when you get this you have to answer with 5 of ur fav songs and then tag your mutuals to do the same, but as usual, I'm tagging nobody, and I'm gonna do what I want.
5 Colorful Songs!
tagged by @wen-kexing-apologist who had a pretty good playlist!
Note: Yellow is my favorite color; therefore, Coldplay's "Yellow" could not be considered. It's not fair to these other songs that they aren't about yellow.
AFI - Girl's Not Grey
youtube
Lead singer, Davey Havok, is everything to me. He looks good with any hairstyle and at any age, and the way he performs gender is amazing. I've seen AFI several times, but my favorite was when they were on tour with 30 Seconds to Mars and Linkin' Park. I caught the tour at the Dallas stop, and AFI was the opener. As much as everyone loves "Miss Murder," I'm strictly a "Girl's Not Grey" screamer because this music video is forever embedded in my head and my heart.
New Order - Blue Monday
youtube
No style of music hits me harder than 80s synth-pop, and any version of this song is a win in my book. The juxtaposition is what makes it one of my favorites because it gives us over two minutes of the best dance beats in the intro only to hit us with the lyric "How does it feel? To treat me like you do?" then proceeds to make us dance to five more minutes of the singer lamenting about an abusive relationship. It's a bop!
NENA - 99 Red Balloons
youtube
The 80s + dance songs about horrible shit = my eternal love. This song was originally in German then an English version came out, and everyone was dancing to a song about nuclear war. It was about a girl releasing balloons and because the government couldn't identity the objects, they shot them down, which caused a domino effect of other countries releasing bombs, but in the end, the girl stands in the rumble releasing one final balloon. It's a song about war, destruction, and hope. God, I love it.
Goldfrapp - Ride a White Horse
youtube
Most people know this duo for their 2003 hit "Strict Machine" which is a song about control, machines, and, of course, sex, so know that is very on brand for the band. They came out with "Ooh La La" which was about wanting sex without romance, and "Ride a White Horse" could be referring to drugs, but it wouldn't be a stretch to think it's about sex too, especially since the color white aligns with purity and innocence, yet the lead singer is doing the dirtiest things in the music video, so yeah, sex is my final answer.
Amy Winehouse - Back to Black
youtube
This song is about Nas. Winehouse is singing about American rapper Nas! She wrote other songs about him such as "Me & Mr. Jones" and "In My Bed" which he confirmed, but in a way that merely states Amy liked listening to his music, which seems like a bold lie because like all of her songs, it hits at the core of her emotions. The lyric "I died a hundred times" just ain't about sadness, you know? But that's why I love this song. It has a history. She is exposing a secret while keeping it close to her chest. She was sharing her whole life but being guarded. It was beautiful! It still is.
Bonus: Purple Disco Machine - Male Stripper
youtube
German Grammy-award winning DJ Purple Disco Machine knows his audience is queer and creates sets he knows will resonant with that audience. I have seen him at Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, Nevada, Red Rocks in Denver, Colorado, and a club in Koln, Germany and each time he delivered queer dance floor icons like Sylvester and Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears to the masses, so I'm going to keep showing up to his sets because I know it'll be a good time for me and all the disco queers.

💙- What would your character be doing if they hadn't gone through what the have?(Don't play with me I know they're probably traumatized)
🤍- How willing to help a stranger would your character be?
For the sake of "simplicity" I'm only answering for Narul
💙- What would your character be doing if they hadn't gone through what they have?
This is pretty difficult because I'm not sure what exactly that entails, where does "What he's gone through" start?
If he had never been rescued as a baby and thus been enslaved, he would be dead, left to die of exposure in the cold after the execution of his mother.
If he had been bought by someone other than Hutbari or had been told about his true nature (not emotionally abused). He would be a much more confident person, and likely would have become a sort of warrior or great hero (or a tyrant/monster) similar to other spiritbloods like Mikrab, Tamel, Sadaric, and Batricca. Even among spiritbloods, Narul is unusually big and strong, he would ultimately have gone down in history as a terrifying person, a "demigod", rather than the kind though fearsome giant that is remembered in the poems and songs of the Green Sea.
If Narul hadn't saved Ninma during Akard's coup, he would likely have remained in Labisa, remaining as a slave or more likely a pawn in Akard's imperialistic ambitions. Unless of course by not saving Ninma he also didn't save the other slaves from the carnage. In that case he would likely have gone into a rage, ultimately Akard's coup would have failed just as it started. Narul would lay waste Labisa, confirming all of his fears, Hutbari was right, he is a monster. All the anxiety and anger would curdle into anger and misanthropy. Narul would be a much more dangerous person, and would not be able to properly handle the experience of watching the world age around him. As with number 2, Narul would likely be a much darker and crueler person than he is.
For all the terrible and horrible things that have happened to Narul, the pain and abuse he has endured, Narul is ultimately the kind and gentle person that he is because of the people around him. Suru, Bira, Otilia, the Throuple, Penetinos, and most importantly, Ninma.
🤍- How willing to help a stranger would your character be?
He would help in an instant and almost always without hesitation, even if he might ultimately wouldn't actually be able to help much. A big part of that is unfortunately that Narul is used to either serving (as a slave) or being the person that people rely on (Ninma and others). But also Narul is deeply empathetic and knows what it's like to feel lost or helpless.

7, 8 and 17 for the ask game!
[ ask game here! ] - ty cake >:D
7. what's the last thing you read that made you cry?
my mark for my first spanish translation coursework uhh i don't actually know off the top of my head. i haven't read many fandom things recently, and certainly nothing that has actually brought on tears... maybe this is a sign haha
8. bed sharing or roommates au?
bed sharing, probably. it's just funnier to me. throwing their hands up in the air because 'WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE'S ONLY ONE, WE BOOKED A DOUBLE' 'yeah a... a double bed it seems, not room...' (i'm writing that down, nice one helia) and i don't think i've ever done a roommates au myself. the tension's just different (and juicier mwahaha)
17. describe a fic that is still in the 'ideas' stage
i'll be here for a decade. and that's just picking the fic lmao. but... sure! i spun a wheel for this haha :')
so, a fun idea i've had that comes and goes is a highwayman au. i feel like it's an aspect of english history that i've not actually seen done in fandom, but i think it suits Arthur nicely - similarly to how the pirate image suits him. it's that romanticisation of the dangerous and deadly. the rogue who ventures the english countryside on horseback, holding carriages at gunpoint, stealing from the rich, running from the law... it was one of my favourite things from studying GCSE History: Crime & Punishment. will always recommend Horrible Histories' Dick Turpin song for something silly and light-hearted lmao.
back to the fic: of course, one night, mr. highwayman Kirkland might just happen on the carriage of, say... the son of a foreign ambassador. and perhaps Arthur does his work as normal, and perhaps his victim gains a morbid fascination with the perpetrator... or maybe Arthur finds himself not wanting to steal away money and jewels, for once, but a far greater prize. how much would a ransom be, he wonders...
my instinct would naturally be to go with engspa for this fic. maybe that's obvious in hindsight haha. Antonio would be the kind to put up some kind of fight, wanting to defend his family, his honour, his wealth, etc etc. he wouldn't just hand anything over. the back-and-forth would be funny, but Antonio may also see some kind of charm in this mysterious rogue. it's the sort of exchange that could see Toni slung over a horse fairly fast,, wink wonk ;3
but i also think it could lead to an interesting dynamic with Port, who i feel would almost just hand over what he has to Arthur because frankly he doesn't want to be in the miserable country anyway so maybe this will convince his father to let him go home (finally). which is actually quite funny. and if Arthur could promise him adventure, or prove that England isn't all misery, maybe, for a night, Port might just follow him to a tavern, or to a room above an inn...
two options. anyone steal it and i bite your toes >:)
(anyway, i'd say it'd be something short, but you know me. if i start it, it'll unravel and become a 50 chapter work somehow haha,, a whole adventure!)

