I've been infected with another fictional man the way in which I pumped this out was ridiculous. I happened to re watch the scene in the movies where the government breaks into the mansion and seeing Piotr act like a big brother/dad to all the kids really got to me. That and the Deadpool movies (even though I thinks he's a little stuffy in those.) I even rewatched the episode he had in the animated series so that I knew I would get his character right and DAMN ugh god I juts have a thing for big men with soft hearts. especially the ones who are family oriented.

ALSO HOLY SHIT TY FOR 600 FOLLOWERS???? when did yall get here???? I swear I was at like 48 two weeks ago lmao time flies when you're thirsty for the X men I guess!! TWs: None? No pronouns mentioned but I went ahead and labeled it as fem because it's basically about kids forcefully adopting you as their mom. Kids having night terrors mentioned.

Can you imagine sort of just being adopted by the students at the mansion as mutant mom?? At that point you don't really get a choice. Like you start out being very patient with these kids and making sure to keep bandaids, burn cream, pain meds and all of that because one way or another something is gonna happen- and you want to be prepared.

And then you start making breakfast. I feel like normally they probably have a schedule for who has breakfast duty but if you wake up and can't go back to sleep and you take over no one really cares. More sleep for them!!

And then a few times turns into every morning. And you're setting out ketchup for one kids eggs and syrup for another ones hashbrowns- and making sure not to cook with nuts and make sure there's at least three different things on the table that are Kosher or gluten free. Keeping an eye on everyone as they come to get food and noting who did and did not make it to breakfast this morning so that you can make sure they eat later-

And one day you're waking up at 5am and getting ready for the day so you can go make breakfast like always, and you look in the mirror at some point and just realise, holy fuck, when did you become a parent?

It's such a regular thing for kids to call you mom at that point, a knowing how so many of them have come from rough backgrounds, it makes you really happy to know they find comfort in you and will come find you if they need comforting.

And then there's Piotr. Big, strong, Piotr. Piotr who wakes up before dawn and does chores around the mansion in the early morning air. You can take the man out of the farm, but you can't take the farm out of the man. He does the lawn care, chops wood, takes care of whatever animals that might need feeding, replaces the feed in the bird feeder.

Piotr who makes sure to stop by the kitchen to share a small cup of coffee with you before he does chores. Piotr who hangs Hummingbird feeders right outside the kitchen windows because you mentioned you missed the ones your grandmother used to hang. Just Piotr, being strong and masculine and an absolute sweetheart.

He reminds me of that one quote that heard somewhere about masculinity being about protecting femininity, not rejecting it??? That one!!!

Kids call him dad all the time, and even though yall aren't even together, you become the parents of the school. Scott and Jean?? Love them, but they don't have that same kind of parent energy.

It's such a regular thing for kids to find the two of you interacting one way or another. Someone woke up way too early and enters the kitchen to find yall during your coffee, and there's a sweet moment with yall telling them to go back to bed, or offering to make them a quick breakfast. Maybe if they're really young Piotr will offer to tuck them in. He might be really blunt when telling them there are no monsters, but will be a little more gentle when you set a hand on his arm and give him a bit of a look.

The kiddo asks for both of you to tuck them in and you obviously aren't going to refuse them. Which leads to everyone wanting both of you to tuck them in and soon enough you two are doing curfew checks instead of the professor.

It's becomes so regular for the students to treat you two as their parents, and no one actually believes it when they find out that no, you're not a couple. So, they do what kids do and try to get you two together.

First it starts with making sure you two are sat together during everything they can get away with. Then it moves on to things like mistletoe (out of season, Piotr mistook it as an accidental bloom made by one of the agrokinesis kids and took it down) and then more mischievous plans like telling one of you that the other needed help with one thing or another, knowing that either one of you would help out at the drop of a hat. Sureee, they were lying, but you two didn't know that. (most of the time)

The kids just want to see their parents happy and in love. There's nothing wrong with that, is there? It's not like You and Piotr hadn't been helplessly pining for the other the entire time anyway.

You sigh deeply once you finally sneak out of the dorm room, Piotr right behind you. The tall man takes extra care to shut the door very gently, making sure it clicks in place just as silently.

"I thought we were never going to get her to sleep." You whisper to him. One of the youngest girls attending the school had a rather difficult time with night terrors, and would struggle to fall asleep without being tucked in. When you and Piotr were doing curfew checks tonight, she was the only kiddo still awake, and she had practically begged both of you to stay with her untill she finally did fall asleep. It couldn't be just one of you, It had to be both. No matter how many rooms you both had to check tonight, you would never have left her shaken up in such a state. You just hadn't expected it to take an hour.

"Illyana had similar dreams as a little one. It takes time for children to overcome it." Piotr whispers back as you begin to walk down the hallway to check the rest of the rooms. Even when he whispers, his voice is strong and hard to keep quiet. You know there's truth to what he says, and yet you can't help but wish you could do something more to help her with her nightmares. You rub some warmth into your arms anxiously as you think about it, surprised when you feel the warm weight of Piotr's hand settle in between your shoulder blades.

