went through chapter 13 of nightbringer, and it was great. received more lore, such as more info on how the devildom's government works and so on. finally saw my favorite bitch (mephistopheles💕) again. and got to experience some good bits with diavolo (and chapter 14 looks like it'll contain more of that + lore so 🥂).

So what is the possibility that Nightbringer is fae?

It's funny to me that they brought up fairies because I was talking to a friend about Obey me and Obey me Nightbringer even though she doesn't play the game or have time to. She just asked me about what I was reading lately. After I told her everything about Nightbringer she asked me if the Obey Me world had faries.

I told her I'd never seen any but keep in mind I am only half way through the OG game.

Now all of a sudden we have fairies, displaced ones at that.

I have to wonder.

Well, what this implies is that not only they have been at war not only with the Celestial Realm and the angels, but also with the fae.

The first Demon king stole the lands of the faes which expanded through different worlds.

In S3 its mentioned that the human realm fairies were very rares, almost at the bring of extinction, but they founded a colony when they won their trust. This could mean that they only are better to hide and not really in extinction.

Also, following the history of all colonials in the human world, we could suppose that the mix of especies would be possible, giving birth to mix fae-demons that later would be called only demons for being under the reign of the demon king.

And we shouldn't forget that before being Devildom, it was a primary forest. So... The fairies inhabitated this primal forest? Or that was first, they tamed and transformed the forest and later the demons finished the work?

Ahhhhh this goes so good for exploring the dynamic between species fae/demon/angel, for the cultural myths where the faes/forest deities were demonized by the religion and exploring demons with forest/plant powers. Without saying that now there is a new species that could be transformed in demon (which until now we know that they transform from other species or they are born as demons, but when transformed it isn't necessary to 'be born' as the fallen angels were created) so... Barbatos who was never born or a child could have been a fae who later was transformed in demon~

However, he then adds that that's impossible unless he can travel back in time [6-18; pic below]. You know. Even though he traveled through time to help MC???

he also talks about how he and Asmo forged their pact [6-18] -> Solomon wonders what would happen if he were to forge a pact with Asmodeus sooner than he is supposed to [6-18] -> also correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Solomon usually call Asmodeus 'Asmo'? Because he exclusively uses 'Asmodeus' here [6-18; both pics below]

Simeon and Luke came to the Devildom as representatives of the Celestial Realm for RAD's founding ceremony [6-2]. Considering that the ceremony is still some time away, it's a little strange that they are already here... -> both Belphegor & Leviathan are surprised that Michael allowed the two to go in the first place. Simeon then explains it's because the two realms have recently re-established relations [6-4; pic below] which?? When?? Because that's a little fast considering everything else we know and learn later on????

Simeon and Lucifer have apparently met after the Great Celestial War [6-2]

a lot of magic was cast on the house to alter it [6-7]. Asmodeus later says that it was Lucifer that cast a spell that wraped space itself [lesson 6 hard mode; first pic below]. Interesting that Lucifer has such powers -> Simeon also repeats that Lucifer is able to do such thing at the very end of the chapter [lesson 6 hard mode; second pic] -> the house doesn't have an attic according to Asmodeus :( [lesson 6 hard mode]

Asmodeus mentions that the Celestial Realm is overflowing with light [6-12]. Sounds like the perfect place to suddenly bring night to, huh :)

SPOILERS OF OBEY ME NIGHTBRINGER CHAPTER 6-14 HARD MODE

Okay I wrote this over a year and a half ago and I am a little salty that I was right. I feel like Lucifer has backup plans in case his brothers go rogue. The fact that no one thought Belphegor was in the attic was because Lucifer manipulated the building into not showing an attic. That's why the brothers had no idea what the hell we were talking about in obey me shall we date. Lucifer is crafty.

SLIGHT SPOILERS FOR ANYTHING AFTER CHAPTER 16

I'm actually really curious about other people's thoughts about this.

Okay I had this thought late last night and it's been bothering me ever since, Belphegor was probably the only brother Lucifer can get away with putting in the attic without a rising any suspicion.