*kicking my feet at the additional lore and getting Eri to infodump* (also at everyone teasing Eri Eri)
I’m a little confused about the experiments in particular meaning that there’s something living to melt into should something happen.
Are the experiments refining the body transfer process to reduce the incidence of failures? Are they studying something else and just have a side bonus of keeping spare host bodies on hand in case of emergency? (And as blood bags/to play with.)
Or are the demons engaged in conservation efforts and husbandry of the human race to ensure it continues to exist and be available to them indefinitely? (Like keeping livestock. Promised Neverland vibes here.) Is it to preserve knowledge of humans in case they become extinct? The last is obvious though maybe not for that specific reason. They’re seeking knowledge and observing history to directly report it. The galleria all seem like anthropologists, studying humans and documenting or participating in their culture, with Eri as head archivist being the most formalised in that role. However… they interfere a lot and change the course of events.
It’s kind of sad for Eri (and the unfortunate ‘volunteers’) that the only way he can express his creations and feelings to humans is by taking them to his lonely space and breaking them.
I’m sure Genesis would take him on tour to perform or let him help write songs… but that would mean risking his precious original body on Earth, and forgiving Genesis. And it seems Eri doesn’t want to rekindle.
(Also the shenanigans if he performed his romances. Genesis would 100% egg him on.)
"oh, love! it's good to hear you ramble."
"let me take this over. experiments isn't a good word for it, no. we need people as backup in case something goes wrong. poor genesis will get stabbed by an intruder and what will he do if you're the only person around? you don't want to die a premature death because he couldn't get to a more deserving body of such a fate, do you? he'll use a person instead to change bodies. we need flesh to be reborn. it's beautiful. you're on track with the idea of blood bags. plus, dear, i need something to keep me busy. i'll sit around in my lonesome and want to start swinging! i need to use that arm. it'll call to me. it sings to me."
"people are fascinating. they will continue their lives, and we will find ourselves useful. if they all die because of their own selfishness, we will find another species to nestle ourselves into. we're like parasites...some don't like that word. i don't think it's bad."
"there's a popular saying in my galleria. 'as usual, it was aeron's fault.' not exactly a lie. i just can't help myself when there's drama. i interfere a lot on accident. i've sat and made plenty of historical darlings in human history do things they wouldn't. not because i wanted them to. i just have a horrible effect on everyone around me! things just happen, dear!"
"i've been telling erebus this for years. he needs to let this body go. he doesn't have to deal with the pain, the uncertainty in his work, the need to force others to read his pieces only to break them....if he just died once. he thinks i'm fooling him. i never wanted him to suffer like this. i think about doing it to him myself. he'd never forgive me. i'm surprised he's not more openly hostile to me like he is with genesis. i think all of his problems would be resolved if he died once. i'm serious."

Winx Club Season 6
What I LIKED about this season:
Love the Bloomix aesthetics for each girl.
Tecna and Timmy's relatationship ♥️
Faragonda's new outfit
Daphne and Thoren's relationship ♥️
The new scenery and worlds.
The Specialist's new armor
The Specialist's new weapons
The creatures from the legenderiaum (They actually had good designs and intressting fairy creatures)
What I DIDN'T like about this season
Bloomix is useless against the creatures from Legendarium. (HELLO!! THIS IS THE FREAKING DRAGON FIRE WHICH IS PART OF CREATING THE MAGIC UNIVERSE!)
The NOSTALGIA bait!
How the winx each earned Bloomix in the worst ways possible.
MYTHIX!!🤢🤢
Mythix horrible aesthetics. They looked okay in design. But in 3D they
Switching Tune and Digit with Cherie and Caramell as Musa and Tecna's bonded fairies. Because writers wanted it to be connected with Pop Pixie( Which is stupid!)
Turning the girls into 16 year olds again or whatever age they are now?
All of the specialists and winxs relationships (except Timmy and Tecna's) are chaotic and the writers force unneceseary drama into the show!
Musa's relationship with Riven.
Riven being so damn competitive against Sky like season 1. Making so he dosen't take the situation seriously.
The matching uniform outfits🤬🤢🤢
Bloom being of course the center of the season once again! Even all of her story arcs are over!
Aisha's weird love triangle with Roy and Nex. Wouldn't it be better to let the girl be free this season after what happened in season 4.
The cheap animation and the music!
Mythix transformation. They should have replaced the transformation song with "You spin my head right round " by Flo rida. Because the girls just spin around!
Tecna and Musa's so called fight because Tecna didn't like the same thing like Musa in the music college. And then after 5 minutes they are friends again?!
Eldora is useless and just their for comidic relif when Stella is not around or not her turn.
Stella being turned into the comic relif in the show and the writers making her into the whining, childish "Dumb blonde" in the serie! When she was the oldest of winx and had more experience.
Daphne being there but has nothing to do. Then just her relationship with Thoren, talking about the legendarium or history.
They ahould never have bringed her back to life! She was once a beautiful eatherial Nymph! With lovely golden flowing dress, a crown that look like a phoenix on her head and a mask that gave mysicism around her.
Thoose bastard took this away FROM HER!! They made her plain, kind of boring dressed and they only form she can transform into is Sirenix!
I really don't like the dresses in this season. They are to uniform, to cheap and look to heavy to wear! Unlike the dresses in the earlier seasons.
The winx being so freaking happy all the time! Like they laugh at everything and the use of words like "cool", "awesome", "amazing" and many more to things that is just meh.
All these damn pointless parties!
That they changed producers and writers for this show. All to make it more for children when they could have make it more mature.

Ayo, it was really fun, so here goes right back at you! What's the latest song you've heard that makes you think about one of your wips/characters, and why does it do that? <3 Gimme, gimme.
