constabell 💭
there's this one short song that i think abt a lot which works really nicely with them... it's called A Lady by Tally Hall the lyrics are super meaningful and i imagine it goes really nicely with how nørton thought of her
the first line as as goes —
i know a lady, good and evil
obviously said lady is irene. when he calls her good, he refers to her personality - as lore points that irene was constantly finding ways to see if he was fine, dropping by to offer warm bread, some coins that were stolen from him, or even a new candle that could replace his melted one. it could be anything, just for her to see to it that he was... okay. this to him, is her good traits - what made him initially grow on her. the evil traits refer to her lifestyle - he has nothing but distaste for people in the upper class- which she indeed is... but that's the only thing that made him distance himself from her - he just couldn't trust the fact that she was from a wealthy family. who knows if she's being genuine with her actions or if she's having ulterior motives (the latter is most definitely not true however.)
told me that i was a gentleman
the main reason why she even bothered to care in the first place was the fact that she noticed that he was such a hard worker, yet he still lives impoverished. he even gets robbed of his efforts from the coworkers. the said scenario is was caused her to make a move and show deep concern for him. he was indeed a diligent person, and even caring for his father's old friend, visiting the old lad in the nursing home. she wanted him to know that he deserved so much better but he was sometimes hard on himself to really believe what she's saying
wait for the girl to blossom into colors that grow where you can
this one's the last, but it's a little tricky to decipher! so here's a more symbolic take on what i want to think this means:
at some point does she confess that even if she wanted be with him, she could not - for she was already arranged to be with someone else - but she promised somehow she'll find a way to be with him even if it meant it would disappoint her family. it was definitely a selfish move on her part.
but all her life - irene never felt like she really truly got to experience the life she wanted because she was playing the life her family wanted. she had hoped that... if she'll truly find way to embrace the life she wants, she'll start with him. (wait for the girl to blossom into color).
i imagine this whole promise has been made post-explosion, she nursed him back to health in secret and she confessed everything when he kept asking why did she always bother to care for him even in potential death.
she was mostly keen on helping him, but as time went on and the more he softened up to her, it was hard to deny the fact that she's starting to see something charming in him that gives her more purpose to see him.
irene was no different from nørton in reality, she was born in a difficult time and she remembered everything from her old days she was only lucky now because she was adopted and she has everything penny alive now. it still left her hollow inside though, wanting something more to live for and she was stuck with this resentment. but then seeing him where he is, simply inspired her that even if he's stuck like this, he's still finding ways to make a change and irene simply admired it. she could... give him the change if she wanted, and she did.
she just needed to figure out how to escape her current predicament to be with him
#now that i think about it... i like how I've written irene#like. part of her has a good heart but#she doesn't seem to care about her family - its not that they're neglecting her but - they don't exaclty give the love and connection#she's only there to ... marry. increase family wealth. be a bridge for the next generations who knows#irene felt connected to nørton cuz he was one of the people who just... started being nice to her (mostly because she brute forced her way)#shoutout to n.aib and emma though because they also made her feel like she was appreciated and cared for 😭😖#oh man i just realized i could've written this better with emma and nai.b mentioned AAGSGUS THE TUNNEL VISION#WAHH THAT'S OK THO ill... find a way next time i think flflfkfkfk#💚 constabell#I SHOULD PROBABLY FIX THE TAG. RENAME IT CONSTABELL#i deadass forgot constabell is the shipname i used for them why did i start using nortene AHAH#then again in id.v ship name fashion - nortrene is most fitting but#constabell is a BANGER name#~ rambling

You won at a fanmeet and get to meet each member of RV individually but there’s a catch, you can only choose one specific act from them.
Irene:
A. Handjob from her fully naked while at the same time fondling and tasting her but she gets to choose where you can finish.
B. Fellatio from her bottomless but you can only finish on her thighs.
C. She dry humps you in her underwear while you’re lying down but you can finish only on her face.
Seulgi:
A. Eating her out naked while sitting on your face and only after she finishes, is when you can finish only but she finishes you slowly by rubbing your tip in agonizing circular motions.
B. Thighjob from the front while she’s wearing underwear but you can only finish where she wants it.
C. BJ from her topless but you can finish only on her abs.
Wendy:
A. She grinds her abs on your member but you can finish only on her face.
B. Dry humps you reverse cowgirl style naked but she chooses where you can finish.
C. Slow BJ along with some deepthroat topless but you can only finish in her hands.
Joy:
A. Handjob from behind naked and you can feel her grind her upper body against your back but she makes you finish on her face.
B. Titjob from her topless but she chooses where you can finish.
C. Thighjob from her bottomless while lying down with the both of you facing each other with a bit of edging but you can only finish on her butt.
Yeri:
A. Titjob from her topless but you can finish only on her face.
B. Messy BJ in her underwear but she chooses where you can finish.
C. Life changing handjob from her fully naked at the same time tasting and fondling her but you can only finish on her chest.
Irene:
C
Sometimes underwear can be more sexy than being naked, if it's the right one. Plus, cuming on Irene's face is probably one of the most beautiful things you can ever do in life.
Seulgi:
C
I like a good blowjob. And I'm convinced, whoever is an amazing singer, also gives great head. Her throat would feel amazing. And her abs seem like a nice place to cum. I like it.
Wendy:
C
I don't know why I'm choosing C again hahaha. But I prefer a blowjob over dry humping and grinding against her abs. And I don't have a problem with cuming in her hands. Does she lick them clean afterwards? Maybe.
Joy:
A
I like the position. I don't think I've written that one before, so I will definitely have to now. But I like the idea of Joy, pressing tits against my back, her chin on my shoulder while telling me how much she loves my cock. And cuming on her face could almost rival cuming on Irene's. Also, is it just me, or is annoyed Joy really hot? I think it'd be hot to have her roll her eyes and pretend to be annoyed by you as you paint her face.
Yeri:
B
Not much to say about this one. Yeri is definitely a freak in the sheets. So "messy bj" will be way more than just that. Choking, spitting on your cock, drooling all over it, telling you everything you want to hear. Yes, please. And I think Yeri would want you to cum all over her anyway. So whatever she chooses, I'd be more than happy to help her out.