I'm not going to really bring in the emotional aspects about Lilith outside of just her dying or the fact that Lucifer was hiding a big secret from his brothers. I'm just plainly talkin about them being put in that attic for the same duration of time. Someone else can bring that up as well because I haven't really thought about how Lilith would affect them trapped up in the attic besides Beelzebub mentally.

Lucifer could not get away with doing that with any of his other brothers. If he had tried the chances are his other brothers would have realized something is up and would have gotten suspicious. And I'm not talking about the fact that Belphegor hated humanity and he wanted to kill the exchange students I'm just talkin about the fact that Lucifer probably had Belphegor up in that attic for roughly six months without anyone but MC knowing. Because if we break it down each individual brother it would be almost impossible for him to accomplish it.

Mammon - We all know for a fact in later chapters I can't remember which ones but it was confirmed that Mammon was Lucifer's favorite. Despite all of his faults, Lucifer still loves him and can see that outside his greediness that Mammon has he still sees with a lot more potential in Mammon. I honestly think it would be easy for him to trap and keep Mammon in the attic but Lucifer's own guilt plus Mammon's nagging would no doubt call the lot more issues then just leaving him there. Mammon probably would be a lot easier than the rest of the brothers because he's been punished a few times but I think he would make more and more ridiculous demands. Like wanting a TV for entertainment or wanting shiny for being a good boy and staying quiet in the attic for the week. Mammon also would probably be the only one who could probably talk Lucifer into letting him out. Mammon knows Lucifer better than all his brothers whether or not he pointed out. I have no doubt that he could talk Lucifer into freeing him or at least making Lucifer realize how ridiculous this is and what the backlash is going to be.

Leviathan - Leviathan would honestly be one of the easier ones to get in the attic and be hidden away much like Belphegor. Leviathan probably wouldn't be all that hard to keep in there since he's naturally in his room to begin with but he would probably have stressed out about Henry 2.0 well being well-being in the attic. Leviathan isn't above begging for something if he feels like he's being unfairly judged and would probably say some things that would cut Lucifer down. Leviathan nose a little bit more about Lucifer's War side and could probably say some hurtful things to him to guilt him into letting him out. If desperate Leviathan could summon Loath (I think thats the name) to help set him free or at least alert his brothers that hey he's still down here in Devildom. His brothers would probably also notice that Lucifer would have Akuzon packages coming in every day or a lot of packages at one time. Lucifer would have to do this in order to keep Leviathan up-to-date with his games, snacks and events in the hopes that it will occupy him from having a fit. Which wouldn't be too difficult if it wasn't for the fact that Mammon would most likely steal one of the packages and that would also end up getting Lucifer caught that Leviathan is somewhere near.

Satan - I believe Satan would be the most difficult for Lucifer to get into the attic to begin with but also the fact that he would probably be the one trying to make breakouts constantly. Satan is not stupid by any means and no matter how good Lucifer thinks he is if Satan is pushed, he will find a way to get out. Honestly would not surprise me if he just completely destroyed the room and actually literally blew a hole out the side of the house in a fit of rage just to get out of the attic. Lucifer might be able to control his temper a little bit if he may have thrown a cat or two in there because Satan wouldn't harm the animal no matter how mad he is but it would only work for so long. Especially if someone notices Lucifer is running around with cat litter and cat food. Satan would most likely be the biggest problem child out of all them purely for the fact that he has a lot more tricks up his sleeves than his brothers.

Edit: I just realized that if Satan was trapped up in the attic with a cat he would have to clean the cat's litter box but couldn't get rid of the bag without Lucifer's help. You can't convince me that Satan wouldn't take a bag of cat poop and hand it to Lucifer looking him dead in the eyes and say "Here's a sack of crap for a sack of crap." Satan would be so sassy since he can't destroy anything with the cats in the room.

