iwant to make a slideshow or something to gush properly about my favorite artists here but i wont make a slideshow iwill just listthem and tryto say a clear amount about each one

most ofwhat inspires me is shapes and like balance of detail and simplification, colors and compostion.. just somuch,... ouh..

alot ofthese are gonna be 'love how they simplify things' because i add too many details and lines and make a drawing stiff and i cant like, see the drawing underneath allthe load-bearing details gfsfgs

@wigglybug im not biased because thisis my wife he is just also my favorite artist and i adore everything about her colors, character designs, stylization of shapes especially, like with just a few lines she can make very visually pleasing but informing shapes, inspires me to draw more just for the fun of it, and somuch more but icant talkabout murphy onthis post anymore itwill go on forever

@sarakipin inspires me to keep shapes clear & bold but also so delicate details and design & scene elements, also makes me wantto make more full scenes, with backgrounds and more ambitious illustrations

@siins STYLIZATION fun shapes and expressions its all so dynamic but very solid, with bold lines and bright colors its just wonderful like every character is immediately recognizeable and so fun

@slowopoke gosh shapes colors movement and ilove their style, and warm colors i love warm colors in art. very clean but rough scratchy lineart in a soft way? its very good, also another onethat makes me want to simplify my shapes and art more to leave room for details

@peachdeluxe linework, goodd character designs and clear fun expressions, i LOVE how they stylize hair, clothing folds and coloring is just delightful

@cherryspliced again, very clear shapes and character designs, very EXPRESSIVE too and it all feels so solid like their fanart feels like its his own ocs

@thetrashppl inspired me to loosen up shapes and lines and make more dynamic expressions and lines, like rougher but clear sketching, and has a delightful artstyle like very sharp but also round and solid

I feel like it seriously benefitted from having book and tentpole movie releases at the start of social media culture, and those old facebook "Which (Blank) are You?" quizzes. Their was a huge cast of characters to project onto, and the whole Miggs Bryer thing with getting sorted into houses based on personality traits.

It was easy for teens to define themselves by Hogwarts house. It was a little identifier badge to put on a profile that started conversations. It was also easy to insert oneself or an OC into the story. People could make memes about it and everyone else would get the joke.

They also had high caliber actors, directors, and effects teams add dimension to the story which gave it gravitas. People like Ralph Fiennes added so much more personality to their characters than was ever in print. One of the genuinely good moments in the movies was an improvised dance to a Nick Cave song.

A year or so before we found out she was a bigot, I remember trying to read the books as an adult and realizing it was two dimensional and mediocre compared to other works.

Being a cultural phenomenon brought more to the story than was actually there. The good stuff had nothing to do with what she actually wrote.

I wasn't allow to read the Harry Potter books until I was like 12, so while I really liked them for a time, it was mostly because of all the hype I was given. As I branched out more into better-written fantasy stories, I kind of just forgot about them.

Totally devoid of the author and the goblin thing (which I know we aren't supposed to be taking it devoid from but still) I think that nearly every bit of worldbuilding, lore, story, etc fails hard and few if anything is really as good as it could be in the hands of a better author. Like HP is popular because it dropped as a way for people to live out their fantasies of secretly having powers at a very specific moment that lead to it exploding not because it's good.

Fun fact: (Y/n) knows that she has an inheritance when she was younger, but keeps it a secret, so people ont see her as a trust fund kid. Her aunt gave her access to it when she gained a job and rarely uses it unless she feels like being kind (which can be not rare sometimes).

Expect, (L/n) does not know that Steve has a lot of pictures of her due to secretly buying and bringing his own camera film when the two are together and have a camera. His favorite picture is on the gif banner, can you guess which one? Hint: it’s green.

Nancy “Nance” Wheeler

She then discovered that she always able to make it home on time due to setting a timer 30 minutes before the set time so, she knows when to head home. This only happens if she goes out after evening.

Jonathan “Jon” Byers

Fun fact: Jonathan is one of the reasons why (Y/n) has an obsession with camera and was the first one to be taken a picture of with her first camera. After that, they like to take pictures together when they have free time and switch pictures sometimes.
