Thinking about if ANY of the other decepticons (out of the ones we see and the ones we don't) actually decided to defect like Megatron did after the war
(and if GHOST might've decided "mnnn nope one decepticon running around base is enough" and decided to toss them in the GHOST dungeons regardless)

What if Starscream was competent when he later left the Decepticons?
Tumblr media
*Armada Starscream basically pulls a Dinobot and leaves the Decepticons for the Autobots (and Alexis) as fast as possible...
Tumblr media
*Animated Starscream still plants the bomb on Megatron that helps the Autobots win the battle, but Starscream is actually a surprisingly competent leader and helps the Decepticons conquer many worlds with Autobot Colonies.
When the Allspark eventually reactivates on Earth years later, Starscream brings Blitzwing, Lugnut and Blackarachnia with him to hunt it down; as a result Starscream doesn't confess to placing the bomb on Megatron.
Starscream kinda becomes the Main Villain of Season 1, while Megatron's head still works on trying to restore his body.
Starscream is also Bumblebee's nemesis.
When Megatron's head created Soundwave then Soundwave gets defeated by Bumblebee and Bulkhead, Soundwave finds and joins the Decepticons.
Despite Starscream not confessing, Megatron still had a feeling that Starscream still had something to do with his defeat... So, after Megatron's body was restored, he gives Soundwave permission to destroy Starscream, if he believes the commander is being traitorous.
Starscream find an Allspark Shard and places it on his head to create his clones, insisting to Megatron and Soundwave that they're to help the Decepticons.
Starscream hunts for the Allspark Shards like Megatron and Optimus do, but secrets keeps a few for himself.
He wants to use them against Megatron.
In the Season 2 Finale, Starscream's clones attack Soundwave, Blitzwing, Lugnut and Blackarachnia, while Starscream tries destroying Megatron.
The Decepticons get sucked through the spacebridge except for Srarscream, his clones, Soundwave and Blackarachnia.
Soundwave tries to somehow get Megatron back to Earth, while Starscream hunts for more Allspark Shards.
When the Autobots later get mind controlled by Soundwave, Sari and her father are forced to team up with Starscream and his clones.
Shortly after the team-up with Starscream and Sari, Slipstream (Starscream's female clone) stole almost all of the Autobots' Allspark Shards.
However, the Autobots managed to steal them all back before the finale.
Meanwhile, Blackarachnia focuses on her techno-organic science experiments.
In the Season 3 Finale, Starscream watches the final battle between Optimus and Megatron, deciding to attack whoever the victor is, after the battle weakened them.
Starscream loses his forehead shard to Prowl and Jazz, thus he and his clones are forced to escape.
But Starscream was smart enough to keep an Allspark Shard hidden in his jet seat and Starscream plans on using it to create a new kingdom for himself.
Starscream with his clones, Blackarachnia with her techno-organic creations and Soundwave all escape being captured by the Autobots in the end.
Tumblr media
*Prime Starscream still destroys Cliffjumper, Megatron still ends up in a coma and everything stays the same until Megatron wakes up.
After getting beaten up by Megatron again (despite taking care of Megatron's army for years alone, without the Autobots detecting them), Starscream decides that he might have leave the Decepticons soon before Megatron decides to destroy him.
Starscream stopped caring about the war and only cares about his own survival now; Starscream goes on solo missions to get extra energon for himselg and hides it in a place that not even Megatron or Soundwave could find it; Starscream also creates a remote that makes groundbridges anywhere he wants.
Starscream is also trying to find a way to destroy dark energon, to weaken Megatron (so he keeps a few shards with him, but he never uses it on himself).
Later Megatron finds out from Soundwave about Starscream hunting/stealing energon from caves for himself and tries to attack Starscream for it, but then Megatron sees the Autobots and attacks them.
Starscream escapes Megatron then finds Bulkhead (forced to hold on to a boulder) with Miko... Starscream is willing to make a deal with the Autobot; if Starscream gets Miko safely out of the caves, then Bulkhead owes Starscream a favor in the future.
And the favor could be energon or medical supplies or even important information.
At first Bulkhead refuses, but when Starscream points out that Miko is losing oxygen and the other Autobots might not make it in time... Bulkhead reluctantly says yes and promises to help Starscream (which the commander had recorded).
Starscream takes Miko out of the caves and places her in a tree, where Arcee then finds her.
Starscream is amused that Airachnid thinks that she can handle being Megatron's second in command and isn't bothered when she wants the job.
When Starscream leaves the Decepticons, he tells the Autobot about Bulkhead's favor; Starscream wants protection from the Decepticons, in exchange for saving Miko.
The Autobots take him as a prisoner (since he can't be trusted), but they treat him decently (except maybe Ratchet) and Starscream NEVER tells them about who truly destroyed Cliffjumper.
Starscream stays as their prisoner until the events of the Autobots trying to restore Optimus Prime's memory, with everyone distracted, Starscream escaped his cell and took half their energon to his special hiding place.
Starscream never loses his t-cog and he never makes the clones.
Starscream saves Arcee from Airachnid and he says he did it, so Arcee would have to spare his own life someday, since she has Autobot honor.
Eventually, Arcee learns from either Knockout or Breakdown or Soundwave that Starscream destroyed Cliffjumper... but she's forced to spare his life, since he saved her life as well as Miko's life and he could help her rescue Jack from the Decepticons.
Starscream gets captured by Soundwave in Season 3, with Ratchet.
They both kinda bond over how much they both hate Megatron.
Starscream then helps defeat Soundwave during the final battle.
When Megatron is finally defeated, Starscream escapes while everyone is still distracted.
Starscream makes a hidden life on Earth, since he isn't welcome on Cybertron anymore and the Autobots still want to imprison him.

Possible fic ideas for transformers
So like I have a few ideas for some docs I want to do so I am just gonna voice them here.
Most of these are Megop fic ideas so bare with me.
Megs Reincarnated
So like what if at some point in the war Megatron died but because he was on space crack he couldn’t join the allspark/well so Primus sent his spark to live again in the hopes that over time his spark would be purged overtime. Megs becomes a human woman and eventually meet Optimus. Hijinks ensues.
I also thought about doing a shattered glass version of this as well.
After Primasy
So what if Optimus met Megatron after he became a prime. This was inspired by two fic I saw on Ao3. I can’t remember what they were called but I will write the names when I can.
Miko Plays Cupid
After Miko gets captured by Megs she learns things about before the war but things don’t add up. After she is rescued and asks Op some things she realizes that there were some major misunderstandings that were and still are the cause of the continuing war. So she decided that the best way to resolve this was to play match maker. What could go wrong.
Can You Feel It Shockwave?
What if Shockwaves emotions canes back after an experiment gone wrong? I have a theory that shadowplay didn’t take away everything but left what emotion he had that was strongest, a sick and twisted form of curiosity and everything else was repressed. Then what happens when he gets them back? I plan for this to be very angsty. Can’t comfort them unless they’re broken right?
Twelve Kids, Twelve Primes
What if team prime had twelve kids to care for and through some kind of hijinks they found out that the kids were twelve reincarnated primes.
Some smaller fic ideas include
G1 bots finding out humans have valves/spikes
Bots finding out about car washes
Miko being a little troublemaker and adopting all the vehicons
Soundwave making a soundboard
Stabby by the roomba. Enough said.
Bots finding out about nuclear weapons and atom bombs.
Bots finding out humans can feel when you look at them.
Now if you want to use any of theses all I ask is that you tag or tell me so I can look over the counter as you use my fic recipes to create delicious fics that I will grab and consume like a feral animal.

Soundwave learning about the mech who didn't just steal Hot Rods art but dared to profit from the picture of his dead sparkling.
He immediately rushed to find Rodimus knowing he was having a hard time and needing to be with him.
The two of them end up cuddled together. Holding the picture of their sparkling as they traded memories. Discussing ways to make a memorial for their sparkling and the people of Nyon.
A Functionalist guard had been attacking a group of sparklings. When theirs got in the way wanting to protect their friends. The guard shoved them to the ground where they hit the edge of the curb and died on impact.
Soundwave had been enraged after. Grieving and wanting Cybertron to burn. That's when he decided to join the Decepticons. Wanting them to pay for what they did. He made the guard suffer for hurting his sparkling.
Without a doubt when Soudnwave finds out someone stole art of his sparkling he goes on a rampage and offlines the mech but only after torturing them.
He shows up to Rodimus place covered in life energon with his em field completely distraught and in disarray but only Rodimus can tell. He’s always been able to read soundwave and he knows what and how to look for his emotions behind what he’s projecting.
drift and ratchet are reasonably worried and a little afraid but Rodimus just walks right up to Soundwave and holds him.
They can’t see it but Rodimus knows Soundwave is crying behind the mask for the loss of their sparkling and the reminder that they’ll never have them back.
The two don’t know what to when Rodimus says he’ll be back.
He goes off with Soundwave holding the mech steady and they collapse in a nest that Rodimus makes. They hold each other, crying over the bitty they lost because of the functionalists and their cruelty.
Rodimus regrets not going with Soundwave and he regrets not helping him kill everyone involved. But soundwave could never fault him for doing nothing because thats all rodimus could do.
He didn’t eat. He didn’t sleep. He didn’t fuel or speak. He was just a shell of himself that held their sparklings teddy. He could barely bring himself to vent or online.