What did you think of X-Men Blue Origins?
(I may turn this into a People's History of the Marvel Universe later today, so keep an eye on this space.)
X-Men Blue: Origins and the Power of the Additive Retcon
(WARNING: heavy spoilers under the cut)
Introduction
If you've been a long-time X-Men reader, or you're a listener of Jay & Miles or Cerebrocast or any number of other LGBT+ X-Men podcasts, you probably know the story about how Chris Claremont wrote Mystique and Destiny as a lesbian couple, but had to use obscure verbiage and subtextual coding to get past Jim Shooter's blanket ban on LGBT+ characters in the Marvel Universe.
Likewise, you're probably also familiar with the story that, when Chris Claremont came up with the idea that Raven Darkholme and Kurt Wagner were related (a plot point set up all the way back in Uncanny X-Men #142), he intended that Mystique was Nightcrawler's father, having used her shapeshifting powers to take on a male body and impregnate (her one true love) Irene. This would have moved far beyond subtext - but it proved to be a bridge too far for Marvel editorial, and Claremont was never able to get it past S&P.
This lacuna in the backstories of Kurt and Raven - who was Kurt's father? - would remain one of the enduring mysteries of the X-Men mythos...and if there's one thing that comic writers like, it's filling in these gaps with a retcon.
Enter the Draco
Before I get into the most infamous story in all of X-Men history, I want to talk about retcons a bit. As I've written before:
"As long as there have been comic books, there have been retcons. For all that they have acquired a bad reputation, retcons can be an incredibly useful tool in comics writing and shouldn’t be dismissed out of hand. Done right, retcons can add an enormous amount of depth and breadth to a character, making their worlds far richer than they were before. Instead, I would argue that retcons should be judged on the basis of whether they’re additive (bringing something new to the character by showing us a previously unknown aspect of their lives we never knew existed before) or subtractive (taking away something from the character that had previously been an important part of their identity), and how well those changes suit the character."
For a good example of an additive retcon, I would point to Chris Claremont re-writing Magneto's entire personality by revealing that he was a Jewish survivor of the Holocaust. As I have argued at some length, this transformed Magneto from a Doctor Doom knockoff into a complex and sympathetic character who could now work as a villain, anti-villain, anti-hero, or hero depending on the needs of the story.
For a good example of a subtractive retcon, I would point to...the Draco. If you're not familiar with this story, the TLDR is that it was revealed that Kurt's father was Azazel - an evil ancient mutant with the same powers and the same appearance (albeit color-shifted) as Kurt, who claims to be the devil and is part of a tribe of demonic-looking mutants who were banished to the Brimstone Dimension, and who fathered Nightcrawler as part of a plot to end this banishment.
I don't want to belabor Chuck Austen, because I think that Connor Goldsmith is right about his run actually being a camp cult classic in retrospect. However, I think we both agree that the Draco was a misfire, because of how the retcon undermined Kurt's entire thematic purpose as established in Giant-Size X-Men that Nightcrawler was actually a noble and arguably saintly man who suffered from unjust prejudice due to the random accident that his mutation made him appear to be a demon, and because of how the retcon undermined the centrality of Mystique and Destiny's relationship.
X-Men Blue Origins
This brings us to the Krakoan era. In HOXPOX and X-Men and Inferno, Jonathan Hickman had made Mystique and Destiny a crucial part of the story in a way that they hadn't been in decades: they were the great nemeses of Moira X, they were the force that threatened to burn Krakoa to the ground by revealing the devil's bargain that Xavier had struck with Sinister (and Moira), they were the lens through which the potential futures of Krakoa were explored, and they ultimately reshaped the Quiet Council and the Five in incredibly consequential ways.
This throughline was furthered after Hickman's departure, with Kieron Gillen exploring the backstories of Mystique and Destiny in Immortal X-Men and Sins of Sinister, and both Gillen and Si Spurrier exploring their relationship with Nightcrawler in AXE Judgement Day, Sins of Sinister, Way of X, Legion of X, Nightcrawlers, and Sons of X. One of the threads that wove through the interconnected fabric of these books was an increasing closeness between Kurt and Irene that needed an explanation. Many long-time readers began to anticipate that a retcon about Kurt's parentage was coming - and then we got X-Men Blue: Origins.
In this one issue, Si Spurrier had the difficult assignment of figuring out a way to "fix" the Draco and restore Claremont's intended backstory in a way that was surgical and elegant, that served the character arcs of Kurt, Raven, and Irene, and that dealt with complicated issues of trans and nonbinary representation, lesbian representation, disability representation, and the protean nature of the mutant metaphor. Thanks to help from Charlie Jane Anders and Steve Foxe, I think Spurrier succeeded tremendously.
I don't want to go through the issue beat-by-beat, because you should all read it, but the major retcon is that Mystique turns out to be a near-Omega level shapeshifter, who can rewrite themselves on a molecular level. Raven transformed into a male body and impregnated Irene, using bits of Azazel and many other men's DNA as her "pigments." In addition to being a deeply felt desire on both their parts to have a family together, this was part of Irene's plan to save them both (and the entire world) from Azazel's schemes, a plan that required them to abandon Kurt as a scapegoat-savior (a la Robert Graves' King Jesus), and to have Xavier wipe both their memories.
Now, I'm not the right person to write about what this story means on a representational level; I'll leave it to my LGBT+ colleagues on the Cerebrocast discord and elsewhere to discuss the personal resonances the story had for them.
What I will say, however, is that I thought this issue threaded the needle of all of these competing imperatives very deftly. It "fixed" the Draco without completely negating it, it really deepened and complicated the characters and relationships of both Raven and Irene (by showing that, in a lot of ways, Destiny is the more ruthless and manipulative of the two), and it honored Kurt's core identity as a man of hope and compassion (even if it did put him in a rather thankless ingénue role for much of the book).
It is the very acme of an additive retcon; nothing was lost, everything was gained.
I still think the baby Nightcrawler is just a bad bit, but then again I don't really vibe with Spurrier's comedic stylings.

