REFUGEFM PLOT DROP — PART ONE: TWO MEETINGS... 21st DECEMBER 1984.

It's supposed to be a nice evening. The copies of the daily prophet recieved this morning may put a dampner on it. How can one set aside their fear when they have just recieved news that things are getting worse and worse across the border, when they have just recieved news that their friends, or maybe even family members, are being held captive. As the sun goes down and night settles in across the country, a large portion of the magical community in Scotland gathers at the Morgana School for Magical Children. This plan has been in place for a long time now: it is Narcissa Black's second annual celebration of the Winter Solstice and the start of the Yule season. She is leading the students of the Morgana School, as well as their parents, in a celebration — and a beginner's astronomy lesson. The grounds of the Morgana School, at the old Black Manor somewhat close to Hogwarts, are beautiful and gleaming under the dark sky. Golden telescopes glint against magical lights, and the children are happy. Some of them are muggle born, some of them are half-bloods. The headmistress does not discriminate. They smile as they look up at the clear night sky. Inside the school, inside the house in a cozy drawing room — The Order of the Phoenix holds a tense meeting. So many of their members are being held captive by Tom Riddle — and no one can figure out exactly how they're supposed to save them. None of their spies can tell them where the prisoners are being held. Sirius Black insists that it isn't Azkaban, but they haven't been told exactly where the specific prison may be. Albus Dumbledore assures the Order that hope is not lost. Hope can never be lost, as long as brave men and women are willing to fight for justice. They will find a way to save their friends, they all vow, even if it is the last thing they do. They all just have to hope that the prisoners won't be killed before it's too late. 'We have to do it', people whisper, 'For Caradoc, for Peter, for Mary, for Edgar, for Gideon...' Meanwhile... on the other side of the border, a conspiracy of Death Eaters is afoot. They gather in dark clothing. Hooded. They have smiles on their faces and laughter in their lungs. They speak of the mission, of the purpse that Tom Riddle has given them. The glory of the world they are building. Their prisoners have given them precious clues, though against their will, about how they can hit Albus Dumbledore where it really hurts. They have a Yule celebration to attend, and they're going to be fashionably late...

PART TWO: AN ATTACK... 21st DECEMBER 1984.

The attention of the Order of the Phoenix is drawn away from their discussions when the laughter of children turns into screaming. Panic fills the air as dark cloaked figures apparate onto the grounds of the Morgana School. Parents scramble to get a hand on their child, to usher them away to safety. Narcissa Black and the other adults responsible for the event launch into action, fighting the Death Eaters to give the children time to escape. The Order joins the fight, and its a brutal one. Many are hurt before they manage to drive the Death Eaters away from the school and establish new wards to keep them out. The Death Eaters go easily enough at the end of the day. It seems like they wanted to send a message more than anything else: we can get to you anywhere, and we won't stop until we crush you, not even your children are safe in their schools. The cleanup takes hours, and there is a relief when the order learns that no children were harmed in the attack. The same can't be said for the parents and Order members who were hurt fighting off the Death Eaters. The atmosphere is tense, and almost frantic, but everyone knows that they won't stop fighting either, not until they have chased the dark away from the society they all love so much.

This plot drop specifies events happening on the evening/night of the 21st of Decmeber, 1984. You can feel free to set your threads before or after this plot drop, as well as during. You can expect the Yule celebration to have gone on for 1-3 hours before the Death Eaters attack the Morgana School. Anyone playing a Death Eater can also set their threads during the covert Death Eater meeting before and after the attack. Any threads set specifically during or directly after/in response to this plot drop should be tagged appropriately to indicate that. The second plot drop for this roleplay will be posted early next week.