Rodimus did not do well and soundwave didn’t either.
They never hated or blamed each other and they never fell out of love..they simply went two different directions and it was too painful to come back.
“I should go..they’re probably worried,” Rodimus spoke. Soundwave shouldn’t ask him for more time not when Rodimus was with him for two days.
“Stay,” the words left before he could stop them. When it came to Rodimus he was always like this.
“…I can’t do that to them…”
“I should’ve taken you with me,” Soudnwave left him with the autobots so he could get the help he needed to live again. By the time he was better Megatron had become a tyrant and Soundwave didn’t want him in danger.
He doesn’t say anything because he knows it’s a betrayal if he does.
“Stay with Ravage and Megs for awhile, I’ll come check on you,” he can’t help smooth Soundwaves cheek and make sure all four of his optics were healthy. Sometimes two of them could become strained or lazy.
“Eat a little more too,” he couldn’t help himself, taking care of Soudnwave was like the stars hanging in the galaxy.
He felt a prick on his neck cable and felt embarrassed, “thanks,” he looked away smiling.
He’d forgotten his spark medicine.
“You still carry that around? Doesn’t it take up space?”
“I’ve always carried it with me. It could never be a waste,” he felt thin digits brush his neck cable and he stopped himself.
“I should go,” he kept his optics from meeting Soundwave, “we should meet again…maybe its time..maybe its time we made a place for them. For..for him and our friends..Krusher would love a scare popper for his memory,” that made Rodimus and Soundwave laugh. Krusher was a friend of Soudnwaves when he was a gladiator, the mech used to love scaring people and he loved when Rodimus made cookies.
“Lets,” Soundwave brushed a digit along Rodimus’s helm and the two stared at each other for a long until Rodimus looked away.
“I have to get back…thank you Soundwave. For everything.”
He didn’t let his em field reveal anything but he didn’t have to.
Soundwave already knew.
“I’m sorry I was gone so long we-”
He was wrapped in a tight hug from Drift and he felt Ratchet scanning him for injuries and lack of nutrients.
“Roddy! Are you okay?”
“Get yer aft on the chair now, you need fuel and you took yer meds late!”
Ratchet gripped him gently and brought him over to the chair where he sat him down and put a medical grade fuel in front of him.
“Sorry…I..we just..we didn’t do anything! I swear! We just…we’re gonna make a memory spot for them..all of them and our..for all of them.”
No matter how long its been, he still could never say it.
“Kid..it’s alright..everyone has a history..though we didn’t expect it to be that or with soundwave of all mechs. I mean seriously how do you go from his type to us?”
“Ratty!”
“What?! I can ask can’t i?”
That made Rodimus giggle and he covered his face before laughing. It was real and something like out of the past.
“Its fine Drift, I mean..you guys only know him from the war so he has a point,” his optics looked different and the two noticed. They noticed by the way he laughed. He’s never laughed like that before.
“So, you’re okay?”
Drift looked uncertain but there was something else in his optics that Rodimus couldn’t catch.
“Yeah, yeah I’m okay.”
“No ya aren’t. The tear tracks are still on ya face plate,” Ratchet sat down heavily beside him and Drift make a hissing noise at Ratchet making his finials flick but Rodimus just smiled.
“I will be,” he looked to the mug of energon, he didn’t want to fuel, he didn’t really want to do anything. But he didn’t want to scare them like that or fall into that hole again.
Ratchet held the mug up to his intake, optics concerned as he tried to soften them. Rodimus took the expression of love and drank the fuel. Taking the mug himself, he felt guilt eat away at him.
“..I-”
“Don’t kid..we know..its just like Drift with Wing and me with Optimus..we know.”
He..didn’t think of it that way.
“We know you didn’t do anything and we know you still love him. Its clear as day but..you still came home and you still picked us. We know you wouldn’t hurt us.”
“I’m so sorry,” he kept his optics closed to keep from crying.
Drift laid a hand on his and he looked his direction but not at him.
“We love you Roddy, always,” Drift didn’t stop touching him and Ratchet leaned just a little closer to him.
He smiled a little and nodded.
In the back of his mind he couldn’t help but feel it.
The distance he could forget so long as he avoided being besides someone so close.
Their reassurance and touch meant a lot to him it really did.
But he hated himself knowing deep down..it just wasn’t like soundwaves.

OMG YIPPY OPEN REQUEST!!! Hello, how are ya doing!!! I was wondering if I could ask/request for a cybertronian! Reader with four arms and they're like ancient cybertronian that was king/queen of the battlefield during war very VERY eons ago like when the first prime was made (prima) and they sooner became too overpowering and too strong with their power so they sealed up reader until they were unsealed by Megatron (Tfp/transformer prime) but reader switched teams and teamed up with the Autobots!! I hope this isn't too much...😭🙏🙏 I was wondering if you could make it as a scenario or one shot? Idk up to you because my mind is FILLED with ideas for your inbox👍
HELLO! I'm doing good thanks for asking!! OF COURSE YOU COULD!! THIS WAS INTERESTING TO WRITE
Prompt: ancient cybertronian!reader whos overpowered, sealed and was released by Megatron to join the Decepticons but joined Autobots instead
Warnings: no warnings, im using [y/n] in here
Notes: i made the reader being sealed somewhere on cybertron since they exist during the first prime, i hope you dont mind!! Anyways hope you enjoy this :D this is also a bit long geez-
Megatron made his way towards Cybertron again but not to revive an undead army. He was there to release someone from the time of the first prime, someone whos an overpowered warrior before being sealed. Soundwave had decoded a relic that tells them of this bot who was sealed due to being too overpowered, and Megatron has full intentions to make that bot join the Decepticon cause. Ironically none of them had ever heard of this bot until now, he basically has the upper hand if this bot decided to join the cause.
As Megatron arrived to place, he could see how old yet sturdy the seal was. He began to forcefully open the seal before finding out there lays a bot with four arms, a frame almost as big as Predaking. He slowly approached the figure, circling around them as he return to his original position. The bot's servos twitched as they slowly opened their optics before said optics was suddenly blown wide in shock. They quickly sat up and looked around before their gaze lands on Megatron. With optics filled with confusion, they began asking him some questions. "Where am I? What time is it? And more importantly, who are you?" They asked as they narrowed their optics, eons of slumber has rendered their sight a bit blurry.
"My designation is Megatron, the one who has freed you from this wretched seal. You are still in Cybertron, although it has gone dark here. What is your designation, great warrior?" Megatron asked. "I Thank you, Megatron. My designation is [y/n], and what do you mean by Cybertron went dark?" They questioned as they slowly stood up to their full height, towering over him by a bit. "During your slumber, there was war that a faction of bots has started, they are called the Autobots. So we made another faction, the Decepticons, to go against them and defend Cybertron. But because of the Autobot's reckless act, Cybertron is no more. Now the only surviving bots are refuging on Earth." He explained. [y/n] got suspicious, due to the fact theres the word 'deception' in their faction.
"If you are good, why are you called 'Decepticons'?" They asked. "It is because they wanted to villainize us, but instead we wear it like a badge of honor. We won't let that label bring us down. Now, I would like to ask you a favor as the leader of the Decepticons." Megatron said, slowly walking towards them as he stoped right in front of them. [y/n] blinked as they debated with themself before deciding to agree to hear about the favor first. "You will join our cause to defeat the Autobots, in return you will be well cared for in the Decepticons. You are an excellent warrior after all." He offered. They only silently ponder as they weight their choices. They dont have anyone else that they know of here, the only 'safer option' is to accept it. "I accept this offer." They said as they offer their servos for a handshake as the deal was made.
It already has been a few earth months after that day, they still remember it clearly. Months of observation has given them enough detail that they are at the wrong side of the war. Now they sat on their birth, looking at their Decepticon insignia as [y/n] creates a plan. A plan that will hopefully change their life for the better, they planned to somehow switch sides to be an Autobot. They planned to sneak during night time where the halls of the nemesis was not too crowded before making their way towards the flight deck, unfortunately this will be a bit difficult due to the fact that their 4 arms stood out.
Night has fallen on Earth and now they're executing their plan. Avoiding any vehicons and cameras in the hallway, they successfully arrived at the flight deck. Thankfully their alt-mode takes flight so they could escape easily. Now they had land somewhere deserted in Nevada, hoping that their signal would attract the autobots here. Fortunately it did, as Optimus himself along with Bumblebee and Bulkhead. "I would like to ask you a favor, prime. I would like to move to your faction as i've seen enough misdeeds done by the Decepticons." [y/n] said. Optimus was ready to accept when a few beeps from Bumblebee, assuming it was beeps of protest, made Optimus paused for awhile. After a bit more convincing to both the Autobots and the leader himself, they got accepted. Now they only need to worry if the others would willingly accept them right after they defect from the Decepticons.

What if TFP Autobot Starscream did the heroic sacrifice during the 2nd Season Finale + Megatron captures then brainwashes him! 💜 How would the Autobots + their allies react to seeing Starscream with all his memories ERASED and he’s CORRUPTED by Dark Energon + Megatron? 💜 How would Soundwave, Knockout, Breakdown, Shockwave and Predaking react to the Brainwashed, Corrupted Starscream? 💜
Well, here goes another sad story (TvT)… You like to make me cry X')… Thank you for your request lovely anon ^^!