Asmodeus - Asmodeus would be be another tricky one do the fact that he's kind of a celebrity or at least very popular is that a lot of people would notice him missing and start asking questions. He wouldn't be so bad at first. As long as Lucifer managed to allow him to still go into having his private bath and having all of his lotions and his clothes. Asmodeus wouldn't have such a big problem until the social aspect starts to strain on him. He is a social butterfly and he enjoys being around a lot of people having a lot of gossip the ones he kind of realizes how isolated he is that's when shit is going to hit the fan. And I can kind of see this going one of two ways. Either 1. He's going to be so desperate for socialisation he will literally have a meltdown every time Lucifer has to leave to the point where he use probably going to have a mental breakdown. Or 2. Asmodeus is going to try anyway he can to get Lucifer to let him talk to someone. Whether it be charming his brother or just outright attacking him would not surprise me because I feel like once you take a majority his happiness away from him then he will become feral. And if MC actually did meet Asmodeus the way they met Belphegor then I feel like Asmodeus would have an unhealthy attachment to MC purely from the stress of being the only one who will talk to him while he was in the attic.

Beelzebub - Much like Leviathan, Beelzebub wouldn't be that difficult to hide in the attic if it wasn't for the fact that his stomach would give himself away. Lucifer running up and down the stairs of the attic constantly to bring up 10 portion meal food a couple dozen times a day would not only exhaust him but would be hella suspicious to everyone. It was confirmed in text messaging that Lucifer is known for skipping every meal except dinner because he still wants to see his brothers at the end of the day. Beelzebub would also be someone that Lucifer would probably let out from guilt because Beelzebub still has a lot of regret about what happened to Lilith and in some way he would look at this situation of him being imprisoned in the Attic as his punishment for failing her. And given the fact that Beelzebub isn't afraid to just talk about uncomfortable things with his siblings if it fixes is the problem. Lucifer would probably release Beelzebub after having a long discussion of needing to let Lilith go. Also the brothers would have noticed that Lucifer running around with a lot of food would immediately send off some of warning signals especially the Belphegor who would already be on high suspicion that there was foul play. Beelzebub wasn't like that with belphegor but that's because he didn't really believe that Lucifer was going to lie to him and thought that Lucifer was taking good care of Belphegor (which in a way he was but still.)

I just feel like because Belphegor sleeps all day and outside of Satan and Beelzebub she really doesn't have a lot of socialisation as well as someone who's really easy to accommodate for with very little needs outside of the basics that wouldn't come off is alarming to his brothers. I kind of feel like Belphegor was just a perfect type of person could be put in an attic for months on end with just a basic lie from someone they trust without really alarming anyone. Beelzebub was upset and was confused why his brother had never said anything to him but again Beelzebub had no reason to not trust Lucifer.

I guess what I'm trying to say is do you think Lucifer already had that planned. Like way before Belphegor had this whole situation about the exchange program. Do you think Lucifer has had to sit down and think of a place to lock his brothers up for long periods of time just in case. I'm pretty sure he's done that with Satan at least because of his rage but I feel like that would be more of like a rage room to just destroy things and try to minimize the damage then actually being a prison.

Lesson Fourteen Summary

Part One

MC and Diavolo are at the mausoleum where Diavolo reminds MC he may still expel them from the Devildom afterward and asks why they’d still show him such kindness.

Depending on the chosen option Diavolo either—

• Diavolo admits he has a soft spot for MC and this is why he can’t have them in the Devildom as they could pose a great threat to them.

• Comments that choosing MC as a devilsitter was clearly the right choice

After he guesses that he and MC should learn more about each other but first they must focus on surviving the trials.

Diavolo assures MC not to worry as regardless of the outcome they’ll be fine. MC assures Diavolo he’ll be fine too and he thanks them.

Diavolo admits he feels as though he can trust MC when they say that, even though they are human. He comments that after going from one crisis to another lately he’d never stopped to appreciate that MC is the first regular human he’s spoken with and he’d love to hear more about what humans are like.

When MC asks about Solomon Diavolo says it’d be a stretch to call him a regular human as he’s sort of his own category at this point. He laughs that Solomon would be mad if he heard Diavolo talk about him that way when he wasn’t around.

