oh jesus, i had to open my events tags tracker for this one and even then, i'm so 100% sure i forgot many amazing moments, but stay with me (needless to say that this is a long one right? i'm sorry, it's a very long one).

i'll start with first's favorite moment of 2024, if you'll let me actually. he said on his last event of 2024 [ #MelaxFirst ] that every moment was special, but especially the ones he was with khaotung, because those moments gave him courage to explore and discover himself more which felt amazing. i have no words for this actually, just let all of this sink for a moment. and it's not even about shipping or being dululu or anything. i'm talking about the trust and care they have for each other and you can see it from miles, i love love this moment.

but now we go back to the beginning of the year, otherwise i'll completely lose track of my thoughts. it feels like it happened a hundred years ago, but you guys, the event where khaotung was nominated for and they separated him not only from first but also earthmix was their first event of 2024 [ FirstKhaotung x 28thATA ]. and let me tell you anon, since you're a baby som, we have this running joke that fk can't be separated, and especially during events, they get even more attached, but since they split the party and left khaotung alone, during the whole ceremony, you'd see first (who was sitting in the first row) looking back at the direction where khaotung was all the time. they were on their phones the whole night and every time he could, khaotung would slip towards his little group. he didn't win, but first wrote, "it's okay, let's win many awards together, don't be sad" and khaotung replied saying that he wasn't the first one to cry.

their first fanmeeting in macau [ #FirstKhaotung1stFMinMacau ]. there's a moment when khaotung talks about how he calls first to talk about his worries and cries to him, and first adds that they are each other's best supporters and safe space for each other. these past few months, there are many people who have been trying to discredit their relationship by saying they are in their divorce era (just because they don't public post their interactions a lot like other artists do) which is insane to me, because these two are like family to each other, and they care deeply about what the other thinks and they are each others' support system. people have been spoiled by joong always giving us content that they forgot that them not posting much is their default.

their trip to rome was very memorable, and very special. it gave us a glimpse into the emfk polycule and i would be dishonest of me not to mention it here. it has some of the best pictures and interactions we've had the pleasure of seeing (look up the tag for their fm at #FirstKhaotung1stFMinRome because a lot of content is in there).

both lol fanfest days gave us amazing content [ FK x LOL2024Day1 FK x LOL2024Day2 ], from the songs they've performed to the words they've said to each other, and let's never forget let's try pirate!version that will be so so difficult to top this year, i'm so serious (day 2 left me unwell for days).

i gotta add emfk being menaces together during the wolverine screening too [ #SFxEMFKxDeadpoolWolverine ], bc listen, it was close to mix's birthday and khaotung gave the the idea to buy him a cake and in the end the one who had to order it was first, and first just picked the flavors he likes instead of catering to mix's taste while earth just observed the three cats being mischievous and laughing their asses off. these four are my everything.

whatever was happening during the international novel festival [ #งานมหกรรมนิยายนานาชาติ2024xFK ] we need it back. they were flirting left and right, first was shooting cupid arrows at khaotung, khaotung was whining bc a fan flirted with him and first went "why are you flirting with my boyfriend? x2", so sweet, so nice.

i know i talk about their birthday events constantly, but pls understand, they mean everything to me. for first's [ #FirstUniverseBDParty2024 ], he was so happy talking through his career and fans and he was crying but the moment khaotung showed up with the cake, boy smiled a smile that i don't even have words. and when khaotung left the stage saying he wanted first to have more time alone with his fans, first went "did you come just for that [bringing the cake]? you can stay longer" and during the messages too, khaotung said "stay with me nanana" like ray and first was holding back tears. first makes my heart really happy, he's such a sweet dude.

and during khaotung's birthday party [ #Khaotung26thBDParty ], we always have the pleasure of having khaotung's mom and sister in these, and let me tell you, she loves first like he's her own son. i think it was fanday 2023 when khaotung's mom attended and khaotung said she came to see first. but anyway!!! khaotung's birthday party. we were lucky enough that mix was also in the birthday event, bc he teamed up with the mc to tease them, and they teased poor first so much, because he was blushing a lot [ 1 2 ]. mix even wished fk to have each other forever which you know, coming from your married friend, means a lot in my eyes. this whole event makes me smile like a mad woman, pls check the tag and enjoy.

the busan saga of course [ ACAGOTT2024 x KHAOTUNG ], that i've talked about here.