~~~
Optimus refused to abandon Starscream, so he decided to form a plan to save the Seeker from the Decepticons, even if he had to put his life in danger to do so. His Spark warmed up as the Autobots followed him, ready to fight this battle.
The jet was now part of their family, and there was no question of abandoning him! Miko wanted to join them in the coming battle, but Jack eventually managed to convince her to let them. They shouldn't be a drag on the Autobots, especially now.
Ratchet manages to triangulate the Nemesis' position, with the help of Wheeljack. Now it was time to attack! They walked through the gate together, weapons drawn. Arcee was quick to strike a Vehicon that blocked her path, followed closely by the white Wrecker.
Smokescreen crossed the floor of the ship with the Phase Shifter, finding himself easily in the large corridors of the Nemesis. He was going to do everything possible to save Starscream.
Bumblebee stayed with Bulkhead and Optimus, destroying the Decepticon forces. Megatron was quick to arrive, and wasted no time in attacking the Prime, who parried the ex-gladiator's sword strike with the Star Saber.
Smokescreen continued to walk around the ship, when he faced a familiar figure nearby. He smiled broadly when he saw the Seeker, and went towards him, calling out to him, surprised but happy to see that the jet was free.
The flyer raised his wings, before slowly turning towards the recruit, who stopped when he faced Starscream's optics. There was no form of recognition from the Seeker, who wasted no time in drawing his claws. The racing car felt his body tense, and frowned, scared and confused.
Arcee and Wheeljack heard a scream, and rushed towards the source, after the motorbike swore it was the recruit's voice. Both froze when they found themselves face to face with Smokescreen on the ground, energon flowing over the cold Nemesis floor, and Starscream above him, claws coated in their friend's energon.
“What the frag got into you?! cried out the warrior. Have you gone crazy?!"
The Seeker gave the duo a somewhat disdainful look, before raising his arm towards them, and triggering one of his missiles.
~
Optimus continued his fight against Megatron, while Bulkhead and Bumblebee took care of the Vehicons and Insecticons troops. It got more and more complicated when the Predacon joined the party, but fortunately Ultra Magnus eventually arrived, having managed to convince Ratchet to let him go into battle.
Suddenly, a huge explosion was heard, blowing out one of the large doors leading inside the Nemesis. Bumblebee beeped in distress when he saw Arcee and Wheeljack lying on the ground, badly burned. He and Bulkhead froze when they saw a terribly familiar figure moving through the smoke.
Starscream flew out of the ash cloud in his robot mode, before aiming his second missile at the Autobots. Optimus quickly pushed Megatron away, then stood in front of the duo.
“Starscream! Stop! We are here to help you! I'm sorry we didn't come before! But, we are here now! We can go home!"
Prime held out his hand towards the Seeker, inviting him to join them, his eyes shining with hope. The jet tilted his head in confusion, not seeming to understand the Autobots leader's speech. Starscream started his missile's procedure, before asking:
“Who are you again?"
Optimus widened his optics in horror, before seeing the Seeker's eyes, and their disturbing purple. The Prime finally heard Megatron laugh, who moved closer to him, then said:
“He’s already home, he’s never considered you as anything other than enemies.
- …
- See what he did to your team. I don't think you're the type to bring an enemy back to your side, are you?"
For the first time in a long time, the leader of the Autobots felt anger rising within him. This burning and devastating anger that rose to rage, pushing the Spark to want to destroy everything.
Optimus rushed towards the ex-gladiator, Star Saber in hand, before being suddenly stopped by Starscream, who stepped in front of him. The Seeker unsheathed his claws, and hit the Prime's cheek full force, who recoiled in surprise. The leader of the Decepticons aimed his cannon at his foe, then sneered:
“I’ll give you one more chance to leave!”
Optimus clenched his fists, before Bumblebee called for a ground bridge. Everyone eventually passed through the portal, and Prime was the last. He gave one last look to Starscream, who gave him a simple confused look, not understanding the sadness in his enemy's optics.
~
The children were devastated after hearing the news. Miko clenched her fists in rage, before violently kicking the TV cabinet, which fell to the ground, its screen shattering in its fall. Jack said nothing, while Raf cried silently, being consoled by June. Ultra Magnus remained with Bumblebee and Bulkhead, in heavy silence.
Arcee, Smokescreen, and Wheeljack were in the med bay with Ratchet, silently repairing them. He knew he could repair most of their wounds, but not all of them… Spark's were irreparable… The doctor didn't say a word, remaining in a deep and heavy silence, hiding his sadness as best he could to be the support of the group.
Fowler saw Optimus leaving the base, and was quick to follow him. The Prime looked up at the starry sky above him, and did his best to hold back his tears, when he heard the agent call out to him. The leader of the Autobots turned to him and asked:
“What is it, Agent Fowler…?
- I just wanted to make sure you was okay.
- … Not really…
- …
- I wasn't quick enough, I didn't manage to save Starscream... My incompetence condemned him to a fate worse than death...
- You must not give up! I'm sure we'll find a way to save him! To free him from Megatron's control!
- … No…
- …! Optimus, you can't know if you haven't tried!
- I already know it's impossible… You can't free someone from the power of the Dark Energon…”
William said nothing more, and bowed his head in sorrow, while Optimus' shoulders sagged in defeat.
~
KnockOut repaired the injured Vehicons with Breakdown's help, and looked apprehensively at the medical door several times, as the fear of Starscream and Megatron coming tugged at his Spark. The doctor didn't want to see the Seeker, especially in this state...
It wasn't Starscream he had in front of him… just an empty shell that bore no resemblance to the jet. The Velocitronian would really have liked things to happen differently, that events were not the same... The ex-Wrecker put a comforting hand on the shoulder of his Sparkmate, who looked at him gratefully, before sighing sadly.
"It's about Starscream, isn't it?" easily guessed the big blue robot.
KnockOut didn't even nod, he didn't need to. He clenched his fists, before saying with sorrow:
“I should have let him die…”
~
Soundwave checked with the surveillance cameras that everything was in order in the ship, and greeted his leader and the Seeker when they passed by him. The Communications Commander was ashamed to admit it, but he was deeply disappointed in his friend...
The spy plane would never have thought him capable of doing such a thing... Starscream may have gotten lost with the Autobots, and indeed he had to be brought back to the good cause, but to the point to...
Soundwave didn't really want to think about it. He couldn't think about it, imagining the pain of the jet as he lost his memories and his will was too sparkbreaking. The Communications Commander began to doubt despite himself… he wondered in which direction they were going, if they weren't coming into total contradiction with the main objective of the cause. Originally, wasn't their fighting against slavery...?
~
Shockwave was really surprised at the effectiveness of the Dark Energon, he didn't expect such a result, it was a major scientific discovery, and he was somewhat surprised that Predaking didn't share his… how he could describe this emotion? Maybe it was enthusiasm, in any case, the Predacon didn't seem to agree with him.
The large fire-colored robot held the Dark Energon in horror, avoiding the room in which it was kept like Rust. He also avoided the Second-in-Command of the Decepticons who exuded the same energy.
Predaking didn't understand, he couldn't see the point, despite a passion shared with Shockwave about science. Wasn't this discipline originally supposed to help people? Why use it for such a bad reason as manipulating someone, depriving them of their person.
The Predacon thought about the fact that he would have to look in the files to see if there was a cure for Dark Energon. He didn't really know why, but he refused to leave this robot in this situation!
~
Starscream was alone in his room, unable to get out the strange feeling that he knew the robots he had seen, he was sure of it. The Seeker scowled, never able to think straight. The past was always something blur, the answers only coming from the stories his Master told him.
The jet faced the night, his room lit by moonbeams, while the Autobots leader's optics returned to his memory. He put a hand on his window pane, and faced his own reflection.
He still couldn't understand where this sadness was coming from in his Spark, which seemed to ring in harmony with the sorrow seen in his enemy's optics. The flyer closed his eyes, trying to concentrate on some semblance of memory, something that could help him...
Starscream saw unknown memories flash through his memory, robots he had seen, but should not know. He felt his Spark growing warmer every second, as he saw himself with the Autobots again, as part of their family. A voice in his head was screaming at him to wake up, to not give up.
The Seeker felt a sudden pain in his Spark, as a painful memory washed over him. He placed a hand against his chest, feeling something crawling inside like a parasite.
The jet ventilated with difficulty, and looked out the window. He had a start of surprise when he saw the color of his optics change from purple to red, before returning to their normal color. During this transition, Starscream had a sliver of memory. A name, a simple name that was the symbol of great hope in his Spark.
"Optimus."
Here’s some Dustwarp lore because why not:
Basically, dusty was a gladiator before the war, and gladiators were owned by richer mechs. Gladiators were treated very poorly and basically seen as animals, but to the public they were willing participants. Dustwarp and Soundwave were in the pits together and they became very close friends, seeking comfort from eachother in the nights.
Once the war began security around the pits was weakened. In the spur of the moment Dusty escaped the pits, sought out her owner who was nicknamed (jailer) and offlined him. The moment she had done it her anger faded and she was left with a sense of peace. Dusty sat with Jailer as he passed, she didn’t believe anyone should have to die alone.
Megatron found her with jailers body and decided to recruit her to the decepticons after already recruiting soundwave. Dusty agreed as she didn’t want to be separated from her only friend.
