1. Doesn’t shy away from social issues and discussed them in a serious yet entertaining and relatable way including toxic masculinity, alcoholism, ptsd, depression, anxiety, immigration and so many more.

2. Showcases a whole load of under represented groups of people

3. So. Many lesbian fandom references

4. ‘Hey guys, don’t rape’

5. The brilliant actress that Justina Machado is

6. Lydia Alvarez and her curtain

7. Syd, a non binary character who is never undermined or disrespected by the writers

8. Literally so many more. I actually can’t even tell you enough how much I encourage people to watch this show

if you’re looking for a show that represents a whole bunch of minorities and tackles real social issues then go watch one day at a time on netflix because we need a third season and many, many more.
