new small au cyn lives and gets the Luna treatment
Tumblr media
cyn returns, but with a new drone body. under the new solver system, Cyn gains full control over herself again and the og AS is nothing but a voice on the inside kinda like Uzi.
she tries to get along with others but everyone is afraid of her and reject her, leading her to sink deeper into her former identity as the og Solver. though eventually she'll grow to separate herself and gain an identity of her own
now i need to rewatch luna eclipsed again. i just imagine theres like a party or smth and Cyn pops in with the same voice and goes "hi can i party too" and everyone just panicks

The goddess Arweny, depicted in Setem-Whe ornamental style. She is usually described as a female elowey protruding from the jaws of a gigantic serpent, or as a small snake with a rat perpetually stuck in its throat.
She is considered to be one of many local spirits of the wilds across the vast forested region known as Nekhuatseth, and is venerated (and cursed) as the god of the hunt-interrupted. She is believed to lend strength and speed to hunted quarry, allowing them to escape predation against insurmountable odds. She is completely impartial, and will lend her mercy to an insect just as easily as she would to a person.
Hunters blame her when what seems to be a certain kill escapes, and pray to her when they find themselves hunted. In many places, it is believed that she will hide all prey if she is not appeased, and as such is left offerings of fruit and wine before any expedition. It is common in rural parts of Nekhuatseth to wear amulets depicting her likeness to ward off attacks from wild beasts.
A folktale from the Sykhilic cult (a Nekh and Setem-Whe religious order devoted to a lunar goddess, scattered in temples at the edges of wilderness areas) intends to teach youths about the dangers and impartiality of the wilds, and illustrates beliefs about Arweny's intervention in the cycle of hunter and hunted.
A young hunter walked alone through the wilds in the heat of the dry season. They were on their rite of passage, and as such were armed only with a knife and could feed only on what game and forage they found on their journey. They were three days in, tired and hungry and missing the comfort of the city more and more with every step.
The hunter stopped at the edge of a clearing to eat a few clumps of dry, tasteless grass. They chewed miserably and dreamed of the great feast that would be held upon their return, when they heard a sudden snap. The youth had only a moment to turn before a great beast seized them in its claws. A tyger had been stalking them, and now pinned them to the earth under one massive paw!
Thinking fast, the young hunter called upon one of the wild gods of these parts.
“Arweny! Rat-Who-Chokes-The-Snake! Please, lend me your strength!”
And there was a great rustling in the bush, a sliding, slithering sound, and a cackle of frightful laughter. And the hunter felt every muscle in their body seize with a great strength, and they wrenched themself out of the stinking cat’s grasp.
The youth scampered up a tree and sat in its high boughs with their breast heaving. The cat paced below in helpless agitation, for the branches were far too lithe to support its great weight.
The great beast stalked away, and the hunter cried out their thanks to the lord of the triumphant prey and nursed their wounds.
The young hunter walked along deer trails all day, but there was no quarry to be seen, and the scents were weeks old and unpromising. With hunger now gnawing painfully at their gut, they came upon a great river. There were water lillies growing in the shallows with thick, tasty bulbs, and the air was alive with frogsong. The youth crept out into the muddy water, hoping to find something good to eat.
But a slight ripple on the water filled their gut with ice. Their instinct told them to be afraid, and in the fraction of a second, they whispered, “Arweny, lord of the hunt-interrupted, lend me your speed.”
And in that same moment, a colossal riverdrake sprang forth from the murk, faster than the hunter could have run. But their body was seized with a great quickness, and they leapt into the air, high above the drake’s head, and came down upon its jaws, forcing them shut with a snap!
As they sprang away from the beast, they heard a wet slithering sound, and that same cackle of triumph. They silently thanked the lord of the biting quarry, and ran far from the river and its dangers.
But now, the hunter was near starved. The small insects and dessicated grasses they had found along the way did little to abate their hunger. They needed to make a kill or they would surely starve.
And as if by divine will, they came across a river hog hopelessly tangled in a thorny mass of dead vines. It squealed and strained with all its might, but to no avail. The hog collapsed to its side and laid still, chest heaving and showing the terrified whites of its eyes. The hunter sighed in relief and drew their blade.
And suddenly, the hog trembled and burst away, ripping up and dragging all the vines along with it! The hunter was frozen in shock. How was this possible? The hog was as good as dead!
And as if to answer that question, they heard that same slithering, the sound of something heavy dragging its long body over the dry leafbed. And they heard that same cackle, a laugh of triumph, as the prey fled and the hunter starved.