The war progressed and eventually they were on earth. Dusty, soundwave, and knockout all became close friends, however megatron found dustwarp to be a threat to soundwaves loyalty (jelousy much).
He didn’t want to offline her because he knew that would cause soundwave to rebel, instead he made knockout take out her voicebox as a punishment to both of them (threatening to offline her if he didn’t).
This was an empty threat but knockout didn’t know this and preformed the procedure. After the surgery dusty was afraid of knockout and sought refuge with soundwave for weeks.
During this time her mental health deteriorated and she became a shell of who she once was. She decided she didn’t want to be a decepticon anymore and begged soundwave to come join the autobots with her, but he refused.
Dusty left alone anyway and joined the autobots. She quickly became amalgamated into the group and adopted ratchet as a father figure, however she never truly felt at home.
Soundwave regretted not joining her and his regret slowly turned to anger towards her as he started to believe she abandoned him.
Knockouts guilt overpowered him and he took dusty’s vox that he had kept all these years since and brought it back to her, wanting to join the autobots.
Dusty was overjoyed to have her voice back and quickly rekindled her friendship with knockout.
Not long after the final battle against megatron came. While roaming the halls of the Nemisis Dusty came across soundwave.
In her excitement over seeing him again she rushed over to talk to him. Soundwave, still angry over the image he had made of her in his head, shot her on sight.
Soundwave immediately regretted this and sat with her apologising profusely. Dusty forgave him and cried in his arms as she passed.
Knockout had grown concerned when dusty hadn’t updated him an a long while. He searched the halls for her and eventually found soundwave on the floor cradling her body.
In a fit of rage, knockout attacked soundwave but soundwave was much stronger and eventually offlined him too.
Soundwave was absolutely distraught and sat crying with their bodies till the kids came and trapped him in the shadowzone, where he lives with his greif for eternity.
When you've been looking at a piece of writing for so long that you're not sure it makes sense any more.
I've just dropped it into the middle of the action, so ..... my question is does it make sense?
direct and descriptive descriptions of SEX … therefore,
minors dni
Title: You Got Caught Summary: I've read many a Starscream x Reader fic where there is a moment of panic that your secret fling will get found out, but not nearly enough Actually Getting Found Out
The fic:
(this space reserved for a possible additional intro paragraph in case 90% of people who read this come back with "wow what's with the jarring start? i don't understand att all what's going on here")
Covering your face from humiliation, you begged again. "Soundwave, please, we get the point!"
Beside you, Starscream sputtered and stammered, trying to form a sentence. It wasn't always possible to tell what he was thinking, but sometimes you could. You wanted to look, you really, really wanted to look at him, but you weren't ready to come out from behind your hands yet.
You heard him sigh in defeat and announce dramatically, "All right, you figured it out.
The fool is in love with me."
---and all at once your head filled up with racing thoughts. Soundwave had stopped playing the audio (presumably only because Megatron had nodded to him) and you weren't sure how long the recording was. So that …part… a few minutes after, when you had finished and Starscream had finished, did not play, that point in time when Starscream had released from out of himself three things:
1, a whole load of fluid from his spike in and around a certain orifice of yours;
2, a ferocious and desperate scream that made you wonder if that's how he got his nickname "screamer";
and 3, after a couple of seconds, and when he flopped onto his back venting heavily, a hoarse and unrestrained "I love you"
///"the fool is in love with me" Yes, you were, and he said that he was in love with you, but now you were doubting that.
He was saying a lot of other things in his monologue to Megatron while you were off in memory land. The unnatural pausing and tripping over his words, however, flipped your overthinking brain upside down. Did anyone else notice the tiny little pause before he said "Lord Megatron", the way he did whenever he lied? Were you imagining things? But he was bringing stories out of him so quickly that there was no way he could be inventing them on the spot…
Whatever the case, he was clearly flustered from hearing the recording, underneath all his words. At least you were having this little Moment together and he was just as horrified as you were right now. You decided that it didn't matter to you whether he was telling lies or the truth, because you were both, in that moment, wanting a hole to open up beneath you and to fall from the orbiting Nemesis, and burn up into unuseable scrap on the way down to that stupid earth planet.
The aformentioned monologue went like this:
"The fool is in love with me! So, I thought, what's the harm in taking advantage of that and using a little POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT to get them to join our cause - your cause. But now you've revealed it, so not only is it not going to work any more, but we are going to be prevented from all future manipulation attempts because of this little secret-reveal party!"
Your hands had left your face and you were now staring directly at the seeker beside you, who was pointing at you but not looking at you.
The betrayal hit you hard, but somehow you wanted to kiss him as much as you wanted to smack him. But you forced it to stay inside, because you weren't sure which one would happen and anyway you didn't want to do anything, not with Megatron watching you both with such intensity.
was this a test? if so, who was he testing? was it a contest between you and strarscream, with one winner and one loser? starscream certainly seemed to think so, or was he just desperate not to lose against megatron as always
He managed to calm down from near hyperventilation and dismissively waved away the topic with his hand.
"Am I dismissed now, Lord Megatron? There are things I've been working on, plans that haven't been ruined, that require my attention."
Having been silent this whole time, Megatron suddenly boomed, "Your attention goes where I say it goes!" his meaning carrying the weight of a table being flipped with no warning.
And your will to shoot starscream went away when you saw him get physically smaller as he squeaked his reply. ("Of course, my liege") and chuckled, but not a happy chuckle.
(the end of the idea, but not of the chapter)
In the Soundwave timeline, how's he gonna take over the world? He and Laserbeak have a groundbridge and some Cybertronian ship, but will that be enough to stop Optimus and Megatron from protecting humanity? Marley and Paradise are working well together so far, especially with Calvi out of the picture and Willy befriending Optimus, so they have a huge advantage over Soundwave.
Part 8: Willy and Lara feelings about Megatron
Soundwave still has Pieck, and I stated before that he will use the technology he's gathered along with using that technology to create a groundbridge (so he's going to be sending people into the Shadowzone), a ship of his own, and Lazerbeak.
But just for fun, I'll throw in Hizuru as Soundwave blackmailing the continent. (In this timeline, Hizuru and Paradis have not made contact.)
With Soundwave's expert spying, he realizes that Marley and Paradis has joined forces, and knowing that will cause a derailment in his plans, needs extra support and fast. He went after the Middle Eastern Alliance and stole their technology because they were the ones who actively stood a chance against Marley's forces. They had the best technology, but because of his interference, the Middle Eastern Alliance are now turning on each other.
(He watches the shit go down as entertainment while Pieck is just mortified at it all.)
So Soundwave knows that he's going to need a temporary army until he can finish his machine to contact the Decepticons. Through his spying, he finds out about Hizuru shady deals and military advancements and decides that they are the best route.
He waits, spies on the locals, finds out more information about Ambassador Kiyomi, the Azumabito Clan, the Hizuru Royal Family, and the country's disdain for the royal family. He learns that the current one was placed there during the loss of the actual heir and the fall of the Eldian Empire. Taisho's father was despised, Taisho himself is hated, Kenshin is considered neutral, but...they all seem to adore Katsuko, the Emperor's wife.
So some OC background that I wanted to divulge in for Taisho and Katsuko since I have talked about Kenshin in the past. Taisho was around during the height of the Marleyan Empire and the scorn and ridicule of the Hizuru Empire. His father became corrupt due to his own dealings to try and get rich, instead of valuing the future of Hizuru. Taisho had constantly witnessed uncertainty, death threats, assault, everything. The only friend he had was Kiyomi, since she was already part of the Azumabito clan. Taisho and his father's relationship was terrible, abusive even. Taisho's only desire is just to survive in this ever changing world.
The only time Taisho was willing to risk it all and throw the crown away himself was because of Katsuko. Katsuko was definitely a low ranking member of society, but she is exceptionally brilliant and deeply compassionate to those around her. She fought tooth and nail to try and learn everything she could for a woman of her time and do her best to hold herself to a higher standard despite her status. One thing leads to another, and she and Taisho meet for the first time, and then continue to meet in secret.
And Taisho...feels safe with her. Initially, he thought she was there for an ulterior motive, but Katsuko never abused her knowledge of his identity or tried to take advantage of him like so many others. Taisho falls and he falls hard. People see Katsuko and Taisho together, and they don't like Taisho, but they adore Katsuko because of her kindness throughout the capital. Taisho's father does find out about this and immediately tries to destroy the relationship, but Taisho finds out and immediately threatens him: if he so much as lays a finger on her, he will never see Taisho again.
Taisho's father still tries, but the public love Katsuko, and his partners do see a benefit in gaining public approval. The father still disapproves, tries to make Katsuko's life in the temple a living hell. But Katsuko's been through worse and just keeps her head held high. This only furthers the kingdom's resentment of Taisho's father. Kiyomi ends up finding out about the father's attempt to downright assassinate Katsuko and stages a quiet coup. Using the diplomatic skills she's been training for, she convinces the other council members of the importance of removing the father and putting Taisho on the thrown immediately for the ultimate future of this nation. Most of them agree, since they've noticed his behavior is out of control. One day, Taisho discovers that his father died in his sleep. But Taisho's not stupid. His father was in perfect health and would've lived a long life with all the luxuries he had. Someone caused his death, and he had a gut feeling who.