Biography As a child, she was filled with wonder at each new day for each new day answered one curiosity and brought a hundred more in its place. her eyes would widen almost comically when she discovered something not easily explained or something she was not ready to understand. not all discoveries were great — both in the sense of size and meaning. finding out her mother had been santa claus all along was meaningful for a brief period in her life. but it also meant her mother loved her enough to let her believe in magic just a little bit longer before age and the loss of wonder would inevitably catch up with her. her elder sister calling her a freak for the first time seemed like such a small thing at the time — just a bit of name calling between siblings who spent too much time together — but was instead a cruel beginning to a tumultuous relationship with someone that she had always assumed would be there for her. even that could not kill her thirst for life and all the adventures it would bring. most discoveries were great ones, ones that filled her imagination to the brim with the many possibilities of life. but every child must grow up and discover for themself that the magic they had clung to as children was gone forever and replaced with the monotony of adult life. but for a lucky few, this moment never comes. lily evans was one of the few.  for much of her life, lily has heard the same few words used to describe her. passionate, charming, intelligent, and above all, kind. she has a heart full of fire, offering warmth to those close to her and scorching remarks to those in the wrong. she wasn’t perfect by any means, of course; she was the first to admit that. she wasn’t one to shy from confrontation, especially if another was being wronged. of course, that meant she probably inserted herself into situations when she shouldn’t, but lily was never one to let a perceived bully win. she was stubborn as a mule, as her father always told her, but she wasn’t completely unwilling to change. she’s never struggled to forgive another, but she never forgets what they’ve done to her. but she was so full of life, always wanting to reach higher and higher for whatever was just out of reach. independence almost seemed strange to lily. leaving hogwarts and losing her parents so close to her own entry into the adult world along with the rise of someone who would threaten the entire world truly shaped the way lily began to view the world. she optimistic, but not naive about what was going on in the world. as a child, she had always been told that good always triumphed over evil in the end. as a teenager, she learned that while good may win, there will always be losses. and now? well, things have certainly changed. lily had always been convinced in happy endings, had known everything would be okay in the end. but now it feels like they are approaching the end of the story, and there’s no happy ending in sight.

Headcanons:

Lily got a cat shortly before her sixth year at Hogwarts. It was a small thing, the runt of the litter, but she fell in love anyways. It wasn’t supposed to survive, but she recognized the determination and will to live and bottle fed him until he was healthy. She named him Apollo, but calls him Paul and brought him back to Hogwarts with her, calling him her good luck charm. She's had him ever since.

While she is working with the Order, she is also in training to become a Healer at St. Mungo's.

Her parents died during her seventh year at Hogwarts in a car accident. Something so mundane when the world was filled with magic was something that never quite made sense to her. She threw herself into her studies afterwards as a way to cope.

Lily’s favorite band is and has always been The Beatles mainly due to her parents. They'd always play old records while making Sunday morning breakfast, and laugh while dancing around the kitchen. After her parent's deaths, she inherited that record player and od records, and they never fail to cheer her up. Some of her favorite memories include The Beatles playing in the background.

Lily's boggart has changed over the course of her life. When she was a child, it would have taken the form of the boogeyman her father told her stories about. While she was in Hogwarts, it took the form of Petunia turning her back on her. However after leaving Hogwarts and seeing the direction the wizarding world may be heading, when people actually started dying, it took the form of her loved ones perishing while she stood by and watched.

The only way I could see Sebastian being in the next Hogwarts Legacy game is whether you decide to turn him in or not tell, the ministry still finds out and holds a trial against him and MC has to go as a witness and testify for him.

This would open up a new map or location being able to visit the ministry of magic.

I think the ministry would settle on not sending Sebastian away but agree on revoking him of wand use.

So In 6th year, he would be more dependent on MC since he doesn't have a wand.

I also think this would open up new NPC dialogue like hearing students whispering about Sebastian being sent to Azkaban over the summer (which would be false) maybe theirs a side quest where a student asked you about it and you can play into it or stick up for Sebastian.

maybe since Sebastian has been revoked of wand use he takes this time to learn wandless magic allowing you to have quests with him (so he's not useless on quests.)

Idk just some thoughts I wanted to share with you all.

Side note: him learning wandless magic might not be as crazy as you think because the restricted section in the library host a few books on wandless magic.
