I'm not sure if Pequod has a peg leg like Ahab does (she probably does) but if she doesn't then it's a running gag for Rachel to just. Stomp her on that foot to get her to shut up (or alternatively, stab her harpoon through said foot to keep Pequod in one spot)

Media - EPIC The Musical Saga Character - Prince Telemachus Of Ithaca Couple - Telemachus X Reader Reader - Y/n Rating - 17+ Word Count - 1008
Not 100% on who made the Telemachus art I used this time, if someone knows please let me know cause I am not sure.
Telemachus stood on the small ship's deck watching as the island came into view. It was only a short trip to have a diplomatic meeting with the king of a neighbouring island, but it still made him feel rather guilty. He never liked to leave his mother alone in the palace, but he had left his best men to guard it. Nor did he like leaving Argos, but he knew the older dog could take care of himself. In years past kings and lords knew the situation of Ithaca, so when discussions were needed they all visited Ithaca. But the older Telemachus had gotten, and the more responsibilities he had to take on, the more of these trips he had to do.
The ship soon came to the stone docks and there Telemachus was met by a commander, who stood by the docks in a long purple robe, with his sword at his side.
“Prince Telemachus Of Ithaca,” He greeted arms open as he stepped closer, “A pleasure to see you again,”
Telemachus shook the man’s hand, “Greetings Lord Commander.”
“I trust your journey was fast and eventless?”
“Yes, by the gods.” He nodded, “Do you know what it is the king wishes to discuss?”
“You’re guess is as good as mine,”
The lord commander led Telemachus through the imposing gates of the palace. They arrived at a small guest suite. With a fire burning, a bed made ready and a balcony with views across the vast water. The curtains softly billowing in the breeze.
“The king will summon you when he is ready,”
“Yes, of course. Thank you, Lord Commander.”
“You are welcome, My prince.” He bowed before leaving the suite to attend to other business.
Telemachus sighed and ran a hand through his hair, he had some food and wine to clear his mind. He wanted to sleep but he knew the king had a habit of demanding meetings at strange times and getting angry when the summons didn’t immediately appear to his audience. So he just took a seat on the bed to try and clear his mind.
“Tehe he he he…” A little giggle caught his attention,
He raised an eyebrow and looked around the room trying to find the source of the sound.
“Hee he he he…” Another little giggle came from the balcony,
Telemachus slowly went out onto the balcony glancing around the pillars, until he caught the mysterious giggler.
A girl had her head poked around the pillar but when she saw him she hid behind the pillar,
He couldn’t help but smile as he took a step closer, “Hello? You can come out… Come on? I won’t bite,” he chuckled,
She slowly leaned her head out, a long bubble braid of hair held with silver jewellery hung down almost to her feet,
He smiled and leant on the stone, “Hi,”
“Hi.” she giggled,
“And who might you be?”
“Y/n.” she giggled,
“Y/n?” He smirked, “And why are you doing on my balcony, Miss Y/n?”
“I wanted to see if the prince was handsome,”
“Oh?” He laughed, “And is he?”
She nodded excitedly,
“You’re sweet,” he smiled, “But come on, you need to let me see you so I can tell if you’re beautiful too?”
y/n giggled and happily came out from behind the pillar revealing her body draped by a thin blue and lilac dress with silver jewellery,
Telemachus couldn’t help but smile, admiring her. “I was right, very beautiful,” he softly took her hand to help her down with him where he slowly wrapped his arms around her,
She giggled and happily pushed her body up against his,
“You are very sweet, very beautiful too… and trouble,” he smirked his eyes running over her and slowly his hands slid across her dress,
She giggled and nuzzled her head under his chin,
“Ohh you’re definitely trouble,” He smirked as he tightened his arms around her and picked her up,
She playfully squealed and giggled as he carried her inside and sat down on the bed pulling her onto his lap,
He tightened his grip on her to keep her close running his hands slowly across her body through her thin dress peppering her skin with little kisses, “Humm, such a sweet little nymph.” he smirked his hands sliding down to her thighs, his hand squeezing her thigh hard, inhaling her sweet scent, making little effort to hide the excitement she was causing below his Chlamys, “What’s the matter my little nymph? Aren’t you used to men having this effect on you?”
“Most boys don’t get to see me.” she giggled,
“No? I must be very lucky then,” he smirked massaging her thighs as he pushed up her dress, “Or all the men here are fools not to see how perfect you are,”
Y/n squealed playfully but wrapped her arms around his neck to pull him into a deep kiss,
Telemachus returned the kiss pulling her hard against his body as they kissed, their hands exploring one another impatiently,
But just before he could begin unlacing her dress-
“Prince Telemachus, Our king is ready for his audience with you!” A man called from beyond the door,
Telemachus groaned as he pulled back enough to speak, “Ughh- Yes! Thank you. I’ll be there in a moment,” He softly pushed Y/n off his lap and onto the bed, he got to his feet and adjusted himself so it was less obvious he was so hard below his clothes, “Duty calls my sweet,”
She playfully pouted as she lay on the bed purposely tormenting him,
He chuckled, “Do not be cruel to your poor prince,” He told her leaning down to kiss her again, “I won’t be long. Stay out of trouble till I get back, my little nymph,” He said before he headed for the door, but he had to turn back and look at her one more time,
She playfully waved and blew him a kiss,
He chuckled back and blew her a kiss too, “Wait there for me Y/n.” He winked before he left to go and meet with the king.