!!! thank you!!
man this is actually kind of hard, my memory is so bad lmao. according to my song add history for my big playlist it was Choke by I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME, which could certainly apply to more than one of my characters, but when I played it back right now it made me think of Regaya more than anyone else. as a matter of fact most of the recently added songs apply to her so I guess I'm just fated to talk about he no matter what :)
so tw for murder, grooming, and abuse beneath here but honestly Regaya's past as a whole is a bit of a dead dove do not eat sort of scenario so PROCEED WITH CAUTION, I'm not really gonna sugarcoat things and I'm gonna hide this under a cut too
so this song makes me think so much about when she killed her horrible abusive fiancé, who definitely deserved death many times over, and a little bit how she'd love to do it again to her horrible abusive mother given the opportunity. but mostly about the former so I'm gonna pull some lyrics and talk about them for a bit
first of all, the chorus (trimmed down to the most relevant part):
I wouldn't hesitate to smile while you choke yourself and die now that would be just fine and what a lovely time, that it would surely be so bite your tongue and choke yourself to sleep
now this part kind of makes me think of the murder while it was happening more than anything, it just puts this picture in my head of what happened, BUT before I get into that I have to say that I love that it's written in the future tense bc this was absolutely a premeditative thing on Regaya's end. it took her months of preparation to not only have a plan and poison made (especially being under the ever-watchful eyes of her mother and fiancé) but also an escape plan because going right back to her mother after her fiancé's death was guaranteed to bring her back to square one. She had Embrist's help for all this of course, but that didn't necessarily make it any easier to pull off.
now she used cyanide for the murder (which she made herself) which basically prevents a victim's blood from carrying oxygen around the body (which is sort of like suffocation, I guess?). this was over the course of a little business trip so hiding the evidence and escaping would be easier. Basically due to a little bit of lore if her fiancé tragically disappeared during their travels over this specific stretch of land, no one was likely to look too hard at it, and Regaya could get off scot-free. anyway, she hid the taste of cyanide by serving it to him in sliced marzipan and she used far more of it than what already was a lethal dose, just to take no chances. I'm sure she was terrified this entire time but she was desperate to get out of her situation. I want to say more about how she was feeling in the moment but idk how exactly to explain it? I'm sure she was in the sort of hysterics that can have you laughing and in terrified sobs at the same time. regardless, she did pull off the murder, hid the evidence fine, and fled to the Crystalline Capital where she attended college for the next several years. I'll stop rambling on about the details now lol I'm sure it's a little weird that I have so much to say BUT there's another little lyric I wanna highlight for a second:
you get everything you want and money always talks to the idiot savants
so her fiancé was the sort of entitled rich businessman that this sort of lyric applies to, which is a fairly small detail in the song, but I love when little pieces line up with my daydreams and not just broad themes so it was definitely worth a mention!! this also kind of applies to her mother, who's definitely not only involved in "high society" but also is quite wiling and used to using any form of manipulation and even violence she can to get her way, which mostly has to do with her obsession over continuing the once-royal bloodline so that one day power to the family may be restored. (get over it girlie, your family lost power like 30,000 years ago. things change). she cherry picked that fiancé for his money, status, and family before Regaya was even named and said fiancé tried his damned hardest to groom her into the perfect future trophy wife but yeah, that backfired when she killed him. honestly there are arguably some parallels here bc Regaya's mother killed her husband when he started to realize how horrible she really was and tried to leave with the kids. obviously not identical situations here but I still really like to think about it.
to leave this off on a lighter note - don't worry too much for Regaya. her life gets so much better from here even if she certainly hit more tragedy on the way. nowadays she's very happy and in a pretty good place mentally. she's got a job she loves and finds great satisfaction in, great respect in academic communities for her advancements in medicine, plenty of friends by her side, a husband who loves and adores her for everything she is (especially her independence!), and the kids she's always wanted even if she's been afraid of indulging that dream in the past. so although her past is dark, things turn out alright for her in time.
so that was a lot and I hope it wasn't too dark but thank you for the ask!!! I was glad to have something to answer and this was really fun :)

Your eyes can be so cruel.
Kili x reader
Summary: Being apart of the company, and growing close to Kili. After stopping at an inn, some drunk men, decide to pick at Kili's appearance. Words from Bowie come into favour.
A/n: Requested by Thatfoolishhuman I have seen this idea a lot for Kili, but I'lol make it my own :) Also I'm British, so don't be mad at my spelling. FIRST IMAGINE OF 2021
Word count:3375
Warnings: Listened to David Bowie while writing this, sorry Bowie you just too handsome. Swearing.
Songs in order: rebel rebel, as the world falls down.
There was perks from travelling with your parents; due to business. The most frequent place you'd go was Tortuga, it was a quite a large village. Every time that you'd go, you and your parents stayed in an inn, which had a pub connected to it.
You'd eat with your parents in there, before all the drunks arrived, it was also a Saturday that you'd go. Saturdays meant that a song writer, and singer in one , was always there. His name being Jareth, he was a very beautiful man, in honesty one of the best musicians, in history.
Jareth was a skinny man, had a huge blond mullet, beautiful eyes one pupil larger than the other, beautiful accent, beautiful everything. Who couldn't have a crush on Jareth, his songs were like none other.
These trips started when you were 5, when your parents business finally picked up, all the way up until you came to age. Which is when you joined the company, due to Gandalf.
You didn't think you'd ever see Jareth again, but you do. You had undoubtedly had a crush on the singer growing up, you had almost forgotten about him when you joined the company.
Personally you didn't know Gandalf very well, not like your parents did, but he recruited you for an adventure, how could you deny it. A chance to see elves, dwarves, dragons? No way you was going to pass up that chance, no way.
You were surprised when the company had picked up, after getting Bilbo, since you lived on the way. Scary yes, not knowing any of these people, a chance at getting friends, you could only hope.
Strange was to say the least, you had seen a couple of dwarves growing up , that was just in pubs mostly. The were always not so pleasant, but these dwarves, plump and strikingly handsome. That hobbit? Bilbo that didn't take long for you to become friends, being shy didn't help, but some how you managed.
Dwarves were were quite scary; to say the least they intimidated you.
That was until a particularly rainy day, when the mud was like cake batter. Thorin had decided it was time to stop for the night, the rain hammering down, lightning even, every now and then.
Everyone was getting off their pony's, as were you, you was about to step down, when a huge crack of thunder was sounded above you. Damn you Thor. You had jumped, slipping on the mud, but you never hit the floor, instead you into strong arms.
Looking up , drips of water from dark hair had dripped on you, as Kili looked down at you. Your feet upwards, like a trust fall, you had smiled in embarrassment back to Kili, who had pulled you up to your feet. "T-thank you." Now standing up on your own, pulling your tunic down, trying to avoid eye contact.
"You're welcome, wouldn't want you to ruin your clothes a day into our journey." Kili had smiled at you, as you looked back to him from your feet, smiling slightly back.
Dwarves weren't as bad as they were made out to be, you learned that very quickly. When it was time for baths, turns out they were protective over females, always when you bathed two dwarves stood guard, just in case.
On cold nights, you'd wake up with an extra blanket.
Even though Thorin didn't like you were on this quest, he was never horrible, maybe because you just stayed quiet. You did not want to anger that beast, Bilbo talked quite a lot and look at him..
On one night, you were told to hide, Bilbo had been kidnapped by trolls, you hadn't listened. You followed everyone else, staying the bushes, getting as close as you possibly could, before quietly climbing up a tree with your knife.
It wasn't long before they were all caught, you just staring down at them, specifically Kili, you had hoped at he look up, and see you drop the knife. You could not make nose that would have alerted the trolls immediately. Sat on a branch , trying to blend in as much as possible.
That was Kili had looked up wide eyed, as you dropping the knife , and quickly climbed further up the tree to get out of eye view. You had thought it had worked, oh you was wrong.
"That one has gotten out!" Kili had started running around the trolls , as if he was sonic. A few minutes that lasted before you had noticed a shadow. But it didn't matter because Bert had grabbed Kili tightly, like he was slime that wouldn't stay put. No way would not have bruises after that. Of course he got out of Berts grip as Gandalf had appeared, cracking the large Boulder, turning the trolls into stone.