"Do you resent me for it?" Kiyomi asked him that night.
Taisho crossed his arms and sighed. "You know how my father was. His love was only for money. Not for his country, not for his dead wife, not even me. I don't resent you for it, Kiyomi. You made a call to protect this nation. You'll make a good ambassador."
"I could turn on you, one day," Kiyomi warned, "If you do something that will ultimately destroy our nation."
"...I'm in your debt," Taisho declared, "If you decide I'm unfit to rule, do what you must."
Taisho doesn't shed tears as they bury his father, and he is made the new emperor without any objections. Katsuko asks him if he's alright, and...Taisho admits that he's terrified. He now has all this power, and he's afraid of who he'll become now that he has it. He doesn't want to be like his father. And Katsuko reminds him that he has the power to be whoever he wants to be. Taisho could have bent to his father's will, but never did so. That was more than enough proof that Taisho was better than him. Taisho is moved and downright asks Katsuko to marry her in that moment, if she doesn't hate him or what his father put her through. Katsuko laughs and says yes.
Now back to the main story. Soundwave knows about Katsuko's favoritism among the public, and decides she's the best way to get the army that he wants. So he kidnaps her, and forces Taisho's to give him an army or else she dies. Taisho's in a tight spot, the council and the public are in terror and disarray. Taisho can't let his wife die, but he now realizes that all the odd occurrences happening in other countries are happening because of Soundwave. Soundwave is the one causing them trouble. And Taisho makes a very calculated risk without knowing much about Soundwave. He tells Kiyomi and Kenshin to run and get help while he bent to Soundwave's command. Kiyomi understands the situation, but Kenshin is terrified and angry, lashing out at his father and calling him a coward!
"You're just going to let mom die?!" Kenshin demanded.
"I am buying my time!" Taisho declared in anger, "We don't have many options! That being has been dismantling governments in the shadows! If we are not careful, Hizuru is next!"
"Mom is our best chance at swaying the public-!"
"As long as she is in his clutches, I cannot take that risk and let her die!" Taisho yelled, "I am not going to lose your mother without a fight! You know that we are limited in options! You and Kiyomi getting help is our best chance at survival! So listen to your father for once and go with your aunt!"
"...Dad...I'm scared," Kenshin confessed, tears forming in his eyes.
Taisho felt his lips tremble before placing his hands on his son's cheeks. "My stubborn and prideful child, that is natural. This is not something we prepared for...In the event of my death and the death of the Empress, you will be crowned the next Emperor of Hizuru."
"Don't you fucking say that!" Kenshin yelled.
"You are the pride and the future of this nation," Taisho declared, "And I have never been more proud to call you my own."
Taisho wants to say that he's sorry for not being the best father and letting their relationship get so strained, but there's not enough time. Kiyomi and Kenshin need to go. Father and Son say their emotional goodbyes, and Taisho does his best to wipe his tears as Kiyomi and Kenshin flee to get help.
(More OC centric, but I've been meaning to talk about them.)
Ok, here are the oc gushes :))
So in my own personal continuity, (basically just mtmte w/ small changes) the two main ocs I wanna talk about are Sun-Skid, and Beacon.
——————————
We’ll start w/ Beacon, and her journey to becoming Sapientius Prime.
Beacon was forged cold, and with the unique ability to create pulsating vibrations through the palms of her servos, ( think Tfe Soundwave), while she did originally work as a miner, She eventually found herself in The Academy, where she learned to hone her skills more .
The decepticon rise only started a few years after she graduated, and joined the Iacon police force. In her mind, having been granted an easy way out from being a slave, she owed it to the decepticons, and immediately and wholeheartedly joined the cause.
She loved it, and the sense of community and passion, somthing she yearned for sense her Academy years.
At multiple points in her life as a police officer, she even met Megatron, She was charmed by his passion, and he was charmed by her upbringing, skill set, and prowess as an Officer. It soon became clear that having a bot with her ideology and skills is what the cause needed, so when Megatron gave the decepticons the order to attack, Having Beacon default from her job would be first on the list, she had connections, intimidation, and skill, which is mostly what made Megatron insist on making her a Commander. She was happy, for a long time, the cause meant the world to her, but it wasn’t till 2.3 THOUSAND, years after she had joined, that everything came crashing down for her. She, like any other decepticon grew so desensitized to what they were doing, didn’t notice the change from riots, to war. And suddenly, the dust in the water settled, and she saw clearly, when she had to witness the Public execution, of a handful of her former fellow officers, bots she knew for the best years of her life. She was crushed, Everything she ever knew came falling down around her like pillars of salt. And the worst part? She decided that day, That no one, would ever get to hurt the good people of this world.
And so she left, She left with her badge on her palms, intact, and there it would stay, As she joined the Autobots. Before joining, she had a talk with the former Officer she served with, Orion Pax, but at the time, Optimus Prime.
She told it to him blankly, and bluntly. She was never going to revoke the Decepticon cause, ever, but she was never going to be a mindless drone ever again, She would join, and keep her badges, And forget she had ever even spoken to Megatron, forget she looked up to him, and forget they ever used to be casuals.
Prime was incredibly hesitant, She was still a decepticon, and a passionate one. But when she told him (very bluntly) that she would,
“Never, not even on my deathbed, pledge my allegiance to Megatron and his crusades”
But when Prime looked into her visor, his harsh gaze softened, She was telling the truth, even if she would never call herself a true autobot, she had more pride, and passion for their cause than even some of his closest confidants. That was one of the first things made him wonder..
The war traveled on as per canon to IDW’s Mtmte, with the exception of Beacon being an autobot commander.
It wasn’t till when Optimus prime retired his name as prime, That the Matrix of Leadership was suddenly thrown into the servos of, yep, Beacon. To say she was shocked would be an understatement, she was angry even, going as far as to get into a full blown argument with Orion, She didn’t want this; she wanted her life to go back to what it was before the war, but most importantly, she wanted someone to follow, all her life she followed someone, wether it be her fellow students, Officers, or even Megatron. She wasn’t ready to be looked up to, but it had been decided, she was a prime now, and there was nothing she could do to stop what Orion called “Fate”
And so she became Sapientius Prime, A figurehead, and leader. She took care of Cybertron, and though she didn’t like Starscream, she great-fully took his help.
Sapientius never did find herself fully, She rules for an indefinite time, but out of all her life, out of all the days she lived, and fought, her hardest day, and the hardest thing she ever did to date, was Judge Megatrons trial. it was mostly a blur of anger, sadness, overwhelming grief, and for the first time in decades, Fear. When Megatron stepped into the Arena on Luna 2(I think), she felt fear, deep in her spark, And it only grew, as she held her cover of disinterest, She was afraid, not only of Megatron himself, but afraid of the verdict she had to give him. On bail, till the Knights of Cybertron were found, indefinite freedom.
Sapientius goes on to live a long and successful life, and she still shows promise as a prime.
But deep her her spark she knows, she will forever and always be,
a Decepticon.
———————————
RAIGH I HOPE YOU LIKE HEARINF ABOUT MY OCS, SUNNY WILL HAVE TO COME LATER LMAO I DIDNT ANTICIPATE BEACONS BEING SO LONG 💀💀💀, anyways, thanks for listening to my rants! (I have a fuckinf lot to cover with Sun-Skid, so she’s definitely gonna be seperate)
Hope u enjoyed! Bye for now :)
-Shell
OOOOOOOOOOOHH I like that so far she doesn’t really have like a resolved ending yet. I especially like the part where she has to face like the demons of her past- honestly I think I relate to beacon a little too much JSDGYSSHSV
I wanna know their alt mode!!! Any art of them? Aushsgusd I’m kinda gushing over her now
The Winning Team
Just a bit of semi-nonsense to link my last fic to the next one. I think an amount of inspiration came from @justawannabearchaeologist's "TFP Wheeljack in TFA" series, and I'm definitely indebted to @blueskyscribeupdates' With a Side of Rust; both are highly recommended. (There's also a good chance one concept in here was half-inched from @itsstrangelypermanent's medical logs (also highly recommended, if you're a fan of The Clone Wars).)
---
Knock Out wasn’t sure he’d ever quite understand the Autobots.
Yes, he’d read the Autobot Code, or rather the cheat-sheet Glitch had put together for him (reminding him almost painfully of similar documents that used to circulate among his fellow students while he was in training, so many aeons before, as well it might; the other medic was barely out of training herself), and he’d done his research back at the beginning of the war, when deciding which side to fight for, although he now realised that his sources had been more than a little biased. And, of course, he’d seen Team Prime in action many times. But none of that had prepared him for actually living side by side with them, day after day, accepted in a way he had never really thought possible. He was, however, coming to understand what made them different from the Decepticons – and, perhaps, why they had beaten the odds and won the war.
For one thing, while the Decepticons had had numerical superiority, especially after the Exodus, most of that was because of their standing army of faceless, nameless Vehicons, who were never allowed to be anything other than instruments of Megatron’s will. Big M had only permitted independence or creativity among his High Command, who fought amongst themselves like so many cyber-cats. Knock Out’s status as CMO had never been in real danger once he’d reached that position, and he’d always been very insistent that he and Breakdown were a package deal, but he had still had to battle for scraps of respect with the rest of the officer corps. Dreadwing had been the only one he’d had any time for, besides his partner; the demolitions expert had generally been polite and respectful, keeping himself to himself, and his sense of honour had been a reminder that the Decepticons were, or should be, more than merely conquerors. As for the others… Starscream was treacherous, devious and rude, Soundwave was just plain creepy, Airachnid was unsettling and untrustworthy even before she went rogue again (killing Breakdown in the process) and Shockwave was bossy and infuriatingly single-minded. Knock Out did not miss that nest of serpents.