speaking of greek films, do you have any recommendations? maybe even of the romcom variety? i've only seen zorba
And here's me whose ass still hasn't watched Zorba and even more embarrassingly I kinda thought it was a fully American movie adapting the Greek novel with some Greeks contributing, like actress Irene Papas and the music score by Mikis Theodorakis. It turns out you're right though, the film was directed, written and produced by the Greek filmmaker Michael Cacoyannis but then it was distributed by 20th Century Fox so it was a Greece - USA production.
I don't know if you can speak or are learning Greek though because Zorba was a co-production and it was mostly in English but a fully Greek production is in Greek and most don't get subtitled for international audiences. I will give you some personal recs but I can't guarantee you will find subtitles easily or you will have to do some severe digging. I have made the recs in an older answer so I am linking that post:
I will give a more updated rec list too:
Faves of mine:
From the link above the ones I would advice one to not miss are:
Η Κάλπικη Λίρα (The Counterfeit Coin, 1955). It's not only my favourite Greek movie but it's also in the All Time Top 100 Best Movies of International Cinema list of some very legit major institution that I am forgetting now XD It's a social dramedy with top tier comedians and drama actors co-starring and it's basically four different life stories connected through the same counterfeit coin.
Αχ, αυτή η γυναίκα μου! (Oh, that wife of mine!, 1967) It's a situational comedy. It's hilarious but if you don't know Greek, I don't know how well it translates to a different language. Man desperately wanting a promotion gets in a chaotic situation when his playboy boss first gets outraged and then obsessed with his wife, without knowing her true identity.
5 λεπτά ακόμα (5 minutes more, 2006) I still think this movie is very underrated. It's a metaphysical philosophical dark dramedy with a great understated score. You can find it on youtube, obviously without English subtitles and with bad quality but hey at least it's on youtube! A morally neutral man with jealousy issues dies and is given five more minutes in the mortal world, which will determine his afterlife.
Το Τανγκό των Χριστουγέννων (Christmas Tango, 2011). Romantic drama. A soldier gets unintentionally entagled in the unrequited / forbidden romance of his mysterious aloof commander. Now this movie has a queer element. It does not have a queer happy end but it has both straight and queer themes and honestly it's a beautiful movie. You can find it on youtube.
Ρεμπέτικο (Rembetiko, 1983). Drama. The tragic life of a female singer of the then underground Rembetiko music scene, the music genre the Greeks of Asia Minor brought along after the Asia Minor Catastrophe and the population exchange between Turkey and Greece in the first half of the 20th century. Personally, I am not crazy about this movie but this doesn't mean necessarily anything because it gets good reviews in imdb even outside Greece. But I personally recommend it for its INSANE score and songs. These songs have become emblematic in the Greek music scene. The composer, Stavros Xarhakos, makes a cameo in the movie.
I still recommend the other recs in the old list too, especially the comedies. Also, like I have said, you can't go too wrong with Greek comedies of the 50s-60s in general. Since I said that, here's a list of faves and critics' choices of Greek movies from the 50s-70s.
Some other faves not in the old lists:
Το χώμα βάφτηκε κόκκινο (Blood on the Land, 1966). A Greek Western! Who would have thought but it is good! When I say western, I don't mean Cowboys vs Natives of course, but I mean land property disputes, rural, animosity gets out of hand, social class inequality etc etc and it is actually linked to Greek social history of the 20th century. And finally a Greek movie that takes good advantage of the Meteora. The movie was a nominee for best foreign film in the Oscars .
Strella, 2009. This is a strictly 18+ movie. It is a queer movie BUT it is also a very edgy movie, like, it can be perceived as extremely edgy no matter if you are a member of the LGBTQIA+ community or not. It's not the imagery that makes it edgy but the plot at some point takes a serious left turn. So, only watch if you're into weird cinema territory. I have warned you. Personally I am not into weird cinema but I liked this one. Man gets out of prison after years of incarceration for committing a murder. He befriends and soon gets into a relationship with a trans female sex worker. The protagonist, Mina Orfanou, is actually a trans woman and she was really praised for her performance in this.
Ιφιγένεια (Iphigenia, 1977). Directed by Michael Cacoyannis like Zorbas, this is a movie about the myth of the sacrifice of Iphigenia, Agamemnon's daugher, with an all-Greek cast. It is kind of those theater-to-movie films so don't expect Troy level of production. It has very minimal sets. Also, it's the 70s, the bible and sandal era, so the costumes are really anachronistic and inaccurate but other than that it is a good movie. It was nominated for the Oscar for foreign language film. And it's on youtube with English subtitles.
youtube
A few other recs:
Antigone (1961). Even more than Iphigenia, this is almost pure theatre filmed. The acting is theatrical, the staging is theatrical, it's all just theatre really. This is a very loyal adaptation of Euripides' Antigone. The acting is very good.
America America (1963). A movie by Greek American filmmaker Elia Kazan that I haven't watched yet but it is very famous. Biographical historical drama, inspired by Kazan's uncle. The struggles and feats of a Greek of Anatolia, Ottoman Empire (modern day Turkey) trying to secure a passage to America in the late 19th - early 20th century. It is an Academy Awards winner.
Πολίτικη Κουζίνα (A Touch of Spice, 2003). The life of a boy and his relationship to his beloved grandfather, who instilled in him the love for cooking and astronomy, as they part ways when the boy and his parents are deported from Turkey after the ongoing tensions started from the incidents of the Istanbul pogrom in 1955, while the grandfather is able to legally stay behind. I wouldn't put this movie in my faves but it is very aesthetically pleasing and has a wonderful score. It is also an introduction to the special historical bond Greeks have with Constantinople / Istanbul and the tragic story of it all.
Έτερος Εγώ (Heteros Ego / The Other Me, 2016). Crime Mystery. This movie is very popular. I think it's overrated but you can judge for yourself. It is on youtube. I personally liked more the TV series that was its continuation (the first two seasons only, because the third was horrible). It is suitable for 17+ audiences. An eccentric criminology professor is summoned to investigate murder cases where the murderer cites quotes by Pythagoras.
Man of God, 2021. If you are a Christian / religious, watch it. I would like this movie more if the director had not forced all the cast to perform in English in order to make an international screening. It takes away from their performance because it is so unnatural and illogical. But otherwise it is an interesting topic and the actors try their best despite that massive handicap. This is the true story of Saint Nektarios of Aegina island and his unfair defamation by the rest of the clergy.
Η Φόνισσα (The Murderess, 2023). Unfortunately this movie does not hold a candle to the original novel of Alexandros Papadiamantis written in 1903 - quite possibly the first feminist literary work written by a man - but it is your next best alternative unless you can read the book or a translation of it. In this case, totally skip the movie and read the book, which is excellent and my favourite Greek novel. But if you watch the movie, just know it took many liberties for the worse. It has good acting and cinematography though. The story explores the life and mind of Frankoyannou, a hardened peasant woman, as more and more female infants and young girls are found murdered in her village, including her own grand-daughter.
Miss Violence, 2013. This movie is incredibly disturbing and I wish I could forget what I saw. If you like disturbing cinema, obviously 18+, watch it. It sickens you to the core though. An ordinary 11 year old girl commits suicide the day her ordinary family celebrates her birthday. Minute by minute we learn more about the family though and minute by minute we realise this is not a regular family AT ALL.
More weirdness. If you actually do like weird cinema, then you can also explore Yorgos Lanthimos' old Greek movies. These are easier to find since Lanthimos is globally famous now. Dogtooth was his Greek movie that was a nominee in the Oscars. But he has a couple more. (By the way, Miss Violence makes Dogtooth seem like a My Little Pony episode.)
More length. Theo Angelopoulos was an acclaimed Greek director, famous for his slow lengthy movies that explore philosophical and other themes. Several movies of his are acclaimed internationally. His most awarded ones are Ο Θίασος (The Travelling Players, 1975), Ταξίδι στα Κύθηρα (Voyage to Cythera, 1984), Το βλέμμα του Οδυσσέα (Ulysses' Gaze, 1995), Μια Αιωνιότητα και μια Μέρα (Eternity and a Day, 1998), Τοπίο στην Ομίχλη (Landscape in the Mist, 1988).
More Kazantzakis. Since you have watched Zorba the Greek, a film based on the novel Life and Times of Alexis Zorbas by Nikos Kazantzakis, perhaps you will be interested in two more movies based on other novels of his, even if they are not purely Greek or Greek productions. The first one is the very famous The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) starring Willem Dafoe, directed by Martin Scorsese. The problem is that this movie is often very misunderstood as edgy / anti-Christian / atheist whereas Kazantzakis' intent with his book was kinda the exact opposite so he probably rolls nonstop in his grave with some readings I have seen being made of the movie, even here on tumblr. Scorcese obviously focused more on the edgy factor than Kazantzakis did, further encouraging such misinterpretations but you could still be able to understand the meaning of Kazantzakis' book through the movie, now that I told you that Kazantzakis was essentially a secular theological / Christian philosopher. The other one is Ο Χριστός Ξανασταυρώνεται (Christ Recrucified / He Who Must Die, 1957). A French / Italian production, also featuring the Greek actress Melina Mercuri. A Greek village in Anatolia in 1920 (Modern day Turkey) stages a Passion Play for Easter. Staging the play leads to them rebelling against their Turkish rulers in a way that mirrors Jesus's story. There is also a Greek TV series adapting the novel in 1975 - 1976, which is closer to the book and gets better reviews and you can watch it in the streaming platform I recommend below.
ERTFLIX. Ertflix is the state TV's OTT platform and it is entirely for free, while also available internationally. It has both desktop and app formats and you can also add it to several TV boxes, Chromecast, Roku etc For the free service that it is, it has an abundance of series, movies and documentaries so I can never stop praising it...! There you can find numerous Greek movies / series / documentaries to watch, plus even more foreign stuff with Greek subtitles if you're learning Greek and need to practice. Plus it has interviews, the invaulable archives of the state TV and so much more. In Greece it is not necessary but for using the platform abroad you will have to register as a user but it is entirely for free. Ertflix I love you. Below is a screenshot with some Greek movies available now:
Scroll to the Greek cinema option (or to the Greek series). The site is built in both Greek and English.
Where you can find ERTFLIX:
The aforementioned TV series based on Kazantzakis' novel.
Upcoming movies of Greek interest:
Maria. The biopic of Maria Callas, rather her last years, starring Angelina Jolie. Is Jolie a good casting choice for Callas? Well, no. People say she does a good job in it however. I don't know about that and I am going to be sceptical because I love Maria Callas and I don't think she can be easily (at all) imitated. I 'll watch it though. From the trailer I see Jolie did a very legit job with Callas' speaking manner and accent, this is hopeful. Part of the movie was filmed in Greece too.
The Return. Starring Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche, this is a retelling of the last part of the Odyssey, once Odysseus has returned to Ithaca and has to reclaim his rule and home from Penelope's suitors. It is a realistic retelling, not featuring the gods, based on the trailer I saw. I had my reservations for this casting but Fiennes looks good as old Odysseus IMO and Binoche is a brunette French, of course she can pass easily as a Greek. They are also both good and serious actors and I am sure they give their best in the movie. The drawback is that it's like we return to the 70s with these poor and anachronistic costumes and sets. And also aside from the protagonists, who would have thought there was so much diversity in Ithaca / s, a REAL, TINY and REMOTE Greek island. Telemachus looks like the blondest of Swedes and then the Ithacians have apparently descent from Scandinavia to Southeast Asia to central Africa. Amazing. Ithaca, the New York of Bronze Age. At least Fiennes (in this) and Binoche do pass as Greeks... What makes the movie a little promising for me is the amazing physique Fiennes achieved for it: the parts half dead old beggar and parts godly warrior king. He nailed it. The scene with the bow, I know already I will get the chills.
From this alone I know Fiennes is doing a terrific job in this. He is always invested very seriously in his movies.
Anyway, one third of the movie is shot in Greece and ERT (the Greek State TV) is actually a co-producer (a rarity with international movies of Greek mythological interest nowadays), so once it's done from movie theaters, it is going to be available for free on ERTFLIX... apparently globally. I so hope this movie does not disappoint me.
A lot of these can be found in links in greek-movies.com but you didn't hear it from me.

