their names are Leander and Lev and they're my mahariels. Lea and Lev for short if u will - they're twins and Leander has a habit of getting himself into trouble (see: grey wardens) and Lev follows him bc he's her brother and she will NOT allow him to walk into danger alone no sir not gonna happen. Lev is a ranger and Leander is a mage, and even though they do squabble a lot they would do anything for the other. they're both redheads, Leander romances Zevran, and Lev is taller than her brother and will not let him forget it. in conclusion

say hello to the first Official Canon Characters aboard the HIVE o7 (joking, but they are legit ocs which is kinda weird to say 👀)

random lore + some extra tidbits below the cut

OKAY this is all pretty loose bc i don't wanna get top restrictive with it, the vagueness is half the fun. but here's what i got:

in the “HIVE canon”, sector heads/ranking officers (which for now is just leander and COL ig until i eventually cave and make more lmao) are specifically given custom uniforms and number prefixes instead of the CR[insert number here] format.

the “M” in front of leander’s stands for medbay. COL didn’t pick one so it’s just his name lol.

crewmates can wear any accessories they want as long as the base uniform stays the same (bee arm patches, grey, etc). all crewmate numbers gotta start with CR to be canon, but that doesn't apply to shitpost comics or like. general vibes

(there’s a reason the crew uniforms are grey. it’s the same reason leander made the captain’s gloves. )

the ship shuffles itself! it's not random all of the time, sometimes you open a door and end up in the room you were heading to like a shortcut, but other times you can open a random door and end up in the kitchen, or the training hall, etc etc. i just think an eldritch abomination ship is funny.

weirdly enough though it doesn’t do this in crisis situations. guess it’s only fun if the pranks are harmless ;;

if you get lost, call the captain (ello! o7) or COLONY over comms. they can generally get you wherever you need to go bc COLONY is directly connected to the ship and the captain’s able to make [INQUIRIES], which let us pass freely.

it’s kind of hard to tell if leander has a similar ability. the running theory is no, but he never seems confused?? when he enters a room?? so either he has one or he really just rolls with the punches. both are equally possible tbh.

in actual lore these two were probably some of if not the first few people to be recruited. obvs that’s a retcon now but shhh.

random characters from fandoms still get dragged into our shenanigans. at the end of the day this is all just for fun, and that’s one of the best parts, so hell yeah i’m keeping it.

I finally sat down and tried to make a character card with my Touchstarved MC, Daniella! Do I know how to draw? No. Do I know how to edit? Also no. But is that going to stop me from trying to make one? Absolutely not! 🗣

I spent way too long on these,, 🥹 I hope the quality isn't too botched,, For the radial chart, I'll have to draw it out by hand later, because try as I might, I could NOT wrap my head around trying to edit it ✊

the skull here is actually modeled closely after a deer skull, just compressed to fit a dog's overall face shape. also tried to make the eyes a little less wide-set than a deer's without making them completely front-facing like a dog's. here's the rest of the (still un-rendered) body:

Oooo, this seems cool!! 👀 To twist it up a little bit, instead of me, I tried to do this with my MC Daniella! (Who I still need to make a post about,, 🥲) I wanted to see how accurate it was with how I envision her relationships with them-

She's an INFJ-A, so!:

Kindred Spirits: Leander (ENFJ), Kuras (INFJ)

Intriguing Differences: Elyon (INTJ)

Potential Compliments: Mhin (ISTJ)

Challenging Opposites: Ais (ISTP), Vere (ESFP), Sen (ISTP)

Vere being a Challenging Opposite for Daniella is honestly not surprising to me 💀 Out of the whole main cast, Dani has the most tension with Vere orz

Leander and Kuras make sense!! She gets along with them well 👌

I am a little surprised to see Ais in Challenging Opposites, but the more I think about it, his placing does make sense! Daniella is really intimidated by Ais at first (not to mention, she doesn't exactly approve of his tendency to start fights with others-), and if she doesn't get rid of that initial intimidation of him, she may try to steer away from him (Despite this, I do see them getting along surprisingly well-)

Mhin's placing also makes sense - Dani and Mhin get off to a rough start, but they eventually warm up to each other! :D

We don't know much about Elyon or Sen, but I'm trying to come up with scenarios/reasons why Sen would be placed as a Challenging Opposite for Daniella,,, Maybe their personalities simply don't mesh well like the site says, or Dani discourages Sen's goal to die (perhaps it conflicts with her personal beliefs,, and/or she simply doesn't want to see someone die 💀) which causes contention between them?? (If Dani is one thing though, it's that she's very insightful and reflective, so I can see her trying to understand Sen's viewpoint)

I am surprised to see Elyon as an Intriguing Difference, though! But I guess that's what the name implies,, Their backgrounds are incredibly different (Dani: A sheltered temple girl learning about the world + Elyon: A brothel owner 💀 And according to fandom theories, possibly an incubus/dragon 💀) But a relationship with Elyon and Dani would be really interesting!! I can't wait to learn more about him and Sen >:D

For the heck of it, I decided to read more about Daniella and Mhin's relationship (since Mhin is Dani's main LI), and I found some quotes that I thought were super accurate/generally interesting!:

"The two of you have some very fundamental differences in how you see things, and this can make getting along a challenge for both of you. That's not to say you shouldn't be friends; in fact, you might find that spending time with this person introduces you to ways of thinking that help you learn and grow.