thailand headlines person of the year awards [ FIRST KHAOTUNG x TLHL 2024 ] was also iconic, not only because they won an award together (it's a popularity award, and they won the most beloved duo) and khaotung had promised first they'd get an award and go up the stage together, but their vibes were just so nice that day. they were wearing matching lapel flowers with p'tha too which was hilarious to me (and also gave me firstkhao and milklove in the same frame).

the innisfree event [ #INNISFREExFirstKhaotung2024 ] and this one will be short, because despite having many many sweet moments, the one where first asks khaotung is he's good at pleading still lives in my heart.

honorable mentions:

the oned presscon with the cast of only friends was also very nice and it was purely because they were giving us firstkhao overflowing with husbands energy. and the pictures for this one were also so pretty [ oneDoriginalPressCon x FK ].

their valentine's day event was also pretty great [ #พาเฟิร์สข้าวตังมาเดอะมอลล์ ]. first was using khaotung's necklace here, and valentine day events are always nice for flirting.

their chongqing fanmeets [ #First1stFSinChongqing #Khaotung1stFSinChongqing ] that happened in different days and they couldn't even interact bc china has terms of service and gmm is very strict about it, but they have us this:

Would you be down to draw one of your favorite ships from one of the AU's you've created? 👀

Having to pick one was tough and I struggled to debate on which ships even were my favorites from each au. So I just turned this into a answer for each au. Cause I wanna draw em all.

I also ran out of motivation to re-draw the sketchs since it wasn't letting me size the canvas up and it was smaller than I anticipated so I tried to use my Snip tool to make it not Tiny.

Pretty Pill's Au: Julex. -Alex and Julius are always there for each other even though Alex has to leave by the beginning of the au. -(Moved from one asylum to another since their methods of 'curing him' weren't 'working')

Missing Alice: Tied between Julex and Osix. - Oswald kinda has Felix hostage through the whole thing but it slowly turns into them just hanging out and Felix being weirdly helpful. - Felix also get's to learn about Oswalds motivations and even his past which exposes Felix to a lot of realizations.

-Julius is legit possessing Alex and chose to save his soul before it could pass on, Alex may be in a dolls body, but the two work on escaping together and Alex values Julius's efforts to save him. Especially when he chooses Alex over himself in the story. (His crush is cute ok lemme have this.)

Alex Shot Cupid: ..... You knew it was going to be Julex right. It'd be silly if not lmao.

Field King: Okay.... so. Weirdly enough Osix is my favorite Ship out of this au. Don't get me wrong I still looooooovvveee Bendystraw for this au.

But they both were tortured by sovereigns and were saved by a Sovereign, had to slowly adjust to the situations thrown at them and even had issues trusting each other. Only to find they both share a lot in common.

And Felix is very cute when taking care of Oswald's remaining 35 kids.

The bois need comfort and why not from someone who understands their pain.

4 Dumbasses living together: Bendystraw

This was my first Bendystraw au and I've seriously clung to this thing for 5 years and you'll have to tear it from my cold dead hands.

It was a close call with the Osix in the story, but the only reason Osix didn't win was due to the fact that Felix doesn't really listen to Oswald through out the original story of the au.

It's changed a bit now, but even with the new additions. Felix and Oswald's souls are Deteriorating through out the whole story which drives the 2 pretty crazy and twists their love into something almost evil

if it weren't for the small moments where Felix and Oswald break through the warped soul connection and connect even if for 5 seconds they'd lose a lot more points.

The Sun Crashed : Another Tie. (Catnap x Dogday) & (Alastor x Simon)

I would have added Picky Piggy X Maggie Marco....

But then I'd go on and on about all of the ships I put into the au and all of them would be listed cause I love them all almost equally but the Sun Siblings relationships beat out the rest cause I like the argumentitive Simon and Alastor moments and just the cute Dogday and Catnap ones.

My Takes on the Miraculous MC Ships because Why Not

More specifically the big ones. Not stuff like Marirose or Marikim.

Adrienette/The Love Square as a whole: I've already done a post on each facet of the Love Square but I'm adding on this: I think no matter which way you slice it, Adrienette is a doomed relationship and the best case scenario is for them to break up asap. They're made for eachother in that if they get married the it will unleash the Chaos Heart and consequently create the Void to end all realities.