Feeling terrible the next day still, when the company had stopped again for the night and everyone had went to sleep. You could not, Kili being on watch, you had gotten up quietly, making your way over to him, sitting on log next to him.
Thinking about what you would say, Kili had beaten you to it. "Can't sleep?" His voice sounded tired, but still as lively. "Yeah.. um I'm sorry." Very convincing, indeed.
" for what?" The fire glowing orange, causing Kili to be barely visible as he turned to his to look at you. "It's my fault, that you got hurt yesterday, I should've listened to Thorin."
"What on earth are you going on about? I wasn't hurt? I'm fine, no one is dead , you did great, you didn't throw the knife at my head, maybe then I'd be distrusting in you." You felt like sighing, thankfully, but that would be cringy.
"I haven't got good aim, so it could've happened."
"You need someone to teach you." You had scoffed slightly at Kili, gaining his full attention.
"I do not think anyone would have the patience." The warm orange glow from the fire, lit up the outline of Kili's face, a small grin could be seen.
"Are you challenging me? I have to sit through multiple speeches from Thorin a day."
"That's because you and Fili mess with him, I saw you the other day tangle a bunch of branches into his hair ,while he was sleeping. Why are you always surprised that he gets mad?"
"That was funny though, did you not see that bird fly at him? It shat on his face." Kili's grin only widened, as did yours, you had seen, Thorins face was bright red with the whipped cream.
"I'm surprised Thorin doesn't just leave you somewhere."
"My mum would kill him. Right that settles it, you will learn from the best , to throw knives."
"You will really get Fili to help me?" Kili had gasped at you , sarcastically. "Oh I see, you want that Lion, over me, I'm hurt y/n."
"No,no, thank you Kili."
Thus, a bond was formed every night the company stopped, Kili would take you from camp, taught you basic defensive techniques and knife throwing.
To say the least, it did not take you long to develop a crush. Fili and Bilbo had became suspicious and decided to sneak up on you two. Why you'd do , not sure, Bilbo supposed to be smart, for all they knew you could've been going at it.
Instead they found you both sparring, undoubtedly they were confused, as you knocked the sword from Kili's hand ,before tackling him. Straddling him, as you looked up to see Bilbo and Fili. Quickly letting go of Kili's wrists, Kili looking up confused too, as you stood up, pulling him up with you.
"Oh, hi, we were just sparring." Too embarrassed to speak, Kili did soon as he noticed his brother and hobbit. "So, this is what you two have been doing for weeks? 'Sparring'?" Fili didn't believe it, if Thorin knew he would not have, an heir to the throne, left unsupervised with a woman? No way.
"Yes Fili, I've been teaching Y/n how to defend herself." Sweat dripping down both of your faces, "Right okay, Thorin said it's time for you to have a bath in the quarry, before the dwarves filthy it. Come on y/n." Bilbo had pulled you away, turning your head back to Kili you had sent a smile back to him.
You were back on the road soon enough, Thorin had decided to let the company stop for a night at an inn, an inn with a pub on the side.
Tortuga, the inn you had grew up at.
What day was it? Saturday, you could only hope, you had a huge grin on your face. You had grabbed your stuff, once everyone was off their pony's, heading in to the inn,
Getting to the desk, to check into the inn, which consequently next to the bar, you in front. "Aye, it's y/n/n! It's been a while, luv. And you've brought friends, do you all need rooms?" Sparrow, the owner of the inn had greeted you, with a grin. That man was also very handsome, but too old for you though.
"I know, mum and dad been here a lot though, I assume? Oh I'm, when they next come here, would you be able to give this. And yes please we need for 16." Handing Sparrow the letter from your pocket.
"Of course, okay right it's 2 coins each for the night." The dwarves soon pulled out there coins passing them forward, as did you.
As Sparrow got the keys after counting the coins, he had turned back to you. "Oh, and lucky for you, y/n/n Jareth is here tonight." Sparrow had grinned, as your face flushed.
"Oh,really?" Kili unknowingly to you had also developed a crush on you, the mention of Jareth, made him bubble with jealousy. The company wondered, why such a young woman would be on nickname terms with the pub owner, and who Jareth was. They hadn't seen you as that type of girl, they were right not you, you weren't an alcoholic.
You had all went to your rooms, you had bathed deeply , dressed and headed down to the pub for dinner. The company already there, sat at tables, with jugs of ale. There was a space next to Kili, who had waved you over to sit.
Squeezing next to Kili, Sparrow had catcalled you again. "Oi, y/n/n , usual?" Nodded to his question, Loki the cook had brought out your favourite dinner, as Sparrow brought you an ale.
"You had it ready? Thank you." Sparrow had just winked leaving you to eat your dinner, the others were too busy drinking , but when they had noticed your food, they quickly ordered food.
"So, you come here regularly?" Kili had questioned as you finished your food, "oh, I'm yes, I travelled with my parents growing up , we had to drop stuff off here in Tortuga often , so we would stay here for the night." You had spoken quickly , wanting to change the subject.
" Transporting goods then?" Kili was intrigued, watching you intensely as you sipped your ale. Really he wanted to know who Jareth was. "Yeah, pretty boring, got to see a lot of places though." After that, a lot of people began to pile in, and the dwarves got drunker.
You knew it was going to be soon, that Jareth would be here. Not long at all, customers getting drunk, it was lively indeed.
Though nothing ever happened between you and Jareth, he still held a place in your heart, as well as being your best friend.
That's when you heard it.
"Doo doo doo-doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo-doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo-doo doo doo doo doo" you head had shot up,in search of him, but you couldn't see him.
"You've got your mother in a whirl
She's not sure if you're a boy or a girl
Hey babe, your hair's alright
Hey babe, let's go out tonight
You like me, and I like it all
We like dancing and we look divine
You love bands when they're playing hard
You want more and you want it fast
They put you down, they say I'm wrong
You tacky thing, you put them on." Then you saw him, on the stage , well sort of a stage.
Catching sight of his mullet, down to his eyes, he had not noticed you, you wondered if Sparrow had told him you were here. You hoped he would see you.
"Rebel rebel, you've torn your dress
Rebel rebel, your face is a mess
Rebel rebel, how could they know?
Hot tramp, I love you so!" Thats when Jareth finally caught your eyes, holding eye contact as he sang, Blush upon your face. You had gotten up and went to the bar, ordering something strong, before retiring to your seat.
As Jareth had already started another song, you smacked down your drink.
"There's such a sad love
Deep in your eyes a kind of pale jewel
Open and closed
Within your eyes
I'll place the sky
Within your eyes." Jareth , catching your eye, gesturing you to come closer , with his hand.
"There's such a fooled heart
Beatin' so fast
In search of new dreams
A love that will last
Within your heart
I'll place the moon
Within your heart"
Standing up , Kili watched you as you walked towards the stranger man, as did the other dwarves.
"As the pain sweeps through
Makes no sense for you
Every thrill is gone
Wasn't too much fun at all
But I'll be there for you-ou-ou
As the world falls down."
Jareth had held knelt down, holding his gloved hand for you to take, which you did. Pulling you up onto the stage. Still holding onto your hand, still singing, as he continued singing, you placed your hand on his shoulder as he placed his other hand on your waist.Kili's heart ached.