"You're worrying again." He states, frowning slightly when you look up at him. You send him a resigned smile, before it quickly falls as you look away.

"I can't help it. I worry about all of them, her especially. They just... deserve so much more than their lot in life." You say. Piotr hums in response, his thumb brushing idly against your back.

"Their life like us, you mean? Mutants?" His question makes you wince.

"No. Yes? I don't know. I just... I just wish that we could give them more than... this." You say, waving your hands to motion about the mansion. "The school might very well be the only safe space they have their entire life. The world hasn't been kind to them, and I'm not sure it ever will be." Your words begin to quiet down as you finish the sentence, lowing to a whisper that only he can hear. You'd never, ever want any of these kids hear a word of what you're saying. Knowing that hope is really all they have at their age, and you of all people refuse to be the one to destroy that beautiful childlike optimism.

"That is what we are working for as the X-men, yes? To change that?" Piotr asks you point blank, his hand moving up towards the back of your neck in a soothing manner that still gives you goosebumps, feeling the comforting heat of his hand even stronger than before.

"Yeah, but..."

"Then we are doing all we can." He finishes, a smile on his face that's so determined and confident that it very nearly changes your mind completely. Nonetheless, it's a reassuring smile that makes your chest feel warm and fuzzy. You smile back at him finally, and you swear you see fondness in his eyes.

It doesn't take long before the two of you are finally at your door. You give Piotr a short and sweet goodnight as you begin to step inside, but he stops you before you go, gently catching hold of your arm. For the first time, you think you've seen him debate on his words. His mouth opens, but he doesn't speak at first, and you swear you see a blush rising to his cheeks as he does so.

"You'd make a good mother." He says eventually, and it makes you smile widely.

"You'd make a good dad." You tell him. There's silence between you as he brushes a stray lock of hair away from your face in a fond and caring manner, and you swear you could trick yourself into believing that you and Piotr were already in domestic bliss if this moment goes on for any longer. The tall man leans in, and you find your mind short circuiting as he presses a kiss to your forehead. The simple action somehow leaving you beyond flustered.

"Sleep well, Любовь моя. I will see you in the morning." Piotr tells you, before walking off at his regular stiff pace. You stand in your doorway for a minute, watching him leave with a bit of a confused smile on your face. Out of all the Russian nicknames he's called you in the past, you had never heard him say that one before. You wonder if you should pick up a book on the language as you close your door and finally crawl into bed, although part of you is content to leave it be. Colossus had always been blunt, and you're sure he'd tell you eventually. You fall asleep just as you always do, excited to see him when you wake up in the morning.

YANDERE BAKUGOU FAMILY HEADCANNONS (Platonic)

There would be NO DOUBT that they would ALL be HELLA OVERPROTECTIVE about you 

I mean, Masaru would be kinda chill actually compared to Mitsuki and Katsuki. He won't freak TF out if you talk to other people and have fun with your friends and he's the most lenient one in the family and he doesn't give a damn what you wear. He likes seeing you in all sorts of clothing and thinks his darling little daughter looks good in whatever she wears and won't force you to do anything 

But when it comes to the question of sleepovers and going to other people's houses WITHOUT EITHER one of the Bakugou's to accompany you is a big no go. They're worried that something might happen to you if you step out of the house and they half wish you'll stop trying to be apro hero. Why be a hero and put your life at risk while you have the big strong Ground Zero as your brother and 2 parents who are perfectly capable of protecting the youngest Bakugou?

Mitsuki, on the other hand will treat you like a child along with Katsuki. Everyone loves spoiling the shit outta you and Mitsuki likes dressing you up in cutesy cutesy little outfits. Mitsuki however will NEVER allow you to break rules like disobeying her when she says no to something and sneaking off with your friends. She simply will NOT tolerate rule breaking and even if you DO manage to sneak around her back, your brother Katsuki will always be there to 'get you on the right track' even if he has to use his quirk on you. They just want what's best for you after all

They are self aware yanderes and their relationship towards you is unhealthy and delusional and they KNOW it but they have to protect you from the horrors of the world. If you used to attend the UA, you bet Katsuki had something to do with why your mom suddenly wanted you to drop out and take a break for sometime and soon that 'break' turned into a never ending relaxing vacation at your home for you. You won't be working anytime soon while they're around that's for sure and while Masaru talks to you, Katsuki and Mitsuki will be busy preparing food for you guys to eat. They don't want you going in the kitchen, what if you accidentally hurt yourself or boil or burn yourself?

You can hate him all you want for it but he just wants what's best for his youngest sibling. He loves and cares about you too much and he won't cuss around you so much either since he actually rather enjoys your innocence.  Being in relationships is COMPELTELY off the table for you. They will NEVER allow you to date and if you are in a relationship in secret, oh... what a shocker, that scumbag broke up with you the next day? Well, you can BET your allowances your OWN family was behind it but they'll just comfort you as they get you and give you whatever you want

The house will be full of baby pictures of you and Katsuki and you all as a happy family. They'll have guests over a few times but they can't ever let someone try taking you away from them so they'll try limiting the time of the guest's stay in their household instead of maniacally killing them. They won't let pro heroes enter their house either and will come up with INFINITE excuses as to why they can't come in. They just don't want to lose you

My poor baby Levi. After all that, he blamed himself. It's perfectly understandable for him to be upset about MC trying to leave. And yet he was convinced that he didn't deserve to feel that way. Please my heart can't take any more of this.