By contrast, while the Autobots might bicker, tease each other or disagree loudly over technical matters, there was always a strong sense that they respected and cared about each other. He’d seen them risk their sparks for one another in combat many times, of course, but there was something different about watching them interact away from the battlefield. Observing fierce Arcee’s close bond with gentler Bumblebee, and her constant, friendly back-and-forth with eager young Smokescreen, or the notorious Wrecker Wheeljack debating some scientific issue with Glitch, the wide-eyed little medic (who, Knock Out knew all too well, wasn’t anywhere near as defenceless as she might seem). They varied in everything from frame type and paint colour to universe of origin, but they were united by more than just a common cause and a common code. They were joined by something else, something he couldn’t name with certainty (but was more and more tempted to identify as love).
And, bizarrely, they seemed to extend that whatever-it-was to him. When he’d originally tried to switch sides, and again when he turned on Starscream, deep down he’d expected to be treated only as an asset, to be valued for his skills more than anything else. To be kept at arm’s length. But Bumblebee had treated him as part of the team from the start, and his fellow sports cars, Wheeljack and even Smokescreen (despite their history), had followed his example pretty quickly. Glitch seemed incapable of not befriending him, and had appointed herself his guide and protector during the first few weeks after Unicron’s defeat; apparently she had experience of such situations. Ultra Magnus… who knew what he was thinking? But by the time he’d recovered from severe Predacon-related injuries, he’d resigned himself to Knock Out’s presence, at least. Arcee, too, wasn’t always easy to read; she’d kept her distance at first, and when she finally cornered him he’d braced himself for the worst, knowing she was spectacularly good at holding grudges. Instead, though, she’d only wanted to tell him that she had also lost a partner to Airachnid (and another to Starscream, he knew but didn’t say), and if he ever wanted to talk… He hadn’t, yet, but he hadn’t rejected the offer outright, either.
Other than Ratchet (who was a whole other cube of Energon), the only partial holdout was Bulkhead, who had taken a while to separate Knock Out from Breakdown, his long-term rival, in his head. Mercifully, the Wrecker had kept himself busy, running the reconstruction of Cybertron, and interacted with the medic as little as possible. He’d been at Breakdown’s funeral, though. They all had.
That had been part of Glitch’s campaign to make sure all those who had fallen in the war, of any faction, were honoured and remembered. She had, for example, taken it upon herself to organise individual graves for the Vehicons killed in the battle for the Omega Lock or by Predaking, marked in ways that would mean something to each ‘bot. As such information wasn’t recorded, she had had to get it from the survivors; seeing that she was becoming overwhelmed, not by the logistics of her task but by the amount of social interaction involved, he had quietly stepped in to help. It was what Breakdown would have done.
“Why does this matter so much to you?” he had once asked to break the monotony of their datawork.
“It’s the right thing to do.” The simple, direct answer he should have expected from any Autobot, but not her only answer. “And…” He had waited for her to line her thoughts up, surprised by how easy and natural that had become. “This didn’t happen, in my universe. The Autobots won the Great War and forced the Decepticons into exile without even trying to be reconciled. Whole generations were raised to fear and hate an enemy that still hated us. For example, out of the six people in my boot-camp squad, three wanted to join the Elite Guard and kick Decepticon skidplate; a fourth said he did, but we found out much later that he was a Decepticon. And I specifically wanted to be a combat medic. It’s hardly surprising that war broke out again just two million stellar-cycles later.” She had forced herself to meet his eyes, and he had seen both steely determination and fiery compassion in hers. “That won’t happen here, not if I can help it.” He had believed her, and still did.
Obviously, they couldn’t hold individual funerals for every Vehicon, but Breakdown had merited one – quite possibly as a favour to Knock Out, although nobody said so in so many words. In preparation, the two medics (Ratchet had returned to Earth by that point, though he turned up for the funeral itself) had removed the organic contamination (sorry, Silas) from Breakdown’s body, which had been kept in cryostasis until then, and repaired it as best they could. They had made a remarkably good team; while Knock Out was by far the superior surgeon, Glitch knew more about organic biology than he would ever care to learn, and her tiny hands were better suited to such fiddly work. When Breakdown was finally laid to rest, at the top of a hill a comfortable distance from Iacon, he looked as though he had just powered down for a while.
Knock Out had managed to stay composed for almost all the short ceremony, even leading the time-honoured prayers for the dead without hesitation, as he felt Breakdown would have wanted. Only the music had broken through that composure. Somehow, from scraps of information he had let slip and whatever the Vehicons and Bulkhead might have told her, Glitch had crafted a near-perfect musical portrait of his partner, capturing not just his great strength, physical and emotional, and his ceaseless devotion to his friends and their cause, but the fierce joy he had found in all of life – especially battle – and his surprising kindness towards and affection for ‘bots most people regarded as mere drones. Knock Out had had to slip away and just be by himself for a while, finally allowing himself to grieve properly, in a way that hadn’t been possible before.
The others had given him space to do so, just as they had – usually – given him space to adjust in the beginning, letting him acclimatise at his own pace. Though Smokescreen had kept trying to challenge him to races until Arcee and Glitch told him, very firmly, to back off unless Knock Out himself also wanted to race, and Glitch had not just persuaded him to join in with their regular movie nights, but actually sat on him for the first one to make sure he didn’t sneak off mid-film. The musical romantic comedy he’d found himself watching wasn’t his usual choice, but it had been quite entertaining, despite the facts that the plot – something about a young human femme about to get bonded wanting to know which of three males was her co-creator – was pretty thin (apparently that was standard for the genre; plots were just there to join the songs together) and he didn’t get all the jokes. (He gave up asking Glitch to explain them after her face turned a very peculiar colour and she declined to answer his first question; the answer probably had something to do with… interfacing, and he did not want to know about that.) Maybe he should be expanding his knowledge of human culture a little…
Less forcefully, his young colleague had also invited him, soon after Ultra Magnus was discharged from med-bay and just before Ratchet moved back to Earth, to play in a medics-versus-Wreckers lobbing match – “it won’t be too strenuous; Ratchet’ll strip all our paint, including his own, if Magnus overdoes it” – and, for reasons he still couldn’t fathom, he’d accepted. That, too, had been surprisingly enjoyable, even worth the damage to his finish – just about. Especially once he’d established that while the use of mods, tools and weapons was forbidden (a necessary precaution when one of the players had both built-in electromagnets and a competitive streak a hic wide), there was no rule against simply picking up one’s smaller teammate so she could pass to a taller teammate more easily. The Wreckers had still won, but as Knock Out polished away a fresh set of scratches (Glitch giving him a hand with the hard-to-reach ones) he’d realised he didn’t mind. Much.
Stars, the Autobots – the other Autobots? – were rubbing off on him. Particularly a certain bronze two-wheeler from another reality. From a professional standpoint, he found Glitch fascinating. Her relatively simple design looked more like a robotic version of something organic compared to, say, his more complex root mode, but her language use was far more mechanical, as though to compensate for that. The way she transformed was simpler, too; she just seemed to fold up or unfold, whole limbs and torso joining together or splitting apart, in contrast to the more drastic rearrangements with which he was familiar. Her system was more circuitry-based than his, and accepted a wider range of fuels – while her universe’s Energon was best, she could live quite easily on Earth fossil fuels, or process Synth-En without apparent adverse effects, although Dark Energon was even more detrimental to her than to ‘bots of his reality. All in all, she was quite something, and there were times he was tempted to have a closer look at her biology – via dissection.
But, as well as breaking the Autobot Code he was dutifully trying to live by (for the most part), that would deprive him of the pleasure of her company, of a talented if inexperienced colleague, and of an equally fascinating personality. She was a bundle of contradictions on legs or tyres – a ferocious fighter who wouldn’t harm even an insect that wasn’t a threat to anyone, an open, honest femme who had tried to match wits with Starscream (with some success), a team player and a one-‘bot squad. Cautious to the point of paranoia one cycle (apparently the “isomorphic lock” she had told Starscream she’d installed in the Justice wasn’t a bluff, but reverse-engineered from her own ship back in her universe); bold, almost reckless the next, flying a warship as though it were a light cruiser and pulling off manoeuvres no classically trained pilot would even consider. Starting a conversation with a stranger scared her more than facing Unicron did. She did her best to mediate between Knock Out and Ratchet when they argued – which had happened a lot while the older medic was still in residence; the med-bay wasn’t big enough for both of them, however hard they tried to respect each other – but freaked out or lost her temper when someone disturbed her carefully arranged equipment. (As apparently distinct from the equipment that could, and did, go anywhere. And was he really supposed to know all her filing systems?) Her shapeshifting character baffled him as much as it intrigued him.