Jake the Duck...

Princess Bubblegum as a Pink and Grey Cockatoo
Her plumage befits her sweet yet limited morality.

Marceline the Marital Eagle

Simon Petrikov the Crested Guan
Small, skittish, and unassuming, but this lil guy shines above all the rest in terms of quirky charm.

Quick witted, swift footed, and unfettered even by rattlesnakes, this wacky bird will do anything for her boo.

Lady Cranicorn the Oriental Storke

Huntress Wizard the Great Horned Owl
Wise in the ways of nature and a skillful predator, but a complete birdbrain everywhere else.

Two travelers of the sky and seas, never to be parted again.

Is there any wish in the cosmos greater than spending time with this dude?

Giuseppe the Sacred Ibis
The most wondrous and perplexing creature in all of Ooo.

Earl of Lemongrab the Barn Owl

So I watched ChattyMia's Lore Olympus video which was great and everyone should watch it. It seems most people who do series reviews of the Lore Olympus don't like the comic for obvious reasons. Then I was reminded by the end that the comic is expecting a TV series which is in development hell. It made me think that Rachel might be better off not having a Lore Olympus TV show. Most praise for the series died awhile ago as the story became an utter mess. If it did get a TV show, people will see the early red flags like the age gap, the treatment of Minthe, trying to excuse cheating, Hades horrible behavior to workers, nymphs being discriminated with no pushback, etc. If some of them read the comic for spoilers they would later see the other big red flags of the series. Excusing slave labor, Persephone threatening the lower class, Hera getting with Echo a 'trash nypmh' as she once called Minthe, Apollo gets community service, the continued mistreatment of Demeter etc. Which I feel will cause everyone to go 'wtf is this series? 50 Shades of Grey mixed with Keeping Up with the Kardashians?'. Then you have to wonder if some of them will do a deep dive and find the stuff about Rachel's tie to Lolita. It would be especially bad if a bigger content creator talked about it. And we already know Rachel doesn't handle criticism the best (i.e. the struggle street tweet, the Minthe cosplay situation or even the merch). So I could only imagine how much worse it would be for her if Lore Olympus got a TV show and more eyes got drawn to it and her. It would no longer be just confided to the web comics fanbase but the much larger TV one. Unless Rachel seriously considered rewriting the TV script (or rekindling it lol) I don't see how a TV adaptation of her show would be good press for her.
Yess I've seen that video, it's great! She did a great job summarizing a lot of the biggest core issues with LO's story and art without getting too lost in the sauce (though god knows the rabbithole of LO's issues runs INCREDIBLY deep in an equally fascinating and "oh god what the fuck did I just read' kind of way), her video editing was very entertaining and her Persephone cosplay was a great touch 😎
That said, regarding the thought of "most people who do series reviews of LO don't like the comic", there is an amount of bias we have to acknowledge there - there's often a lot more to say in the negative rather than the positive. By extension, people who simply enjoy LO and don't participate much in the online discussion surrounding it or the discourse concerning it are less likely to make 2 hour videos analyzing it. So while the popular opinion of LO has shifted more towards a negative point of view, that doesn't mean that fans of the comic don't exist - it's just that most of those fans are blissfully enjoying the comic and can only sum it up as "it's very pretty and the plot is great", whereas many people who didn't enjoy it are more likely to voice their opinions as to why in far more explicit detail (though on the flipside of that, it also goes to show that there's a lot more to analyze in LO's flaws than its strengths - it's ironic that the fans often don't have much to say beyond "it's cute" or "I relate to Persephone" and anything further than that is relegated to pure headcanon pieced together by assumption and best guesses to make up for Rachel's lack of writing).
All that aside though, regarding the TV adaption, at this point it's less a matter of reception and more a matter of relevancy. The perfect time to release or at least show us proof of the LO TV show was years ago, when the comic was at its peak between 2020-2021. The second best time was at last year's NYCC when Rachel was a headlining guest. The fact they still had nothing to show for it at this year's NYCC, with Rachel nowhere to be seen and instead focusing more on the Freaking Romance adaption with Snailords filling the role as their featured guest (an equally if not even more problematic creator), is astounding, but unsurprising.