The epilogue made me reevaluate this panel of Hawks, the framing of Twice's murder, and, in fact, the story's stance on extrajudicial killings as a whole.
For the longest time, I thought the way Hawks was drawn here - pitch black and inducing a certain sense of dread within the reader (kinda like a villain) - was a very unsubtle hint that what Hawks was doing here wasn't right, it wasn't heroic. It was something we readers shouldn't endorse.
But, perhaps this panel was supposed to depict only Twice's view of Hawks - not the story's, not Horikoshi's, only Twice's…
Like many others, I thought the aftermath of Hawks killing Twice would lead to an interesting development of Hawks' character, him struggling with killing such a "good guy", asking himself whether he truly made the right choice, questioning the origin of villains. It would also lead to the hero kids starting to question things: the whole hero system, hero society's handling of villains, the choices made by the adults around them, etc. How could it come to this, a hero killing someone, when heroes are supposed to save people?
But none of the kids were ever shown to spare this issue a thought.
Sometime after the first war, Midoriya - our moral compass in this story - was more concerned with Lady Nagant killing the former president of the HPSC, allying herself with All For One, and having lost her faith in heroes rather than her extrajudicial killings. His biggest takeaway from her story was that things aren't black and white - that's all. No dismay at the HPSC's crimes, no engaging with hero society's dark sides. Nothing.
And now, without ever really reflecting on the decisions he made regarding Twice, without ever showing any doubt in his righteousness, Hawks has become the new president of the HPSC and seems to be living his best life.
What does that say about the story's stance on extrajudicial killings? No character on the heroes' side ever condemns them, not even Deku, our moral compass. Thus, I have to assume that the author himself doesn't condemn them.
It's sad, but sometimes it can't be helped - extrajudicial killings are a necessary evil.
Maybe Horikoshi doesn't really think like this, but the way things are framed tells a different story. (Not to mention the parallels between Deku killing Tomura and Hawks killing Twice.)

Nobody including me posts about their ocs enough so please please please reblog reply or whatever with some oc tidbits!
#mutuals I am begging you kindly#I’ll go first! Tango has a massive soft spot for mole rats. hates killing them and thinks that they’re absolutely adorable! they would#rather be electrocuted than to admire that they have feelings though!#Murphy is the second eldest of 5siblings with her twin brother Tom being marginally older#they all look very similar (freckles. light brown hair. tanned#and front teeth gaps) and they have the youngest is tallest / oldest is shortest height variants haha!#they grew up together and stuck together even after the youngest was killed in a battle on Aus soil against fallout china. they all decided#to move to America and enlist (as was common) but we’re all put into seperate squads). the bombs fell and she lost track of her 3 brothers#after the whole being frozen for 210years.. perhaps they are still out there ..#Libby is just over 100 and remembers back when the super mutants actually were an organised threat.. rather than small groups#slick is only an average shot but his tactics are excellent and he has very steady hands as well as enough medical knowledge to be a useful#field doctor! he would much rather be helping than shooting anyway#Thorn is part of tangos timeline/au and because she convinces Kellogg to take her directly to the institute#none of the usual teleporter run around missions happen as well as reunions happening in almost a second time.. that has a lot of#impact on how the story changes for everyone involved!#while nathan is the present time is barely a husk of his former self albeit in a much more dangerous body#he has retains enough of his subconscious memeories to be increasingly dangerous to power armour users.. imagine if when a deathclaw picks#you up it also knows how to operate the release latch rip#typos! ocs tag#typos! tango tag#typos! In the summer of 2023 I was hiking in the mountains of Scotland and Norway.
In the summer of 2024 I found myself in a wheelchair because I cannot travel without airport assistance.
I no longer work. Or leave the house (except for doctor's appointments). Or watch a movie in one sitting.
I hardly ever see my friends or family, and never for long.
COVID is not just a cold. COVID is not just a flu.
The risk of getting long COVID is cumulative.

Do you girlies ever think about Donna Noble? Yes she's funny but she's way more than that. Catherine Tate was a plus sized middle-aged woman who was suddenly the female lead of a show that was famous for always having a crotchety old man with an adoring thin girl being wide eyed at all his remarks. And she didn't take his shit. But she also made him a better person by being emphatically kind at every opportunity. She was insecure. She felt like she could never be loved because she had a harsh mother and was constantly treated like a nuisance because she constantly talked (ADHD queen). Whenever she saw anyone in pain she fought the most amazing man she knew to make sure they were saved. She sacrificed herself to save the universe multiple times despite spending her whole life being told she was selfish. She is the most important woman in the universe