Alyanette: Had an incredible amount of potential back in season 1! Based on Dark Cupid I'm pretty sure Alya was crushing on Marinette, and I could see it working out. The two match eachother's freaks. Alya is literally the Lois Lane to Marinette's Superman, and it could be great.

Adrino: For whatever reason I can't see it. I can see both Adrien and Nino dating men, but I guess my brain's hooked on the two being just friends.

Ninette: I can see this, however. I'm not sure if Marinette and Nino being childhood friends is something the fandom made up or canon but I can see it and adore it. I love a good childhood friend romance.

Chlodrien: Chloe's a lesbian dating Sabrina, even if she doesn't know it yet.

Chloenette: Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Chloe's targeting of Marinette was a crush she has yet to compartmentalize. I doubt it would happen, though.

Liladrien: Nah, Adrien's been through enough.

Lilanette: This seems completely impossible, but I have a specific idea for it that's super-toxic yuri. Lila somehow manages to succeed in isolating Marinette from her friends, and then shifts gears to fuck with Marinette's psyche by intentionally getting exposed and "bonding" with Marinette, isolating her from her classmates even more. I feel like this will inevitably end in Marinette dying, though.

Lukanette: Oh baby we've reached the romantic rivals! Two of my favorite characters. They're so cool! But yeah. Lukanette. Marinette hooks up with someone she isn't obsessed with to a stalkerish degree. He'd act as a grounding anchor to her, too. Marinette could be anxiety spiraling and Luka would just play a few chords to set her back in the real world. He's dreamy, he's kindhearted, he's understanding, he's patient, he plays guitar, he dances, he has a sense of humor, he's got daddy issues, you get Juleka as a sister-in-law, what's not to love? That he ain't in a perfume ad? That he didn't hand you an umbrella when it was raining? Marinette fumbled the perfect boy. What the fuck.

Adrigami: Kagami, my beloved. Adrigami too, my beloved. I'm not at Tomoe levels of hyping up this ship, but it's still great. The difference between Kagami and Marinette, Lila, and Chloe is that Kagami loves Adrien for who he is. She doesn't love Adrien as a popular model or status symbol, but as a human being. The "get to know Adrien" scene in the breakup episode was evidence of it. Yes, she was a little forceful but I don't think Adrien Agreste or Chat Noir are who Adrien really is. If Adrien figured out who he truly is, he'd trans her gender. And Kagami would be there for her. She's bi, she's happy to see the true Adrien, it would be yuri. Now if Adrien could just realize Kagami's has all the girlbossing skills of Ladybug but actually loves him, grumblegrumble.

Zoenette: Unfortunately doesn't have much going for me. I think the issue is that I still don't feel like I know Zoe like I know the other characters. It always feels like not even she knows her identity. I know she likes acting and hid her personality from others, but that's about it. Maybe it would be like Marinette helping Zoe figure out her identity but Marinette already has enough on her plate.

Felinette: I can't see this either aside from an alternate timeline where Felix gets the black cat instead of Adrien. And even then it would be unhealthy as hell based on what we've seen of Felix. The Donatello Versus of Miraculous.

Lukadrien: Oh baby we are so fucking back Ahem. Out of all the big MC ships, Lukadrien's definitely my favorite. I used to be a staunch supporter of Lukanette and Adrigami primarily, but the more I thought about it, the more I gravitated towards the gay variants. It came to me when I was analyzing Luka's character and adding depth where it might not be there and I ended up coming to the conclusion that Luka and Adrien have a lot in common to bond over. They're both kindhearted, but also depressed at least partly from their deadbeat dad. With the two of them dating, they both get the companionship they desperately need. Plus Adrien can be part of Kitty Section as he should! And there's parallels to Julerose, the best ship in Miraculous! Not to mention when Adrien comes out as trans Luka will definitely be there for her! Luka uses any pronouns. When you have the psychic ability to hear people's inner songs, gender doesn't matter much. This too, is yuri.

Marigami: The counterpart to Lukadrien, and I'll admit I didn't see it at first. I know Kagami and Marinette have feelings for eachother, even if Mari doesn't realize it, but what makes it so peak, Bethany? It dawned on me eventually that Marigami is like Alyanette but I like it even more. Kagami matches Marinette's freak, as well as an anchor for Marinette's anxiety, plus I feel Kagami would push Marinette to be better than Alya does. I love Alya but she can be an enabler for Marinette's bad actions at points.

