How are you watching this episode and then your immediate reaction is that Mark and Gemma did not have a good marriage.

SHE HAD A MISCARRIAGE. THEY WERE GOING THROUGH AN INSANELY TRAUMATIC EVENT.

They were suffering apart - Mark growing increasingly frustrated and concerned because of his inability to reach his wife and Gemma becoming distant and obsessed with finding ways to overcome their infertility issues - but they still loved each other! They were still together through it all!

And my God - my heart breaks for Gemma even more in this episode. She is so fucking resilient through this hell and desperate to see Mark again. SHE’S ALIVE AND REMEMBERS HIM AND WANTS TO GO HOME.

The lie that creep doctor told her about Mark having moved on and then saying that “maybe she has too, and he’s seen it�� - I need him to be boiled in a vat of acid. Gemma’s stoic facade breaking just for a moment, denying it but you can see the doubt creep in. Only us, the audience, knows that is an absolute lie and that Mark never moved on.

Gemma making a run for it, almost making it out only to be thwarted by the damn severance chip in her head. Her breaking down in the elevator, realizing she’s stuck in this hell transitioning to the shot of Mark seeing the police outside his door as he’s slowly swallowed into the darkness. Incredible.

What is Lumon doing to her? What the hell is with all these rooms. Did Dichen get a sense of deja vu as she read the script and realized they were essentially having her do Dollhouse again, LOL. We still don’t know how they got a hold of her. Did she agree to some scientific procedure that would resolve her infertility issues? Oh, Gemma. She made a deal with the devil it seems.

Dichen finally being able to show her acting range at last. Engrave her name on an Emmy right fucking now.

I want to be happy that all the people saying that Gemma is definitely dead or comatose and doesn’t remember Mark at all (or that she loves him) are wrong but I’m certain that Lumon didn’t take her escape attempt lightly. What punishment they gave to her . . .

Mark, YOU NEED TO LOCK IN NOW MORE THAN EVER. GET HER OUT.

•~{ Heyyy, So I just watched the one Weeping Angel episode of Doctor Who and my brain will not shut the hell up so there’s my attempt to shut it up }~•

Young Justice is in a forest.

They have just finished a mission report and were on their way to get some food so they were not in their hero gear and it was supposed to be normal but hero’s lives can never be normal can they.

As they were walking down the street they heard yelling and then a portal opens up under him and drags them in and the everything goes black for the group.

In who knows how long the group wakes up In a dark forest and start trying to come up with a plan but with the sun almost down it would be better if they find shelter as they don’t know what kind of animals live in this forest.

So they start walking and talking about what they should do and how to get in touch with their mentors and that’s when they hear it, it was just the simple sound of a branch snapping nothing new in a forest like this but as they looked to where the branch snapped that’s when they saw it.

A large figure at least 10-11 feet tall but they were unable to see it clearly as it was covered in shadows but the YJL didn’t have time to ask questions because as soon as the figure noticed that they saw them it started to run at them in a inhuman way and they started to run for their life.

Thankfully as they were young hero’s they could run faster then a normal person would but with the figure hat on their tail it was only a matter of time to see who started to slow down first and than they saw it.

A castle it looks very old but at least they would be anyway from the thing so they started to run even fast and they were almost there! that’s when Kon saw them, it was a person they were laying by a large pond and with how the figure reacted to them well it wouldn’t be good, So Kon dashes over to the person and grabs them and books it back to the now open gates with his team yelling for him to run and that’s when Tim pulls him in and they shut the gate with all of them inside..

What that thing was….

•Background•

The G.I.W took Danny.

Wait let’s go back a bit, Danny with Jazz and told his parents everything from the accident to being Phantom and they were horrified that they were shooting at their son and they immediately start to make all of their weapons ignore Danny and throw out all of their connections with the G.I.W.

But Danny still has to deal with ghost that come from the portal and his parents can’t help with and that’s when the G.I.W grab him after giving him a shot of sedatives to knock him TF out for a while.

After about 5 months the Fentons find where the G.I.W have been keeping Danny and when they find him he is on the verge of fully dying but luckily Danny’s core turns Danny into stone for his own sake but right now the Fentons grab Danny and book it out of there (and kill a few agents but Danny doesn’t need to know) and they call Clockwork to ask him what they should do and if he can help Danny.

And Clockwork says that with the G.I.W still around it’s not safe for Danny to be on this world and Clockwork can take him somewhere safe but Danny will never be able to come back so with some sad goodbyes Danny and Clockwork head into the portal and the Fentons destroy the portal behind them.

But with Clockwork being the Ancient Of Time he wouldn’t be able to care for Danny in the way he needs so Clockwork can’t take care of him so he looks around to see someone that owes him a favor or two and that he also knows will not betray him and he was have no luck until he remembered one of his most powerful allies that who’s him a favor.

The Ancient Of The Wilds.

They would probably be open to taking care of Danny so Clockwork try’s it and brings Danny to them and it goes well and They taking Danny from him and brings him to a old castle that is in their lair.

•This is a horror/Paranormal story to YJL and they have to protect this clearly cursed person and Danny just confused about who these kids are and why are they so protective of him??

