I’ll do my best to find 9 songs, was it? That remind me of a ship

“Viento”-Caifanes — Cordelia/Gale (bg3) just the astral imagery and wanting time to slow down for a moment. This song is when they’re both unsure about the future outcome, but want to exist together in their little bubble for a little longer.

“Eres”- Cafe Tacvba — another Cordelia/Gale from Gale’s perspective. Just the utter devotion is very Gale to me. He devotes his body, mind, and soul, and wants that energy returned. That like. Mutual devotion to each other. The lines “[you are] my salvation, my hope, and my faith” gets to me.

“sisko älä pelkää”- pehmoaino — not a romantic ship, but this does make me think of Cordelia & Wyll platonic friendship. In Cordelia’s canon, they were best friends since childhood. The events of the game really fracture their relationship, and they feel this growing distance where they used to be so close.

“Dos galaxias”- Indios — another Cordelia & Wyll straining friendship. Just confused and hurt because what happened? They used to be so close. Cordelia who sees him like a brother, so why is he now so far away that they might as well be two galaxies.

“Dime Como Tú Quieras”- Los Mesoneros — haven’t talked about this pairing to anyone except maybe 2 people, but Ever/Aria T’Loak (Mass Effect 2) this is We-both-need-a-distraction-from-our-exes, no-we-won’t-talk-about-it sex

“Antes de Ti”- Diamante Eléctrico - Ever/James when they get together post-canon. Just Ever’s bad reputation with relationships just turning to ash, because they want so much of what used to scare them (real intimacy). All the sugary sweet romantic things they used to avoid, they now seek (and enjoy) from him.

“Between Two Points (feat. Swan)”- The Glitch Mob, Swan — Cordelia/Gale. It’s a little horny, but also a little dark because the weight of what they must do is so heavy. She projects confidence to ease everyone else’s anxieties (seeing her so self-assured inspires), but they very much don’t know what will happen. These two are so thirsty for each other

“Hug”- SEVENTEEN — Cordelia/Gale. Specifically this is Gale comforting Cordelia after she sacrifices her magic. They love each other so much T-T

“Try to be”- Blue Hawaii —So while not a ship song, I’ll share this song that’s kinda like a character study? I think it really captures some of the struggles that Ever has with their mother. Never living up to her expectations, realizing that they don’t want to even try to, anymore.

Author note: As always, feedback is greatly appreciated

Lemon Drops Cafe and Bakery. Big bright yellow and white letters read, and slight lemon decals surrounded the sign. Jay checked his phone before entering the shop; Hailey had insisted that the ex-army ranger get the morning coffee from the new bakery since the one in the break room was utterly broken. Pushing the glass door open, a light twinkle of a bell announced Jay’s presence. A head popped through the doorway that seemed to lead to the kitchens.

“I’ll be with you in a second.” A southern drawl stunned Jay.

The inside of the bakery was just as cozy as the exterior. Clusters of yellow chairs were pushed into three wooden tables, each bearing a yellow and white lemon tablecloth and varying-sized pillow. Along the opposite wall rests a series of tall displays, most filled with either what smelt like fresh loaves or display cakes. Turning more towards the counter, Jay noticed that in between the large coffee machine and the small portion of the counter dedicated to the register was a large display cupboard partially filled with cookies, cupcakes and some savory treats. Along the wall behind the counter, Jay could see an assortment of coffee bean bags that looked like they had yet to be packed away in the above cupboard and potted plants. The bakery overwhelmingly filled Jay with a sense of calm, and he loved the welcoming, cozy, homely environment that Hailey had sent him into.

A young woman soon walked out of the kitchen doorway and greeted Jay warmly. Her Chocolate brown curly hair was haphazardly thrown into a bun, and a yellow ribbon wrapped around the tie. She wore a white short-sleeved shirt beneath a pale yellow apron and chocolate brown pants. Her apron was covered in white dashes of flour and smudges of frosting and chocolate. The pin on her apron read Cordelia, a sticker of a small bundle of lemons decorating the rest of the pin. When Jay’s eyes reached her face, he took note of the imperfect splash of flour that dusted her cheeks and the bright smile that graced her features.

“Good Morning. What can I get ya?” Her voice was perfectly airy and sweet, like the melody of his favourite song. For once, the voice wasn't dull or uninterested; instead, it sounded like she genuinely wanted to be covered in flour dust and chocolate smudges at nearly 6:30 in the morning.

“Four large double shot coffees and Hailey Uptons usual.” He recited the order that Hailey had given him only ten minutes earlier. Jay moved to open his wallet to pay when Cordelia simply shook her head.

“No need to pay, it's on the house.” Her smile was blinding as she moved further down to the coffee machine, Jay following.

“At least let me tip you or something”, Jay argued as the women moved expertly around the small area, quickly making the coffee’s and packing a small box full of freshly baked treats.

“Please, this is the least I can do for you guys”, she spoke, “Besides, that would be breaking my own rules” " she said, pointing towards the large poster plastered above the register. Jay followed her finger and shook his head as he read the sign.

‘Cops, Firefighters, Doctors and Nurses, drinks and treats are on the house, No exceptions!!’

“My dad was a ranger and taught me the value of first responders, so when I started my business, I made it a rule that those who protect us, normal people, from our stupidity would never have to pay. Plus, I make enough profit to cover it anyway.” As she pushed the box and cup tray towards Jay, she gestured to the jar on the counter next to the register, “But if your conscience won't let you leave without leaving a tip, then here, donate to this month's charity, the Chicago police fund” Jay practically swooned over her smile this time. pushing a few large bills into the jar, Jay left the cafe with a dopey smile and a mental promise never to get coffee anywhere else.

You and @latibvles and @youretheobiwanforme too!

@shoshiwrites and I were discussing the possibility of my OC Fred getting a camera, and one of the photos Sho found - a couple at a beach - featured the man's tattoo pretty prominently, soooo we started talking about tattoos.

John can't get a tattoo that says Freda on it - she just won't let him do it. And getting a full blown Vargas girl on his arm - which he threatened to do after she told him he couldn't do her name - just doesn't seem like his style, either. I really liked the idea of a plane coming out of the clouds, and LET'S MISBEHAVE in scrollwork script underneath. (It's their song, so she can't get angry about that.)

(Also decided that while he can't get Fred's name, he's absolutely the guy who gets his daughter's name inked on his arm. Fred can't get angry about that, either.)

You know who would get a pinup, though? Bucky would. Maybe there was whiskey involved, but that doesn't matter. He's standing by it 100%. There's no other option. Cordelia doesn't know what to with him, but that's totally her face and it's totally on his arm, or his ribs, and it's endearing and exasperating at the same time, but he's so pleased with himself and it's kind of hot, actually, that he sat still long enough to do that for her.

Demarco: Dice, Meatball, switchblade and something in Italian

Daisy - What inspired you to create your OC?

Answering this one chronologically!

Silverstein was originally made around 2 years ago when I first started playing (oh god the passage of time). At the time, I wanted a character that fit how I played instead of the other way around, so a reserved all-arounder type fit well -- I also immediately fell in love with clay men which is the only real reason for that part lmao. Since then, I restarted his account and reworked him partially; he's more of his own character instead of an insert, but he's still less "opinionated" than my other ocs, if that makes sense.

Pembroke was made in September. I don't have the original notes for her any more so I can't quite remember the thought process there but I think I wanted a character that's more outgoing/excitable than Silverstein. Having a second account for trying new options (and another ambition!) was also a key point.

For other characters I have but don't talk particularly about came up in the next two months:

I got MotR in October and made a guy for that. They're mostly an insert and I don't really consider them canon to current-timeline stuff so I don't have much to say oops.

I got SSkies in November and made two (2!) guys for that! Before actually playing, I got attached to a concept for an officer oc so I kept that and made a captain to balance him out. (Quickest summary of these two: captain gets along best with the driver and officer is the complete opposite lol) I do adore these two and have a couple fic ideas/wips that I'm slowly working on :3

And lastly is a main-setting character which I'm working on because I realised that neither Silverstein or Pembroke are interested in the university, like at all, which is kind of a problem when later storylines need it. There is not a single ounce of nerd or book smarts between these two so I'm putting a whole other guy in there. Also! going to be playing light fingers with them in theory, which will be interesting :D

Buttercup - Does your OC have any odd quirks/habits?

Most of how Silverstein interacts with people is odd/disconcerting for the other participants. He has issues with speech but also doesn't care enough to talk how people expect him to. Man of few words!

Pembroke, on the other hand, rarely likes sitting quietly in company and has a habit of filling the silence with infodumping about a) fabrics and fashion or b) violence and monster hunting. What topic she picks /usually/ lines up with the current persona, but it's especially odd when it doesn't. Fancy society lady cheerfully rambling about murder and rough hunter grilling people's outfits, fun :D!

So, Aella is the Salhan deity of the Ocean & Travel/exploration, and for most of her existence she was a neutral god (not part of either major Pantheon), like most deities from the Maren Family are. The Marens in general tend to have power over Primal domains, natural forces that Can't Really be controlled. Amatus, Aella's uncle, is the god of Weather and Loyalty, for example, with Weather being his Primal domain.

So during the 14,500 years she was an Unaligned Deity, she'd sail and explore Salha's oceans & very rarely spent time on land, any stops she did make were mainly supply runs.

She had a crew with her for most of that time, with her crew mainly being made up of captains of ships she took over. She always gave the captains two choices; join her and she'll bring the crew to safety, or refuse and she'll kill the captain and their crew. Most captains chose to join her.

Though since she was a Deity and her crew was Mortal, she ended up having to replace most members of her crew "frequently" (to her it was frequently)

She normally took over ships via luring them in with Siren's Song, a mind control power used mainly through singing. Aella is also able to broadcast her voice pretty far. Normally, her crew is unaffected by Siren's Song, though they're never sure why.

around 500 years ago, she made the mistake of attacking one of Light Song's ships, Light Song being the tyrant ruler of the Fallen Pantheon. Light Song killed Aella's last known crew, and forced Aella to make the same choice she'd given others; join, or die. Aella chose to join, since she was defeated and lost sight in one eye.

For basically all of her time with the Fallen Pantheon (500 years ago to now), Aella's been closer to Vizerxa than Light Song. She deeply misses her final crew, especially since one of the members was her lover, Cordelia, the second in command.

Aella really doesn't like being in the same place for long, but Light Song refused to let Aella even go near a port city, so she was trapped inland with the Fallen.

When Vizerxa took over the Fallen Pantheon around 5 years ago, she let Aella go back to her nomadic sailing ways, giving her a ship and some basic supplies. the only condition was that Aella had to stop by either the Bright Palace (the Fallen's home) or a port city that was chosen beforehand, every few months in order to check up on her.

Her favorite color is blue, her favorite flower is the lotus flower, and her favorite food is baked salmon :3