How to handle running into a former friend or ex that you’re not looking to reconnect with
Let’s talk about something we all face at some point: running into someone from your past that you’ve moved on from, whether it’s an old friend or a former lover.
Tumblr media
You’ve done the work, you’ve grieved, and you’ve leveled up. You’re not interested in rehashing the past or rekindling that connection. But what happens when you bump into them in public?
Often when this happened to me, I found the other person missed me and wanted to spend time with me again - even when they had ghosted me. This made me uncomfortable. They had confused me, I had to grieve the loss of the relationship and now they want me again???
Tumblr media
Believing I owed them an explanation due to happy times spent together, I let them drag me into pointless discussions to figure out what had gone wrong years ago.
Every time, I realized our connection had ended for a reason, and my explaining only opened up old wounds.
Don't do that.
Here’s how to handle encounters with former friends, lovers and foes like a boss:
Tumblr media
1. Stay Calm and Composed
First things first—take a deep breath. You’ve already moved on emotionally, and this is just another moment in your day. You’ve got this.
2. Acknowledge Them Briefly
If you make eye contact, a simple “Hi” or “Hello” with a confident smile is more than enough. You’re showing that you’re mature, unbothered, and not holding any grudges. No need for deep dives into what happened.
Tumblr media
3. Keep it Short
If they try to engage in small talk, go ahead and be polite, but keep it light and brief. A quick “It’s good to see you,” followed by a natural exit, sends the message that you’re not interested in going any deeper.
4. Graceful Exit Strategies
Sometimes, it’s best to have an escape plan. If the conversation starts to linger, here are some graceful ways to make your exit:
“I’d love to chat more, but I’m on a tight schedule today. Have a great day!”
“It’s nice seeing you, but I need to finish my shopping before I forget what I need.”
“I have to go; someone’s waiting for me. Take care!”
“Well, I should get going. It was nice running into you!”
“I’ll let you get back to your day. See you around!”
Tumblr media
5. Don’t Feel the Need to Explain
If they try to bring up the past, it’s perfectly fine to deflect. A simple, “That was a long time ago, and I’m focused on the present now” will keep you from getting sucked into a conversation you’re not interested in. You’ve moved on, and your time and energy are precious.
It’s all about maintaining your peace of mind and protecting the progress you’ve made. You’ve leveled up, and you don’t need to revisit chapters you’ve already closed.
Stay polite, stay brief, and most importantly, stay focused on you. You’ve got bigger and better things to do! 💪✨

It’s so funny seeing people characterize the HL guys (particularly the slytherin duo) as broody bad boys, akin to the early obsessions with one draco malfoy when if anything it’s the girls who are covered in blood covered in blood covered in blood covered in—

Here's a fanfic idea: A self-insert oc who just so happens to be Team Green dies and wakes up in the world of hotd as the daughter of Alicent Hightower. Between adjusting to life without the modern comforts of home and growing up in a nest of vipers, the self-insert quickly realizes that her favorite Greens are different from the lovingly written headcanons she shared on her Discord server, that Aegon II is a total monster, that being the daughter of her favorite character is not for the faint of heart, that Otto Hightower is not a well-meaning political mastermind who loves his grandchildren, and that her half-sister Rhaenyra was never an evil wicked kinslaying witch.

i have not even begun to process how lavinia is feeling and instead i am thinking about hilda and alistair going to weisshaupt after adamant and hilda saying they're just gonna stay for a bit before heading out to work with the inquisition and then it's been a year and then two years and beth and nathaniel are back at vigil's keep but hilda can't bring herself to go back when the whole order is at best a laughingstock and at worst an enemy in ferelden and her and alistair build a home in weisshaupt that neither of them really want and. Augh.
#hilda is a very. i wouldn't say happy. but she is very optimistic.#generally. but then there are times when things happen that make her fall into SERIOUS serious depression#like vigil's keep/amaranthine and then not finding a cure for the calling and then what happened#with erimond#she is so humiliated. and totally loses herself and walks around weisshaupt like a shell of her former self#she goes on long pilgrimages to our lady of the anderfels without telling alistair lol just fully#goes out in the middle of the night and leaves a note but hidden in his pockets somewhere#he paces grooves into the floor of their temporary room in weisshaupt while he waits for her to come back#and alistair meanwhile who also feels humiliated about the order also feels righteous and regains#a lot of personal street cred after what happened. and people start to acknowledge him#REALLY acknowledge him. for his part in the fifth blight. and how much of a hero he is#but at the cost of his wife disappearing into herself. so it's not even a win.#i know lancit and remi are the griffon's trainers but atp the griffons are still 10 years old - if not more?#i think valya found them in 9:40 or 41 so they're like 11-12?#hilda was there for a bit of their growing up and totally claimed one#and she won't say it's because she knows ser pounce a lot and lady rarely pounces#and rooney and all the other cats at vigil's keep are... either dead or living in the wild#after all the fereldan wardens abandoned it and she was off on the calling#:|#just made myself sad and pissed myself off.#wait wtf why DID I WRITE THIS POST I'M GOING TO PASS AWAY....................#oc: hilda#pairing: hilda x alistair#datv spoilers#maia.txt