•Danny is well over 120 years old by the time the YJL find him

•Danny just calls the Deer Bone Headed Being “Runes” as it was the first thing they said that Danny could understand

•The kids do not know that as soon as Danny touches light he starts to turn to stone

So I finally have time to watch JJK in Japanese w/ English subtitles instead of the dubbed version and I’ve only watched one and a half episodes so far but oh my god????????????????

Megumi asking Gojo to save Yuji WHY DID THEY CHANGE IT SO MUCH IN THE DUB I WASN’T PREPARED

So in the English dubbed version it’s:

Megumi: “I don’t want him to die”

Gojo: “Personal?”

Megumi: “I suppose. So can you save him?”

like obviously still vaguely implying megumi already has formed a serious attachment to yuji in a short amount of time but still VAGUE & with the “I suppose” it sounds like megumi is reluctant to admit it but gojo who has played these games before knows what’s up regardless (I know what you are megumi fushiguro 😏)

BUT In the original w/ subtitles???

Megumi: “I don’t want to let him die”

Gojo: “Your personal feelings?”

Megumi: “Yes. Please do something about this”

HELLO????????????????? MEGUMI SAYING PLEASE GOJO DO SOMETHING????????? IM SICK 😭

and the LET him die is so crucial?????? Already he feels it’s his responsibility to protect yuji because he’s only in this situation now because yuji was determined to help megumi that honestly just is not as clear in the dub. The sub just makes it so much clearer how immediately an inexplicably yuji and megumi are tied together by their shared belief systems that while even though they don’t see eye to eye on how they should utilize their energy saving people when they want to save someone they behave identically risking everything in an attempt to save who they set out to save and they both equally hold the burdens for the other for saving them “don’t tell itadori” “don’t you dare tell fushiguro” truly everything is just clicking in a new way just how fated yuji and megumi are

Like how yuji is always one step ahead of megumi- finding the finger megumi himself was sent to retrieve, being a vessel for sukuna, risking death to save megumi, being saved by sukuna from death, the pace at which he is advancing after the exchange event, sukuna using his body to take lives+losing family both blood and found fathers/mentors leading to him wanting to give up completely - yuji has already walked megumi’s path!!!!! In the opening credits in s1 Yuji on the train half filled with water with ONE black and white stripped fish like yuji has already arrived and set up the aquarium and now he rests waiting for megumi to catch up as it cuts to megumi UNDER the rail tracks on the street level in a tunnel where there is only shallow puddles of water like yuji was just there and he just missed him but is hot on his trail as he’s squatting down studying the water like they’re animal tracks (which by the way re: the water - yuji is literally a pisces - the fish of the zodiac while megumi is a Capricorn - a SEA goat - which can obviously take the same path as the fish but will not be able to move along said path as quickly and needs half air half water like the train yuji is on??????? - gege is SO into astrology I have a half finished post in my drafts about all the astrology of jjk and it’s literally too perfect not to be intentional) in contrast to geto’s all black and gojo’s all white beta fishes that literally CANNOT be in the same tank together without killing each other. Showing the while geto and gojo were true opposites that worked well together for a while but eventually their paths sharply diverged both wanting to build a better world but the methodology behind it being the polar opposite geto’s being completely ego driven and gojo’s ironically being completely selfless with the goal of his students surpassing him rather than it being about a world he personally can enjoy geto and gojo were like two opposing forces who collided and that collision caused them both to ricochet in completely opposite directions - megumi and yuji are two sides of the same coin on the same path going the same direction just one tailing behind the other - yuji and megumi both have a mix of gojo and geto’s strengths and weaknesses dispersed between the two of them in a way that allows them to survive TOGETHER as represented by the one fish with black and white stripes

It’s unfortunate but honestly no wonder gege burned out under a time constraint the level of detail he put into his characters, their design, and all these hidden things in the anime it’s actually mind boggling

It’s also hysterical when ppl try and tell itafushi shippers “megumi and yuji are just best friends” it’s like BRO they are genuinely literally fated soulmates bound together by destiny and all the tragedies that came before them you don’t have to view them as romantic if you don’t want to (but I will and nothing will stop me!!) but like even just calling them best friends is an INSULT to what they truly are lol

Episode Seven: Under Pressure

The next morning, [Reader] woke up to the quiet hum of the city outside her window.

She blinked blearily at the empty space beside her, only to realize—Caleb was gone.

Her fingers brushed against the sheets, still warm from where he had slept. Then it clicked.

He must have left early for his first flight of the day.

With a soft sigh, she rolled out of bed and got ready for work.

As soon as she stepped into the ground control tower, a flurry of voices and rapid commands filled the space.

The storm had already begun rolling in, and the radio buzzed with transmission after transmission of rerouted flights struggling to land.

She was just settling into her station when an emergency call came in.

"Mayday, this is Flight 308. We have a passenger suffering from a heart attack. Requesting immediate priority landing clearance."*

Her stomach dropped at the voice on the other end.

Caleb.

