And YES all 3 are shaded differently, I wasn't going to shade this but ended up doing it on a whim so there's zero planning OR consistency azchjj I haven't drawn any of these three in a long time, was nice. On a whim a 3rd way through decided to make this look like a cutesy YouTube thumbnail you'd see for a cover, even left room for a video to be pasted in the corner Also I didn't look up anyone's height or references before I sketched the pose so they're probably super off (I just remembered Akihiro was about 5 ft). Random extra at the end of Kei with more pink leaning hair since I usually colored it pink traditionally since I didn't have soft purple pencils

Oh boy, my Sentai Kick is back. XD Some time in August, I had came up with the rough concept for my own Sentai Team: Denchi Sentai Starman (Battery Taskforce Starmen) or "Power Rangers: Energize". I didn't INTENTIONALLY plan for them to be my main OCs, but I did use them as a sort-of springboard for their personalities. I don't recall if I ever posted the original plans I had for their suits anywhere, but I wanted to bring this to life! So, I did!

I apparently never came up with a solid explanation for their powers, but I'd imagine they'd ALL have electric-themed abilities. They'd have the same powers and move sets, but they'd utilize them differently. Like, Jam would use her powers to augment her strength by stimulating her muscles and Trace would use his to augment his speed. They could BOTH do this, but each would have a specialty and if someone were to introduce new innovations on these techniques, it'd be them and the others would copy/learn from them. In a way, it'd be like how in Fire Force, everyone has fire powers, but they all do it differently.

And now that I reached the final phase of those suits...I kind of think they need to be tweaked a LITTLE bit. Mostly just making the scarves silver instead of gold. I think it's so they'd go with the trunks better, which I DO think look better as silver than gold, both cause Trace is yellow and cause of all the gold accents.

Their suits take inspiration from both various Sentai Teams as well as some Kamen Rider and Superhero Influences.

Though, I also kinda wanna take away the star motif on everyone, save for Jango. If I were to make this into an original thing and not a Sentai thing, I'd probably give everyone a card suit for their chest logo instead of Jango's star mark. I'd call the "series" 'Thunderforce' or something like that. I'd then double down on the electricity/battery idea and have them go by 'StarThunder', 'DiamondThunder', 'SpadeThunder', 'HeartThunder', and 'ClubThunder'.

OR, maybe the star motif works better? IDK, but if I keep up with this concept, we'll see.

Though speaking of being indecisive, I never exactly came up with villains for this series. I came up with two concepts though. Either villains that drain electricity or Dinosaur-themed Cyborgs that pollute the air with smog, kind of a dig on fossil fuels and how harmful they are in the long run. Guess that's something to work on. Could always go the route of Lunatics Unleashed and just have a rogues gallery.

he’s a former wage mage but he quit/ran away because he was in a troublesome abusive not-corporate-approved relationship with his boss. and now he’s just into shadowrunning and slinging spells as a mage. can’t let go of the stupid expensive fashion though.