They move on to a room where a statue of a fairy kind sits. According to legend the lands of the Devildom originally belonged to the fairy kind until a demon served him wine containing his own blood and the king fell into a deep sleep—this according to legend is how the first demon king came to be.

By offering his blood to the statue he can verify if he is of royal blood or not, as the statues eyes should remain closed.

Part Two

Despite being confident he is of royal blood, Diavolo is still a little nervous. Diavolo offers the fairy king his blood and the statue’s eyes remain closed, confirming he is a rightful successor. Diavolo feels relived but this is short lived as it’s time for the next test—The Testament of Virtue

According to his father it’s different for everyone so his own experience wouldn’t be of any help for Diavolo.

The fairy king asks Diavolo to prove his virtue and they are thrust into one of Diavolo’s memories.

The ground is on fire and Lucifer is crying to Lilith, hoping she will be okay. Diavolo explains they are in the Devildom, the day the war ended and the brothers’ lost their white wings.

Diavolo is upset to see Lucifer like this again. In the memory Barbatos warms Lucifer that Lilith will die soon and Lucifer pleads with Diavolo to save her. He agrees but says it may not be in the way he wants and that his conditions are Lucifer pledge his loyalty to him. Lucifer stutters in shock and Barbatos comments there must be no greater disgrace.

But the memory goes off track and “Barbatos” begins confronting Diavolo about how dangerous this decision was. He compares the brothers to dazzling jewels of the heavens and says Diavolo must want them no matter what.

Part Three

“Barbatos” continues to taunt Diavolo telling him he wanted the brothers for himself and he knows the reason.

Diavolo pleads he stop and when he doesn’t, he pleads for MC not to listen.

Barbatos says it’s all about being called a “great demon”, someone worthy of being the demon king’s son. He compares them to gemstones again and says Diavolo must want to command a group of demons like that as his father would surely be impressed.

Diavolo cannot refute “Barbatos” and says it’s nit enough to live up to his father’s name but that without surpassing him, his life has no meaning.

“Barbatos” agrees this must be why Diavolo agreed to help this “family” even though it was far too great a risk and asks if this is what you really expect of a demon king.

Diavolo looks disheartened and states that he wants to serve the Devildom and it’s what he was born to do. “Barbatos” interrupts that all Diavolo really wants is his father’s approval.

MC holds onto Diavolo taking him away from “Barbatos” and helps him calm down. Diavolo laments that he is not fit to be demon king and MC tries convincing him otherwise.

He admits that he’s not becoming the demon king for the sake of others but all for himself to earn his father’s approval. He tries emulating his father’s behavior—that of a king—but fears his true feelings will bubble over for all to see. Diavolo chastises himself and apologizes to MC for claiming he was going to expel them from the Devildom for everyone safety.

MC managed to convince Diavolo that he can still become a great king and their belief in him let’s him believe in himself. He tells MC he does genuinely want to be a great king and is able to see what he’s meant to do and who he’s meant to become. With this realization he passes the test.

Part Four

Diavolo and MC return to the council room and the others congratulate him and are happy for MC’s return.

When asked what’s next Diavolo says he is still responsible for them and any punishments.

He comments that Beelzebub destroyed the palace and attempted to attack him. He adds that they gained from this attack—MC—because without him going through the king’s blood crucible with MC he wouldn’t have realized how important they are and that he feels he’d be making a big mistake letting them go. He adds that it was destiny and even if they rewind time they would meet a thousand different times in a thousand different ways and still end up there.

Because of this he decides he won’t be punishing Beelzebub because he wouldn’t never learned what he had with MC otherwise. He also grants MC permission to stay in the Devildom indefinitely.

The brothers are elated and Solomon wonders what sort of witchcraft they performed on Diavolo.

Later on Asmodeus comments he couldn’t believe how suddenly Diavolo was smitten with MC. Everyone is glad that things are peaceful and decide to eat at Hell’s Kitchen. Solomon asks if he’s included and Lucifer tells him he’s paying for his own meal.

