I will say that VLD was actually pretty good at not making alien designs that had to be like. extremely gendered. like male and female Olkari look basically almost the same. you can which Galra are female, but it's not done to an aggressive degree. same with Olia and Te-Osh.

altean rolo and nyma would be so interesting. on one hand it means they've been friends with keith for a very long time and i LOVE found criminal family but also them meeting allura would be. awkward.

rolo and nyma don't really know what to think of her. i mean, she's the altean princess, so there's this sense of respect, but she's probably younger than them. and also they didn't really intentionally become altean? they sort of just tripped into it by accident.

(keith laughs every time. how the fuck do you accidentally complete a complex and painful ritual, guys. that's honestly impressive.)

allura doesn't understand their choices of still being criminals and being totally down with murder - they're altean, aren't they? alteans are better than that.

(a certain witch would disagree, but they're not quite ready for that yet.)