Lukadrienette: We've reached the polycules, ladies, gentlemen, and the Third Party. And it's amazing. Who knew all you had to do to get me into canon Adrienette is throw someone else in there? Luka anchor's Marinette's anxiety and cools her before she can do anything reckless, as well as being there for Adrien, and he gets two people that love him in return! My only concern is what happens to Kagami? Who will she find love with?

Adrigaminette: The foil to Adrigaminette. All three of them are in love with eachother (well, if Adrien discovers Marinette is Ladybug or we're in the reversal or something.) Kagami and Adrien gain companionship while Marinette gets someone to anchor and better her. Although like with Lukadrienette, I have to wonder what Luka's doing. I came to the conclusion that he's severely depressed, does he have someone of his own? Or at least a good friend group?

Lukadrigaminette: And finally, the big one. All four of them are here. It's got the benefits of Lukadrienette and Adrigaminette together. Plus, even if Luka or Kagami alone can't prevent Adrien and Marinette from getting toxic and causing the apocalypse, maybe they can do it together! It's my favorite out of all these ships! The only issue I have is that I can't really see the Lukagami portion working out, but who knows? Maybe they can charm eachother as well.

Now one thing that you'll find with my blog is I post a lot of Ruby x Friede, and that is because I am a Friede yumeshipper ^-^ Ruby is an oc that is really just a poorly disguised self insert lol

I've been a Friede yume since April 3rd 2024, and I am (unfortunately) a selective sharing yume qwq. Understand that if you are also a Friede yume or you have an oc x Friede ship I think you are really cool and I'm so happy Friede also brings you joy! However, I simply have a personal struggle with seeing other people with Friede due to how important he is to me, all I ask when interacting with me you are respectful! (Dont do stuff like calling him your husband on my posts, bringing up your own ship with friede on my posts, or put me down for my relationship with friede.) I am however fine with canon x canon ships with Friede, infact I'm very fond of most of them(except amethio x friede. Hate that ship with a passion)! Especially Murdock/Orla x Friede!

Friede means a lot to me, he brought me immense comfort during a rough time where i was going though a lot of trauma, and he makes me feel safe, I genuinely rely on him in a lot of ways, if it wasn't for him I might not have made it through everything. The reasons I became so attached to him is why it's hard for me to share, I genuinely don't feel upset and jealous over other people selfshipping with any of my other favorite characters, but for Friede I do and it's because to me Friede is more than just my favorite character<3

the answer is yes, but the answer is also that i read a LOT of wips, and some of my recs will be bigger fics you may have already read, or have jegulus as another main ship which idk if you're into or not but here!!

lose yourself by daiver - holy SHIT this fic was so good. remus gets brainwashed into being a death eater and it is sooooo so so angsty and wonderful. it had so many moments that had my heart RACING

the horcrux hunt by lostmy_keys - this is one of my favorite fics of all time. regulus (reluctantly) teams up with remus to hunt horcruxes. it is regulus centric but also remus, MOSTLY platonic moonwater (which if u like burning and buried i assume u like) but they are quite flirty....which may not be your cup of tea, but as someone who has had a flirty close platonic friendship or two i LOVED. slowburn ANGSTY wolfstar. honestly, i might reread this one now that i've been talking about it. so fucking good.

the cadence of part time poets by motswolo- if you haven't read this, you should. its amazing. if you like slow burn wolfstar, plenty of angst, mentally ill remus lupin, and the best oc's i have ever seen in a fic, this is for you. it is a band au, but mostly it is a boarding school preparing to be in a band au and a freshly starting out band au. extremely long, but extremely worth it.

for the love of ducks by viwrites - UGH anything vi writes i love, but this is a wolfstar sickfic that just sort of scoops up your heart into warm hands and holds it. like, don't get me wrong, it's got angst--but in a comforting way? i love this fic. so fucking much.

saccharine by moonymoment - sirius is a ghost in an apartment remus moves into. i was smiling through this whole fic except for when i was crying.

