounter in the course of improving your life. It provides a clear path of your journey and best approach towards increasing your focus on the things that matter most in your life, it is first thing first, misplaced priorities can keep you away from your main targets there by running behind.
To improve on your focus you have to be optimistic, even in the most difficult situations believe that with right attitude, it is matter of time before things fall in place. Especially young adults who are not patient enough to wait for the outcome, you need to understand that it is a process, it doesn’t change overnight, it is long days of hard work that birthed the results. It is difficult to maintain motivation and focus, when things are not fast going the way you might want it to go, notwithstanding, your fixation should be the end product of your goals, dreams and hard work, when your mind is channelled to the outcome, it will start to make sense rather than feeling downbeat about the process.
You need to get over yourself, it is not really only about you, when you’re pursing sustainable legacy that will be passed down to the younger generation, don’t be afraid to take on the new challenge. People worry about their self preservation as opposed to fulfilling their purpose in life, you don’t live for people, you’re constantly worry about your ego and being afraid to fail, when the dust settles you will realise that you’re the only one that is going to save yourself. You need to start making that hard decisions, it is going to be difficult, but is there anything worth doing that has been easy? You have to embrace the pressure, it is really a good thing to be under pressure, it means you’re stepping out of your comfort zone.
To keep tap with your focus, you have to take notice of every challenge conquered, embrace the outcome and prepare yourself for the forthcoming challenges, you can become more appreciative of yourself when you make list of your goals and work towards it, you become self-aware of the whole situation. It is process of improving yourself financially, physically and mentally, all these type of improvements coexist, you need to get them right to function at the maximum level, that’s how you take ownership of your life and detect what goes on in your life, it is good for your focus, it gives your mind something to work consistently.

Malmouche segna il gol della vittoria
Tumblr media

Not our fault kidnappers are not tracked despite Comm Satellite, SIM, NIN — NCC
Tumblr media
- One person owning 3,000 lines, another 1,000 Many times, people have wondered how the kidnappers and other bandits who are causing untold mayhem in the country, manage to get away, even after they are captured on videos, recorded on other devices and most of all when they make contact with their victims’ families. Senate President of the Nigerian Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Henry Okunomo has expressed deep worry that in this age of tech advancement and the height Nigeria has attained in technological development, kidnappers could make contact with a victim’s families without being rounded up by security agents the next minute. A worried Okunomo who appeared on television recently to discuss the issue of his abducted colleagues, appeared frustrated and clearly expressed dissatisfaction with the way security agencies are handling the matter. He said: “I am not satisfied with the way security agencies are going about the matter. The government cannot tell me there is no other way this kidnapping thing can be nipped in the bud. After all, there are several measures already in place, why are they not working?” The measures Okunomo was referring to, included the SIM card registration which the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC carried out in 2011; the Nigerian Identity Number, NIN enrolment, which the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC began in 2015; the NIN-SIM Registration exercise which the Federal government carried out in 2020, involving the NCC, NIMC and the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN; and even the NigComSat-1R Communications satellite which the country shot into the orbit since 2012. These measures, according to the government, were mainly to improve National Security by strengthening the capacity of Law Enforcement Agencies to tackle criminal use of mobile phones by checkmating activities of criminals. They were also to help simplify verification process and thus enable more secure transactions and interactions using mobile devices boosting confidence and participation in the digital economy; and also to improve governance and service delivery by providing accurate data for policymaking, facilitate secure access to E-government services online, as well as aiding in the implementation of social programs However, despite all these measures, bandits, and kidnappers operate recklessly. Victims’ accounts at different times suggest that either the measures are not effective or someone in a position of taking action is complicit in the crimes. In Zamfara State, a kidnap victim, Mallam Yushau Jangeme, was reported to have said security agents in his village, Jangeme, did nothing to trace the telephone calls of the bandits who kidnapped him. According to the publication, Jangeme said, at the time bandits kidnapped seven people in his village and he was contacted to bring ransom before they could be freed. According to him, when he got to the forest to give kidnappers N1.4m out of N3m demanded, they detained him, saying he must bring the remaining N1.6m. All these happened irrespective of him having made available the phone numbers of his kidnappers to security agents before heading into the bush. Everywhere, the story is the same. A public affairs commentator, Mr Chike Ogbu, who also expressed dissatisfaction with the way security agents are handling the case of the abducted medical students, said he could not understand the sense of SIM registration or its link with NIN when people could make ransom calls and not getting arrested with all the data that were supposed to accrue from the registrations. He said: “We have had all manner of SIM activity registrations in this country. We have had Identity registrations and we have a communications satellite. Which one of them is not functioning or which agency of government is not releasing sensitive information necessary for picking these renegades? What is actually the problem, or are our security agents complicit?” he queried. One of the reasons the NCC took a hard stance on the deadline for NIN-SIM linkage was to fulfil its objective to clean the country’s SIM ownership database and ensure that criminals could not take advantage of having multiple unlinked SIMs to carry out their nefarious activities. Yet, the situation appeared not to have abated. But the Commission insists the fault is not from its end. A top official at the Commission who craved anonymity told Saturday Vanguard: “Yes, we were adamant on the deadline of the NIN-SIM linkage because of several dangerous security trends we discovered. Our resolve hinged on the need to close in on the chaos of untoward ownership of multiple SIM cards with unverified NIN details. We had instances where a single individual had over 10,000 lines linked to his NIN. In some cases, we have seen a single person with 1,000 lines, some 3,000 plus lines. What were they doing with these lines? “From our interim findings, the owners of these lines did not purchase them for decent purposes or to undertake legitimate activities. We gave them enough time to make the decision of which of their lines they wanted to keep and discard the others. They did not. All lines in this category with unverified NINs were barred. “On the issue of kidnappers making calls to victims’ families without being traced, I don’t think that power is residual in our hands. What we know is that whatever support the security agents have sought from us, as far as the national security question is concerned, we have always given to the best of our ability. Our duty is not to track and arrest people who make calls rightly or wrongly the source added. Also, a reliable satellite Engineer at the Nigerian Communications Satellite Company, NIGCOMSAT LTD, who didn’t want his name mentioned, told Saturday Vanguard that the onus of taking action on whatever the communications satellite reveals, in terms of crimes, is squarely at the doorsteps of the security agencies, adding that, the door of the company has always been open to them for valuable information that aid their operations He said: “One of the misconceptions about our satellite is people believing that it will snap photos or record videos of crime scenes and send them to security agents, but that is not how it works. “Although NigComSat -1R is a communications satellite, it is not equipped with cameras. It gathers data and digital footprints which on demand, we usually make available to security agencies that can also read and interpret them effectively. So people should not think that because crimes are happening unabated, the satellite is not working or performing its duties” he added. Read the full article

Children need stability of atmosphere to navigate through their upbringing progressively, unstable home attack children’s development and their ability to learn effectively. Couples should create an easy route for the children, especially when they are going tough moment in their marriage, avoid face off with their parents in front of them, to the extent that they began to ask what is going on. Divorce might be a love lost, but the products of the marriage, which are the children deserve to live like other children in a stable home, they don’t need to overly saturated with the process, due to the extent that one of the parties used them as a shield to protect certain interests.
Children are very sensitive, they pay attention whenever there is change of attitude from either of their parents. It is frustrating for them, they won’t be enjoying joint benefits due to them as a result of unstable home, their parents have fallen apart and their wellbeing have been affected too, almost in all cases they visibly show frustration. A kid that once drop off to school now follow school bus to go home, lively and chatty kid that has list of what happened in the school he will share with the parents, has become mute, due to unstable home which has affected his development, they struggled to adapt to the new format, perform badly in school, bullied by other children and completely isolated due to self-esteem which has been bruised by the circumstances.
Parents should strive to maintain stable atmosphere at home and learn to solve their problems without dragging children into it. Children’s lives are very delicate, at any point during their developmental stage in life, unstable home will bring poor upbringing that touched moral, ethics and cultured behaviour needed to navigate to the next stage of their lives. Parents should also learn to separate workplace situation from family, because the two hardly coexistence but they can be co-managed to achieve a desired balance needed to flourish. It is a continuous process to get to that level, this is because children are important not just for the family, but great asset to the society, when the energy is channelled in the right direction.
In every family situation children’s welfare should be prioritized to enable them to continue to live and develop, children in unstable home in most cases turned out to be the victim of the circumstances, this is because the everyday guidance needed for children’s development was found wanting, they do what they want, live in company of friends and see life through that moment. Before they could realize the situation it has eaten deep and almost late to change the situation. Children are not only the products of families, their interactions with wider society need to be guided and cultured to align with acceptable conducts and ethics to live in community of others.

Lawyer urges EFCC to probe Buhari’s cabinet members
Tumblr media
Human rights lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, has urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to probe all cabinet members and appointees who served during the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. Buhari, the immediate past president, served a two-term of eight years from 2015 to 2023. In a statement on Friday, Olajengbesi, who is the Managing Partner of Abuja-based law firm, Law Corridor, said the probe had become imperative with the startling revelations arising from the trial of ex-Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele. According to him, there is a need for the EFCC to audit the financial transactions of all officials of government who served under former President Muhammadu Buhari. He also commended the EFCC for exposing the alleged forgery of Buhari’s signature and that of ex-Secretary General of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, by the embattled former apex bank boss, who is enmeshed in a $6.2m fraud for foreign observers in the last poll. Olajengbesi said, “The audacity of those in power and their criminal influence is becoming too much and must be stopped. “The EFCC must not stop at just the former CBN Governor Godwin, Emefiele, but should carry out an entire audit of principal actors who served under the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari. There should be a deterrent for bad behavior. “Again, the case of the suspended Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Rural Electrification Agency, Ahmad Salihijo over alleged N1.2bn fraud is fresh, and a pointer to the gross abuse of power by those who served under Buhari. “Emefiele and all those who served under the Buhari adminis8⅞ÿÿtration should be properly audited and given a chance to clear their names as the corruption that manifested under that government is gargantuan.” Already, three witnesses have testified against Emefiele with the latest being an EFCC official and a forensic document examiner, Bamaiyi Haruna, who told the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama on Thursday that his analysis of some documents used to release $6.2m from the CBN in February 2023 showed that the documents were forged. The other witness was ex-SGF Mustapha, who also told the court that neither he nor ex-President Buhari were aware of the $6.2m, adding that Buhari’s signature was forged to move the money out. The third witness was a deputy director at the apex bank, Onyeka Ogbu. The EFCC, on June 18, 2023, arraigned Emefiele on amended 20 counts, in which he was accused of impersonating Mustapha to illegally move $6.2m from the CBN vault. In the charges, the EFCC alleged that on February 8, 2023, Emefiele connived with one Odoh Ocheme, who is now on the run, to obtain $6.2m from the CBN, claiming that it was requested by the SGF “vide a letter dated 26th January 2023 with Ref No. SGF.43/L.01/”.
