Vaggie was very small one day, barely being able to do things by herself. She mainly was crawling the whole time but her sibbies tried to get her to walk. Carmilla even got in on it and started recording as Vaggie tried standing up. She kneeled down and opened her arms, trying to get Vaggie to walk into them.

"You can do it, Mija!" The overlord encouraged her. Odette and Clara were watching and cheering from the sides.

Vaggie took a few one very wiggling and unbalanced step. She squeaked, a little scared, but still tried. She took another one, and then one more. Everyone was so happy and excited. However, as she tried to take one more step, she fell forward into her Mami's arms. She giggles a little.

"You're so strong, sis!" Clara told her, patting her back. Vaggie gave her a toothy smile as everyone else started congratulating her.

I've been thinking about the swan hierarchy in Swan Lake. For some reason it's just really funny to me that there's a pecking order (pun, lol) in this sad, sad lake.

Clearly Odette is the leader. Okay, I'll accept it, even though I don't know why these swan maidens would pick her in particular. And it's evident she was chosen, judging by how the swans always put her in the center of all their formations. Why, though?

And what about the big swans and the four little swans? They're clearly more important than the normal swans. What makes them so special? What's their story? All we know about them are some are big and some are smol and for some reason that makes them important.

I think most of the swans are the "middle children" of the bunch while the eldest and youngest get special treatment.

     The swan lets out a small giggle. She had half expected him to be too embarrassed to indulge her teasing nature. Many of the boys at Shade ( Vacuoan men in general ) were far too macho; too insecure with their masculinity that they couldn’t laugh at themselves once in a while.

     “I’d say it’s working out for you,” Odette pokes fun with a smile. With a toss of one her braids, she extends her hand out to him. If he wasn’t too tough to make light of his clumsiness, he wasn’t too tough to accept a helping hand. “You got my attention. Now, you wanna try that again or do you wanna just cut to the chase?”

bp and i were looking at this card and wondering why the hell it lists sharena as the eldest princess of askr if alfonse is supposed to be older... which led to me wondering if there’s a second princess of askr... which led to a total loss of impulse control and a new muse oops. i still need to figure out a full-body outfit but here’s her hair and eyes at least :3c

so anyways, here’s princess odette of askr. she’s much younger than alfonse and sharena, being only 13 years old, and therefore not in the order of heroes-- she tried to follow them and join, though. multiple times. both alfonse and anna had to shut her down. she thinks the world of alfonse and sharena, and is really unhappy about the conflict within their family between dad and her brother as it means neither of the elder sibs are around often. 

while cheerful and sweet, she’s also a little spitfire and possesses a rebellious streak, going as far as to sneak out of askr castle to visit alfonse and sharena as often as she can-- because if she can’t join them on the battlefield, she’s definitely going to at least SEE them more often. while well-behaved in book 1, as the story continues on she grows more and more anxious to be of use to her siblings in some way as the stakes rise...

she’s an infantry healer-- and a dancer, currently impassioned by her lessons. while she wouldn’t dance as a healer, should she pick up a weapon she definitely would-- and would be a green tome unit.

I have been reading stucky fics for a couple years now, and 2020 gave me the opportunity to read even more. Plus, I got back on tumblr and got to see the many great things the fandom has to offer. So I want to celebrate some of my favorites of the year!

Hey, dudes, dudettes and dudles!

After much deliberation, this is my PERSONAL final cast of (non)Disney characters as the six wives of Henry the 8th (100% inspired solely by the musical)

A few days ago, I asked you guys here on tumblr for advice and opinions on who (non)Disney women would work as casting choices for SIX aka the six wives of Henry the 8th. I got a lot of thoughts and responses and have decided on which I personally prefer. It’s important to note that my choices are based mostly on two things;

1, the musical. I don’t know ANYTHING about the Tudors beyond what the musical tells us.

2, whether their footage or personalities would fit their solo songs, NOT whether they look like the original women nor the actresses portraying them in the musical.

Catherine of Aragon

Chel: Too little footage of her in general.

Cinderella: Catherine of Aragon comes off as a very confident, strong-headed woman. I just don’t see that in Cinderella. Not that she’s a push-over, but she has very little footage of her looking tough, smug or angry.