'tis the damn season by moonymoment - wolfstar fake relationship christmas fic - need i say more?

retrial by pheonixgal - remus hosts a true crime podcast and focuses on sirius's case, which is a concept i LOVE.

god i could keep going for a WHILE but I'll move on

WIPs:

godlight by Badhairred - this is my fave wip at the moment. it has SUPER regular updates. it's jegulus and wolfstar, and i LIVE for the wolfstar in this fic. their relationship, the buildup, the backstory, UGH. jegulus is fantastic too in this fic, obvi, but since you're asking abt wolfstar...i love them in this fic.

sirius black's second chance by platypus_and_pen - as you might guess from the title this is a bring back black fic in which he goes back in time to his hogwarts days after going through the veil, and he gets to reconnect with not only himself, but his friends, and also HOPEFULLY right some wrongs.

the middle path of moonlight by asheseverafter - this fic is so long, so well written, and has weekly updates. i will warn you that they are STILL quite young (i think 14/15 right now? i'm not entirely sure) as the author is taking their time with each year (Which i love) but the relationship between sirius and remus (while not explicitly shown, builds into fade to black or is vague) is quite.......advanced. i personally, as a 26 year old adult, have to skip over that stuff just for my own comfort, and there is still a fair bit of overtly sexual flirting/jokes which is kind of impossible to skip over so if that isn't something you'll be comfy with then that's totally fair, BUT. that being said, the writing in this fic is absolutely gorgeous, i get jealous every time i read it. and the moonwater friendship is AMAZING and the black brothers/black family dynamics are some of the best i've ever seen and how in love and dedicated wolfstar are the entire time is very sweet.

cupid's chokehold by lollipopluna - also mainly jegulus and also having a good amount of wolfstar, but i had to recommend because it is just. so. good. it is violent and dirty and everyone is a little rough around the edges (putting it lightly) but no one moreso than reg and remus. there hasn't been too terribly much ACTUAL wolfstar bc of the angst and the slow burn aspect but i am so so excited to see where they go, and where jegulus goes, and where platonic (not even. more like reluctant enemies former friends?? I guess??) moonwater goes. the DRAMA. the INTRIGUE. the INTENSITY. its great.

AND last but not least, on a pillow of blue bonnets by kalegreeneyes (me (: ) - sirius is famous and he's spinning out so james and pete and regulus are like GET OUT OF HERE and they ship him off to remus's ranch in montana where lily and marlene live and work too!! and barty and evan are ranch hands! and it's a slow burn! and there are horses! and cowboy remus wielding an axe! the downside is that i haven't updated it in a really long time and the new chapter is slow going ha ha ha ha ha BUT it isn't abandoned and i have the whole fic loosely planned out!!!

when you first joined the whitebeard pirates, you knew from stories what to expect. you prepared yourself to be pushed around as the runt of the litter or suffer through a humiliating ‘initiation.’ what you weren’t expecting was the kindness and love they showed you. your fellow pirates greeted you as an equal despite your lack of experience, gladly showing you the ropes.

thatch taught you how to cook, sharing family recipes and the favorite meals of each member. marco showed you the proper way to clean a wound, having you memorize the steps before going on to the next topic. jozu coached you on correct punch formation, contorting your body in uncomfortable ways to reach optimal punch velocity, though you got more bruises than knowledge from those lessons.

however, your favorite lesson by far was weapons training. firearms, to be exact. not because you were particularly interested in guns, no, you hated them. they were your favorite because they allowed you to spend one-on-one time with izou.

you’d wake up bright and early to finish your chores, swabbing the deck, doing laundry, sorting through marco’s supplies, and taking inventory for thatch. and finally, when you completed everything, you’d run up to izou, waiting for his acknowledgment. he’d always turn to you and give a curt nod, causing the butterflies that had been waiting all day to emerge, fluttering about in your stomach.

to say you had a crush on izou was the understatement of the century. whenever you saw him, your heart soared to unimaginable heights, piercing the clouds until it hit the sun, burning alongside the star with passion. there was no way to pick a favorite part of the man, but you had a list. the strands that escaped his hair tie and framed his face, the lipstick he carefully applied every morning, or the mix of his perfume and body wash that fused to create a flowery-citrus scent that lingered around him.

you could write enough things about izou to fill a short novel, but you’d never dare write them down on paper lest another crewmate finds it. while the crew was tight-knit, you knew they could be ruthless snitches, specifically marco and thatch. those two were eager to get in on any gossip they could, like reporters snooping around for the next juicy scoop. you had no intention of ever letting them know your true feelings.

the moby dick had just docked on an island, allowing the crew to make light purchases and restock any necessary supplies. you, however, were forced to serve thatch in his kitchen, grabbing whatever spice or vegetable he barked at you. only tuning into every third word he screamed, you instead thought about the gun practice you’d be having with izou tonight.