Part Five

Solomon comments enjoying the food and loving the fact that Lucifer paid for his dinner and he can now brag about it.

Solomon wants to stay and talk with MC longer and offers to make coffee but MC redirects his attention elsewhere.

Solomon says he is shocked by the change that overcame Diavolo and instead a of being continuing to be someone with the weight of the world on his shoulders he is now his confident, bubbly, happy self that they know in the present and MC is the reason why.

Solomon admits when he first met Diavolo his thought was “How could the Devildom possibly produce such an offbeat character?”

MC asks Solomon if they’d influenced the future and he explains time as Barbatos explained it to him. That they are on a branch and a branch exists in which MC says yes to doughnuts and one where they say no, and that they go from that branch to another and endless possibilities exist but they can only choose one—unlike Barbatos who can go from any branches at any time. Solomon states it’s possible that the version of Lucifer and his brothers that they first met are on a branch that theirs doesn’t lead to and wonders what branch they’ll end up on when they return to the present.

Part Six

Solomon reminds MC of the importance of forging pacts and considers it won’t be hard for them to make pacts again. Solomon comments he misses the present day Barbatos and would like to go back, something he can only do once MC makes pacts.

He asks that as long as MC is making a pact with Lucifer if he could join in as a two humans for the price of one deal.

MC asks why he’d like to make pacts with demons and he says he’d like to make as many pacts as he can. He says he’s doing it to protect humanity as a whole and he wants to be on par with any angel or demon and that it’s his life’s work.

He offers to tell MC a little about his past.

Solomon says he was born in a country where Magic was thought to be evil and that anyone found to be practicing Magic was executed. Unfortunately for him he was using magic when he was too young to know what it was so his scared family—who’d all be punished too—told everyone he had a serious illness kept him away in a basement where he only had one window to look out of.

He comments he was always staring outside the window and one day he made a friend.

Part Seven

Solomon continues about his friend, saying he seems lost and shrieked when they noticed Solomon. “Long story short” they ended up chatting for a long time until his friend’s family showed up. His friend would come over time to time and they’d spend hours chatting through the window bars, until—Solomon isn’t able to continue the story and apologizes to MC telling them he isn’t ready to tell them the story and he doesn’t have the courage.

He finishes with the fact he vowed to his friend to become a good sorcerer no matter what. He reaffirms that he doesn’t want anyone deciding humanity’s future but humanity. He says they have the right to forge their own path without interference from demons or angels and he wants to create a world where he can do that.

He wants to be able to convince demons and angels that they’re equals and that’s why he needs more power and more pacts and would love if MC could help him.

He then decides to turn in for the night when MC says they will find a way to help without betraying the brothers.

Part Eight

In their room at Cocytus hall, MC gets a call from Satan who expresses he believes he’s feeling happiness that they’re still there and wants them to hang out tomorrow.

Immediately after this they get a call from Levi who wants them to come over the following day to play video games.

As soon as they hang up with Levi, Beel calls and says he has a mountain of food he got when MC was in a coma that he wanted them to try and that the pile is currently much smaller and he’d like them to come over tomorrow and try some with him. He add that he has something he wants to discuss.

Part A

Mephistopheles is having tea with Diavolo. Mephistopheles tries to skip the pleasantries to discuss more important matters but Diavolo stops him and points out Mephistopheles is scrunching up his eyebrows which surprises him and Barbatos asks if he really wasn’t aware.

Diavolo tells him to relax as they haven’t done so in a long time. Mephistopheles agrees that things have been busy since the celestial exiles arrived. Diavolo laughs that he can sense Mephistopheles’ irritation and asks if he’s had enough sugar. Despite using the entire sugar cup, Mephistopheles says it will suffice.

Mephistopheles comments that he nearly had a heart attack hearing that the House of Lords made him take the King’s Blood Crucible and asks why he hasn’t been told sooner.

Diavolo is remarks that Mephistopheles has always been like a “mini-Barbatos” and he’d nearly forgotten.