HOWEVER.

We didn't even get to see his Little D at all. I wonder if we'll see him at some point after the flood? It just seems like we've met everyone else's...

ALSO.

A looooot of talking about MC's special room this time. I no longer think these are the past brothers/characters. At this point, I think these are all the same characters, even Solomon. That's why we've never seen past Solomon. Because he isn't there.

I think it's some kind of spell/curse/magic that has transported everyone back to the past. (Or a simulated version of the past.) Everyone but Solomon and MC lost their memories, making it so their memories start at that moment in the past that they were sent to. It isn't that they are past versions of the brothers. It's that they're the same versions, but sent to the past with their memories wiped. And yet despite whatever magic did that (or perhaps a deliberate flaw of it), they get vibes from MC's old room.

This is the only explanation that makes sense to me anymore. It's the only way they can have feelings about MC's room, the only way characters like Luke can talk about how it feels right to spend time with Simeon and Solomon, likely the only reason we've never met or had to worry about past Solomon. I think this truth is what Solomon told Simeon at the end of season one (I don't quite remember what lesson it was). I think Barbatos knows because for some reason the magic doesn't work on him, but he's going along with it.

It just doesn't make sense otherwise. In this lesson they discuss how the feelings they get from that room are getting stronger.

I think that when MC has made pacts with all of them again, everybody gets their memories back. And this new experience of the past is the one they remember as reality. A way to retcon the past without changing the OG story.

I know people have speculated about this before, I am not at all the first person to think this is the case. But the more I think about it, the more this seems like the only plausible scenario?

And the only scenario in which we aren't abandoning a version of the brothers that we've come to love. Because it's actually been the same set of brothers all along.

Still have no clue who Nightbringer is or what the purpose of doing any of this is. And I could be way off base here. But I guess we'll see.

Hard Lesson:

I would also like to say that of course Solomon made the inside of the boat a freakin' castle. THOUGH. OH SHIT.

I was legit just gonna talk about how funny I thought that was, but isn't it just another example of the fact that Solomon can create entirely different worlds with magic? Though if Solomon is the one who created another world, it seems weird that his magic would also be declining in that world? Though he can clearly make entire ark-castles so maybe it's not as bad as it seemed?

ALTHOUGH I think it would be very interesting if Nightbringer is using Solomon's magic (or making Solomon use his magic) to create this alternate past. And Solomon's magic is fading because he's using so much of it to maintain that place. (MC's magic fading might be more about trying to impart urgency so they'll make pacts faster.)

ANYWAY. This is all speculation obviously lol. Solomon is a silly guy who loves MC so I think the only way he could be actually involved is if Nightbringer is somehow forcing him. (Like he might do all of that if it's going to, say, save MC's life in the end or something.)

Ugh I'm so tired of speculating lol. Any time I'm like okay but what if...? I end up writing myself in circles trying to figure things out.

This whole Nightbringer thing better be DONE by the end of this season or I am going to be UPSET.

I'm gonna bounce off that last anon for a moment here + your answer to ask... how DO you feel comfortable with the intersex label? And sorry in advance for the long fucking ask LMFAO I've been... having a time for the past few months.

Obviously it's entirely up to the person whether or not they do, but, like... I want to say I'm intersex. I know how important it is for people to be saying they are intersex, and how I've related to the intersex experience on some level even before I even fully comprehended wtf it meant as a teen. It's important to me. But by the grace of god (extreme childhood neglect, and the people around me not really giving a shit about me to mention anything + not knowing what intersex even is), I somehow never had anyone go "yeah something is up" and thus I don't wholly... relate? There's a sort of rift I feel with the community, like I'm not "really intersex" if I haven't dealt with this or that.

I had a deeper voice, I had darker body hair, I got crazy full-body acne, I was fairly physically androgynous! I relate a little too hard to perimenopause advice!! Among other stuff I won't get into because I don't wanna ramble more. For god's sake, from the very few tests I've had my hormones have been doing fuckall whatever for the past godknows how many years and, as I like to joke, my SHBG is probably ripped with how hard it was carrying my insufficient sex hormone levels pre-T. And yet I feel like I'm faking or some bullshit because I haven't faced obvious intersexism or am visibly intersex. It's a little stupid.

So, okay. To TL;DR, I guess: I have turbo imposter syndrome because I'm totally mentally well and without trauma (lie) and feel like I don't deserve to call myself intersex because "what if you aren't though :/ and are co-opting experiences that aren't yours ://". I know something I should internalize is "slow the fuck down" but that is a bit hard with my head going "Okay but you need answers NOW". Any thoughts and/or advice??

I mean you're definitely intersex enough!! If it helps you on your journey, I super duper relate to the traits described. Not everyone *does* experience intersexism before finding out theyre intersex. Some people's traits present completely internally, and they'll experience a different set of life experiences regarding being intersex.