"Flight 308, this is ATC," she responded quickly, her training kicking in. "Due to severe weather conditions, several runways are currently unavailable. We are assessing the safest landing option for you now."*

"Understood. Passenger is unresponsive—medical assistance needed ASAP."*

She clenched her jaw, eyes flicking over the control screens.

Almost all the active runways were occupied. Some flights were already circling, waiting for clearance. If they didn’t act fast—

"Tara," she called, turning to her colleague. "I need you to contact emergency services and have an ambulance waiting at Gate 12. Make sure the paramedics are ready to go the second that plane touches down."*

"On it," Tara nodded, already dialing the number.

[Reader] took a steadying breath before switching back to the transmission.

"Flight 308, diverting you to Runway C for immediate landing. Adjust your heading to 270 degrees and begin descent now. Tower will guide you in."*

"Copy that. Beginning descent."*

Her grip on the console tightened as she monitored the approach, her entire focus locked on ensuring Caleb and his passengers made it down safely.

Seconds stretched into eternity before—

"Flight 308, touchdown confirmed. Welcome to Linkon International."*

A collective breath of relief filled the control room.

She watched as the plane taxied toward the gate, where paramedics were already waiting.

"Nice work," Tara murmured beside her. "That was fast thinking."*

But [Reader] barely heard her, only feeling the tension ease slightly from her shoulders. Caleb had landed safely. That was all that mattered.

Meanwhile, at the Gate

Caleb sat in the cockpit, exhaling deeply.

"That was some quick landing," his co-pilot praised. "Not easy in this weather."*

"Wasn’t just me," Caleb replied, unbuckling his seatbelt. "The ground crew handled it well."*

As they finished their post-flight procedures, Liana approached, a smile curving her lips.

"You handled that so well, Caleb," she said smoothly. "You’ve always been good under pressure."*

The other crew members glanced between them, sensing familiarity in Liana’s tone.

"Wait, you two know each other?" one of them asked.

Liana tilted her head. "Of course. We were friends back in college."*

A murmur of intrigue passed through the crew.

But before the gossip could spread, Caleb shut it down immediately.

"We were batchmates. That’s all," he said firmly. "Nothing more."*

Liana’s smile stiffened for a split second before she laughed lightly. "Right. Just batchmates."*

But the curiosity in the air lingered.

Later, during break

[Reader] was just about to grab a coffee when her phone buzzed.

Liana Reyes: Meet me outside the terminal. We need to talk.

Her fingers hovered over the screen.

She already knew this wasn’t going to be a friendly conversation.

Still, she sighed and headed to the meeting spot.

Liana was already there, arms crossed.

"You should break up with Caleb," Liana said the moment [Reader] arrived.

[Reader] raised a brow. "That’s bold of you."*

"I’m serious."* Liana stepped closer, lowering her voice. "You think you belong in his world? With his kind of family?"

[Reader] stiffened.

Liana smirked. "You don’t want people knowing who you really are, do you? The daughter of a mistress?"

Her stomach churned, but she kept her face unreadable.

"And what if Caleb finds out?" Liana continued, voice dripping with fake sympathy. "Do you really think he’ll look at you the same way?"

"I don’t know," a voice suddenly cut in. "Why don’t you ask me yourself?"

Both women turned—

And there stood Caleb.

His gaze was sharp, unwavering.

Liana’s confidence wavered for the first time. "Caleb—"

"You really think I didn’t already know?" he interrupted, crossing his arms. "That’s what you wanted to hold over her?"

Liana opened her mouth, but Caleb took a step closer, voice low.

"Listen to me, Liana," he said, his tone leaving no room for argument. "I was never interested in you. Not in college. Not now. Not ever."*

Liana flinched slightly, her lips pressing together.

[Reader] watched in stunned silence.

Caleb’s gaze flicked to her, softer now. "You ready to go?"

She blinked before nodding. "Yeah."*

Without another word, Caleb took her hand, leading her away—leaving Liana standing there, her plan completely shattered.

- I don't know whether or not Gideon would be present in Not What He Seems. On one hand: Gideon has telekinesis, yes? So he could easily pull Dipper or Mabel away from the button and sort of dampen the tension in the finale; but he couldn't not be present, right? They'd both be watching out for the timer so neither would want to go too far from the portal and miss Ford's return. On the other hand: Ford's return in NWHS is a perfect set-up for A Tale of Two Stans, which would probably get a bit muddled if Gideon was there to remove some of the spotlight from Stan, and vice-versa given that Gideon is Ford's son 😭. So if Gideon wasn't present in NWHS, he could have an episode or at least a full set of scenes all for himself and his dad in the spotlight, y'know? It's your call of course, but I couldn't help but wonder hahahe

- How will the new family dynamic work now that we have the full set?

- I don't think Gideon was present in Into The Bunker, but would he be there for Society of the Blind Eye or Sock Opera?

- The Last Mabelcorn was one of the coolest episodes for me because of the very even division of Dipper ("brain") and Mabel ("heart"); but would Gideon be present in this episode? If yes, who would he be helping?

- Will Roadside Attraction actually happen in your AU or would you use that time in a better way? 😭

- finally, the big booming question: Weirdmageddon?
