#poorly drawn mdzs #mdzs #jin guangyao #wei wuxian #jiang cheng #I absolutely love the contrast between JGY and JGS in this scene.#While JGS is acting as an instagator and trying to fan the flames of discontent (pulling his devious (g) strings)#JGY tries to keep a fairly neutral stance. If anything he reads like someone who's attempting to chair an unruly group project.#Honestly I think this scene does so much to show us why JGY manages to become the respectable leader he does in the future.#He's actully good at leading discussions and doesn't rise to bait. He's trying to start a productive discussion with *real facts*.#There is genuine honour in his approach and he never jumps into the emotional bandwagon.#The issue at the moment is that he doesn't have same level of authority as the contrastively *worst* sect leader does.#Jin Guangshan has a very specific agenda - to gain power by throwing anyone he deems expendable into the gutter.#The story even explicitly calls him out on not being so different from Wen Rohan multiple times.#The insidious part is that he's surrounded by people who think this is all justified.#It's all about using the 'victim' narrative to leverage justification. Which I'll get into more in upcoming comics.#(cut off text in panel one is supposed to be 'dead girls walking' but I ran out of room to make that clear. whoops!)

thinking about arthur who has crazy quick reflexes and is a relatively light sleeper who woke up to the sound of someone in his room and saw merlin crouched down messing with his keys before softly asking “whatre you doing?…before breakfast?”

#like in that scene in s2 when merlin was calling out arthurs name from under his bed #and he jumped up (thinking merlin was long gone) grabbed his sword and postured for a fight #or that one in idk which season when merlin was sneaking in his room and he woke up and grabbed his sword when merlin bumped a chair #and then merlin brought the canopy/curtains around his bed down on him #vs waking up to see melin splayed over him and staring for a beat #before flinching back #(he was definitely having some thoughts and/or dreams but thats neither here nor there)#idk thinking about arthur who trusts merlin implicitly and allows himself to lower his guard around him #his guard which he keeps up even in his sleep #GOD imagining them in an established relationship and merlin for once has /so/ much trouble waking arthur up #like before it was sorta bad but arthur was always in that half awake state #but now that theyre together….arthur wont even groan when merlin starts poking his ribs #arthur finally feeling so safe and protected that he allows his guard to drop in his sleep #and its the first time hes ever felt truly refreshed in the morning #so now merlin has infinitely more trouble waking him up but when hes up hes UP and ready to go #bbc merlin #merlin emrys #arthur pendragon #merthur #arthur bby they could never make me hate you #hes just a girl desperately craving love and protection #merlin isnt even offering it #hes shoving it into arthurs arms with insults flying off the tongue #theyre so disgusting #(affectionate)#<3 #headcanon #head canon #hc

#poorly drawn mdzs #mdzs #mianmian #nie mingjue #jin guangyao #JGY is nothing but outwardly calm and carrying on his duties as the chair for the meeting #but in that small pause after Nie Mingjue commemorates Mianmian for leaving...you can feel the tension.#Because Nie Mingjue comes from a place of privilege. He's always been in a position where his legitimacy and political standing-#-were never challenged. He didn't have to fight for respect. He was born into this world respected.#For people like Mianmian and JGY who clawed their way up from the bottom...this is a huge deal.#Truth be told I have a lot of things to say about what it means and feels to be in a position where leaving is messy.#There are times where the situation is bad but to leave means that those years of your life will have been for nothing.#That all the other suffering incurred will be fruitless. So you just *keep going*. Because it *has* to be worth it.#Because going back to what you were before is even more terrifying than the hell you are boiling in.#My concrete example for this is post-grad academia.#Because that cohort will have spent over a decade pursuing a goal and leaving means...well...it means throwing away those years.#It means losing (likely nearly all) your connections. It means going into debt you'll never pay off.#It means putting up with some pretty heinous abuse from your supervisor because what are you suppose to do? Leave?#Leaving is for those with the privilege to have options.#And even if you do have options...#Ultimately we would rather love the pain we know than risk the unknown. Hoping it's worth it one day.#With that mindset established; never say JGY should have just left like Mianmian. He couldn't. This was what he dedicated his life to.#He never had the option. Even if it seemed like he did - no he did not. He never conceived this ending ever happening for himself.

it's easy to miss if you're able-bodied and extremely sheltered, but the fact that all architectural "accessibility" is designed with the (false) presumption that the disabled person in need of the accommodation will have an able bodied person to assist them, is a glaring oversight and failure of design, in my opinion

#vasira rambles #like those steep ramps for wheelchairs #idk if you've rolled a wheelchair uphill as the person in the wheelchair but it's an exhausting and difficult feat #but u can just slap a ramp onto a building and call it accessible #but it's only accessible if the wheelchair user has a motor on their chair or another person to assist #and that sucks #like ideally we all live to die of old age right #statistically in that case we will all become disabled at some point #but the way architecture and city planning is built has very little regard for this #and we are all worse off for it

This started out as a quick thing to try out a new colouring technique! While figuring out what to draw, I found myself really wanting to see Rollo at a cafe… He looked mildly pleased when mentioning the Mostro Lounge in his voice line, so that has to mean something- right??? And he is a coffee drinker!
