do you have any bg characters (or apart of the main cast) of voltron you feel could've had more development/been more vital to the main plots?

UGH YES.

i think hunk should have had an epic b plot that involved him and the balmerans and recruiting a bunch of allies through his unique charm!!! he’s a lovely guy and would probably be amazing at diplomacy in a different way to lance. hunk is amicability while lance is strategy

i rly wish coran had been explored in depth. he lived through some of the most extreme traumas in the show and still had a very upbeat, positive attitude. would have loved to know WHY and also had a few scenes with him reminiscing alone with allura. we saw him do it with lance but i feel like the three of them rly could have done a deep dive into historic altea through an emotional, first-person lens.

& i wish we saw more of nyma she just was cool asf.

I was feeling bad about drawing my boy Nymas beaten up all the time, so here he is, clean and content. Also tried out a slightly different rendering style without inking! Done in CSP.

the blade of marmora have been clients, so to speak, of the bar for several decades now.

it's risky, but the info they get has yet to fail, so kolivan allows it. honestly, it's impressive for a single small group to be so successful.

perhaps the boss' halfbreed status helps. perhaps it's because he truly does not care about what they do with what they buy. someone like him has to be smart. it's impossible for him to hear the news of destroyed vampire bases and not understand what they did.

still, kolivan makes sure only to send lower-ranking blade members. he knows the bar workers are all part of it, watching for every sliver of data they can get, and he doesn't want to risk such crucial blades like antok or ulaz.

(the dedication to information would be something kolivan would want in the blade if the boss was anything close to trustworthy. but as it is, his legendary neutrality is both an asset to the secrecy of their cause and an assurance that it would be a terrible idea to attempt to get him to pick a side.)

I will say that VLD was actually pretty good at not making alien designs that had to be like. extremely gendered. like male and female Olkari look basically almost the same. you can which Galra are female, but it's not done to an aggressive degree. same with Olia and Te-Osh.