Tiana: Too little human footage.

Tzipporah: Too little footage of her in general.

Anya: Honestly, Anya is a really good fit for Catherine of Aragon as well. The main reason I chose Jasmine is, probably, due to her having more suitable footage for the song “No way” than I think Anya does. But both would probably have worked, I just prefer Jasmine to Anya for this cast :)

Anne Boleyn

Chel: Too little footage of her in general.

Ariel: As much as I love Ariel, she has two major problems; She’s usually a mermaid and she doesn’t talk through most of the movie. I know some editors don’t care about, for example, Ariel’s floating hair during scenes where she’s supposed to be, well, NOT in water, but that has always bothered me. It ruins the illusion of her being a “normal” person and it puts me off of using her a lot.

Jane Seymour

No one. Odette immediately sprung to mind and people seemed to agree with me. She was the easiest choice by far because, not only does a lot of her footage match “Heart of Stone”, but her looks resemble the actress portraying Jane as well.

Anne of Cleves

Anastasia Tremaine: Anne is portrayed as tomboyish, confident and “not prim and proper”. Anastasia, on the other hand, is cute, clumsy and with big funny expressions. Her footage simply doesn’t fit the “Get down” song at all.

Holli Would: Holli would stand out too much next to the other women in my opinion. And despite her having the same cocky confidence as Anne, she’s most definitely NOT tomboyish.

Marina: Gotta be honest here... my main gripe is that the few times I’ve edited with Marina, I’ve hated masking her. Yeah, I don’t have a better reason than that, truthfully xD

Anya: Despite Anya having somewhat of the same personality, she isn’t really what I’d call a “tomboy”. Not in the footage at least. I don’t think she has as many suitable scenes as Pocahontas does.

Chel: Too little footage of her in general.

Catherine Howard

Ariel: As much as I love Ariel, she has two major problems; She’s usually a mermaid and she doesn’t talk through most of the movie. Belle: I thought Belle fit Parr more than Howard.

Cinderella: Honestly, Cinderella could probably have made a very suitable Howard. The main reason I chose Lina over Cindy is that Lina has more of a “naive” innocence to her than Cindy does, probably due to her being such a smol bean. She looks like she’d be more likely to consistently fall for the same shitty men over and over again.

Megara: Despite the musical kinda playing up the “sex kitten” part about her character, honestly, when I first heard the song (not knowing where it was from or what it was about etc.) I thought it was about this young, sweet, naive, maybe a bit air-headed girl who just really wanted to be loved and was willing to go very far to feel loved. Megara, despite her backstory, doesn’t fit those characteristics in my opinion.

Catherine Parr

Mrs. Anna: “The king and I” move doesn’t exist in HD, and I think she’d look too old next to the other women. I’m fully aware that  the real women were, obviously, of varying ages, but having just ONE of them look much older than the others would bother me.

Pocahontas: Pocahontas fit Anne so much more, that’s really the only reason I can think of.

Esmeralda: ALMOST chose Esmeralda for a few of these women actually. Parr wasn’t one of them though.

Kida: Kida has, in my opinion, really not that much footage. Moreso than Chel for example, but she spends a good part of the movie either not having been introduced yet, or be a humanized crystal.

Tiana: Too little human footage.

Yume is….very, very mildly surprised. She gives Hebi a few lil waves and really wishes she could give the smol snek a hug.

*Hebi glances back at Slyn, who stops talking for a moment.*

3. Favorite Barbie film song?

Free from PATP is my absolute favorite Barbie song, such a strong introduction to the movie. I Need to Know from the Island Princess is a very close second though.

4. Favorite Barbie film dance scene?

That scene in Swan Lake where the fairy queen is teaching Odette how to dance and there’s little floating lights around them. I love the dancing and the music in that particular scene!

9. Favorite Barbie Villian.

Preminger from PATP and Laverna from Fairytopia. Dangerous, but hospitable ahaha

12. Favorite Barbie Film quote?

I honestly have SO many that I like it’s almost impossible to choose just one. But the two that I always keep in mind are:
