Next up is Zara! I definitely have a more updated drawing of her somewhere but I don’t feel like looking for it 😭 I’ll update it later

Anyways, info!

- Zara is an advisor. She used to work an even amount in every kingdom, but now she primarily works in Aerilon. Luckily, advisors are treated with great respect so she always has a nice warm bed to sleep on when she travels away from home.

- The body of a seraphim is made up of clouds and barely solid matter keeping them together. Zara is one of the unlucky seraphim whose body couldn’t hold. Her whole body neck down needed to be stored in an airtight vessel so it wouldn’t scatter. This is common among seraphim. So long as she is careful with her new body, she will remain in place.

- Zara is overwhelmingly positive. To her, no day is a bad day so long as she’s alive.

- Zara loves to sew and crochet! She makes clothes in her free time, sometimes gifting them to royals she works with. Other times, she donates them to charity.

- Literal ray of sunshine

- She lives in Synnefo, the only ruling Kingdom in the sky realm. She grew up middle-class, but now she is seen as worth more than a noble.

- Her work is very important to her

- People pleaser

- Seraphim are not allowed or enter anywhere past the Upper Deck of the Sea Realm with an amulet. This is because they will die. When Zara has work to do in the Sea Realm, she has to wear full underwater gear. Think of Sandy from Spongebob.

- Zara loves butterflies, they are her favorite insect. She is also a big fan of bears.

- Volunteers at a psych ward in the Inferno Realm

- Zara is afraid to dabble with magic

- She is quite literally so harmless all the time

- She is 25

- She is 5’3

- She likes reading

- Zara originally wanted to be a teacher, but when she started going to school for it she felt wildly out of place. The school counselor recommended she start taking classes to be a royal advisor instead just to see how she liked it, and it checked all of her boxes. She works closely with a whole bunch of folks now and she finds it super exciting!

- Her house is messy, but she knows where everything is in it. She’s collected so many items from traveling that she can’t figure out where to put them.

- When she greets people outside a professional setting, she shakes their hand with both her hands, and she does it VERY aggressively.

- Her bed is covered with stuffed animals

- Her favorite color is every color in the whole world

- She has so much patience

- She enjoys playing video games

- Zara considers everybody a friend, but barely has time to hang out with anyone. The only person in her inner circle is Renn.

Hotchkiss - Ranked Guard

They met her first time entering Aerilon’s royal palace. He escorted her to the throne room and she yapped the whole way there. He’s the guard she sees the most when being escorted places. She’s developed a tiny crush on him but it’s no big deal, right? She totally doesn’t stutter whenever talking to him and her ring (head?) totally doesn’t turn three shades darker. That would be absurd!

In short, she has an “I can fix him” mindset about this man.

Jennifer - Messenger

Zara sees Jennifer is quiet, but besides that she is the sweetest! She takes such good care of her mail. Whenever Zara sees Jennifer, she gives her an unprofessional handshake 🩵.

Queen Iena - Queen Of Aerilon

Zara was contacted by the Queen to work with Cotton during meetings, primarily to keep Cotton level headed and to ensure that the Queen has consistent updates about how these things go. Zara. has an amazing reputation, and while Cotton’s information is accurate, it’s also frequently incomplete. Having someone keep a track record is important to Queen Iena, and lord knows her daughter won’t do it properly. Queen Iena believes her daughter is handling too much stress. She wants to promote Zara to be Cotton’s personal assistant, but Zara declined. Zara has way too many other important clients to tend to. She can’t drop everything to stay in Aerilon. Besides, she doesn’t think Cotton likes her that much. Apart from this disagreement, Zara and Queen Iena get along great.

Cotton - Princess Of Aerilon

Zara desperately wants Cotton to like her since they work so close together, but it seems like no matter what she’s able to do, nothing works. Zara plans on asking Cotton to join her for coffee or something- off the books- just to build that trust meter. Unfortunately, as positive as Zara is, she doesn’t think Cotton is gonna agree to this.

A part of being an advisor includes taking a minor in psychology. Zara can clearly see Cotton is emotionally damaged, but she has no idea why.

Seven - Princess Of Krakhozia

Seven is second on the list of royals she works closely with. Queen Starlight (Seven’s older sister) did not seek Zara out, but rather received a recommendation from Iena after Zara turned down the assistant position. Starlight figured it couldn’t hurt to have someone help Seven with her responsibilities, but Starlight didn’t consider how little Seven went to meetings. Unfortunately for Starlight, Seven insisted on keeping Zara after the first month because she “helps in other ways.” Starlight has no idea what these ways are, but she isn’t going to argue about it. She has more important things to tend to.

Seven mainly works in advancing magic, but she’s started to dive into space travel. She hasn’t explained her motives for this to Zara yet. The truth is, Seven just likes having company while she works. Zara enjoys the break, and they’ve become decent friends. The only reason Zara can’t consider Seven to be in her close circle is because she can only see her during her scheduled times to work. Seven takes her research very seriously, and if she isn’t busy researching, she’s busy with her hobbies. Zara has sewn many articles of clothing for Seven (not by Seven’s request), and Seven felt bad she was doing all this work for her on her downtime- even if it came from the goodness of her heart. To fix this, she bought a sewing machine for Zara that she can use while they are scheduled together. This way, Zara can make whatever she likes (even if it isn’t for Seven), and Seven won’t feel bad that Zara is making stuff for her on her own time. Seven also gets her many little trinkets to take home in exchange.

Overall, they are close. Zara sees a good friend in Seven. If only the girl had more free time.

Renn - Volunteer Buddy

Since Zara doesn’t really have anything to do when she isn’t working, she’s taken up volunteering at the psych ward. That minor in psychology has to be good for something, right? Even though it’s labor, Zara still considers it a break. This is because she has a lot of time to talk with her volunteer partner and now friend, Renn! They share so many stories with each other, it’s like they’ve known each other for years even though it’s really only been a few months. Zara heavily encourages Renn to commit to her dream of opening a piercing shop. Zara would let Renn pierce her but… there isn’t really much to pierce. Zara has fixed up some of Renn’s ripped clothes, and even made her some new ones! They plan to hang out soon. Zara has always thought about getting into baking, and making new friends would be nice. Maybe she could join her there?