To me, LO feels like a real life case of "Tortoise and the Hare". Back at the start of it all, in 2017-2018, it was doing what no other comic on the platform was doing, presenting us a retelling of the Hades and Persephone story - which was very popular on Tumblr at the time - through a modern setting and with art that was incredibly unique for the platform. That, paired with WT's aggressive marketing, propelled it far ahead every other comic on the platform, creating a gap so massive that even the comics in second place on the trending tabs still weren't even close to LO's lead in terms of stats and money.
But then it got complacent. Quality of the comic's writing and art dropped, it was becoming increasingly obvious that LO had become no more than a marketing grift akin to the likes of Harry Potter - easily turned into books, t-shirts, socks, coloring books, figures, etc. - and that gave way to an increase of criticism towards it, criticism that had always somewhat existed even as far back as its days on Tumblr, but was now amplified by the existing ongoing proof that LO was never all it was cracked up to be.
Now, at best they shill $200+ figurine pre-orders, but the show is nowhere to be seen and, with the comic now finished and locked behind Daily Pass, its relevancy is dying out. "Rachel Smythe Presents" still has nothing to show for itself, Rachel's IG and Twitter seem to be purely for merch-pushing by the Inklore team, and Rachel has, at best, two new series that she suddenly announced but, in her words, don't even have anything written or planned for them yet beyond the taglines that were thrown together for her socials.
Meanwhile, the rest of the Greek myth retelling industry is in a renaissance. Hades is still a massively popular game, with its sequel now in early access; Epic: The Musical has been making waves on Spotify and TikTok far exceeding that of LO's in terms of audience reach, and even has more to show for itself in the way of official animations than LO ever has; and now Kaos has recently launched its first season after being in production since 2018 - yes, you read that right, it got commissioned around the exact same time LO became an Originals series which suggests the idea for it was already floating around and being pitched prior to LO - and, frankly, has beaten LO at its own game by achieving everything LO set out to do - weaving a Greek epic-style story in a modern setting, balancing romance with prophecies and world-ending stakes. It took a while, but Kaos made it past the finishing line, while LO has been dragging itself behind it, still making empty promises that a TV show is "still in the works" and "coming soon", with not a single thing to show for itself.
LO may have gotten a head start in being the "sleek, modern, sexy Greek myth retelling" by the virtue of being a weekly webtoon, but slow and steady wins the race - the productions that have taken their time cooking in the oven are now coming out as beautiful and delicious as we, the guests at the table, were told would be, while LO is simply the short-term gratification junk food that bombards us with gimmicks but sits like a rock in our stomachs and leaves us unfulfilled and wishing for a better meal.
Those better meals are here now and they were absolutely worth the wait.

I desperately need to share this idea somewhere sorry. Uhhhhh animation idea I've had since I listened to Epic The Musical (which you should do btw). Specifically the song "Monster" from the Underworld Saga...
"Is the Cyclops struck with guilt when he kills? Is he up in the middle of the night?" <- Dave killing kids
"Or does he end my men to avenge his friend and then sleep knowing he has done him right?" <- Show Henry also here, marking Dave as the Cyclops & Henry as his ""Friend""
"When the witch turns men to pigs to protect her nymphs is she goin' insane?" <- Dee attempting to kill Dave, her "nypmhs" being the childrens souls
"Or did she learn to be colder when she got older and now she saves them the pain." <- Dee both as a child & then as the Puppet, first in Fredbears then in the Bakerfield location, also her hugging the childrens souls
"When a god comes down and makes a fleet drown is he scared that he's doin' something wrong?" <- Steven springlocking an employee, synced with the snapping sound from the music
"Or does he keep us in check so we must respect him and now no one dares to piss him off." <- Steven again? A bit more unsure of exact details for this one but you know. Steven.
"Does a soldier use a wooden horse to kill sleeping trojans 'cause he is vile?" <- Peter rigging the springlock suit for Dave, maybe hesitating a bit
"Or does he throw away his remorse and save more lives with guile!" <- He finishes rigging the suit, transition to the saferoom door being covered up.
Anyways. Uhhhhhh uhmm. Bye again 💥

