this is my durge, gwyar. he is very pretty. he's also what i would call a murder himbo. because his characterization is born of me impulse selecting the evilest options available at any given time. he may be stupid. he may be murderous. but i just kind of like him, idk. like he's the playthrough i've gotten furthest in. thankfully, astarion, lae'zel, and minthara have found it within their hearts to put up with him

i went with "role in the story" for this one. i've thought abt this AU a bit before, but i think a lot of things would change if gwyar was sacrificed instead of claret…

The Cooler Claret spawned from a face monster and so i thought it would b cute to have gwyar mutate from a crimera! (<- objectively uncute thing to say). the monsters r somewhat significant bc they represent unfulfilled desires from when they were still ppl, like claret becoming strong enough to protect her home/family and gwyar's desire to be free (hence y she can fly now).

even though claret emerges as an adult in canon, i chose to keep gwyar as a child in the swapped version bc it felt more fitting. clarets new role in the story is similar to gwyars in that she aims to purge the crimson, but where gwyar becomes quite apathetic, claret takes on a much crueler personality... 😔

Desire, ghost, nightmare?

Doing this for Arthur babyyyyyyy, and also, because I am on Gwalchmai kick, Gwalchmai! (Been re-editing and like I love him.)

desire: What's one thing your OC wants more than anything in the world? Are they open with that desire? Why or why not? What would they do to fulfill it?

For Arthur, it's definitely the fact that he wants to be king. That's solidly up there even though his parents and Emrys have dragged him to do it. It's all he's ever known, it's literally etched into his blood, so he legit Needs to do it. He's honestly really open with that because let's not forget he's a blockhead youth of sixteen so he's telling every fucker alive he's gonna be king, and I think, honestly, he wouldn't kill for it but he'd maim if he had to! It's war, he'll fight enemies, he'll beat down others. The only thing he wouldn't do is kill kids.

For Gwalchmai it's definitely trying to get Arthur to admit what he did, as well as becoming a great warrior. He's a little less hot-headed than his cousin though, so tends to be more reconciliatory although this does mean he's also roped into Arthur's schemes more often than he'd like to be, so I also think he really wants to get out of Arthur's shadow but that's for a later book. Also, yes, I do absolutely think he would go feral if pressed. I have talked about how in the Mabinogion Gwalchmai is legit the most peaceful man in existence but we forget that he's a giant killer. He will be a sneaky shit if necessary to accomplish his goals.

ghost: Who or what haunts your OC? What happened? How do they live with their ghosts?

Nobody haunts them yet BUT they will. (Uthyr will haunt Arthur, and Llewdwn Gwalchmai. Their dads are super super important to these lads and I think they're constantly compared to them every damn day. Can't say much cuz I'm still wringing things out!)

nightmare: What does your OC have nightmares about? How do they deal with their nightmares? Do they tell people, or keep it to themself?

Arthur constantly has nightmares until Gwyn and Dylan come on the scene, normally about Emrys and what he did to him as a kid. (Again, spoilers!) He's keeping thst shit to himself because nothing can touch the Pen y Draig, the son of Uthyr Ben. He's got to be fuckin unassailable lest the men see him as a weakling.

Gwalchmai, in contrast, doesn't have nightmares but he has night terrors once his mother announces that she's pregnant again. He can't work out why but he suspects it's because the gods are displeased. He tells his little brother, Gwalhafed, and they're both like 'ehejdjdj' because what can this MEAN? Their mum, Gwyar, would also get told but not by them. She'd worry about him though because that's her firstborn boy and he's not telling her why he's being troubled by gods-given nightmares.

Gwyar KiChisuke is my Demon Slayer OC

This is a sketch of her when I dabbled in the Demon Slayer style myself, so it should help some with drawing in that style!

PS: Just a heads up if you want to color her, I don’t have a physical color palette for her at the moment, but her skin is a slightly light brown (like Hispanic skin tone, if that makes any sense), her eyes are purple, and her hair is similar to Mitsuri’s, only it’s a dark brown base fading into a gradient dark red at the tip of her ponytails.

What are the 'canon' routes for your ocs? I know they're based off of interactive novels so I was just curious!

asdkjhkj I feel like this is gonna say a lot more about my type than anything else but I'll give a small snippet for each of my ocs.

Carcel Devereaux: They were designed to be tall, stoic, and unbreakable. This means that I had to pair them up with Felix and Mason lol. Felix is the only one capable of having the patience of cracking open that hardened detective shell... and it was really interesting to see a route where Carcel could be bold with Mason. A real FwB to relationship thing. Throughout this, I can see either Adam or Felix being their bestie- depending on the route.

Ines Santiago: She was made to be both Nate and Adam's routes, although I'm still debating on how she'll behave in a LT route. Her best friend is probably Mason throughout each of her routes. I just like the idea of her brightness melting at du Mortain a little, and how flustered she'd get with Nate. Plus the height difference is cute so...

Kulîlk Teyran: Though she is set up to be open to any relationship, I initially used and created her for a high romance X run. Also, the moment X/D poly is available she will, in fact, be on it.

Jayce Wiseman: He was made during my high family relationship route and I paired him with Gray since Jayce had a childhood crush that he never acted on. It's honestly really cute seeing them interact when I play Mind Blind

Niamh Venegard: Arthur and Gwyar poly most definitely. Although there are like, 1.5 chapters available, her journey is all about finding a proper home for herself and Arthur is the character to help her do that. Plus, she already has an amiable relationship with Gwyar so...

Talon Vespero: This one is a 50-50 split between Vethna and Syfyn with a past relationship with Syfyn. It depends on my mood but I like his dynamic with both since he plays that bodyguard trope and childhood best friend trope so well.