Just as he was baffled and intrigued by the rest of Team Prime. For a start, now that Big O was gone, there didn’t seem to be much in the way of a chain of command. Ultra Magnus was technically Optimus’ SIC, but even when he was back to full functionality Bumblebee still seemed to be in charge, while Magnus only advised him as necessary. Discounting the Wreckers, who treated orders as suggestions at the best of times (especially Wheeljack), and the medics, who could pull rank on anyone given sufficient cause, Arcee was probably next in command, outranking Smokescreen on length-of-service grounds, but it was hard to tell. Compared to the Decepticons’ rigid hierarchy, their organisation was utter chaos, but it worked. Somehow.
Maybe that was one of the secrets of their success. Megatron had founded the Decepticons to tear down the caste system, but replaced it with another kind of oppression, where upper-class ‘bots fought each other for the approval of a single leader, and most of the work was done by lower-class “drones” who didn’t even have names. Optimus, by all accounts, had valued and cared for every one of his Autobots, no matter their station, for their individual gifts and just for themselves, a concept Knock Out struggled to get his head around. Under his leadership, a former construction ‘bot had as much of a say as an ex-high-caste one; he’d even listen to humans. Megatron had preached about change, but Optimus actually delivered it, and his followers fought to defend it, him and each other, far harder than any Vehicon who no longer had any choice about anything. It would, however, be interesting to see whether Optimus’ vision persisted as refugees of both factions and none returned to Cybertron, or whether the old corruption would return with them.
One thing was for certain; Team Prime wouldn’t let their late leader’s legacy be destroyed, not without a fight. And Knock Out was increasingly sure he would stand with them in that battle. Even if he still didn’t quite understand them. He wouldn’t just choose the winning team, not any longer; he’d stick with the team that had accepted him, and do his best to help them win.
Day 4 is for fluff! Today on the agenda fluffy bfs from the aligned continuity! You guys made those my most popular posts of 2021 so here's more fluff to thank you. Hope you like!
Wavewave Week- Day 4 Understanding (TFP/RiD) Set after the events of 'Unexpected Outcome' and 'First Anniversary'
It was always the same nightmare. A barren mirror wasteland where he could see and hear everything that happened on the real world but he could not intervine. He was there for the battles and defeats suffered after his imprisonment. He was there when their former leader fell and he was there as the few survivors escaped. After that he could do nothing else but sleep and wait. Without Megatron, without the cause, he had nothing left to live for.
Soundwave awoke with a gasp. The nightmare always ended when he escaped the Shadowzone but the events afterward were not pleasant either. Having to run and plot to bring back a long lost friend that turned his back on him was exhausting, in the end he failed and would've been taken captive if he hadn't managed to escape and find refuge here with Shockwave.
The purple mech was recharging by his side. He always looked peaceful as he slept. Soundwave gently touched his faceplate, but that was enough to wake him.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to wake you."
"It's fine. I was having bad dreams. I take it you were as well."
He nodded, gently cuddling up to his sparkmate. Shockwave allowed it seeking comfort as well.
"The Shadowzone again?"
"Yes. Then the Autobots and the betrayal...."
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be. You didn't fail us."
"Soundwave..."
"I shouldn't be so enraged! I have a great life here with you and Lazerbeak, yet whenever I think that he dragged us here to fight for what's right only to bail on us afterward...There was once a time I considered him my best friend, now if we ever see him again I will end him!"
"I understand. I also feel somewhat used. Being stuck on a wrecked Cybertron was lonely. Though I like working alone and being given space the silence of a deserted broken planet is enough to drive one mad. Then I was able to join you all, only for my plans to fail and for him to leave us for dead. I've lost all faith or goodwill I might've had towards him since...Still I somewhat understand."
That was surprising. Shockwave noticed the confused emoji upon Soundwave's faceplate and proceeded to explain.
"We were trying to fight for a better world. But I think at some point we should've excepted defeat was inevitable. Our numbers were low, our soldiers didn't get along, Breakdown and Dreadwing died, Arachnid was only there for self gain before you had to take her out, Knockout defected....What could we do? It was a doomed endeavor. So I think Megatron decided enough was enough and he wanted some peace and quiet. That is why I left too. I was done.
I'm glad I did though, because then you came to me and I was no longer alone. I have all the time in the world to further my studies and to spend all my remaining days by your side. If I had to chose between this or keeping the fight going with no end in sight, I'd always chose you."
He wasn't often a mech of sentimentality, but whenever Shockwave poured out the charm he was a natural. Soundwave gently placed their faceplates together as if he was giving him a human styled kiss.
"I'd always chose you too. This defeat hurts beacuse I met many who fought for nothing, but at the very least I can honor them by being happy here with you. By actually living the life we should've always had if not for the corruption of our home planet.
I'm glad I'm out of that hell and here beside you, thanks Shockwave. I feel blessed to have an understanding and loving sparkmate by my side."
"Likewise to you. I love you."
"I love you too."
They cuddled closer as Soundwave pulled a blanket over them before slipping into recharge again. Rain could be heard tapping on the roof lulling him to sleep. Sound obligated as his consciousness began to fade.
The betrayal and defeat would always pain him but as long as he had Shockwave by his side he could endure it all.
Before the Overlord incident Rodimus and Drift were in the middle of Conjunx Ritus when Drift was banished. Before he left they decided to take a little break.
When Drift came back with Ratchet he found out they were bonded and he kind of spiraled. He knew he deserved it and tried being happy for him but he didn't know what to do. Everytime he saw them it physically hurt. He started putting distance between himself and Drift. Not that it mattered since he was too busy with Ratchet to notice. He was also still a little mad at Rodimus and didn't know what to do about their relationship. Ratchet also asked Rodimus to stay out of their way as they figure out their new relationship. After everything he's put Drift through he owes him that much and shouldn't get between them.
The Lost Light goes back to Cybertron and Rodimus gets drunk. He ends up sleeping with Soundwave and gets sparked because of it. He's in shock and doesn't know how to tell him or if he should. Since it was a one night stand.
However Soundwave can tell something is up when his coding starts acting weird and sire coding activates. He realizes what's going on and follows the Last Night. Ravage who is still alive watches over Rodimus and becomes a friend of his. When Soundwave finally meets up with the Lost Light he joins them and at first everyone is worried it's because of Megatron. That he's following him again only to be shocked when Soundwave starts hanging out with Rodimus.
The two of them talk. Soundwave knows and wants to be there for him anyway he wants. Rodimus is so relieved he cries and Soundwave just holds him. After that the two of them get closer as they prepare for their sparkling. Soundwave takes care of him and is very attentive making Rodimus blush and fall in love.
Drift and Ratchet see this and start realizing they have feelings for Rodimus and are jealous he's with someone else. Especially Drift who acts like he still has some claim on Rodimus. They try to pursue Rodimus and Soundwave tells them to back off and that they had their chance and not to get in Rodimus way of finding happiness. Just because they think they've got some kind of claim on him. Rodimus shouldn't have to wait around for them to realize their feelings and pursue him. He should be with someone who loves him not because they are jealous he found happiness.
Whoever you are you can leave as many asks/thoughts/anything in my inbox to your hearts content because I LOVE THIS!
Soundrod is a love oceanoasis helped fester in me but dratchrod angst is just something i desperately yearn and crave.
This is perfect 😭 sparked roddy is my all time fav
Hey I think I saw that your requests were open but I'm not sure so I'm very sorry if I'm bothering you. If you are taking request though, can we have Megatron walking in on Soundwave and the war lord decides to ~join in on the fun~. Clearly consensual though. Thanks again!
Tumblr media
Kinda combined two requests in this one
not only did I write this one while high it was also 2 am when I started
Additional content: you learn something about me that idk if i should have shared it
Soundwave bites his lower lip, trying his best to keep himself quiet in the dark of his own quarters, careful not to alert any nearby soldiers that may be patrolling the halls. His spike throbs in his hand, covered in his pre-fluid that pools at his fingers and coats his mesh more with each stroke. His unoccupied hand covers his mouth that he had foolishly removed his mask from. As he squeezes his spike he thinks shamefully and wantonly of his Lord, of Megatron, wishing that he could serve his master in berth as well as on the battlefield. His name weighs heavily on Soundwave’s glossa and he wishes he could shout it out to the depths of space, yell it out so everyone could hear him and know who he belongs to and how much Megatron favors him, wants him, needs him. The thought of what it would feel like to have Megatron’s valve around his spike springs to the front of his mind and he has to bite on his hand to cut off a moan. Nothing would bring him more joy than to serve his lord and let him rest as Soundwave did all the work bringing him pleasure and relaxation.
The door to Soundwave’s quarters slides open with little warning and he stops short, frozen in place with his optics wide as he looks upon the silhouette at his door, red optics burning a hole into him. After a moment, the figure steps in and he can clearly see Megatron, his lord in the metal, stepping into the room enough so the door can slide shut causing Soundwave to have a moment of panic. He thinks it must be that Megatron had found out and was disgusted with him. Was he not careful enough? Who told Megatron? How did he know?
“Ah, I apologize,” Megatron manages to get out his words albeit awkwardly and if Soundwave didn’t know any better he’d think that Megatron sounds flustered, “I didn’t mean to disturb you.”
“It is…” Soundwave moves his hands stiffly in an attempt to cover himself, “It is alright my lord.”
Megatron slowly takes a few steps forward, careful as though not to spook Soundwave. Seeing that Soundwave doesn’t flinch or pull away from him, Megatron cups Soundwave’s chin and tilts it up so Soundwave looks at him in the optic.