among all the pain there was you | mapi leon x ingrid engen
AN: So funny story but I actually wrote this back in February at the encouragement of a friend. But then I never got around to typing it up, so it's just been sitting in a notebook for a couple months. I'm sick this weekend though, and so with my new found free time I finally got around to polishing it off, and here we are. This is also available on ao3 for anyone who prefers.
I've never written anything for this fandom before, but soccer has taken a hold of my obsessions like no other, so. Hope people enjoy!
Tags: injury, hurt/comfort, fluff
When Mapi had torn her meniscus, at first all she’d felt was pain. She had felt a pop in her knee, and immediately the pain had begun to rush in, forcing her to the ground.
But after she had been taken off the training pitch and healthily dosed up with painkillers, the dread had begun to set in. She knew this was bad. The scans hadn’t been done yet, but she knew what she had felt, and it wasn’t good. Even worse, Ingrid was out with a cold today, and couldn’t be there to comfort her.
“How bad is it?” Mapi asked the doctor.
“We won’t know for sure till we can run more tests tomorrow, but I’m sorry Mapi, it doesn’t look good.”
All Mapi wanted to do now was go home and cry. This was it, her season was over. And she hadn’t gotten the chance to help Barcelona win the league for the 5th time in a row, or get them to another champions league final, or lift the Supercopa trophy one more time.
And what about the team? Jana and Irene were both already injured, and while Ingrid was doing a great job filling in as a centre-back it wasn’t her natural position by any means.
As Mapi was trying to hold herself together, she looked up at a knock on the door to see Ingrid standing there, waiting to come in.
“Corazón, what are you doing here? You’re sick, you should be at home, resting.” Mapi motioned for Ingrid to enter the room.
“Of course I am here Maria, I came as soon as I heard you were injured. You are the most important thing to me. Now come, let me take you home.”
Mapi was really struggling to hold back the tears now that Ingrid was here. But she grabbed her crutches and nodded.
Ingrid stayed close to her as Mapi hobbled her way out of the Barcelona training centre.
“How are you really feeling, min kjaere?” Ingrid asked softly.
“I’m fine, corazón,” Mapi tried to put on a brave face and smile but Ingrid looked at her with doubt in her eyes.
“Alright Maria, let’s just get you home, ok?”
Mapi nodded and they headed to the car.
—
The whole car ride home, Mapi could feel Ingrid chancing glances filled with worry over at her every time the car stopped, but she struggled to keep herself together and not let herself fall apart.
As they pulled into the driveway Mapi let out a shaky sigh. All she wanted to do was go lay in bed and cry, but she didn’t want to worry Ingrid. She would be fine eventually, no need to make a big deal out of it.
“Come on kjaere, let’s get you inside.”
Ingrid was looking at her like she was made of glass. Something precious that needed to be treated with care. It only made Mapi want to cry more.
They entered the house and Ingrid got Mapi settled on the couch while she went to go order dinner.
“What would you like for dinner, kjaere? I’m thinking we could order your favourite, sushi? How does that sound?”
Mapi just nodded mutely while Ingrid looked on in concern.
“How are you really feeling, Maria? And don’t tell me you’re fine, you clearly aren’t fine, and you don’t have to be.”
Mapi finally broke and burst into tears. Ingrid immediately sat down and pulled Mapi into her arms.
“Oh shh, shh, just let it all out, I’ve got you.”
Ingrid sat there and held Mapi while she cried for what felt like ages, feeling like her own heart was breaking the whole while.
“Come on Maria, talk to me, let me support you.”
“That’s the rest of my season over, Ingrid. I know it hasn’t been confirmed but I know my own body. I don’t know if I can cope with being out for that long, I’ve never done this before.”
Mapi looked like she was about to burst into sobs again and Ingrid pulled her close and held her tight.
“It’ll be ok Maria, you won’t have to get through this alone. I’ll be here for you every step of the way.”
“But what if I can’t do it, Ingrid? What if I never play like I did before, what if I never come back.”
The look of fear and sadness in Mapi’s eyes had Ingrid wishing she could give up her own knee if it meant Mapi didn’t have to go through this.
“Shh, shh, don’t talk like that min kjaere. You’re so strong, you’re going to get through this and come back even stronger. And if you don’t? Well, we’ll deal with that like we do everything, together.”
Ingrid pulled Mapi even further into her arms, trying to provide as much comfort as she could to the still shaking woman in her arms.
Mapi began to finally calm down. Everything was still a mess, but at least Ingrid was here with her to get her through this.
“Let’s get you to bed kjaere, we can cuddle until the food arrives.”
As Mapi settled into Ingrid’s arms she started to finally believe that everything would really be ok, because Ingrid was here and together they could face anything.

I yearn to talk about my Dracula!Holmes au, and the universe has seen fit to give me free will and internet access, so talk i shall.
Listen. Hear me out just hear me out.
We literally have Johnathan motherfucking Harker whose written POV we read Dracula from for like a solid half of the book, right. Well, no more, he's John Watson now babeyyy, a retired army man now gainfully employed as a lawyer who's off overseas to act as estate agent to the strange and eccentric client who has expressed interest in moving to foggy London... Count Holmes! [insert jazz hands]
Instead of being Evil(tm) and plotting to take over London or whatever, my guy is just Autistic. Also riddled with ADHD and in desperate need of some enrichment in he goddamn enclosure. He will also in fact be trans, because. Of course. Vampirism as a metaphor for queerness and the social ostracization that follows as a punishment and having inherently queer narratives intertwined in them etc etc... anyhow! Count Sherlock Holmes, vampire detective!!!
(I do also want him to be aroace, or aroacespec at least, but I'm willing to negotiate for the Johnlock and the Johnlock alone.)
Mina Harker here is of course the one and only Mary Morstan, although it is clearly a lavender marriage, because we aren't cowards in this household and so Mary gets to be gay with her Lucy equivalent here, just as god intended. I haven't decided who her Lucy equivalent will be yet but this au is still young (technically I've been going insane about it in my mind for like a month or two but whatever) and there's no reason we can't make up an OC for her Lucy.
John Watson, resident gay doctor lawyer, of course, is smart enough to realize the enigmatic Count Holmes' vampiric secret within like one adventure, but he sure is going to have a slow burn of realizing just how gay he is for said enigmatic Count Holmes. We, of course, get to witness this tooth rotting bullshit firsthand as we read his diary entries and some later letters to Mary.
And instead of being one long gothic horror narrative, it's just adventure of the week with your friendly neighborhood crime solving vampire, the various other mythical creatures who do said crimes, and Just Some Guy.
Just, every Sherlock Holmes adventure adapted into this au with other supernatural elements. The guy from the Red Headed League is a local villager being bamboozled by a leprechaun, the Silver Blaze thing is about a kelpie. Everyone including Sherlock was operating on the assumption that Irene Adler was a siren, but actually she was just a regular human, and instead of unlearning misogyny (bc I don't see trans vampire Sherlock living so long through changing times and society and being sexist), Sherlock has to learn not to underestimate the intelligence of humans.
Also, he's just really excited to have this new human, John, living in his castle. So curious, too, about humans, he has sequestered himself from them for such a long time and John seems like a very interesting one. He's probably the first friend Sherlock has had in a long time, too.
Also. Instead of being warded off or harmed by garlic, to Sherlock, garlic is just the vampire version of cocaine. He just gets high as fuck off garlic. Could live on the stuff. And the reason people think he's warded off by garlic is just because he was seen getting high off his ass, turning into a bat, and flying away in loop de loops upon consuming garlic one (1) time. And everyone thought it's his weakness. And he never bothered correcting them bc Why Would He. He's basically getting free cocaine left and right from villagers who are scared/wary of the supernatural Count Holmes and only go to him when there's no other option, and it's no bother to leave people he's not investigating alone.
I genuinely do think cocaine!garlic addicted Sherlock has so much comedic potential, it really is so beloved to me. Just imagine, if you will, an extremely put-upon John Watson caring for Batlock who has gotten high off his ass and refuses to stop flying into his own antique chandelier.
I was also thinking that it would be funny to have Mrs. Hudson and Mrs. Turner in place of Dracula's sexy vampire roommates or whatever those three were lmao (I couldn't think of a third character, sorry)
Also. Obviously. Van Helsing has got to be Moriarty, by virtue of opposition. I do think their whole deal has a lot of potential to be very funny and entertaining also. I am also considering it might be fun to have Lucy's other suitors be the Scotland Yarders, like Lestrade, Gregson and what have you, but that risks missing out on the very fun possible dynamic of "Sherlock being exasperated with the dumbass out of their depth Yarders he keeps helping" raised to like the hundredth degree so. I honestly would like people's thoughts on that.
Anyway so YES, Dracula au please and thank you. Maybe with endgame QPR Johnlock? Yes? Please? Queerplatonic husbands Johnlock is my shit.
In conclusion: THANK YOU FOR COMING TO MY TED TALK <3
#i need to draw them actually im going so insane#but i lack 1 the artistic skill#2 the time and energy#3 the ability to draw all this down half as well as i could potentially write it#4 the time to write it either#it really do be like that#im dying about this.#sherlock holmes#john watson#mary morstan#lesbian mary morstan#gay john watson#aroace sherlock holmes#queer sherlock holmes#johnlock#qpr johnlock my beloved....#dracula au#dracula#vampire au#supernatural elements#starr rambles#has this been done before#it must be#it probably has and ive not scrolled far enough in the tags but oh well we ball#so yeah#acd holmes#granada holmes#i wish this could be art...#i know i am a writer i could write this#im so ill about them and i need more people to join me and be insane please im begging

