#now I need to start again

Yesterday night I was reading something that I wrote in High School, during my Dolce Stil Novo period, while we were studying Dante, and I felt just so baffled, because I realized that it has been at least a decade since I wrote any prose in Italian.

And I felt so ashamed for that.

I was so immersed into English and English literature that I forsook my own mothertongue and I am now realizing that I am starting to pay the price for that.

I also realized that much of the reason why I *dread* the idea of writing again and why I get filled with anxiety is directly connected to the fact that English is not my mothertongue, and each time I have to write, I have to think much harder about how I want to convey a sentence, and sometimes, because my English vocabulary doesn't match the extensivity of my Italian one, I have to research much more than what I would do in Italian.

I don't know how to ecplain, but I literally get brainfogged when I try and write in English.

It's disheartening.

But today, between one headache and the other, I decided that I want to get back into writing, I want to try that again.

And try I did, with a small tiny minuscule scene between Shay and Dora for their Westeros!AU, and it just felt *so good*.

But I want to write in Italian.

I might still post it here, but unfortunately, you might need to translate to read it.

Nevertheless, I want to go back to the same type of elevated writing that I used to do when I was in High School.

Because I do not wish to lose my mothertongue.

I love Italian WAAAAY too much for it to happen.

On one hand I understand that to get good at art I need to make bad art first. But on the other hand I get a tummy ache when I think about my bad art :(

Why does is feel so embarrassing to be an 18 year old creating bad art???? I'm a beginner just like any younger beginner, but I feel like a fool regardless.

Danny blinked, stared blankly, blinked again before slowly very slowly closed his front door.

A few seconds later Danny opened the door again and once again meet a certain tallish young man, around his age if maybe a few years older, in front of him...

Bruce Wayne....

Bruce freaking Wayne, someone according to what he heard from Sam telling him from what she heard from her parents had apparently just dropped out of med school and was 'in the wind' according to rich elite gossip talks, was at his front door.

........

Why?

Wait... Did he just ask Danny out on a date?

Bruce Wayne has just dropped out of med school and is beginning his training into becoming the person his city needs him to become. While looking into where he can he remembers how in his teen years the planet was almost destroyed but was saved by a ghost teen hero and looks into it. He digs deep to uncover what happened, uncovering impressive firewalls Amity Park has, etc and finds out about Danny Fenton/Phantom.

He decides to go visit the younger man, who is just about to start college himself, and ask a few questions.

He uhhh... Bruce just wasn't expecting to find Danny very cute (even though he was pretty certain Phantom had been his first male crush when he saw a photo of the teen years ago), and adorable with his owlish stare, and well the first words out of his mouth was

"Would you mind joining me for dinner?"

I would like to say I don’t understand why this shit keeps happening, but I actually do understand it way too well. It just makes me so sad and angry. Especially on a site where people find and make their communities.

So much of this is about ego, and the people with power wielding that power to protect themselves and failing to protect others with it. A mere hint of negative sentiment towards them is harassment that is dealt with immediately and harshly, but a dozen complaints about discrimination or threats or bullying take ages to process and frequently come to unsatisfactory moderation decisions.

Whatever the sentiments of the people running this hellsite, you are always welcome in my corner of the internet, wherever you find it. You are all wonderful, and we all deserve to feel that part of this space belongs to us and those to whom we can connect.

Transphobia has no place on tumblr, period. Or anywhere else in society for that matter. It is that which should be being rooted out.
