So, here we have a silly little dell precision 5820 that i scored for the low low price of free :D

It has an intel Xeon 4c4t 3.6ghz CPU, i think

32GB of DDR4 2600MHz

And a whole, 4 drive trays which i am very happy with! So ill be feeding this guy a few things

It also came with a yummy yummy nvida quadro P4000 which i am uh, very shocked they let me take

So overall, would reccomend :3

(However the uh, IT team did forget to take this from me, which i will be returning)

idk whats worse. the games optimization being fucking leagues worse than my pirated copy, dock town is nigh unplayable because theres too much to load in so thegame shits itself every time you travel to it, or the fact that the game with nearly EVERY boot consistently resets my graphics settings & freaks out not understanding why it's not working because i have a goddamn intel processor & i have the nvida dlss setting on but datv keeps just force resetting that to amd fsr

even in a world where somehow the older games weren't superior in every way to veilguard, this fucking bullshit would make me hate it on this frustrating lack of proper coding on the most fucking critical level, the goddamn settings not changing at random, alone.

I DID IT I SWITCHED IT BACK TO NVIDIA SET TO FULLSCREEN AND IT WORKED IDK WHY THAT HELPED BUT OKAY

i just want to play the game 😭 if things would stop flickering and disappearing and if the main menu screens would stop bugging out at 100% loading screens and if the game would actually display at fullscreen when i set it to fullscreen all of the time!!!

What processor/graphics card does your computer have that it runs bg3 so well? I’m jealous!!

Oh I don’t know off the top of my head hmm let’s see nvida 3080. I think that one. When I figured out I wasn’t moving right away I used some of my saved up funds building a gaming pc. I didn’t really even use it until baldur’s gate 3.

I haven’t had a pc that can play games since the early 2000s so it’s nice to be able to video game :)

Trying to play mgs 1 and everything is at half the speed. I tried to see if the game had a specific program entry thing so i could check the frame rate on nvida but there wasnt any for it :(

every time i turn on my computer it yells at me bc the nvida control panel isnt installed which is like reallyfunny but also annoying considering the fact that i uninstalled it bc every time i opened the nvida control panel it told me my graphics card was too old for the nvida control panel to be useful in any meaningful way