Private Rites by Julia Armfield
Release date: 3 December 2024
Genre: adult literary/speculative/horror fiction
From the award-winning author of Our Wives Under the Sea, a speculative reimagining of King Lear, centering three sisters navigating queer love and loss in a drowning world
It’s been raining for a long time now, so long that the land has reshaped itself and arcane rituals and religions are creeping back into practice. Sisters Isla, Irene, and Agnes have not spoken in some time when their father dies. An architect as cruel as he was revered, his death offers an opportunity for the sisters to come together in a new way. In the grand glass house they grew up in, their father’s most famous creation, the sisters sort through the secrets and memories he left behind, until their fragile bond is shattered by a revelation in his will.
More estranged than ever, the sisters’ lives spin out of control: Irene’s relationship is straining at the seams; Isla’s ex-wife keeps calling; and cynical Agnes is falling in love for the first time. But something even more sinister might be unfolding, something related to their mother’s long-ago disappearance and the strangers who have always seemed unusually interested in the sisters’ lives. Soon, it becomes clear that the sisters have been chosen for a very particular purpose, one with shattering implications for their family and their imperiled world.
Content warnings: death, parental death, grief, child abuse, emotional/verbal, abandonment, violence, blood, suicide, lesbophobia, divorce, alcoholism, eating disorder, vomit, self harm, stalking, gaslighting
Disclaimer: I know nothing about King Lear, other than the fact that the guy has three daughters, so my review will be written without taking into consideration the source material.
Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC!
Not gonna lie, I sort of struggled with this one. This is a relatively short read, a little under 300 pages, but it took me nearly a week to complete this book. ( I typically finish 300 pages in 2 or 3 days.) I think the main reason for this is that the pacing is slow. Like, really slow. There's not a lot of plot going on, and for the most part, we follow our three main characters going about their day to day lives.
A large focus is on the relationship between the sisters and their parents (or lack thereof). I really resonated with the portrayal of their sibling relationship; there were moments that felt like the author had written down the exact thoughts and feelings I've had about my own siblings. (Although me and my siblings definitely get along better.) The trio's relationship with their parents is less focused upon, but impossible to ignore, especially with the tension caused by their father's death.
The speculative setting feels ever more timely; the city they live in is being gradually submerged by rising waters, which has become so normal that the constant rain and ferry rides is just another aspect of their lives. I loved the sections in between the main story entitled The City; it shows what is going on outside of the main characters and gives the story a different perspective.
This book really captures how boring it is living through the end times. (I hate that this is relatable.) There is a underlying tension caused by the ever-present rain and gradually increasing flooding, but the characters still have to go to work and do chores.
The story isn't entirely miserable; Agnes finds love amidst all the mundanity, and it is ordinary and extraordinary at the same time. In Everything Everywhere All At Once, Ke Huy Quan's character says "In another life, I would have loved doing laundry and taxes with you." I think this sentiment captures Agnes's relationship with Stephanie completely.
I sort of forgot that this is supposed to be a horror novel; aside from a few weird moments plus the overall creepy vibe, this book read more as lit fic than horror. Towards the end, however, the horror elements kick into full gear. There is a huge tonal shift that I am not sure I like? It felt out of place with the rest of the narrative. Maybe I am missing something, but I don't see how the ending fits in with the overall/rest of the book.
Other than the ending, this book as a whole is gorgeous and lyrical and relatable, and will definitely be staying with me for some time.

indefinite hiatus
hey everyone....I just wanted to state it loud and clear now that I'm currently taking a long break from Tumblr for a couple of reasons. some of these reasons may even seem familiar as you've probably seen other fanfic authors stating the same issue again and again.
lack of interactions
remember when I had my 'battle of the restaurant' event? when it came to requesting, everyone was sooooo eager to ask for stories to be written. but when I published them? barely any interactions. no likes, no reposts, barely a comment of 'thank you'. it was as if I was a robot, publishing pieces over and over again for nothing. all the hard work I poured into my event: gone.
this wasn't the first time though. every time I publish something, the like-to-reblog ratio is pathetic. no one wants to comment anything sweet or even just a silly ramble. where is the interactions? where is the liveliness that Tumblr is famous for?
2. burn out from irl
sometimes, I feel like I switch fandoms too quick and too fast for me to publish some works from previous fandoms. I started out as a twst author but now I'm into one piece and haikyuu and so many other fandoms that I feel like I have to write for them-
and then when I try to enjoy some anime, I realize that I'm barely feeding any readers with any content and then I'm feeling so much writers' block from the pressure I put onto myself. I understand that this is no one's fault, perhaps from my own perfectionist issues but it's still a problem I face day after day.
3. a new stage of life
nowadays, I'm in a position where I have more and more work poured onto me, leaving me barely anytime to write any content for my readers. it's honestly hurting me too, whenever I do my own IRL work and then start worrying about what everyone thinks about my lack of interaction in comparison to everyone else. I'm feeling more and more drained from this constant cycle of worry and manic stress
so, other than the lack of interaction, it's not really anyone's fault. please don't start getting depressed thinking you've utterly destroyed me into a million pieces (I promise I'm fine, I'm just working on myself right now). but please reflect on my works and how you interact with other fanfic authors on this website. Tumblr is a beautiful place with some of the most beautiful work I've ever seen and some of the most thoughtful pieces of writing and art I've been blessed with. don't let something like lack of engagement ruin what Tumblr is. please
a small thank you to all my mutuals who've kept me company for the past few months, year even.
@cloudcountry: you are my inspiration. my advisor whenever I'm lost, my biggest hype-man whenever I published something for 'battle of the restaurants' or just simple pieces of writing for the famous auburn x azul ashengrotto (priest siren for the win!!), and one of my earliest friends on Tumblr. thank you for making my time here so special and memorable, I'll keep a small place for you in my heart, always. please read her work and be nice to auburn!! she's a rare gem in Tumblr, super talented and super kind to everyone <3
@officialdaydreamer0: one of the best artists and horror writers I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. reading Irene's lore have never made me feel so much pity for an OC before yet I'm memorized by her intricate vocabulary when describing the horror setting. but in sharp comparison, her art and doodles are nothing but extraordinary. I wish I had Irene's ability to draw anatomy and clothing (!!!) as well as she does. but as a friend, thank you for being there for me. you were a constant anchor here in Tumblr so thank you for keeping me grounded. love you Irene!!
@hisui-dreamer: rinna!! she's honestly super cute and bubbly, her love for jade and her commitment into making her eel of jade was so adorable to see on every new post. not to mention her writing!! super beautiful and gorgeous pieces of work that I just want to gobble up everytime it appears on my dash. please continue enjoying her test work and whatever new fandom she finds in the future! rinna, thank you for being one of my best friends here in Tumblr, your sweet personality will always be remembered.
my first friend, @pastelclovds: thank you for being one of the best, if not (in my humble opinion), the best Dom reader blogs ive ever had the pleasure to find in Tumblr. as a Dom reader blog myself, your works are truly works of art because of how sinfully delightful each and every work is. although I may not be in the same fandom as you sometimes, the way you write the character's reactions are so perfect!! the imagery is so carefully crafted that I feel like watching rather than reading (in a completely good way!! if that makes sense??) please continue writing, we need more Dom reader blogs on Tumblr for starved people aka me. thank you for being there for me always, ame!! kisses and hugs to you, MUAH
to all my other mutuals, @ceruleancattail, @v-anrouge @merotwst (still waiting for my art hehe), @siphoklansan, @the-dumber-scaramouche, @savanaclaw1996, don't think I didn't forget you all!! I'm just feeling a bit drained rn to continue dedicating small paragraphs to each and every one of you (because you deserve the WORLD). thank you for sticking with my weird ass and being some of the best friends, if not, platonic soulmates on Tumblr ever. your works, whether art or writing, has always left me breathless in awe. keep shining, keep being who you are, and don't let criticism knock you down!! stupid anons who never have the balls to save things without the anonymous features!! I will fight them for you, give me a text!!! but love you all and thank you all so so much for everything,
to all my followers!! thank you for supporting me from when I first began (with cringe worthy smut works to fluff fics from one piece). idk how did you like my smut works from the beginning, it makes me cry when I reread them lmao. but all 700+ (WHEN DID I GO FROM 500 TO 700???) of you are gorgeous human beings that deserve to exist as your beautiful selves. please enjoy some of my moots works as well <3. but your support, from that one anon who sent me a paragraph on how beautiful my Jamil fanfic for mero's summer competition (whoever you are, YOU DESERVE EVERYTHING AND MORE!! IT MADE YOU CRY BRO I'M SO SAD I CAN'T FIND IT NOW) to some random comment about how sweet ace is (bc he honestly is), has made my day even better.
I'll still be here on Tumblr, but probably just lurking. I think I'm just too drained to join convos or be here 24/7 but I'll keep reposting pro-palestine posts and being here if someone sends me an inbox or a message!! thank you all for understanding <3.
one day I'll come back. I swear I will.
I'm going to blow you out of the water with my new writing skills (LIES I'M NOT GONNA GET THAT MUCH BETTER LMAO)!!! :)))
xoxo, siren-serenity