Being visibly intersex and experiencing intersexism aren't the qualifiers to being intersex (just like suffering and misogyny aren't what define womanhood). What made me most confident with calling myself intersex was my girlfriend - she could pretty confidently look at me and say "yeah.... thats intersex" (despite not being confident in her own identity yet). Hearing that confirmation from an outside source can be really affirming!!

I'd say interact with other intersex people, find community, talk in the community, you don't have to come right out and be sure of it before you start engaging with the community - I wasn't.

•What exactly is this AU about?

Its just a funny little AU where not all monsters were locked underground and some went into hiding instead. Some species of monster in this AU can take on human form with their magic, hence why this is possible. Of course, this doesnt stop kiddos, human or monster, from climbing that darn mountain though.

•When is the next page?

Duotale updates every other Friday. Time varies but I try to keep it between 10am and 12pm EST. If either day falls on a holiday, the page will be posted the following day.

•Why is this AU called Duotale?

Because the two main characters are twins, hence the Duo in Duotale. Ok they aren't twins, but they are siblings, born a few months apart. Yes, Strawberry is the Older one.

•Is the player a thing in this AU?

Maybe, maybe not. Depends on the AUs in the Citadel. No one is controlling the Duotale cast though. They've had their own mind and actions from the start. Underplayer is in the Citadel though, if you count them as a player.

●Can my AU be featured in your comic?

Like Kris, the cowboy ghost will be there, but unlike Kris, you won't see him in comic til the end. He will (and has already) pop up on our blog, like Dalv or Star sherrif boi, but in comic, sorry, hes in Asgore's castle and that's so far away right now lmao. But here's how he looks. Yes, he knows the fox stole his hat. He does not know where his gun is, though.

●Will xxx color soul child also be in this AU?

Depends. We already have the Yellow soul decided (obvi). If There's another colored child you wanna see pop up as a canon-to-duotale ghost at the end of the comic you can ask, but so far only Clover and MAYBE Marine(Patience soul) but the lore is off that comic might contradict yellow or ours so that's undecided. Any other kids so far would be only seen in the MVC. We're trying not to pick kids in full existing sets so thats why Clover and maybe Marine are our only choices so far. We are more likely to make up the rest tbh. No more red souls though beyond cameos. Red souls work a special way in our AU and there's not a lot (if any) that can fit that requirement.

•Can other ghosts see Chara/Luci?

Yes. And she can see said other ghosts. Strawberry can only see those that she summons and Blackberry can see ghosts as well. Frisky can sense spirits near him but obviously cannot see them.

●Why do some characters have rings around them?

That just means they're dead. Ghosts. Spirits that didn't move on to heven or hell. The ring color matches the color of their soul and doesn't change. Luci, Blackberry, Dalv, and Kris have special rings though. They change color based on emotions. This color changing mood ring is only available to one species and it starts becoming visible around puberty. Luci is fullblooded, hence why her ring is always visible and changing like a rainbow, though Blackie and Kris aren't fullblooded, so their rings might be a bit faultly ha. If you're every curious what the colors mean, you can refer to the link labeled "Luci's mood ring" on the master post. Or a more simplified list ca be found on her teen ref.

•What exactly are the main cast's species?

Blackie is is a halfbreed kitsune vampire, Luci is a purebreed vampire with demonic powers, Strawberry is a tanuki who practices witch magic, and Frisky is a human. He just has a magical scarf to give him wings like redbull. As for Kris... you'll figure it out. No spoilers, sorry lol.

•How did you come up with the idea of Duotale?

Originally this story was gonna be a comic of our own runs in Undertale, showing how they clash and would effect each other. Kinda like thise PMD comics and Nuzlocke animations people make. But somewhere between writing the script and making the first cover art, we changed our minds and made a whole AU instead.

Turigirls: being a trans woman but still feel connected to the gay label, gay bigender individuals, gay genderfluid individuals, fem gay individuals who use girl = fem, femme gays, she/her gays, transfem gays, being cusper between a trans woman and a cis femme gay, being cross-aligned, and many more!

Lesboys: being a trans man but still feel connected to the lesbian label, lesbian bigender individuals, lesbian bigender individuals, masc gay individuals who use boy = masc, butch lesbians, he/him lesbians, transmasc lesbians, being cusper between a trans man and a cis butch lesbian, being cross-aligned, and many more!

Mspec lesbians/gays/straights: using the split attraction model (such as being homoromantic bisexual like you said), being abrosexual and being fluid between those identities, feeling like ones identity is in between said identities (such as being bisexual and gay because they're attracted to any genders besides feminine ones and women, so their identity technically counts as mspec but it can also be considered gay), being duosexual (being both at once) and many more!

Straight gays/lesbians: using the split attraction model, being abrosexual and being fluid between those identities, being duosexual, being bigender so their attraction is both gay/lesbian and straight, being genderfluid so their attraction is both gay/lesbian and straight, feeling like ones gay/lesbian attraction is straight and vice versa, being a man/woman with straight attraction to women/men and gay attraction to men/women but not necessarily being mspec, and many more!