"Falling
As the world falls down
Falling
Falling in love." As you two danced , in sync, you truly loved Jareth, Kili stood up , went to the bar to get another drink.
"I'll paint you mornings of gold
I'll spin you Valentine evenings though we're strangers 'til now
We're choosing the path
Between the stars
I'll leave my love
Between the stars." Jareth had taught you how to dance, and every time you visited , he'd give you another song he had written for your book. A book which held all his songs.
"As the pain sweeps through
Makes no sense for you
Every thrill is gone
Wasn't too much fun at all
But I'll be there for you-ou-ou
As the world falls down
Falling
As the world falls down
Falling
Falling
As the world falls down
Falling
Falling
Falling
Falling in love
As the world falls down
Falling
Falling
Falling
Falling in love
As the world falls down
Makes no sense at all
Makes no sense to fall
Falling
As the world falls down
Falling
Falling
Falling in love
As the world falls down
Falling
Falling
Falling in love
Falling in love
Falling in love
Falling in love
Falling in love." As soon as the song was over, you both had gotten of stage and you had jumped into Jareths arms.
"Missed you."
"Ditto,"
Jareth had looked over to your table, "so you are travelling with dwarves now?" You had smiled , looking back your table, Kili wasn't there. "Yes, Jareth, I'm going on an adventure, we have already seen trolls."
Grinning down at you, realisation hit Jareth, and went rushed to his bag quickly before returning back to you with a sheet of paper.
'Magic dance.'
"Just in case you meet a Goblin king. So who is your beloved?" Taking the piece of paper, looking at into Jareths blue eyes in confusion. "W-what?"
"The dwarf that stormed out, he does not like me." Jareth had chuckled, as you folded the piece of paper up placing it away. "We aren't together."
"Maybe you should go check on him, y/n/n, come see me later, I'm staying here tonight." You had briefly hugged Jareth before leaving the pub.
That's when you heard it, "stupid fucking hairless, fuck." Local drunks harassing Kili. "Oi, what are you doing?" The men had turned briefly to look at you, before scoffing. "Fuck of tramp."
You had marched up to the greasy man, pulling by the shoulder, to face you , and kneeing him in the crotch, making the man double over. Kili had punched one of them. The men soon ran, when you had tackled one of them, beating them into mash, when Kili had pulled you off,the ground, trying to get out of his grip. All the men ran.
"It's me, y/n, stop, if you continued you would have been arrested." Placing , you back onto the floor, Kili had soon walked off, heading to his room, you following. But he had closed the door before you could get in.
This, you climbed up the roof hanging over the roof, to look into Kili's room. Looking like Spiderman. Kili sat on his bed staring at the wall, not moving, jumping when you knocked the window.
He had rushed to the window when he had seen you , hanging of the roof, you definitely couldn't hold on longer. Though Kili wasn't tear stained , it was clear that he was upset. He had opened the window, helping you in.
"What are you doing? On the roof, what if you fell." He as definitely annoyed, "I would not have, plus I wouldn't have to if you let me in before." You definitely would have fell.
He hadn't answered this time, just sat on the bed, away from you, you sat next to him on the bed.
"Kili, talk to me, tell me what has made you not yourself. Please, Kili." You didn't dare touch him, but you did placing your hand on his foreman. "Why don't you go to your beloved? You won't be seeming him for a while , instead of bothering me." You had scoffed pulling your hand off of him, you already knew he ran off because of Jareth.
"You are very stupid dwarf, in all honesty, Jareth is my bestfriend, only friend I had growing up, and don't you think he is a bit old for me?"
"I don't believe it, you like a man that has long soft hair, nothing like me, I can't even grow a beard."
"frankly beards are really gross, tell me that the dwarves don't smell? You know why? Because they drop food all their beards and don't know it." You had laughed, imagine Bombur going through his beard and finding cheese.
"They do smell,"
"Exactly, and what's wrong with your hair, Kili?" You had turned on the bed, bringing your hand up to his hair, touching it gently, moving it out for his face. "I think you've got lovely hair, those guys were just idiots, Jareth had to beat them with a soup spoon once, you are not stupid nor hairless. How could they call you hairless? They are bald?"
Cupping Kili's face, to bringing him to face you, looking into his chestnut eyes. "Y/n, I must confess, that this would not have happened if I did not like you." And with that you had pressed your lips to his.
"Your eyes can be so cruel
Just as I can be so cruel
Oh I do believe in you
Yes I do" Jareth singing faintly could be heard.

Fire–- his habilities in general is around fire magic, such as creating a flame from thin air to creating massive explosions. If you manage to enrage him enough his hair will turn into flames and he will breath a black hot smoke.
Earth–- this magic is more on the rock solid part. He's not very good with nature and earth magic (since he tends to burn things down thanks to his fire magic) but he is actually pretty good at rock manipulation. He can creates hard rocks from the ground and create precious rocks even, his most precious rock he can create is diamonds, but for that he needs to have passed through a hard time of stress, sadness or any overwhelming bad feeling, and as a result, two horns made of diamonds will grow to defend himself and look threatening. (He feels embarrassed after, he thinks he was weak enough to let those feelings overwhelm him)
Others habilities: he can speak with animals, cooks amazingly good and he's good at only three weapons: daggers, katanas and Lances.
— Personality and Preferences —
Personality: he's cold, cryptid and too honest. He doesn't give a single shit about how you feel, most of the time, i mean. He is hard to befriend, and always is looking for some hidden lie under any word that comes out of your mouth, but once you get his trust he will still be very cold but he will start showing how he feels. Like, giving gifts, making things. Giving without wanting back.
He has a great talent of getting through lies, so if you really want to deceive him, you gotta be smarter than him. People tend to stay away from his path everywhere he goes, not because bad reputation, but for respect, he can look as calm and cool as he wants but he can and will put you to your place if needed. Dimitry, whenever he wants to impress, he'll act, doesn't know how to talk about feelings or anything, so if he know about something you really want or like he'll get it for you, but will never want to take credits for it, instead he will use the famous "I just happened to be there".
Finally when he really likes someone, his behavior changes totally towards this person. He's calm, loving, sweet, measure his words with care to not hurt, loyal and becomes a little bit protective. He will smile more and if you're lucky, you can even get some chuckles out of his mouth, he'll even create jewels for you, "oh you like knives? Here's a diamond dagger I made."
Never talks about his markings. Unless you have a amazing relationship with him, but even so, he will only give hints and never the whole truth.
Likes: Cooking, talking with Max(well), reading, drawing, playing harp,(He plays it at his bedroom on the palace) silence.
Dislikes: loud people, disrespect, lies.
Fears: losing Max, cages and betrayal
Quirks: he can run extremely fast and thanks to his tail, he can make swift turns without losing much speed. His markings burn when he is enraged, and sometimes they will burn his own clothes.
Favorite food: Gingerbread
Favorite Drink: Hot chocolate
Favorite flower: Gardenia
Favorite color: Mahogany
Most likely to: burn a city down because they messed with one of his friends
★— Appearance — ★
Height: 197 cm
Eyes: Burning orange transitioning to yellow
Hair: long Mahogany colored hair, two long bangs on the front, hair tied up on a bun.