“hey hey hey!” thatch shouted, “i said three cloves of garlic, not three bulbs! are you trying to poison everyone on board!” 

you jumped, dropping the garlic onto the counter, narrowly missing the pot where thatch’s masterpiece was cooking. “sorry! i got lost in my thoughts, but I’ll be more careful, i swear!”

thatch looked at you incredulously, determining whether or not you would be a further nuisance to his culinary craft. “and what was so important that caused you to forget what a clove was?”

“well, i was…” you froze in your tracks, desperately thinking of a clever lie. you couldn’t tell thatch just anything. he’d see through you in an instant.

“...i was so hungry that i couldn’t think straight! tonight is pizza night, after all. i just couldn’t get it out of my head.”

“well, we’re not making pizza right now, so throw that pie out of your noggin and start dreaming about soup!” thatch yelled back.

internally you let out a sigh of relief. everyone on the ship eagerly anticipated pizza night, so it wasn’t too outlandish to suggest you might be excited.

“my my, is teach in here? all this talk about pies…” 

you jerked your head towards the door, looking at the new voice. but you knew who it was, even without turning your head. how could you not? that sweet dulcet voice plagued your dreams every night, not that you opposed its intrusion.

“you think i’d let that fool in my kitchen? he’d eat everything in here!” thatch shot back.

izou gave a hearty laugh before turning to you. “are we still on for practice tonight? you might miss out on pizza if we go.”

there was a lump in your throat, connecting down to your heart, resounding in your ears. all you could do was pitifully nod at the question, doing your best to give a reassuring smile.

he gave you one in kind, then turned and walked out the door, leaving you and thatch alone.

thatch slowly turned his head, eyeing you suspiciously. “...i thought you couldn’t get pizza night out of your head. you’re telling me you’d sacrifice one of my north blue-famous pies to shoot guns?”

you didn’t give thatch an answer. instead, you sprinted out of the kitchen, hearing him shouting after you. you knew he couldn’t give chase, not with his soup still cooking on the stove.

upon reaching the ship deck, you crashed by the railings, taking deep breaths. while desperately gasping for air, you felt a hand rest on your shoulder, seeing izou standing above you with a genial smile.

“done with the chef so soon? i know thatch can be pretty demanding, but this is only the second time i’ve seen someone get chased out.”

you quickly brushed your clothes, standing up. “i wasn’t chased out! i was just so excited for practice that he let me leave early!”

izou smirked at your hasty response. “well, if you’re that stoked, perhaps we should leave now?”

nodding eagerly, you followed closely behind as he left the ship, searching for a spot on the island to begin practice. he led you to a small clearing, placing a few bottles on various rocks and high points.

“now, remember what i’ve taught you. aim just a smidge above the target, not directly at it.”

you carefully pointed the pistol at one of the bottles, taking a deep breath and preparing yourself to fire.

“your stance is off,” he spoke suddenly, “feet apart, and your hand is too shaky.” izou stepped behind you, pressing his foot between yours, forcing them apart. he laid his hand on top of yours, steadying and straightening your posture.

“deep breaths now; calm yourself.” how could he ask something so unreasonable after doing something like that!? every nerve in your body worked overtime to calm down from his actions, demanding you flee immediately to stop your body from imploding. 

however, you refused to let your body ruin this opportunity of one-sided intimacy. taking a deep breath, you held the pistol up, aiming at the bottle, pulling the trigger, and letting the bullet fly.

much to your dismay, it didn’t hit the target, only scraping the rock it was sitting on. you angrily threw the gun to the ground, stomping toward the bottle and kicking it, letting out a long frustrated groan. izou reached a hand out to console you, but you stopped him.

“i hate guns!” you shouted. “i don’t like shooting them, and they’re insufferable to use!” you continued your impassioned rant, much to the shock of izou, shouting for the next couple of minutes about your distaste for firearms.

once you finished and were entirely out of breath, izou chimed in.

“then why shoot with me so often? it’s not mandatory, you know,” he said wryly.

“because of you!” you yelled back.