A long time ago when Ansi was a wee lass her father accidentally opened a portal to a neighboring dimension and low and behold a young boy. It wasn't the greatest first meeting (lots of tears from both sides). But over time it got better. They were together for 2 years before Hobie went back to his world.

Did they like each other right away?

Nope. Ansi thought Hobie was weird. Hobie thought Ansi was stuck up. (Little did they know they were both autistic.)

What was their first impression of each other?

Why am I answering this section when I've already established that they're not in a romantic relationship. For fun 🤭. I'm gonna answer the sex one too. Let's irritate some allos today.

I don't know actually. I know they say they adore one another but it's not....like if asked they'll say they respect or admire the other but idk if they ever claim to love one another in public or in private.

Yes. Everywhere but the lips. Honestly it's almost entirely on the hands. The hands thing started out with Ansi ironically kissing Hobie's hand. (It's not ironic anymore.) Lips are too much of a romantic thing for both of them.

Neither. It's funny though because Ansi will run up and scale Hobie to give him a forehead kiss whenever he so desires.

1. rosado is rosado.

by which i mean, rosado absolutely fucks with gender and doesnt care about others' gender definition and criteria. only rosado, the fictional character, can answer this question. i cannot, and i dont think anyone but the writers can definitely say so either.

2. rosado is a symbol of the state of 2023's trans rights in japan

this means rosado is possibly a trans woman who has not transitioned due to the incredibly shit laws of robbing a person of their human rights in real life. he has found his peace, his pace and vibes and really doesnt care about laws and all that. basically ungovernable.

perhaps some HRT is possible. ive heard of people being able to get access to them through the private route over there but obviously its not exactly accessible to everyone.

plus there is a small bias for male okama stereotypes and less trans men in jp media at least from the stuff ive consumed over the past 15 years. so if you ask me thats what i lean towards on instinct.

3. "rosado" is reflective of the reader

ill say this: when it comes to fictional characters who aren't written with a clear, definite label of what they are from an official source, people are free to interpret however they want.

personally, i wont get on and dont want to get on ppls case of how they really want to interpret rosado. at the end of the day, rosado shuns gender norms in the japanese culture context hard and with a big confident happy middle finger.

Score for this ep- absolute 10/10, 11/10 even. So good, so sweet. I love it!!!

Awkwardness rating- I think only like 4/10, the dad seeing them make-out, kind awkward. And then the stalker wall made a return, but awkwardness was heavily reduced since Nuea decided to make it a couple's stalker wall.

*Edit: Turns out this was the finale, and it did feel quite finale-ish while I was watching, but Viki listed 15 episode, but the last episode is just a 'Making of--' thing, so...

Final thoughts of the series as a whole: I really liked it. Like a lot. It's honestly like a 9/10 for me. It is hard to push through the secondhand embarrassment sometimes, so I can see why people struggle with it. Also, the summary on most sites is doing nothing to sell it, for real. As many different types of queer representation are present in this show, it definitely should be hyped more.

I dunno, I may make another post if I have more in-depth thoughts, but I 100% recommend watching. It's fun, silly and full of heart.

when I get so burnt out I just quit masking, the effort to continue walking is one of the first to go. today really brought home the need to be strapped in - even physical arrangements that do not fit me can send me into a ballistic meltdown. I need my chair very badly atp, probably gonna be my main priority behind ofc leaving this place as soon as I can get a good job, and can carry my business onto a chair where I can support myself physically well.

(as an aside, gonna have to inevitably designate sundays as my rest days soon, where no one is to busy me with **anything** on duties, and I can use the whole buffer day to catch up on work and maybe get chores in, instead of wasting my energy. masking is obviously gonna put a mental toll on me, and I don't think it's good for my health to mask all the damn time.)

I just wanna be comfortable with myself, and not put up with bullshit like feeling physically unwell, needing to run around when I don't have the fucking energy to, or focus on my positioning. while constantly being mobile is a redundancy for most (if/when they can afford a good tilt in space chair with enough padding and hopefully prevent pressure sores) I might even risk collapsing to the ground due to all the damn stimuli around me, and harnesses can provide a good form of regulation to guard against meltdowns.

finally, some clarifications on this post (and any further posts that involve harnesses or me being strapped in)

if you need to use mobility aids for whatever purpose, you have your right to have your own feelings and ideas about them!! you can love them, hate them, use them as weaponry against ableists, or in any other way you desire! my beliefs definitely aren't compulsory for everyone - I'm looking for ways to feel comfortable in my own skin really

and of course, being physically disabled is not just another label you can collect!! this desire is (hopefully) not stemming from any physical disabilities of my own, rather just yet another way neurodivergence can manifest. it's fucking beautiful really, if it didn't have to be so difficult to attain.

HAIKYUU SEXUALITY HEADCANONS

Washio Tatsuki: Gay. When I first sat down and decided to give most of these characters a sexuality headcanon, I saw him and my first thought was "yeah there is no way he is into women." So I cannot for the life of me see him as anything other than a functional gay man. He definitely thinks Konoha and Akaashi are very pretty. Also thinks that Inarizaki's #2 middle blocker is very handsome.