i had to force myself to make her bright pink notes about LO Persephone in MY MIND
Shes 22-23, not 19.
She's also taking a mesh course, focusing on myth legends, ancient greek and literature. This major (or minor?) allows her to have insight into other gods, since she was raised with only Demeter and Hekate and many myths and history is vastly unknown to her. (She's probably in her final year, which allows her to also get an internship with Hades.)
Since she was raised essentially as a mortal, she is easy to empathize and "live" in a way that many gods on Olympus can't. Since nymphs can 'die', Persephone also can experience lost and mourning in a way that most gods can't as well.
She loves her mom, but like any adult she went to school on Olympus to get away from her. Many things about her mom is unknown to her, and vice-versa. She's a good kid to Demeter overall, though.
Her wrath is entirely her own. It was never a gift from Eris, it was never a curse. It's hers, like how her kindness is her own.
(She 'escapes' to Olympus after she kills a mortal after he ruins her mothers sacred tree.)
Athena, though maybe not by blood, is her elder sister-figure. Speaking of relationships here's all her major ones > She is friends/sisters with Artemis and Athena. Athena is the elder sister and she's probably actually a professor at Olympus university, she is definitely more involved than in canon, though. Daphne and Minthe, she naturally is just really close to nypmhs. she's not really close to any men, except maybe Helios and Hermes. Apollo is in a maybe.
She initially falls in love with the idea of Hades. Her feelings aren't just "oh big man with money~" it's more so the adventure and unknown of the underworld, the idea of death, the promise of freedom and discovery-everything that Hades represents, but Hades himself? It's definitely not love at first sight...
She's not straight, or cis. no god is, really.

GA/EL's are now saying that SJM never wrote Lightsingers to lure by making people feel anything. That lightsingers lure by altering their own faces to appear as friendly. So saying she makes Nesta and Azriel feel anything is wrong because even lightsingers can't do that. They don't glow or sing. So Gwyn can't be one. You thoughts?
Do you think maybe she's a siren type nypmh? also like she and ianthe are the only people with teal eyes do you think there's something there?
This is the most we know about Lightsingers,

They appear as friendly faces, simply deduction will say that it means they offer you comfort, make you feel safe - act as a friend. No, they don’t “alter” their faces. They come to you and basically act friendly- its an appearance, an act to lure you to them before they make the final kill.
Common sense, Lightsingers must act by making you feel safe and comforted by them -> Gwyn appeared as friendly face both both Az and Nesta when they felt lost/angry etc.
The whole glow and singing aspect imo is Sjms way of showing us that Gwyn does have magic. LightSINGERS, there is a reason singing is included. I just find it sketchy Elain gave Az earplugs specifically as a solstice gift then he meets someone who he hears sing which causes his shadows to sing…thats way too specific to be a coincidence especially considering Elain is a seer. you know in Ice age - the continental drift - where Manny and the gang get seperated from the rest of their family and end up drifting in the ocean, later on encountering siren like creatures:

These guys ^ this is what I think Lightsingers are. They appear as friendly faces and simply lure you in.
Does that mean Gwyn has to be evil? No. Do I think there is a possibility she can be manipulated? Yes. Do I need Gwyn to be a Ls for elriel to happen? No, Gwyn does not affect elriel in the slightest.

Arthur Prince Spear Sunrise Water Nypmhs, 1920
* * * *
when we are old & our hearts have beat within us, let us go back, & when we have buried our loves, & shed our bodies piece by piece, & when we have danced & broken our shoes, & danced, let us go back, when we have gone mad, & when we have shut the doors, dismantled our eyes & rifles, let us go back, when we have drunk the wine & licked our lips & put our tongues to the inside of the green glass bottle & laid down our bodies old as trees, streets, let us go back, when we have told our stories & forgotten our stories, & set the tables & made the beds, let us go back, & received other bodies into our bodies, let us go, when we have entered, & opened, & opened our mouths, let us go back, […] when the poem has been sung, when the strings & tambourines, when all the birds have gathered at the window, let us go, let us go back there, let us go back —Aracelis Girmay, from “Litany,” Teeth (Curbstone Press, 2007)