If MCD gets turned into a book I am almost certain the autism ghosts will possess me again and I’ll have to making a 5 hour long rant with a conspiracy style string chart on my wall
GOD mcd as a book genuinely makes me both so excited and terrified at the same time. I've had this ask sitting in my inbox for like a day now because idk entirely how to voice all the opinions i have about this. AT THE VERY LEAST: It's cool that Jess hasn't forgotten entirely about MCD, and while it sounds like the plans to continue myst are more clear/doable (its the same format she's always done, all it takes is for her to write a conclusion she feels satisfied with. which is definitely a large feat but it feels more in-reach than expanding on mcd right now), its cool that theres still an interest for MCD as well.
SORRY THIS POST IS ABOUT TO GET LONG TURNS OUT IM VERY MENTALLY ILL ABOUT THIS SERIES WHO COULDVE GUESSED. SORRY. HERE'S YOUR CHANCE TO ESCAPE PLEASE TAKE IT NOW.
CONTINUING: MCD continuation sounds like it is not in reach right now, and not entirely a priority either. It's not even in pre-production yet, it sounds like she hasn't even decided on a format to release it as, which means relatively zero work has gone into making that yet. (Beyond the guideline that has already been written for it in the form of the existing MCD story that we know and are familiar with.) We don't even know if it would be a book!! JESS doesn't even know if it would be a book!! I don't know how I'd feel about it if it WAS a book! She's been vocal about wanting something akin to an anime or animated series before iirc (though i dont remember the source for this so correct me if im wrong), so it could be that thats still something she wants to pursue with and getting a whole animated show at a good quality is hard! I don't know!!! Nobody knows!!!! (And I don't know if she's ever even produced anything aside from Youtube Video Storytelling/RP series. Sure she has a very successful toy line, but that's not really a writing/storytelling medium. And I guess there's the music videos, but those are... um......... bad........ And we know she's no stranger to fanfic, thanks to the fucklist if nothing else, but i've literally never SEEN her writing go towards something that wasnt a Minecraft Youtube Video. On this note, if anyone is familiar with work Jess/the team has done for something that ISNT the medium of things she posts to her youtube channel, please send it my way I'd be very interested in checking it out.)
I think I'm glad that at the very least, it wont be produced in the same style as her modern rps (the style used for mcds3 + modern mystreet content + Rebirth too actually...) because I really don't enjoy that style... to me a big part of MCD honestly is the fact that things are for the most part kept in Aphmau's POV of things, something they ditch alot in modern rp content. But switching that format to something else might not lend to telling it the same way. Which is scary to me!! (honestly I personally think mcd would function really well as a first person visual novel or something along those lines. but if anything, that might require more writing than a book would, since there'd be choices and paths...) And obviously ppl HAVE attempted things similar to retelling mcd as a book before, there might be more MCD rewrites out there than MCD fanfics at this point tbh im not blind. But there's still the difficulty of being able to tell that story well in a medium it was not originally produced in/arguably meant for.
There's also the point of: I don't really Like a lot of the more recent choices Jess has made with MCD's story somewhat recently. The stuff with Irene in Mystreet just feels like a mess, I don't like the idea of the two having crossover. And while Rebirth for the most part was pretty good, there are still some things I have gripes with, mostly with how Aphmau is presented as a character and agency problems she's had since all the way back in mcd s2. There's a very real possibility that I just wont enjoy MCD as the way Jess wants to tell it now. And thats like fine, obviously, but it is also a little disheartening.
and then there's the point of: still knowing that i probably won't like how it ends, WE WILL LIKELY GET AN ACTUAL END. can you imagine that. MCD with an ending. a canon ending. I doubt it would be in the first installment of whatever MCD gets published as (if it gets published at all), seeing as even in Rebirth jess was planning on it having 2 seasons, but still. Even if I don't like the ending, the idea that there will BE ONE OUT THERE for me to bounce off of is incredible to me.
when it comes down to it: i honestly don't have much hopes of MCD ever being officially finished in any capacity. I hate to be a downer about it so soon after news that Should be Good. But the fact that she doesn't even know what MEDIUM she wants it to be in is not a good sign. If it Will ever be officially published in some form, it's likely it won't be for a very very long time. Not like mcd fans are strangers to waiting, but still. As a professional MCD Waiter, I would not be surprised if we are left waiting forever. It happened with original mcd, it happened with rebirth, i do not doubt it will continue happening for a very long time. I'm scared to get my hopes up for a finished story of any kind, because it's never approached Finished before. Its very hard for me to get excited over something I know will likely be abandoned, possibly before it's even been started.
but yeah if we get mcd book ill read it probably. ya know. whatever or something. <guy who is trying not to look like he cares about this a lot

Internet Archive Link
Hey everyone! I'm updating this blog once again to let everyone I've made the novelization available in its entirety on the Internet Archive, so anyone can read it whenever they want. After all, if this really is the only copy of the book in the entire world, it belongs somewhere it can be preserved forever, so that future scholars may one day ruminate on the life and times of the Brand X Mashed Potato Man.
Thank you to anyone who's read even a single post of this blog- I really wanted to catalogue ALL the differences between the movie and the novelization, so there's a definitive comparison online somewhere of just how different the two are. Besides that, I've always wanted to write a blog about an obscure movie novelization- and what better to do than the novelization of Foodfight!, one so obscure nobody had EVER written about it before (and will probably never write about again)? This was a lot of fun for me, but now we've analyzed every chapter and I've compared it to the finished film, I think we're done with it. We put together a lot of pieces of the Foodfight! puzzle with the novelization, the storyboards and everything else- and sure that puzzle isn't completely solved yet, but maybe it will be someday. Who can say what the future holds? For now, I'm satisfied with having found and documented a far superior version of Foodfight! for everyone to enjoy.
Unless something crazy happens in the future, like I get an interview with a cast member, or I find some other long-lost piece of media relating to the movie (like the tie-in videogame; now THAT seems to be truly lost), I think this marks the end of our journey. I hope this blog answers all your questions, and I sincerely hope you loved accompanying me as we solved the mystery of this long-lost novelization together. So from me, Tiffany Amber, this is goodbye...for now. Maybe this cookie crumb trail isn't completely dry yet?