Sarukui Yamoto: Bisexual with a female preference. I honestly really ship him with Shirofuku and I have no idea why. I just went "they are totally dating" one day and it's kind of just stuck. But I can also see him getting together with Komi or even just another boy (on his team or not) in general. He's a bit of a bi disaster sometimes but he's mostly functioning. Totally refers to Shirofuku as his wife later in their relationship.

Bokuto Koutarou: Pansexual. Now I know what you're all probably thinking. And I'm not gonna lie and say you aren't right, but you're only half right. I can see Bokuto having the ability to love someone SO much. He loves anyone and everyone. Obviously has a thing for Akaashi but also thinks Konoha is very pretty and handsome. Thought Shirofuku was very beautiful when he saw her for the first time. Total b(romance) with Kuroo.

Akaashi Keiji: Pansexual. I am quite unsure why I think this label fits him so well. Obviously he has an thing for Bokuto, but I can also see him falling in love with Ennoshita or Konoha. Thinks Suzumeda is very pretty as a female and could see himself dating her if he felt any attraction towards her. He's still a bit unsure of his identity, but he likes the label pansexual so he sticks with it despite what anyone else says.

Konoha Akinori: Bisexual with no preference. So I sort of saw him as gay when I first started making headcanon lists. Then I started seeing the potential of him with girls and decided he would be bisexual. Now he has had crushes on every single one of his teammates, cause he just loves easily like that, but Washio, Komi and Akaashi are the only ones still going strong. Thinks the managers are too pretty for this world. Also thinks that Kai is very very handsome and that he wouldn't mind kissing him–

Onaga Wataru: Panromantic Asexual. Now he gives me the vibe of a sex repulsed asexual. He's still a bit nervous about the label though because it's all very new to him. Romantically, I can see him be interested in everyone on the team at least once. Definitely nursed a puppy crush on Bokuto during his first few months as a first year. Thinks Akaashi is very pretty (like everyone else though for real). He thinks Washio is so goddamn handsome it is not even funny, like holy shit please praise his blocks more–

Komi Haruki: Pansexual. Can and will hit on anything that doesn't say no. He's always on the lookout for somebody to love. Has the tiniest little crush on Konoha. Appreciates the fact that both Washio and Bokuto can bench press him with those tree trunks they have for arms. Thinks Onaga is cute but like in a boyish way. Probably had a puppy crush on Suzumeda in their first year after he saw her giggle at something stupid Bokuto did.

Suzumeda Kaori: Straight Asexual. Now contrary to what the rest of the fandom headcanons her as, I just cannot see her crushing on any girls. I also see her as sex repulsed like Onaga, hence her joking with the team about how her and Onaga are the team's "real aces". She's very supportive of her teammates and will punch someone out if they give her team any trouble.

Shirofuku Yukie: Straight. Now I would be lying if I said shipping her with Sarukui had nothing to do with if, but similarly to Suzumeda I just cannot see her being interested in other girls at all. She's very comfortable with herself and her identity and is very supportive of the rest of the team. She does think Bokuto is cute, but in a "not attracted to you" kind of way. Probably dated a boy or two in junior high before Sarukui.

It can’t be anything about stated identity because someone could lie just as easily as they could tell the truth in such a statement, and it makes no sense because homosexuality and heterosexuality exists in other species with no stated identities. The slogan of "born this way" doesn't mean literally being born with the "gay" gene it's about how we have a right to be attracted to whoever regardless of gender and that we can'tchange that (I'm referring to adults only duh)

I can't really explain lesbianism because it has alot of other factors than "me like woman" because everyone experiences their attraction differently

I've met lesbians who aren't attracted to dick and lesbians who does they are both still lesbians

Including alot of other things ofcourse

However having the fear of someone lying about their identity isn't a good idea because then you have to constantly question the validity of someone's identity all the time including yourself which is honestly counterproductive

Sexuality is fluid for alot of people and it can be based on a million things

Bi and pan people are under the multi attraction labels and has been shown to be a werry real thing

In reality understandings that you don't always understand an identity or sexuality is really the way to go because everyone is diffrent and experiences are different as well

radqueers. fun topic, right? haven't mentioned them in a while. i also haven't been posting much here in general because. well. i dunno. i sorta lose my spirit when looking through the proship tag too often. i think, oddly enough, it was my fixation for a while. but obviously it isn't now, because i can hardly tolerate the community enough to glance through the tag.

anyway. a rare moment nowadays, i'm look through the tag. and i always make sure to look in the tags of posts i read because, well. radqueers advertise. most of them are not covert. that's kinda their whole thing. radically open and accepting. to quite literally anyone. even people who claim to be "trans nazi" ! fun.

anyway. saw someone celebrating the fact that they made themselves a binder. cool ! honestly a rare moment of joy amongst the discourse and news stories about war. but i expand the tags, there's lots, not inherently a problem, annoys some people, but whatever. and there's this tiny tag. just a little one. about "trans id". and it really made me stop and think about all that shit again.

my feelings were and still are complex. not that i tolerate radqueers by any stretch of the imagination. even if it is just some poor schmuck that got pulled into the cult because of their radical acceptance. but.

