I was an x reader writer before I became a selfshipper. I always knew I enjoyed getting requests for my (now)F/o too much LMAO

But the thing is. Since then he's become a major comfort for me, I don't like sharing him, and thinking of other people imagining him in a romantic way makes me feel ill. my boyfriend has been a little distant lately and like he swears nothings up but i dont know if i believe that because he is being super dry and leaving me on opened a lot I don’t know what to do because i love this boy and im scared he is starting to lose feelings.

Ooo this is a tough one. Have you told him this, like blatantly? If you havent, tell him you're worried about your relationship. Be open and honest.

If you have told him, and he swears nothing is wrong, then at that point the only thing you can do is kind of wait it out, I think. If he's still acting like this in a week or so, you might need to sit him down and say "hey, you ARE acting different. here are some examples." and if he still swears he isn't, then you might need to tell him what you need. "you used to to x. now you don't. I need you to do x."

It could very well be that he doesn't know he's acting differently. Something could be bothering him that's unrelated. As terrifying as it is, it sounds like this relationship is important to you, so you need to try to openly communicate.