“i don’t force—”

“i come because I want to shoot with you! to spend time with you, because i like being with you! i like hanging out with you, listening to your bad jokes, and when you offer to do my makeup, all of it! i like you a lot, so i’ll hang around you, even if it means i have to shoot dumb guns.”

izou just stared at you, eyes wide at your heartfelt assertion. after realizing the weight of your words, you felt your entire body heat up with embarrassment and shame.

“n-not that i think guns are dumb! i just don’t like them personally! they’re very pretty, especially the ones that—”

“you…like me?”

his words barely registered in your ears as your hammering heart overpowered any outside noise. 

“well, i mean, yes— but if you don’t feel the same, we can pretend this never happened!”

silence permeated the air as you stared at each other, letting your proclamation sink in. embarrassment didn’t begin to describe your feelings, and you felt sick to your stomach.

disheartened by his lack of words and wide-eyed stare, you turned around and began walking toward the ship. it’s alright if izou couldn’t pretend, you already planned on doing your best to erase this interaction from your memory.

before you could return, you felt a tug on your hand. izou stood behind you, grasping your hand tightly and pulling you close. his expression was completely different, now sporting a determined look, eyebrows knit tightly together as he spoke.

“your declaration of love was inspiring, though i’d keep your comments on firearms to yourself, ” he shifted onto one knee, kneeling before you. “i apologize for my lackluster reaction, and i ask for your forgiveness, as you…caught me off guard. i would be honored to share my heart with you, now and forever.”

this time it was your turn to stare stupidly. you had prepared to never speak to izou again, to stomp to the boat and cry your eyes out, lamenting your big mouth. but for izou to declare that he returned your sentiments? if it weren’t for his tight grip on your hand, you’d pinch yourself to check if you were dreaming.

“...you really mean it?” you whispered, praying he was being truthful.

he stared into your eyes, unblinking. “if i am a liar, may i be struck down.”

tears of joy gently pricked your eyes as you squeezed his hands in response, beaming down at the gunslinger. izou stood, offering you his arm, which you gladly took. the two of you walked side-by-side, preparing for the cheers and jeers of your fellow pirates as you boarded the moby dick. 

a caramel pompadour peeked out from a nearby shrub, watching as you and izou walked away from the clearing.

“well, there goes 1,000 beri…you win, marco!” thatch groaned, tossing the money into the trees above.

from within the trees, a blonde man caught the sack of cash. “izou would’ve never confessed first; you know how proper he is!” marco cackled, counting his newly earned capital.

thatch sighed. “you know, you might be right,” he said, crossing his arms. “but i think we have those shooting lessons to thank. the straw that broke the samurai’s back!” thatch let out a boisterous laugh, only to be knocked over by marco.

“shaddup! they’re still close by, and i’m not going to be the one explaining why we were creeping.” marco hissed.

the doctor swiftly grabbed thatch with his talons, flying away from the island and towards the ship, all while the chef hung on for dear life. he knew he had to be fast, as he planned to be the first to congratulate you two on your budding romance.

“did you hear that?” you whispered, turning around to the fluttering bushes. izou  spun you back around, giving you a reassuring smile.

“i’m sure it was nothing, just some lousy birds, that’s all.” he chuckled, giving a quick glance towards the greenery.

izou pulled you closer, stretching his arm around your shoulder, giving you an extra layer of safety. it was something you’d dreamed of for far too long, but now you knew he’d always be by your side, no matter the trials you faced. you smiled at the thought, leaning against your newfound lover as you anticipated the new chapter of your life.

🐞Miraculous First Watch🐞

Hello! I decided to watch Miraculous Ladybug for the very first time, and to record my thoughts as I go along. I’m going in chronological order, 5 episodes a time. Let’s go!

Origins Parts 1&2:

I think this is a really good opener/start to the story! It sets up pretty much all the dynamics we’ll see in the early seasons, along with the basic premise of the show. I like seeing Adrien being more proactive something we won’t often see later on, and Marinette’s decision to stay as Ladybug because of Alya is very nice! The umbrella scene is still iconic too.