i'll start by saying this. i really do think the "trans-autistic, cis-depressed" shit is actually deranged. i literally cannot think of anything that justifies that. obviously i'm not going to like. make fun of it ? because i mean. if you're using labels like that, there's... probably something going on. and i've read stories from recovering radqueers about how the community fuelled their delusions. so i'm not gonna say anything other than i do not understand it at all and i really don't think there's anything justifying it.

the obsession with "chrono" (chronological) age is also concerning and also rarely justifiable. although i know that some plurals adopt the trans-age label because, well. they aren't just one age, mentally. and they do have a "real" (chronological) age. but again what i see in the radqueer community is shit like minors claiming to be older and adults claiming to be younger and many of them are paraphiles and they're interacting unrestricted and it's just. not. good. i used to go through radqueer confession blogs, and like... i think i have something in my drafts that proves my point about just how deranged and unsafe the community is.

as for trans-abled stuff. people really try to push that it's exactly like being transgender. and i used to be quite sympathetic actually, because. well. trans myself. and i could see how the "but you're mutilating yourself ?!" argument goes both ways. but i stop being sympathetic because. well. i have disabled friends. some born some not. you can become disabled at any time. all it takes is an accident, or an eating disorder, or an illness. or the natural degradation of your body. personally i find my sight is slowly degrading and i'm in no position to do anything to correct it at the moment. which obviously is not the worst situation i could be in. but still. i can't help but think these trans-abled people are inherently privileged. and that they probably don't have many disabled friends. but i'm not going to deny their inherent existence. dysphoria is complex. and if someone thinks they shouldn't have a right arm or that they should have a limp or something ? probably not the weirdest thing. just. i don't know. i would rather these people didn't try to speak over others. especially IF they are in the position to "choose" to be disabled. i don't know. i would like to hear other opinions on this as well.

Books Can Take You Anywhere

Hey there, Old English Spread. All right, Spooky Month's over, time to get back on track with the ol' pony comic reviews, eh? Coz I still got quite a stack to get through here! Thus, we gotta jump backwards a bit from last week and finish out that storyline~

Here's the cover:

All righty, I'm just gonna start by saying this is a good cover. That's first. But then you get into the little bits. Zipp and Pipp are pretty obviously Rarity and Rainbow Dash, and I don't think anyone would disagree with Izzy being the new Pinkie. But Hitch being representative of Applejack? Honestly, I just don't see it. He's way more obviously New Fluttershy, they just don't want to confuse the issue because Fluttershy was so close with Discord. Like, the background's even yellow, when you know AJ would have an orange background.

Yeah, so it's been a while. What was that plot we were chasing? Ponies have got their magic back, thanks to the events of a couple TV specials. Back in the day, though, magic fell out of harmony because of the racisms, and Twilight sealed it all up inside these crystals. The unity of the crystals keeps the magic going, and the unity of the ponies keeps the crystals going. Now, Discord, who has lived all this time, figures a falling out is inevitable, since it happened once before already. So he plans to destroy one of the crystals to erase magic forever. It's a race against the clock, except for all the side content we need to do to keep up that slice-of-life status quo.

We open with Pipp leading the non-her-sister members of the Mane 5 into the old remains of Fluttershy's cottage. She warns them they may not be ready for what's inside. And what's inside? Zipp is in full panic mode, already labelling things like a crime scene. And she's got the crazy eyes. Her friends give her an apprehensive hello. The rest of them file in to help look over everything so Zipp can take a bit of a break. She's gone through every word of every book on the shelf Sunny's looking at. But what about the books that aren't there?

Before we can get too philosophical with that thought, Sunny points out that a particular volume of Daring Do is missing: The Curse of the Basaltic Caves. Pipp looks it up online, since I guess nowadays it's known that all Daring's adventures were based on real life events. But of course, Izzy has random esoteric knowledge, and knows the Basaltic Caves are unknown because they're so hot. The lava flow can melt anything--even a magic unity crystal. That must be Discord's plan. So naturally they're also going to go to the insanely dangerous volcanic caves.

Pipp gets started by ordering a copy of the missing book online and runs off. I guess she's got that same-day delivery. But while she's gone, the remaining four get into a debate about the necessity of magic. Is Discord really evil for wanting to put everyone on equal footing? Uh oh, here's that philosophy debate after all. And while Zipp and Izzy aren't necessarily on the side of destroying magic, if it did get destroyed, would that be so bad? Both the incidents with Izzy earlier in the story are brought up: when they split up in the forest, and when they left her out of skyball.

Fortunately, before the debate can get too heated, Pipp comes back. Damn, that's not just same-day delivery, that's same-hour delivery. Well, like a true content creator, she got ahead by exploiting her fanbase. Two of her Pippsqueaks happened to own a copy and also live nearby, so they delivered it in person. I don't think either of them get named, but they sure can name and exposit about our main cast. You know, just to catch you up nine issues in. Ultimately, they exist only to point out there's tension between Izzy and Sunny.