Other: his hair is not originally mahogany, his hair color is the same as the tuff of fur on his tail, wich is, blonde.
Color theme: Mahogany, red, yellows and beige.
Family & Background
Family:
His current adoptive mother is a queen, or as they say, a Leader, wich would make him the next in line
Bianca Wood - biological mother - deceased // Relationship: none
Darek Wood - biological father - alive? // Relationship: Bad
Meghan Rook - adoptive mother - deceased // Relationship: bad
Andrew Rook - adoptive father - deceased // Relationship: horrible
Lys Rook - adoptive sister - deceased // Relationship: he was kind of her slave
???? Darrleeyia - Adoptive mother - alive // Relationship: motherly, friend, family
History
Sit down because it's going to be a long talk
He was born on a very poor little village and his parents never actually wanted kids, it's one more mouth to feed and they almost didn't have food for themselves, he was raised to work hard, he helped on home already at a age when he knew already what was happening around him. His mother never gave him a motherly love and his dad just talked to him to offend or to order him around, not that he cared about it, he thought it was how parents worked. One day his mother fell ill and died, at that age Dimitry was 6, he knew she wasn't coming back and his dad started to put the blame on him for her death, as if he could do anything. One day things got out of hand and his dad became alcoholic, then he started to owe money for people, and he couldn't pay it. So one day, when the opportunity came and he saw that Dimitry could use magic, he sold Dimitry to a couple that needed someone to cook, clean and entertain the guests of their bar on another village. They payed a good price and even more because of the magic Dimitry knew.
When he arrived he felt betrayed, left by his own father. So he thought "Well, he was an ass anyways. I'm sure I'll be better here" unfortunately, it was not what happened. They had already pointed out that they needed someone to cook and clean the bar, wich he already knew and was fine with it but then they started to abuse their power over him. His sister made him clean her bedroom, she would cut his hair just for "fun" and blame him for anything she had done, and of course her parents believed her and only her. He got spanked a lot of times and then he just decided he would never smile or talk again, because every word that comes out of his mouth turns against him, at this time he was 8.
One day a customer, different from all the others came directly at him. It was a woman, taller than everyone in that room, she used a hood and she had an air of superiority. She asked him why he was sad and why did he work so hard, he didn't answer, but she insisted on talking to him, she even invited him to sit on a table to talk with her but he refused since he was working. Then, she told him she had a way of saving him from that place, he was just like her, but because of always restraining his emotions and desires, he didn't look different from all the rest. She would come at night again to have one last talk and it was his choice if he wanted to go or not.
When the woman came back at night, she was without her hood and when she walked in, all the bar fell silent. He finally knew who that woman was. She was the woman from the tales, the legends, she was Darrleeyia, a goddess. She brings warmth, prosperity and happiness whenever she goes, and she was just there, on that miserable bar, just to ask him if he wanted to come home. After she made the question all the eyes fell on Dimitry, he felt anxious for the first time, but he knew she wouldn't be worse than what already was happening to him there, so he accepted her offer. She gave him her hand and they walked out of the bar without interruptions. What about the bar, you say? She burnt it down and she did not hide her satisfaction of it.
Together, they went got on a ship and she took Dimitry where he now can call home.
Five Facts:
Dimitry is allergic to shrimp. He discovered that when the Leader of the seas of the homeland gave him a shrimp as a treat for helping her out. The Leader got in trouble with Darrleeyia later on.
He is ambidextrous
He can purr, but it's rare. Extremely rare that only two people saw him do that. His mother and Maxwell
His body runs at a higher temperature than normal humans.
His diamond horns cannot be broken by anyone other than himself. If someone wants to take it out they'll have to crack Dimitry's skull.

when you’re ready i’d love to hear your thoughts on the new icarly episodes 🥰🥰🥰
hi yeah ok so. i very clearly had a lil breakdown over it last night but let's jump into it objectively.
i was honestly like. preparing myself for really liking the reboot and i don't know whether i wanted to or not. and while there are some pros i think the bad far outweighs the good, and not for any particularly horrible reason, but the thing i think best describes it is it's just............messy. low energy. it feels like a rough draft.
i honestly like the first few minutes in i went from panicked anticipation to genuinely like, surprised at how much stilted exposition you could fit into one script. literally the whole thing was exposition and not exposition with any character merit, it was just telling you where the characters are now with no attention paid to how they got there or how they feel about it.
i think some of the jokes were funny. i liked spencers art show. i think skin routine baby spencer was a clever subversion. i liked millicents song a lot i think that struck gold. but it was mostly....forgettable. i'm not at all claiming that the humor should look like it did when the characters were brightly dressed teenagers chasing each other across bushwell plaza, but i am saying that icarly has a history of telling jokes that make you giggle for days after hearing them, and that wasn't there. the writing just. was not there.
the thing about carly is that carly as a character works because she's a kid. carly's funny and clever and independent, but the reason these things stand out are because of her word choices. when carly says something like "they just passed new international math laws" it's funny because she's smart enough to sell a joke with complete confidence and often with unexpected language. i absolutely did not get that in this show. i think miranda cosgrove put a lot of love and herself and work into this reboot, i do not think she sold the performance. and that made me really sad. it felt.........unfinished. it felt like rehearsal.
i felt this way about most of the other characters too, with the exception of laci mosley's character who didn't have anything to commit to. it was just like. ok cool we have a black character now, she's also the token queer! but there was no substance it was all stereotype. and like you know what! i wouldn't want that character expanded on because i don't even want her there in the first place. i want sam puckett.
which of course, means we have to circle back all the way to the exposition.
please believe me when i say my feelings about this show feeling half baked and under committed are coming from a genuine objective standpoint, because they are. i was expecting to be upset about the show, i was expected to be upset at my headcanons and acceptances and fandom experience having holes poked in it. i was not expecting to think it was bad. but bad or good, there was almost no way they could sell this characters absence that wasn't going to completely break my heart.
in the universe the show left us with: i believe spencer would trip and stumble his way into high society. i don't believe that he would think that was important. i believe that freddie would be twice divorced. i don't believe he'd ever subject his daughter to living under his mothers roof. i believe carly would be a social butterfly still desperate for love. i don't believe she would ever for one second let her best friend think she didn't need her. i believe sam puckett would get along well with a biker gang. i do not believe she would ever ever want that more than her found family.
also who the fuck ever wanted nora dershlit back??????
i give the first three episodes of the 2021 icarly reboot 2 out of 5 stars.
#i'm sorry i'm not putting this under a readmore really i am i just this is a very skimmed down version of my feelings#and putting it under a readmore would feel like muffling myself#bro im not doing well#long post#icarly#replies

Buffy: the Vampire Slayer (1997)
Season 1
Hello and Welcome back my creepy congregation! We will be taking todays service from the Big Screen into your living room for our first Personal Devotional. That's Right! We're reviewing full seasons of television series now and what better way to bring the spirit of the genre film to the idiots lantern that with the 90s Television sensation and all around love letter to the horror genre, Buffy the Vampire Slayer!