Vintage love (part 3)
Part 1 part 2
Specifically my favourite part!
Sherlock and y/n stevens got married a week ago, after the Irene Adler trouble they kinda got along, forgetting her ofcourse. But she still asked time to know him better, though it wasn't going to change anything for her or for Holmes. For Sherlock being loved was new, but fascinating and for her loving someone whom she fell for as well was joyous.
Their days were going well, sitting by the fireplace listening to Sherlock's cases, and Sherlock feeling the urge to reach home to see his beloved's smile. These were all they needed.
But Mrs Holmes needed something else too, employment, job. She never wanted to be just a housewife. She searched for suitable jobs, but governess? No she needed something else, rather exciting. So she one day sat beside Sherlock and asked, "so Mr Holmes? How was your day?"
"As usual Mrs Holmes, beating lestrade in intelligence has become boring now".
"Careful Mr Holmes, hope you're not becoming over confidence."
"Not a bit darling, it's just a fact" . Replied Holmes smirking. To which she also laughed softly.
"Okay, I get it". Said she.
"I know, so what is it?".
"Hm?" She enquired.
"I feel like you want to say or ask something to me, is it not so Mrs Holmes?" Asked Sherlock Holmes.
"my husband will never let me have secrets." Said she joking "yes I do have to tell or rather ask something, suggestion or help perhaps?"
"I'm all ears" replied Sherlock.
"Mr Holmes I was thinking I don't like staying in home all the time".
"Mrs Hudson bothers you with her stories?" Interrupts he.
"Uh no, on the contrary, i was thinking of being employed and working, I want to work to be more specific."
"That's very good, what do you want to do?" Asked Sherlock.
"Don't know that yet, that's why I need you to advice me, what do to?".
To this Sherlock clasped his hands and drowned into deep thinking. Mrs Holmes leaned to him and put her head over his shoulder thinking when will he be free talk again.
"What do you like to do?" Asked Sherlock.
"You know that already don't you?" Replied she.
"Hmm, true . Have you tried being a painter?"
"It's my hobby not my passion ".
"Well then how about...." Before he could finish she jumped and said,
"Oh I've got a thing for you". Saying this she went to the table and took a paper with her and showed it to Sherlock, letting him see what's written in it.
"It's a robbery case." He said, "narrated very well."
"Well thanks, that's not what I meant but I heard this news and I think you can solve it." Replied she.
"You've written it?"
"Yes?"
"The whole thing? By yourself?"
"Yes Mr Holmes but did you understand the case?"
"Will you be free tomorrow Mrs Holmes?"
"I'm free everyday".
"Would you Mind coming with me somewhere tomorrow?"
"Yes, even though I'd like to know where".
"Surprise, so tomorrow 10 o'clock in morning it is".
Mr Holmes" she called out confused as she saw him walking towards their bedroom. "Are you interested in this case? Are you gonna solve it?"
He looked and smirked, "I'll solve yours".
This confused her even more.
"Care to join this poor beast now miss?" Said he playfully. And she also replied playfully too,
"I'd be delighted, to kiss you and you'll turn into my prince."
And they went together smiling while he kissed her forehead.
Next day she dressed up as she was asked to go out for a surprise with Sherlock. She really wondered if she's to be taken to a place to see him investigating. She wouldn't mind though, to see her man and his best friend being all intelligent and beating the detective police officer.
They got into a carriage and she asked, "can I please to be told now where are we going?"
"Just when we reach there darling" smirked Holmes.
They reached a newspaper office, Mrs Holmes said while getting down holding her husband's hand "why are we here?"
"Come with me" he invited.
"Ah Mr Holmes how nice to see you" said a man there.
"Good evening Mr wood. Let me introduce you my wife."
"Hello" said she nervously.
"Mrs Holmes how nice to see you, I have to admit Mr Holmes you've got a pretty wife."
They both blushed to this.
"Indeed" said Holmes "and Mrs Holmes this is Timothy wood, the head editor of this weekly."
She gave an expression of 'i do understand'
"Mr wood, weren't you searching for a news writer?" Asked Sherlock.
"Still on it Mr Holmes."
"I'd like if you give my wife a chance".
"What?" Said she baffled.
"Not a problem, a few women just started to work here."
"Mr Holmes I can't, I don't write news". She whispered.
"Have you seen how well you written this" said showing her writing.
"You kept it ?"
"Ofcourse, Mr wood, an example of my wife's work". And handed it over to him.
"This is excellent, grammatically accurate, just a little training and she's ready". Said wood.
"That's upto you, so ? ".
"She can join from tomorrow, will that be okay Mrs Holmes?"
She was too baffled to speak but Managed to say "sure sir .... It's good".
They then went of their, they waited for a carriage when she said, "Mr Holmes thank you".
"really?" He asked.
"No I mean thanks for understanding what's good for me"
"I already did, saving you from that marriage, marrying myself." They both giggled.
"Anyway did you take the case?" She asked.
"Nothing to take I solved it".
"What? How?"
"It was the banker himself."
"No way, how did you...?"
And they went together walking towards a carriage. He helped her get in and went on explaining the case he just solved by just reading a few details of it.

Oh...I just can't believe the end has come. This is going to be dramatic, so I'm sorry for that.
I'm here since the first part and waited patiently for the upcoming ones.
From where to start. Possessive Mark? Have you completely lost your mind? That was the hottest thing EVER. I can't with this man...
So for the touching parts. I think Irene's words just hit me like a truck, to realise some things for myself too. I really felt Y/n character really close to me as I said before. So hearing Irene's word and Y/n/'s thoughts was just life changing.
The championship game. I was at the edge of my seat the whole time. The adrenaline, the passion, the cheers. Everything was just perfect. (Donghyuck I love you so much hahaha).
And the best part. Y/n saying I love you. Something so difficult(I am that kind of person too) with so much meaning. She loved Mark for what he is and nothing less. And Mark too. I really hope everyone finds a love like theirs. Full of passion without restrictions or hesitating. These few months I am experiencing a life-changing love, without the other person knowing it. But I don't know, your story made me feel that we always have to try for the ones we love even if they don't love us back the way we do. Maybe eventually they will love us back...
So thank you. I really really thank you for this story, the best I've ever read. It was not only well-written, but also honest. And that's what makes it the best story ever. The characters were like us, like our friends. We have the same fears and needs. Life is not easy. But sometimes it's just so good. Thank you, because I felt Mark close to me for a bit even just from a story(I am delusional I know haha). Thank you for keeping me company when days were rough and difficult. Your story lightened up my mood.
I'm really going to miss this story like hell. Mark is my ult bias and now that it's over I feel like I left a missing piece of my heart with this story.
Sooo I have to stop yapping because it's never going to end. Keep going with your amazing stories and I hope everything goes well for you. I'm going to be here to support you.
For one last time, thank you. With all my heart.🩷
oh my god, this message… i don’t even know where to start. thank you so much for being here, for sticking with this story from the very beginning, and for letting it mean so much to you—it truly means the world to me. your words are so heartfelt, and knowing love me back had such an impact on you makes all the hours and effort feel so incredibly worth it.
possessive mark… honestly, right?? he’s an absolute menace, and i love that you appreciated that side of him as much as i did writing it. and irene’s words—i’m so glad they resonated with you. she was always meant to be a grounding figure, someone who could give y/n (and maybe readers, too) the clarity and encouragement needed in such an emotional moment. the fact that it hit you personally makes me so emotional because that’s the kind of connection i hoped this story would bring.
the championship game!! i can’t believe how much tension and adrenaline you felt because that’s exactly what i wanted readers to experience. it was chaos, but it was their chaos, and hearing how much you loved it (and donghyuck, of course, because how could anyone not love him) means so much.
y/n finally saying “i love you”… that was such a hard-fought moment, and your understanding of how much it meant to her makes it even better. it wasn’t easy for her, but it was everything, and mark loving her so fully in return felt like the perfect balance to all the struggles they went through. i truly hope everyone finds a love like theirs too, and reading about your own experience with love, even if it feels one-sided right now, is so inspiring. i think you’re absolutely right—sometimes it’s worth trying for the ones we love, because love has the power to grow in ways we can’t always see at first.
thank you for reading, for sharing your thoughts, and for connecting with these characters so deeply. the fact that they felt like real people to you, like friends, is the highest compliment i could ever receive. and knowing that this story brought you comfort on rough days… i’m actually tearing up because that’s all i’ve ever wanted from my writing.
i’m going to miss this story too—mark, y/n, all of them—but i’m so thankful that it gave us this connection. you’ve been such a big part of this journey, and i hope you know how much your support means to me. thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here, for sharing this with me, and for all your kindness. i’ll carry your words with me always. 🩷 also never stop yapping i love your yapping and YOU

hey Irene!! ok i have two question, if you don't mind! i really like your content and i'd like to know if you plan on putting the Waterside complex for download? and i'm also curious as to how big is your mods folder, and how long does it take to load them? i'm thinking of trying out alpha CC, but i'm scared my game will crash with it. i appreciate it the answer, ty!!
Hi anon, thank you for liking my content! Wow, I've been getting some more asks lately, and answering them has been so fun, thus of course I don't mind🖤
For the first question, yes Waterside Complex will be up for download, perhaps in a few days. I've written the posts and sorted the custom contents needed already, I just can't find the "perfect" time for it to be up, so... But it will be for download soon! (can't say the same about the other complex, which I still like, but no longer think it is good enough, haha).
And for your second question, my current mods folder is almost 70GB now. Funny, because just recently I talked about it on Twitter, saying that I've been keeping that folder under 40GB for nearly a year, but ever since I started enjoying building/decorating (which is around 2 months), that 40 turned into 70 so fast, and most of them are alpha cc... Anyways, it takes around 3 minutes for the game to load for me, so I think that number is still fine for now! I must also mention that I keep my mods folder super neat and I check every new item to see if it fits for the game, as well as batch fix them and check for duplicates (and batch delete too) if needed. I believe that (1) your PC can runs those items, and (2) none of them are corrupted/outdated cc, then your game will be fine! My game still crashes from time to time though, and it's been a thing since forever because my save file is really big and full of cc items everywhere. Just don't forget to save frequently!
That's all I have to say, hope this helps you!