Hours later, they've ditched the Pippsqueaks and are on their way. Now, if you've ever followed instructions written by someone else, you know how hard it can be. Like, pre-MapQuest era, when your relatives would give you hand-written instructions to their house. This is one step worse: following insructions out of a book. Except not even, because as Sunny points out, this isn't even a direct route to the caves. It's instructions to a canyon they have to pass through to get to the caves. If that's confusing to even read, how do you think Sunny feels trying to direct everypony~?

So naturally the path leads to one of those rickety rope bridges you've seen a thousand times in movies and TV. Hitch takes the book away from Sunny because her adherence to it is making him nervous. He then gets immediately karma'd for this when the bridge breaks as he's crossing it. And of course, everypony's magic starts glitching as he plummets, preventing flight from saving him. They do make it to the caves, but there's a mysterious boulder blocking the way. It has a dial and symbols on it, but Sunny hadn't read far enough ahead to find out the combination. And, judging by the footprints outside, Discord is already here. Luckily for them, the funny chant of nonsensical directions that Izzy memorised from the book and has been repeating this whole time turns out to be the correct combination to open the entrance. Gosh, how convenient! And so the comic ends with the five running inside and finding Discord. Their magic is still on the fritz and his is not, so he traps them in a dangling cage. A literal cliffhanger, if you will~

The plotline's really wrapping up, huh? Honestly, we probably could've spent more issues on the ideas raised by "If magic disappeared, would it be all bad?" instead of the slice-of-life stuff in a couple of the issues. It would've helped the pace, since the taking of breaks from the plot made it less urgent. But now it's all the time urgent, and a bit of that urgency has made coincidence and convenience the plot's friends instead. See, for example, the Pippsqueaks who just happen to have the exact book near enough to help the party in minutes. Dunno why, but that part really stuck out to me for some reason. But all of that stuff is relatively minor, and can be forgiven if they stick the landing, which I guess we'll find out next week~

i might not be the person to answer this, especially bc i'm more rad-adjacent than actual radfem, but i'll try to answer your question abt gnc transmen.

2 things beforehand, tho: 1) i think it's disingenuous of you to say you don't see us talking about certain points when you also state you have many of us blocked. (also, can i really trust you, internet stranger, to read our posts in full? & in good faith?) 2) b4 you make any assumptions — radical feminists like gender nonconformity... a lot. i have never seen a radfem suggest otherwise, & any woman who does can't be an rf, as challenging social/patriarchal norm & convention is part & parcel of radfeminism.

ok, now onto your question & trans gender nonconformity! when you replace "transman" or "transwoman" with what they are ("adult human female" aka "woman" & "adult human male" aka "man", respectively), they aren't being gender nonconforming at all. (i'm going to use "you" in a general sense here) if you, as an adult human female aka woman, are wearing high heels and sparkly dresses and a full-face of makeup... you're not breaking convention at all, even if you hurry to tell someone that, "no, no! i use he/him pronouns, so it's totally genderfucky." you're still a woman in heels, a dress, & makeup.

i will say i think a lot of rfs & rad-aligned women find femininity as a whole generally harmful (i pulled up a chart listing feminine vs masculine traits & it's clear femininity is meant to be degrading. that's not to say there aren't negative aspects of masculinity too; those are just exceptions, however, and not the rule). but on a more personal note, i don't think liking pink or something shiny really counts? pink used to be a "boy's" colour up until the mid-1900s & everyone wears jewellery. i'm definitely getting into semantics there, but those are just my thoughts. :)

again, i don't know if i can speak for radfems, but i think everything up to that last bit is what you'd see. if you need any more clarification or if you have any more questions, feel free to ask, and hopefully more actual radfems answer, so you don't just get my perspective. have a great day/night!

response to 1) its only really disingenuous if you were under any impression that i wanted to have some kind of debate, which i dont. so yes you can assume i read radfem posts in bad faith, but its irrelevant to my question. i havent personally seen the topic mentioned which is why i reached out not because i assume its NEVER mentioned. its purely a curiosity thing which is why im even engaging this community in the first place.

i think the reason i wanted to ask is because ive seen before radfems trying to reason why someone would want to be a transgender man in the first place yknow. like, psychologically (from a radfem perspective) the whole point is to escape misogyny right? or because you dont follow societys typical expectations of women (used liking pink and glitter as an example but yes this obviously applies to everything from wearing makeup and heels to being a mother) so you think "oh this must not be for me then, i must be a man"

and as a trans person i dont think gender is quite so logical, like ive personally never had a moment where i was like "oh i like x and y and dont like z so therefore" its all about the body and labels really for me, which extends in to concepts but im not gonna make an argument here i know im talking to a brick wall. (and realize i too am in turn a brick wall)

but anyway so when that aspect:

"im a man because i dont things associated with girls"

"im a man because i dont fit in as a woman"

"im a man because im attracted to women"

are removed from the equation (as a trans man i can personally say that none of the above apply to me) what is the logic from a radfem perspective of why an AFAB person would want to transition to a man.

(also note none of this is meant to be passive aggressive or anything, im being completely genuine, i really dont want to start a fight)

EDIT: (also also it might help to mention when i say trans man in my minds eye i generally picture someone whos fully transitioned so deep voice and beard maybe even penis)