Bubbler:

It’s a cute episode! I like seeing Nino and Adrien’s relationship, and how much Nino cares for him. I also like how the show gives plausible deniability for Gabriel being Hawkmoth. I’m shocked how separated the two figures are currently! The ending for the present is kinda iffy though, in the grand scheme of ML. Letting Adrien believe in a lie because it makes him feel better…hm…

Lady WiFi:

More Alya! Yay! I love Alyla so much, especially with her proactive attitude in contrast to Marinette’s passiveness. I can already see Alyla’s flaws peeking through, with how hastily she assumes Chloe is Ladybug. I hope it’ll be touched on more in show, it’s very interesting. Definitely something to keep note of when writing her!

Chloe does her part to increase conflict, but she doesn’t seem as extra as later seasons. She’s an annoyance and a bully, but not evil or flanderized. Last note, but I like how the first two Akumas (chronologically, and after they become heroes) are their civilian friends! It’s very interesting since they’ll be holders in the future

Dark Cupid:

Is it a bad sign that I’m already kinda annoyed at the “will they won’t they?” Marinette acts very skittish about confessing her feelings, Adrien tries confessing to Ladybug. We know they won't do it, for a long time, so the stakes are not there for me. On reflection, Kim is probably my least favorite out of the class, so I don’t really feel that bad for him in this episode. The kiss between Ladybug and Chat Noir was…something. I liked the ladybug appearing on the letter though! That was cute!

Stormy Weather:

The actual first episode of the series! And it’s still a very solid start. I’m honestly surprised how washed Aurore was in the competition; it was like SUPER BAD WOW-

I love Stormy Weather’s design (her and Lady Wifi are my favs right now) and her power set. She makes for an actually challenging akuma for Ladybug and Chat Noir! I like seeing Alya being good with kids, and her dynamic with Marinette. I don’t like Manon at all.

Last note, but I’m surprised that Aurore doesn’t apologize to Mirelle? Or that we don’t get anything else from her? Do people ship those two or am I misremembering? I wish we saw more from Mirelle, her design is so cute! There’s a reason why she won, and I wanna know why!

Random idea I've somehow never stumbled across on Tumblr (If somebody already did this please let me know, I wanna see) but Hazbin Hotel in Romantic Killer. Just with the fact that Alastor gets shipped with, uh... everybody.

If you don't know the plot of the series, basically, Riri, a nonbinary yellow potato Cupid who is trying to get their big, juicy paycheck, just fucking spawns in chocolate and video game-obsessed cat-lover Anzu's house to turn her life into a real-life dating sim and forcing her to play by taking her three favorite things from her, since... I forgot the reason why that was Riri's job lol. Anzu vows to, instead of actually falling in love with any of the quote-unquote 'hot guys' that are now surrounding her, beat the game and get her things back without falling in love. Along the way, she ends up befriending all of them and also getting Riri to fall for her stubborn ass by complete accident lol.

It's so perfect for Alastor.

(Victim) Anzu Hoshino - Alastor. C'mon, it's perfect. We'll say the three things Alastor's obsessed with are old-timey radios, the deer that live outside his house, and his mom's cooking. The deer all scatter, the radios just vanish, and his mom goes on vacation.

(BFF) Saki Takamine - Rosie!

(Surprise Love interest) Riri - Charlie. Bundle of overenthusiastic, hyperactive, redemption love-obsessed and slightly embarrassing chaos that also sometimes is a little sneaky + willing to do pretty much anything for the people they care about = Charlie.

(Love interest #1) Tsukasa Kazuki - Angel Dust. The personality doesn't reaaally fit, but I was thinking more about the setup + main story arc around this guy. Popular boy that doesn't fully like the attention? Yeah, Angel Dust. (I'm sorry, Angel)

(I fucking hate her, she's 100% worse than Val in some areas ->) Yukana Kishi - Valentino.

(The loyal friend) Makoto Oda - Cherri Bomb. No clue why, I just wanna say Cherri Bomb. (Probably because she was the only friend of Angel Dust prior to the series that I know of)

(Easy mode/Love interest #best) Junta Hayami - Vox. (Spoiler, they're both my favorite choices lol). Childhood best friend that had a crush on the MC from a young age and basically changed themselves a lot to be their dream person and is also just over all a mess that matches the interests and fears of the MC pretty well. Yeah. Vox.

(Love interest #3) Hijiri Koganei - Lucifer. I'm getting tired of doing the description T-T. Rich guy that's on top of the world and doesn't want to interact with 'peasants' (aka sinners) and is just very prideful.

(Driver) Tsuchiya - Zestial. I gave up on the description. Just that guy that's close to