The Message
Regardless of how one may feel about Mr. Whedon we can't deny how much we love Buffy Summers and the Kids who live and die in Sunnydale! Season one of Buffy was a spin off/reboot of the earlier film and an attempt by Whedon to course correct the franchise by breathing a little charm and attention into the subject matter.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Season 1) focuses on Buffy Summers, a not so typical California high school student who, due to the events of the movie, has been relocated to Sunnydale High. Buffy is not just a cute, athletic, teenage girl looking to enjoy the prime of her life, though she is those things, she is also the Slayer, an anointed warrior who has been reincarnated throughout the generations to protect our vulnerable weak human world from the forces of evil; particularly Vampires. Buffy is a sort of supernatural Captain America, that is a peak human being, but instead of Nazi Science she was born with her powers.
Joining Buffy are; High School outcasts Willow and Xander (a nerd and a nice guy respectively), The ridiculously sexy librarian Rupert Giles (her mentor, guardian, high school librarian, and all around precious papa bear), Jenny Calendar (a technopagan computer teacher armed with all the mystery an ignorant 90s boomer could attribute to the internet), Angel (Spoiler: He's a Vampire, but he's a good guy. A hunky, broody, good guy vampire love interest), and her loving but entirely oblivious mother. The Scoobies as they have come to be called aid Buffy in her quest to protect Sunnydale from Dark Forces.
And Speaking of those Dark Forces, they are primarily vampires, led by the Master; an ancient vampire who resembles to some degree Nosferatu and a Bat, a look that Guillermo Del Toro would later perfect in his own series the Strain. The Master seeks to fulfill an ancient prophecy that would open the Hellmouth (a portal to hell, exactly what it sounds like) and free him in order that he and his kind should conquer the world.
The first season is fairly short consisting of the following adventures.
1. Welcome to the Hellmouth - Buffy moves to Sunnydale seeking to leave her Vampire ways behind, but the vampires just won't let her catch a break.
2. The Harvest - Vampire Shenanigans continues. Buffy learns of the Master.
3. Witch - A fellow Cheerleader is possessed by her witchy mom.
4. Teachers Pet - Buffy vs Giant Mantis
5. Never Kill a Boy on the First Date - Buffy vs the Anointed One (Not Really)
6. The Pack - Buffy vs Hyena Possessed High School Bullies
7. Angel - Buffy vs Angel but actually Darla
8. I, Robot ... you, Jane - Buffy vs Internet Demon
9. The Puppet Show - Buffy and Sid the Dummy vs Organ Harvesting Demon
10. Nightmares - Buffy has bad dreams
11. Out of Mind, Out of Sight - Buffy vs Invisible Nerd
12. Prophecy Girl - Buffy vs The Master (also Buffy Dies)
Overall the short season, while not allowing for too much world building, kept the show to a format that allowed very little filler. So although we mostly only get vampires as villains, we don't have enough time to really be bored of it. Some of the shows dynamics and cultural concerns definitely date the series but overall Season 1 of Buffy is definitely not a difficult watch, and can be enjoyed over and over again.
Let's get to the Benediction:
Best Character: Slay Girl, Slay!
As far as season one goes the titular Buffy Summers is the best character. Sarah Michelle Gellar is absolutely charismatic in the lead role and though at times she may seem selfish or reckless it makes perfect sense for the character. The character is allowed to be weak, to be selfish, and to be unlikeable. She avoids the foibles of a Luke Skywalker or a Harry Potter. She joins the ranks of primary protagonists who are not constantly outshined by their supporting cast. I believe when Buffy is sad, I believe when she throws a punch, I believe she struggles with her destiny. The only thing I don't believe is how ditsy she let's on.
Best Actor: Head's Up!
Anthony Stewart Head. Head as Giles is just fantastic. His balance of frustration with Buffy and genuinely parental concern is heartwarming and absolutely makes Giles one of the warmest father figures in television history.
Best Episode: A 'Master'ful Finale
It all builds up to Prophecy Girl and for good reason. Television shows often have mini-finale's at the end of their first seasons because the teams behind the series are not sure they will have a chance to tell more of their story. For that reason you can see just the first season of most television series and feel like you've heard the whole deal. I wish this habit was kept up in other seasons as we wouldn't still be wondering what the hell happened to Joel at the end of the Santa Clarita Diet. Buffy is no exception to this phenomenon and therefor attempted to tie up much of it's narrative in Prophecy Girl. While that often means big bads will be dispatched, I think it's a small price to pay for not winding up in a cliff hanger. Buffy and Giles just shine in this episode, Angel is given a more heroic role, Willow finally values herself as she should and Xander stops being a fucking horrible human being for once. This episode really satisfies in all areas.
Best Villain: Sweet, Sweetheart Killer
It's such a shame that Darla was killed so early on in the franchise. She is such a great presence on the screen that she overshadows all the villains that play alongside her, even the Master. I would have loved to have seen an alternate season where she offs the old coot and assumes the role of big bad much like Spike does in Season 2. Lucky for everyone that Darla is featured throughout the show in flashbacks and I hear she is even resurrected in Angel. Also, for Scott Pilgrim fans I feel like she and Envy Adams are very much sympatico. Maybe if they reboot Buffy all my dreams will come true.
I'd also like to take this time to recommend the song Angels and Darlas by Say Hi! It's pretty good.
Best Monster Design: Internet Troll!
While I can't speak for where the money in Season 1 of Buffy went, I can say that at least some decent cash was spent on both the forms of Moloch the Corruptor from the Episode "I, Robot ... You, Jane". Moloch was pretty wicked looking as a machine toward the end of the episode, he looked like a Mortal Kombat villain, but it's the green scales and ram horns the actor is sporting at the beginning of the episode that really catches the eye. In fact, I'm feeling compelled to hunt down any Moloch the Corruptor merch that may be out there on the internet. It's certainly no mystery why the demon's face is featured prominently in the theme song. It just looks great! Good job to the make up department there.
Most WTF moment: "Pack"s a Punch on Principle
While not the greatest episode in season one "the Pack" is certainly worth the watch if for no other reason than the horror is kicked up when a group of high school students under the influence of a malevolent Hyena God, decide that the School Mascot is not enough to satisfy their bloodlust turn on the principal, and yes, THEY EAT HIM. I remember being completely caught of guard the first time I saw that scene, and it kickstarted the running gag of Sunnydale high principles meeting their demise in horrific ways.
Worst Character: No More Mr. Nice Guy
When I was in college I often felt bad for Xander. The funny guy who just had no luck with women. He was sarcastic but had a big heart, and used a horny gimmick to mask his loneliness, or so I thought. But now I am older, I am wiser, I have known the touch of another human being and I have to say that Xander Harris is a really scummy fellow. I don't remember thinking so poorly and I wonder if the character develops a more nuanced view of women as the show goes on. As it stands there's barely a point in the series that Xander does not view the female cast as objects for him to enjoy or be embittered towards for one reason or another. It's not charming, it's foul. Xander Harris of season one is absolutely a terrorist attack waiting to happen, if Buffy had happened today it would be much more concerning to see someone so embittered, horny, and entitled to womens time and energy as Xander Harris. Dude is one step away from pulling an Elliot Rogers. Calm down buddy and maybe actually listen to a woman and you may find you aren't as much of a 'nice guy' as you think.
Worst Episode(s): If you're not first ...