About Me
I've had this blog for about two years and only just realized I never like actually introduced myself.
So hi! I go by Issy or Iutb and use any/all pronouns!
I've been posting fanfiction to Ao3 for over four years, though I like to think I'm a better writer now than I was back in high school. I draw on occasion, and I've been trying lately to get into oil painting and watercolor. I like to listen to music (folk, rock, and classical) and play minecraft (I've logged 60+hours just in the last two weeks).
(my fandoms and ships under the Read More)
My Fandoms:
Avatar: The Last Airbender - This is the show that got me into writing, but I'm not as active in it anymore. Zuko is both my sweet baby girl and also my favorite punching bag.
Harry Potter - !!Obligatory Disclaimer!! I do not support JKR or any of the things she says! When I write these characters, they are all some flavor of Queer!
Special Mention: The Marauders fandom
My Hero Academia - To be honest, I got so deep into this fandom that my versions of the characters are no longer connected to canon like at all.
Supernatural - I don't write for spn, but this show has held me in a chokehold for years at this point, so it deserves a place in this list.
Marvel - I do not like any of the recent Marvel movies but I am a big fan of Spider-man and Iron Man, so I've written several things about them (but not posted bc they're just snippets).
Percy Jackson - I have never read or watched pjo, but i somehow got sucked into the fandom. I do not know how this happened.
Danny Phantom - Again, I have never watched dp. I have become obsessed with through Tumblr and fanfic though.
DC - The Batfam and general Justice League chaos. End of sentence.
Aphmau - I say this regretfully, but my elementary school obsession has come back to haunt me. This is the fandom that got me into fanfiction at the ripe old age of 9. I prefer Minecraft Diaries to Mystreet, and my pension for dramatic, high magic worldbuilding will be the death of me trying to fill the plot holes in that Irene forsaken series.
My Favourite Tropes and Ships:
Time Travel Fix-it
Emotional Hurt/Comfort
Reconciliation
Found Family
Everyone lives/nobody dies
Reaction fics
HP - Harry has a million something titles, Slytherin Harry, focus on Wizengamot and politics, anything with the goblins, Harry raised by others, Draco/Harry, Theo/Harry, Blaise/Harry, Hermione/Harry, Neville/Hannah
Marauders - Canon Divergence (you will never catch me adhering to canon), one of them stealing Harry away from the Dursleys, Black brothers angst, Black sisters angst, James/Regulus/Lily, Remus/Sirius, Remus/Severus, Barty/Evan
MHA - Vigilante AU, Quirkless Izuku, unconventional friendships, Izuku/Kirishima, Todoroki/Bakugou, Todoroki/Sero, Sero/Iida, Izuku/Monoma, Izuku/Shinsou, Uraraka/Toga, Aizawa/Mic/Shirakumo, Dabi/Hawks, Shigaraki/Natsuo
SPN - Cas lives (non-negotiable), finale does not happen, witch Sam/doesn't lose demonic powers, Dean/Cas, Sam/Eileen, Sam/Rowena
ATLA - Zuko is the avatar, zuko joins the gaang early, gaang finds out about zuko's scar, early zuko redemption (can you find the common theme here), Zuko/Sokka, Aang/Katara, Katara/Yue, Ty Lee/Mai/Azula
DC - Justice leagues meets the batfamily, batfam angst, Titans Tower AU, crossover with Danny Phantom, Marvel, or White Collar, focus on Jason or Dick, Dick/Wally, Jason/Roy, Tim/Kon/Bernard, Cass/Steph, Bruce/Selina, Bruce/Clark
Marvel - Peter's field trip to SI, Irondad, functional avengers, Loki redemption, Team Iron Man, Tony/Pepper, Tony/Loki, Peter/MJ, Peter/Ned, Peter/Harley

Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 2 - Myths and Mortals.
It's another fortnite season alright. Coming off of underground, we were greeted with mysterious teasers for the battle pass characters. I thought this was Hope again, lol. Hype at this point was HUGE. Everyone was ready to move on from Underground and people were excited to see what epic was cooking.
After properly being revealed, launch day came. Now to this day we don't have the story, but something BAD happened on Epic's side. All of the programmers and engineers were working for hours on end, trying to get the servers up. The servers wouldn't come up until the evening.
Regardless, the season dropped. This one is obviously themed around Greek mythology. Artemis, Aphrodite, Medusa, Cerberus, Hades, Poseidon and Zeus all make an appearance in the battle pass. We’ve seen interpretations of these figures hundreds of times throughout the years, but the idea of Fortnite of all games taking it on is quite the interesting thing to think about. You think anybody’s thought “what do you think fortnite Zeus looks like?”
The story is still there. Zeus wants to wipe out all of humanity and the other gods think he's doing too much. The looper and Hope work with the other gods to get him to cut it out. Speaking of. Hope. For the entirety of chapter 4, characters were introduced and quickly discarded as the next season came. Strangely, that did not happen with Hope and her in specific. This season is the point where everyone learned that epic is finally doing something with their characters, starting with her. Genuine shock seeing her appear in the season's CG.
The way these lot are characterized is actually pretty fun. Cerberus is still Hades’s brutal and loyal guard dog, but he has a very playful side to him. Like a... dog. Hades is actually pretty chill. References to what Aphrodite is more known for are replaced with a family friendly “god of the squad”. She also has a phone she likes to take selfies with a lot. It's a pretty funny take on her.
Also, epic for some reason made short really well made animations of some of the BP skins. They were released on a week by week basis, and nobody knows why they made them, but it was appreciated. The season was teased the day before with this awesome trailer that EXPLODED online.
Also, Korra is here! This one was a genuine surprise. I remember my jaw dropping when i saw her on the BP trailer for the first time. I'm a huge fan of TLOK. I've rewatched it in it's entirety 7 times now. One thing i really liked about her inclusion was the fact that they brought back Irene Koh specifically to do the art for both of her loading screens. There are fans in that studio.
She brought along the series's staple bending abilities, alongside a good chunk of the Gaang. As weird as it was to see Aang of all people with a shotgun, i got used to it quickly. Shame that Sokka missed out on the fun. Maybe he'll bring Suki along next time.
Each bending ability was designed as to how they are written and viewed in the show. With waterbending, you could fire off icicles and heal yourself in water, firebending was purely fast & offensive, and earth bending could be used to both defend yourself, and fire off a slow but powerful attack. Airbending couldn't be used to harm anyone. it was purely used for mobility.
Speaking of mobility, we’ve dropped the grapple blades and we’ve moved onto the wings of icarus. It’s an item that allows you to straight up fly. It was cool for like the first day, but then I stopped using it after I got shot down from the sky. Turns out your hitbox is doubled if not tripled using it. A week into the season, it was considered a suicide button. A throwing item. the chains of hades also appeared. It was a brutal melee item.
This is the first Fortnite season that i wasn't too crazy about. I wasn't too big on the theme, or any of the battle pass skins. But i still think they did a good job. I'm looking forwards to what comes next.

WIP Questionnaire
Tagged by @fenatics, thanks!
I'll do this for Pulse Saga, which is technically sort of finished? But oh well who cares.
What's the first part of your wip you created?
Pulse Saga had a definitive starting point when I devised the central twist that takes place at the end. Everything else about the story grew around that, from the magic system, to the other characters and the world itself.
If your story was a TV show, what would the theme song/intro be?
Hmmmm a tough one, to be sure. I've matched songs to certain scenes or concepts, but not an OP...
What are your favorite characters that you made? Why?
Probably Irene, the mew friend of the main character, Eduardo. I put a lot of my own traits onto her and I find her desire to break out of the confines of her societal role to be compelling. Also, the main villain, Wormwood, who's a fun character to write- an arrogant bastard who enjoys messing with people and knows just how strong he is.
What other pieces of media do you think your fan base would share?
Pulse Saga takes inspiration from 90s JRPGs, so I'd hope that fans of those might find it appealing. Probably would have fans for anyone who likes more character-heavy sci-fi and fantasy action anime, such as Blue Exorcist.
What has been your biggest struggle with your wip?
Cutting is always really difficult, because you naturally want to keep everything and sometimes you have to cut something that's really near and dear to your heart... but alas. I also had to come to the realization that I basically had to cut the book in half at one point, because it was too damn long.
Are there any animals in your story? Talk about them!
Uh, animals? I guess. Farm animals and random wildlife. It's not really a huge part of the story.
How do your characters get around?
On foot or in armored personnel carriers. One character can fly!
What part of your wip are you working on right now?
It's actually done! But now I'm to the point where I have to query and that... ugh, what a nightmare that is.
What aspects (tropes, maybe?) will you think draw audience in?
The setting: Post-apocalyptic, but more of a "green apocalypse", where nature has filled in to fill the void left by humanity's near destruction. Biomechanical killing machines roam the forests and anyone who remains outside of walls for too long is liable to fall prey to a curse that drives you mad.
The main character's conflict: Eduardo has to realize that the world he grew up in is far from the perfect world he had thought. He has to question what his authority figures have told him and is plagued by uncertainty. He's the kind of guy who is never content with just what's on the surface and that takes its toll on him.
The action: I think that my action scenes are pretty well written (at least my critique partners and beta readers said so!) Should be fun for anyone who likes reading about magical powers and special talents.
@supreme-leader-stoat @dasha-aibo @2urban2fantasy @supersoftly @edgar-allan-possum
have fun!
