the idea of characters and lambs (even if lambs might not exist in other realms, it’s not about that but the contrast of animals purity and innocence clashing with violent characters)
shang tsung gently holding a lamb before setting it down to slaughter it in order to further his research and experiments.
ashrah striking quickly to save a lamb from a pack of wolves, but too late to save the lamb’s parents.
reiko looking at a lamb in the midst of the aftermath of a battle, the lamb lost and fumbling around dead bodies.
havik seeing a lamb cooped up in a pen and carrying it out of the pen.
mileena staring at a lamb, and a desire to feast on it itches at her, but she manages to contain her hunger.
kuai liang caring for a cold lamb by cradling it to offer it warmth.
johnny cage visiting a ranch and initially refusing to hold a lamb, until it was plopped into his arms and he couldn’t disturb it when it had fallen asleep in his arms.
raiden attempting to soothe a frightened lamb in the midst of a thunderstorm.

One of the thing I hate the most about the batfam fanon is the very popular belief that Crime Alley is Red Hood's territory only and that they love him more than Batman, or even hate Batman.
And sure, you are free to have headcanons, but when those diminish other characters so you can uplift your blorbo, or disregard other characters' morals so your blorbo is loved by everyone, it's an issue.
First, do you realize for how long Batman has been operating in Gotham and Crime Alley? He has been there for Crime Alley's folks for so long! There's this great episode of Batman: The Animated Series where Batman protects and saves Crime Alley folks when a business tycoon is set on destroying their homes. He is also shown to go visit Leslie Thompson as Batman, and helps her as Batman. ("Appointment in Crime Alley" is the episode, GO WATCH IT) In the comics, it is redundant that Bruce spend each anniversary of his parents' murder in Crime Alley as Batman. That's literally how he got Jason. He doesn't just beat up criminals, he shows up to protect the people there, from the elite just as much as common criminals. Bruce, as Batman, has been seen by Crime Alley folks helping Leslie multiple time and listening to her. In No Man's Land, the poorest population of Gotham cannot leave, and who shows up to help and protect them? BATMAN (with Huntress and Batgirl, the boys are out of town) He is the one to save them, to bring them food and medecine, to take them to Leslie. He is not letting a single one of them die and suffer more. And you're telling me people in Crime Alley don't like Batman???
Secondly, people don't feel safe around cops because they kill people who have committed crimes or are criminals in their eyes. The thing about cops is that, the system should held them accountable for that, because they work for the government. Red Hood is doing the same shit, but he cannot be held accountable. This is literally one of the canon reasons Batman cannot kill. How the fuck can you think people, especially minorities and poor folks who are the most targeted by police violence, feel safe with a man using the same logic as violent cops but with no authority to stop him. "He only kills REALLY bad people" this is totally not canon, but also, how to people know that? How do you knows that who he sees as really bad people is the same as you and you are safe? Like, racists think black people and arabs are bad people, for example. They have no reason to trust Red Hood, he is just another crime lord doing the same crime lord shit of being like "I'll protect you as long as you are following my rule and paying me money, or else you'll die". Y'all love to call Bruce naïve for believing in the human rights and rehabilitation (Norway is literally doing that shit rn and they are doing so well), but you are naïve if you think everyone in Crime Alley love Red Hood and trust him.
Side note: Bruce is the one financially supporting Leslie's clinic. She has way stricter morals than Bruce (for example, if Bruce killed someone, she would call the cops on him to send him to jail. Bruce wouldn't call the cops on Jason) She would NOT accept Jason's crime money, and she doesn't need it with Bruce backing her. She probably doesn't like Red Hood at all, because he is violent and kills, and if some Crime Alley folks give a fuck about what Leslie thinks, they would also not like him.

This is swinging at a hornets nest but my cotl hot take is that the bishops either should have stayed dead or we got a choice to not bring them back to the cult after releasing them from purgatory

..... maybe I should let Rin actually kill Camilo.
Like.
Lacey stands in the snow. The only one who ever understood her is a lifeless corpse in her arms. The goat--her mirror. The only family she had left. Her sacrifice was for nothing.
And maybe the guilt is what corrupts her the most.
She told Camilo that Rin would change. Over and over. They knew she wouldn't, but Lacey kept telling them to hold on to hope. All the bishops had changed. Rin would too.
But Rin killed them.
Lacey let Rin kill them.
How do you believe in a happy ending after that?

Sad to say that I WAS a crazy ex girlfriend. But being crazy isn't what made me a crazy ex girlfriend. Being a GIRLFRIEND made me a crazy ex girlfriend.

everybody who went to a private catholic school name the craziest personal belief an instructor lectured the class on.
i'll go first: mentally disabled people are free of original sin, just like animals, so they get a free pass to heaven
#bonus points if the lecture was not-so-subtly referencing you specifically#ye i was the only super obviously autistic kid in my class since we did not have special ed classes or accommodations of any kind#and yes this teacher did seem to believe that i fell into the category of 'mentally disabled people who are like animals'#oddly enough this kind of made me her favorite student#she was really big on infantilizing ppl who were a certain level of mentally disabled#and yeah i guess dehumanizing too#except like how people says 'all doggos are good boys'#and even if a dog bites someone you can't like claim that dogs know the difference between good or evil#so it's not like...a fucking sin or something#so yeah she did openly express this stuff in class#i can't remember her explanation for mentally disabled ppl being free of original sin#but it was like tied in with the whole 'tree of knowledge' thing#and how not having that knowledge/sin is what makes us like innocent and dumb#got compared to a dog and also a lamb. not directly. like she did not call me out by name#but the entire class was super uncomfy because it was really obvious she was indirectly talking about me#at the time i was also like 'huh that explains some of her behavior around me'#and also thought it was hilarious that i got a free pass to heaven in her mind#also thought it was funny that she thought i was mentally disabled#because at this point i just thought i was a deeply weird person being mistaken for a mentally disabled person#but uh nope. i was like. really autistic. like lots of classic negative shit too like biting other kids and self-harmful stims and stuff

"Jehovah's witnesses are harmless! They're nice people!"
I'm 32, have been out since my late teens, and I still regularly have panic attacks about dying, about my family dying. And yes, I know a lot of people have these same issues with death, but mine are specifically brought about by a JW upbringing; because they raise you to believe everyone will live forever - if not now then later at the resurrection, but ONLY IF you are a JW. And despite being out, and despite not believing those things any more, they are still ingrained in my psyche.
JW's never grapple with death, they never give it the gravitas it deserves. Funeral's revolve around the fact that this person will come back. So sure, waste your life giving every spare moment and all your money to the JW cause, because this life doesn't matter outside of proving your worth to be resurrected.

I don't usually post my traditional sketches anymore but I recently was initiated to cult of the lamb by reading bamsara's fic and the two little guys are so similar to my old o.cs that I had to sketch something (role reversal/clothes swap whoop whoop).
Feel free to ignore, I feel funny today hehehiho

that post about how people treat writers as evil villains instead of people who are just making their own thing and sharing it keeps making me go are you new here???? cause yeah for a long long time writers HAVE BEEN evil villains twirling their mustaches, or the real life version: mocking fans, making fun of our enthusiasm and art and fanfic, treating us like freaks, sometimes outright insulting us.
yes of course I'm cautious when I get into new media, it's 2023 and a few weeks ago I had to read the most unbelievably rancid take from a showrunner about how gay sex is impure and would sully the sanctity of two characters' dynamic.
there's a massive difference between the people who made xena in the 90s fighting against the forces of the tv industry to let them be gay and a white dude who didn't get the memo that homophobia is bad in 2023
