*Curious finishes the cake and then tries a bit of lasagna, it's face screwing up a little in disgust at the slight spiciness.*

*Curious disappears, and if Slyn looks over at the buffet table, he'll see it quickly filling a plate with food. Then it disappears again, and reappears besides Slyn. It's clearly struggling to hold the plate and drops it on the next chair over, luckily without spilling anything.*

*It's just chosen a random variety of both savory and sweet stuff. Curious takes a little cake from the plate for itself and sits down to nibble it.*

*It seems to realize something and looks over at Yume for a moment before turning back to Slyn.*

*He points at himself with his tail... causing the pencil to fall again. The snake hisses at it slightly in annoyance.*

It's okay, it took me a long time to learn how to hold things, too. But look, you're doing it!

*Curious squints at the paper, trying to figure out what Slyn is writing.*

*It's a lot of really scraggly kind of lines, like a baby playing with a pencil for the first time. He does, finally, manage to make a word.*

*This is humiliating for him.*

*Tilting its head again, Curious passes the pencil back to Slyn, keeping a hold on it until it's certain the snake has a good grip on it.*

*It definitely takes a bit. But somehow, the damn thing does manage to get a grip on the pencil and start making... very abstract marks on the notepad, like a child. This is a bit harder than he expected...*

*Curious floats down to pick up the pencil, before sitting back on the chair. It looks down at the pencil sadly.*

I'm sorry... it must be hard not being able to talk or write...

*The snake nods, but holds its tail out. It seems determined to try and write.*

*It takes a minute or two, but eventually Curious reappears, back in its more human looking form. It's holding a small notebook and a pencil.*

Let me just find...

*It flicks through the notebook. Most of the pages are covered in childish drawings and scrawled writing, but eventually it finds a relatively empty page and puts the notebook and pencil in front of Slyn.*

There, now you can try writing your name!

*The snake kinda stares for a few moments before trying to grasp the pencil with the end of its tail, only for it to get skewed and whap him on the head before falling off the chair.*
