Okay but the camper in the wheelchair either has a super tricked out celestial-bronze plated magical flying wheelchair with wings gifted by Hermes himself, or Chiron just gave zero shits about how inaccessible the outside world is because there is no way she’d survive a cross-country road trip while being chased by monsters in a normal wheelchair. If they offered me up for a quest like that, I would have wheelied my ass tf out of there. She chose a long-range weapon for a REASON

If the wheelchair IS tricked out, however, then I require a scene where her magical chariot-wheelchair hybrid flies her up above the big battle as she takes out monsters with flaming arrows, or the show is ableist. I don’t make the rules—

I think the "No one knows how to properly introduce themselves to new animals" thing drives me so nuts because I learned it at SUCH a young age and it's such a simple skill and it's literally never once failed me. You can't just go straight for the head pats or grabbing their face in your hands or demanding a trick. You don't want me running up to you and forcefully taking your hand for a handshake or touching your hair before we've even acknowledged each other. Dogs and cats would usually like an introduction and a show of manners, too

your nervous system is overwhelmed and needs help making sense of this! please take 5 minutes to help it re-orient! you can:

hum, sing, scream, or use your voice in some way to stimulate your vagus nerve

yawn, sigh

exhale more than you inhale (deep breaths are good when you're calm. but if you're not calm, you may hyperventilate). blow on your fingers like you're blowing out candles.

give yourself compassion through soothing touch (hand on heart, hand on hand, bear hug, etc)

lean on a wall or lie on the floor. push against a hard surface.

shake, kick, flail, feel your body in physical space

experience a different temperature (cold if you're sluggish and foggy, warm if your muscles are tense)

induce pressure (sit on your feet, give a tight hug, layer clothing)

you've been thrown into fight or flight literally overnight. it's next to impossible to make good decisions- tactical decisions, even - if your body is stuck in this state; the part of you that plans, assesses risk, etc, is offline and we need it online. we're all going to need each other right now, so do what you can to ride out this wave, help someone else out, do it again. rinse, repeat.