“You should have told me you were seeking relief,” Megatron scolds him lightly, sounding more like he was telling an inside joke, “I would be more than happy to help one of my most loyal soldiers, reward them even.”
Soundwave licks his lips in thought and doesn’t miss how Megatron traces the gesture with his optics.
“If you are offering, my lord, I would love nothing more than to serve you,” Soundwave surprises himself by how steady his voice is only to moan when Megatron nips at the corner of his mouth.
“Indeed no one else who serves me is as loyal as you,” Megatron growls pleasantly in Soundwave’s audial before pushing Soundwave down onto his back and straddling him.
Soundwave barely has enough time to move his hands to Megatron’s hips before Megatron was on him with his valve, grinding roughly against Soundwave’s spike, coating it with his hot lubricant as it slides between his wet folds. Megatron’s valve is dark with bright red biolights pulsing away as charge exchanges between them, the lips of his valve are plump and soft, squishing against his spike obscenely. Soundwave sits up and Megatron meets him in a kiss, their glossa sliding against each other as their lips meet. Megatron bites Soundwave’s lip just as he slides down Soundwave’s spike to the base, his fat valve rubbing against Soundwave’s pelvic plating. Slowly moving his hips, Megatron frags himself on Soundwave’s spike as he kisses his officer, his hands tight on Soundwave’s shoulders. Soundwave settles his hands on Megatron’s aft to help Megatron stay steady as he rides Soundwave’s spike. He huffs in surprise when Megatron pushes him onto his back, breaking the kiss suddenly. Megatron leans back and starts riding Soundwave in earnest, his hands grabbing Soundwave’s to pull them to his hips where he holds onto them tightly. Helpless in Megatron’s grasp, Soundwave watches him ride his spike as it disappears between the fat lips of Megatron’s valve, feeling the slick walls of Megatron’s valve squeeze around his spike.
Megatron lets go of Soundwave’s hands to balance himself on Soundwave’s thighs while leaning back so he can ride Soundwave harder and faster. Soundwave’s spike fills him well, the hefty girth of it stretching his walls wide near to the point of pain and he relishes in the deep throb in his valve. Soundwave grabs Megatron’s hips, dragging them down onto his spike as he tenses up, curling into Megatron as he spills his load of transfluid into his master’s valve. Megatron yells Soundwave’s name as his valve squeezes down on Soundwave’s spike in response to the warm transfluid filling his valve. They both come down from their overloads slowly, giving Soundwave enough time to watch his transfluid to leak past Megatron’s valve lips before Megatron is on him with appreciative kisses on his face then his chin then his neck where Megatron opens his mouth to drag his fangs over Soundwave’s neck cables to then sink them into Soundwave’s neck enough to spill energon. Soundwave wraps his arms around Megatron with a gasp at the feeling of Megatron’s fangs sinking into his neck, marking him, claiming him as Soundwave so deserved and desired with his entire spark. Megatron pulls away, licking his lips and humming with approval at his own handiwork leaving Soundwave a panting, bloody mess unable to do anything but look to his master with hungry delight.
“You please me as always, my loyal soldier,” Megatron rumbles, hooking hand under Soundwave’s chin, “You will be rewarded very often from now on… as you so deserve.”
so I started thinking about IDW1 soundwave again, and how he was blackmailed by optimus and how there was little to no resolution to that little subplot which is par for the course when it comes to the guy who wrote the robots in disguise comics at the time.
But I always keep jumping back to it because it bothers me that, from beginning to the end, it made no sense. the blackmail material that optimus had at his disposal hinges on a technicality. to summarize the situation: the autobots had the decepticons holed up in a camp with bombs in their head that would blow up at the push of a button if they ever stepped out of line or caused a threat.
bumblebee was the leader of the autobots at the time and held the remote detonator to those bombs.
unbeknownst to bumblebee and the autobots, Soundwave had discovered the frequency and made sure no decepticons got their heads blown off if the autobots ever were to use the detonator. the plan was to lay low and play along.
however, only a select few decepticons knew about this plan. most of the rank and file decepticons did not know about it. then a decepticon named horri-bull started causing trouble and bumblebee pushed the button to blow his head off. to play along as he was ordered to and to avoid rousing suspicion Soundwave had to either allow this to happen or had to send the detonation signal to the bomb in horri-bull's head to keep up the act.
but here's the thing, not only was it under orders that soundwave did it, it was still bumblebee who decided to push the damn button and kill horribull.
it's like... you know that saying that goes something like "you don't blame the gun you blame the guy who's pulling the trigger"? it's the exact same scenario! I just think this writer is bad, sure he has made some few good scenes and stories and dialogue that I genuinely appreciate but it doesn't make up for the majority of terrible stories and mischaracterization he's written for the sake of pushing the plot forward in a specific direction. it's just the worst way to write a story but I digress.
there is little to no resolution for this blackmailing subplot aside from some quick wrap up where horri-bull's romantic partner needlenose digs into soundwave when he finds out the truth. but the thing is: sure he can be pissed at Soundwave for going along with it, but bumblebee is still the one who decided to kill the guy, so it doesn't really make much of a difference. at worst it could've all been a minor dispute if they had talked it out but alas.
if I were to make a guess at anything out of that mess it would be that Soundwave allowed himself to get blackmailed because he probably felt tired, lost, and guilty all things considered. Because aside from soundwave all of the decepticon high command had gone off to fulfill their own goals, leaving the cause and the rest of the decepticons behind. Ravage who had pretty much raised Soundwave, was away to keep an eye on megatron who had not only given up but decided to change sides to the autobots, double whammy right there. the decepticons had lost the war so soundwave decides to pick up the pieces and tries to give the decepticon veterans a place where they can live in peace away from the rule of primes which happens to be earth of all places. but then he has to deal with galvatron who ended up joining them and he's looking to reignite the war all over again. god, it makes me tired just thinking about it.
point is: by the time thundercracker of all people, shows up at his doorstep with optimus prime in tow. Soundwave is probably like "yeah this might as well happen" this isn't even mentioning that ravage up and died at one point during lost light and soundwave felt that.
mostly i'm not counting that in because idk when it happened in robots in disguise on soundwaves end but whether it was before or after optimus blackmailed him makes little difference because either way the guy was already emotionally defeated at that point.
IDW 1 End Thoughts
Okay, I've had most of the day to process things. Maybe I can put it all into words now. Spoilers below (duh).
I still can't decide if I like this ending. I'm leaning more towards "no." Unicron was the final arc, the endgame of the series, and so many characters got killed off. I'd recover from one death, and then another would happen. Starscream, Soundwave, and Wheeljack were all favorites of mine, so seeing them die was... not fun, to say the least. They aren't going to get to enjoy a peaceful world.
And I get it, I guess. Thinking about it in-universe, this was the best outcome for everyone else. Without other bots sacrifices, more probably would have died. I'm not happy or satisfied with it though, especially with Cybertron just getting destroyed. That really bummed me out.
Now, onto Lost Light. The final Lost Light comic was a giant punch to the gut for me. Ratchet dying, Megatron getting his sentence (which we never actually find out what he gets), the crew splitting up, and a few other things.
Like... everyone forgetting Rung. Just, why? Why was that necessary? Was there an actual reason given and I just forgot? Was it supposed to be funny or something? I didn't find it funny. Just... really, really sad. After everything he did, they just forget him. I'm not cool with that.
Time for Megs. Because... yeah, we knew this was coming. It's been something established since he joined the crew. Even if he did good things, like helping the Functionist Universe, there's still so many unforgiveable things as well (I say this as an IDW Megs fan!). I guess his sentence is up to fan interpretation. Death, or eternal imprisonment.
Rewind... oh, I'm so sorry buddy, you got done dirty. First he dies, and then we get him back and things are happy for a while! Then in the last issue he's like, paralyzed. I don't like that either! Unnecessary sadness, once again! Same goes with Ratchet's death! I'm pretty sure there's characters older than him that are alive. But nope. Ratchet dies from age burnout. Yippeeee.... Brainstorm's whole thing with his accident was another punch to the gut!
And I feel really bad for Rodimus. It seems like he may be an alcoholic now? Or something close to that. He still gets to go on adventures in space, but like Drift told him, it's not the same. It'll never be the same without the Lost Light crew.
SPEAKING OF THE LOST LIGHT CREW!!! THEY JUST DON'T TALK TO EACH OTHER FOR YEARS? IT'S THE FOUND FAMILY BREAKS UP AT THE END TROPE AND I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS. Like, I get they all have their own lives... but still. You get what I mean, right? And I know that there's that copy in another universe, still going off on adventures, but it's just not the same. The main characters, the original ones we got attached to, they're still living their lives, most in less-than-happy ways. It just kills me a bit.
So, in conclusion, the IDW ending makes me feel empty. It leaves me going, "Oh. This really is it, then." Though, I do think the Optimus Prime comics ended better than Lost Light. That one truly was bittersweet for me, while Lost Light was just gut-punch after gut-punch. That being said, if you've been reading all my reactions to this series, thank you. I started this last summer and now, I'm ending it this summer. I don't know what it is, I guess when it turned June my brain went "it's pride month now FINISH READING ABOUT THE GAY ROBOTS!"
That being said, I'll probably read IDW 2. I don't know when, I've gotta find a reading order. So if anyone has one, then I'd love to see it.