Diavolo changes the subject to the devildom changing greatly since the great celestial war. Mephistopheles comments it’s not the war that changes things, or the fallen angels, it’s Diavolo taking over for his father.

Diavolo comments that Mephistopheles looks ultra-intense again and Barbatos recommends more tea. Mephistopheles tells him not to change the subject and begins to rant about his family being the ones who serve as faithful knights and protectors to the demon king and now that his father has retired it’s up to him to protect Diavolo and he will serve as his shield regardless of how Diavolo feels about it.

Diavolo tunes him out and comments that it’s been a long time since he heard that speech and asks Barbatos for more sugar as Mephistopheles counties his speech.

Hard

Luke is still in Asmodeus’s closet and beginning time lose hope he will make it out alive. He cries taht he had dreamed of being a seraph but would be fine with much less, like getting to try Simeon’s pancakes one last time. Suddenly he smells pancakes and follows it even though he’s not sure if it’s real. He suddenly falls out of a door which turns out to be connected to the kitchen cupboard. He surprises Simeon who worries first about his pancakes instead of Luke.

Luke eats his pancakes and explains to Simeon what happened. Simeon mentions that the secret passage way is probably a fast route Asmo uses for when he really needs to cheat his diet and that he had the same thing in the celestial realm.

Luke wonders of maybe demons and angels aren’t so different.

Yes, two actually. Iris in French and White Mustang in Spanish. I'm really happy with this, because both fics are emotional and special to me, so I'm very happy to know that my fics made someone happy enough to want other people to read them too

15. What’s the WIPs that you wanna finish, but doubt you ever will?

Dumpling, the motive is I have a lot of ideas and I don't know which one write down and which one I should throw away, it's a story about two idiots in love but they did mistakes and now living apart of each other and they still love each other but they don't know how fix it. It's more "how do you live after someone who you love hurt you? how do you live when there's no trust?" It's a very ambitious fic, I already have the first chapters but I don't think I can finish it

Blank room syndrome. I barely write rooms and clothes

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Exclusively tmbs so far, but I plan on doing some Wolf359 fics when I (finally) finish the podcast. Sadly all my ideas are long. I'm sorry.

Sirens of the Sea and Sky: dead last with 3 modest kudos. This fic is the equivalent of having a kid in a school recital who screams the whole time and knocks down the set. He might be a disaster, but he's my kid and I'm proud. This fic is ridiculous, but it makes me laugh anyway. I don't know how burnt out finals Bods came up with this, but by golly...she did.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Of course! I think I've responded to every comment I've ever gotten (if not I'm so sorry please let me know). I appreciate every one of them, and I love talking about the ideas in my idea and the fics I write, so please know that every comment you leave totally brightens my day! 🥰

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Hm. Right now "The Boys Who Waited" probably has the angstiest and most ominous ending, but we'll see what happens.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Probably "A Joy To Obey" since it's my main fluff fic with a nice ending. A great read if you like lighter stuff.

8. Do you get hate on your fic?

Not yet. If I did, I'm not even sure what I'd do. Depends on the hate. I might cry. I might laugh, honestly. I don't think I'm nearly important, good, or noticeable enough for that so I might be a little flattered ngl (unless it was something vulgar or hateful towards a certain group of people then I'd delete and block the person). I'm sure people have read my writing and not liked it, but I think they just click away.

9. Do you write smut?

No, that's not for me. Especially because I'm writing for a children's fandom, I just don't think that's appropriate.

10. Do you write crossovers?

No, but I've done some AU's on tumblr.

Not that I know of. Also this is a small fandom so if a fic of mine DID get stolen, it would be pretty awkward and obvious. Don't plagiarize kids.

According to my readers, dialogue, characterization, themes, weaving multiple storylines together, and plot twists.

I can't write a short fic to save my life, and I can't edit to save my life. I also just publish my first drafts because I have no impulse control (sorry).

Funny enough I’ve done this, but only canon MBS dialogue where I've translated it directly from the show's subtitles. If I made an error, please let me know.