It's a toss up on this one. Season One of Buffy is actually so short and concise that the 'Monster of the Week' episodes will have to be up for grabs as the worst episode by default, but even they are pretty watchable and don't warrant the vitriol a "worst" dub usually entails. I'd say there is not a worst episode of season one, just some episodes that aren't as good as the rest. In that vain, take your pick from "Witch", "Out of Mind, Out of Sight", or "The Puppet Show". However, I'd be doing a disservice to those episodes not to mention that each one of them takes what could just be a basic Buffy Vs (insert Villain), and does something unique and interesting with the idea. The villain of "Witch" actually turns out to be a has been cheerleader actually possessing the body of her innocent daughter to relive her glory years, The Invisible Girl is actually the victim of social cruelty, her peers disinterest in her manifesting in her condition becoming quite literal and she is picked up by the military in the end, then the Puppet show, well, it's just about the stupidest most absurd thing that could possibly happen and it's completely unafraid of that fact.
Summary:
Buffy The Vampire Slayer (Season 1) is not the most groundbreaking TV, but it is absolutely evident why the show was such a phenomenon. Season 1 is particularly rewatchable. It does not demand too much investment or attention, but it will get it from you, especially on a first viewing. It's not afraid to take itself absolutely seriously or to plant it's tongue firmly in it's cheeks. It is to a degree a product of it's time, but in many other aspects feels timeless.
Overall Grade: B

A story based on All too well, by @taylorswift
I am not a native english speaker, so kindly forgive me if there are some mistakes.
It was the middle of the night, with refrigerator light glistening upon the uncovered glass table. He stood quietly, watching the last night train as it carried away the remnants of the screams and yells and the vacant struggle to keep our head above water. I clutched the scarlet bedcover, and sniffled. I was tired of crying my heart out for the last couple of hours. The cracks had already deepened and widened-and i couldn't believe that my heart was broken by the man I thought was gonna love me forever. He never said, "I love you." My friends said, "He is older, he wouldn't say that stuff of course." He never said. It would be Christmas soon. We wouldn't be decorating it together, like he had promised. He wouldn't be playing the carols on the piano like he had promised my Dad. I swore, this was the kind of love that would last, but alas, my dreams were a mere fairytale.
"Anne, you can stay here tonight. I m gonna sleep on the couch."
Realising that he wasn't the name scribbled on the back of my hand any more, I sprang up from the bed and said," Oh no, no, no! You don't have to take that pain any longer, Dan. I'm just gonna book a cab and return home."
"Well, Dad's not gonna like that..."
"My Dad, Dan. You don't have to worry. Look, I'm fine. All's well that ends well."
All of a sudden, his phone rang. My favourite Christmas song echoed around the sad, empty house. He looked at it, but didn't pick it up.
"Spam", he explained and turned around, running his fingers down the walls which still emanated the lavender perfume I gifted it him three weeks back. I admit, I used it more than him.
"Well, I guess you can change your ringtone, now. You never liked that song anyhow".
He didn't say anything else. I wanted to run to him and hug him, feel safe in his warm sweater again, just one last time, but I guess it was all over. The last leaf had fallen. His home felt like my own now. And it cut through my skin to leave the very place, where we kissed each other in front of the fireplace and danced through the hallway. I loved him enough to let him go, and it was gonna be the night, I would be wishing upon the stars in the sky to turn all of these instances into a horrible nightmare, but it was true that his honesty had stabbed my soul and let it freeze in the huge iceberg of a foregotten time in history.
I packed up my bag and walked out of the door. He said, he would drop me off, and apologise to my Dad. But I shrugged my hands off his fist and ran to the bus stop. He looked at me for a while and closed the door. He didn't remember I would be turning 21 just an hour later. He didn't remember his promise to make me taste the best champagne his friends and he used to drink back in college. But I remembered it "All too well".
What did he actually imagine me to be? A lovely little helpless princess, in his tough palm, which he would close, and hide me as a secret, whenever he was with his friends. I lost him, I missed the way he would drop my hands whenever I needed him to be by my side. They told him, she's just a needy little girl, but was I too hard to love? He told, I was too young, but not when I made him wear the paper rings I made for him. Or kissed his forehead every night before sleep. How could he blame it all on the thing he said would never tear us apart?
All my stacked up feelings started ricochetting. I got up on the bus and as it went past by Our house. I could see him, staring blankly into his laptop. The window was foggy, so all I could see was a mosaic. A man with a black cap, a grey sweater, and a checkered scarf around his neck. My scarf. I smiled a little, but I had to move on. I ran to the backseat to see him once again.
I never really wanted to get that scarf back again. Sometimes, some memories are treasured better by other people.

Sky Captains Log - 1/8/2021: What I wouldn't give.
https://open.spotify.com/track/3LsGauNTi31HJSynV45ez6?si=hiSMS3l8Q7-GySHfNa5Lgg
I’ve decided to start making my various entries into tumblr a little series. unfortunately this one is sad but I’m sure I got something positive up my sleeve eventually. But expect alot of sad cause honestly Sky Captains Log is just a fancy name for Journal and I’ve only ever written sad shit in journals.
So the items I ordered online came in recently and it was amazing. My new ocean light thing makes my room look amazing and I can’t wait to see what it’s like when it’s dark, my hair brush helped get my knots out and made my hair flair out and get all bouncy! and my trimmer finally got rid of my sideburns. It probably sounds really mundane but it did a lot to help today. It made me feel really happy.
But of course i had to go and ruin it. I’ve been listenting to the above song a lot today. Singing it while i’ve been roaming around the house and grinding in FFXII, and a rogue thought hit me. I should learn to play this on guitar. But before I could commit to that idea I thought about my guitar teacher again.
He doesn’t call me anymore. I can’t blame him either. I completely ghosted him in october of 2019 how could i expect him to call all that time? But I can’t shake the horrible feeling I get when I think about it.
I failed him, and it sucks. He had so many expectations and hopes and was so ready to help see me through to the bitter ends of musical knowledge and ability and I let it all go down the drain.
7 years of potential, of a built relationship of memories that I have utterly condemned to the annals of history to rot away forever with the near galaxies worth of other failures I’ve stored away over time.
I don’t blame myself for not taking his first call, or the one after that, or even the one after that one. I had just come out to my mom, I was not having a great time in my life and my entire existence had taken a huge turn and I couldn’t find the strength to do it all another time. I was afraid of rejection, embarrassment, and feigned acceptance. So I didn’t pick up the phone, and around November of 2020 he stopped trying to call me.
I don’t have the strength to call him. I just don’t have it.
Honestly I feel like I don’t have the strength to be myself in the real world either.
For me, being a girl is much easier done behind a screen. Behind a silhouette of anonymity. I feel like the people around me think I’m one more than I do sometimes and that’s a terrible feeling. It’s the feeling that single handily ruined today for me, and it’s a feeling that has ruined and will ruin a lot more.
I used to be okay with how I was. I would just tell myself that life is random and It’s not worth blaming chance for giving me the wrong body but goddamn it just isn’t enough anymore. It’s sad, and it hurts. The things I wouldn’t do to just have been born the way I wanted, what I wouldn’t give to not have to see someone that isn’t me in the mirror. What I wouldn’t give to not have to come out to people as trans.
What I wouldn’t give to not have destroyed 7 years of growth over my own fucking identity.
