Per rispondere alla tua domanda, Khalif è idonea Per le olimpiadi perché, come citato dall'ask precedente, I termini sono a carico del comitato nazionale algerino. Che aveva già accusato il campionato mondiale di cospirazione e aveva detto che avrebbe inviato khelif a Parigi a Prescindere. Poi per quanto riguarda le 5 sconfitte, il problema si fa complesso. Come hai detto tu stessa (stessæ?) Khelif è una donna intersex, cioé è affetta da una condizione genetica che rende difficile stabilire il sesso effettivo. Il termine intersex però è molto vago, e include molti individui, molti dei quali sterili. La famosa attrice Kim Novak era intersex. La pugilista, a quanto risulta, è vaga a riguardo della sua condizione, e così lo staff medico algerino. Lei è stata pinzata con livelli di testosterone più alti di quanto ammessi. Lo staff medico asserisce che si tratta di una condizione medica dovuta al suo stato di intersex, non si sa (almeno io non sono riuscito a capire) se per scompenso ormonale oppure per presenza di organi maschili (testicoli) NON necessariamente invalidanti lo status di donna: infatti molti individui intersex posseggono una combinazione di entrambi gli organi. Detto ciò, è stata squalificata a causa di questa presenza, e sebbene abbia superato gli esami antidoping per le olimpiadi (NON a carico del paese d'origine, come invece gli esami parametrici), rimane questo alto (per una donna, non stiamo parlando del grado di testosterone di un adolescente maschio) grado di testosterone. Il che è strano, perché prima non c'era. Infatti nei suoi 14 scontri, i primi sono stati disastrosi: i primi tornei di Khelif sono terminati con umilianti sconfitte al primo turno (le 5 donme che l'hanno battuta). Poi, all'improvviso, cominciò a sdraiare tutte le sue avversarie, arrivando alla finale del campionato mondiale nel 2023. Un risultato non da poco per chi prima si faceva mettere al tappeto al primo turno. Questo ha generati molte controversie in ambito sportivo, anche perché l'atleta italiana NON è stata la prima a lamentarsi di colpi troppo forti, specie dopo la grande "rimonta" di Khelif. E direi che un'atleta che si alleni tutta la vita per le Olimpiadi è poco probabile che le lasci solo per fare propaganda di destra.

In conclusione, bisogna mettere in chiaro alcuni punti:

1. Khelif è una donna. Checché ne dicano, non è transgender, ma soffre di una condizione estremamente rara e mutagena, che a volte porta a morte giovane o sterilità. Sebbene abbia cromosomi XY è riconosciuta dalla nascita come donna dallo stato algerino (che non è esattamente hippieland).

2. La sua condizione PUÒ darle un vantaggio teorico e pratico nello sport: i dettagli non sono noti (perché sono cazzi sua) però non è raro che chi soffre della sua stessa condizione produca testosterone, anche a tratti, e quindi formi più muscoli più velocemente.

3. La sua condizione PUÒ permetterle di doparsi senza timore di essere squalificata grazie alla copertura dello staff medico algerino

4. Il comitato olimpico ha deciso per il momento di non indagare ulteriormente, e loro sono la maggiore autorità del caso: se per loro non sussiste rischio, ogni accusa è da considerarsi infondata. I colpi molto forti sono spiegabili dal fatto che semplicemente l'atleta algerina si è allenata duramente.

5. La pugile italiana ha tutto il diritto di ritirarsi se ritiene che la sua salute sia in pericolo. Rimane anche suo diritto, secondo lo statuto, accusare l'avversaria di doping, ma sta al comitato accogliere o meno accuse. Il governo italiano NON ha questo diritto.

Il comitato olimpico algerino aveva accusato l'IBA a buon ragione visto che il capo dell'associazione è l'oligarca russo Umar Kremelev, e che la stessa IBA è coinvolta in scandali non da poco, tanto è vero che è stata esclusa dall'organizzazione del torneo olimpico. Perciò onestamente non so quanto sia giusto dare per buoni gli esami (quelli che hanno escluso la Khelif dai mondiali del 2023) effettuati da un'associazione non riconosciuta dal comitato olimpico internazionale, non solo algerino.

Sono conscia che la produzione elevata di testosterone possa essere un vantaggio, tanto è vero che pure negli uomini si fanno esami antidoping a riguardo, ma, e parlo da ignorante in materia, so che le atlete intersex (o semplicemente affette da iperandrogenismo) con alti livelli di testosterone sono obbligate a sottoporsi ad una cura ormonale per abbassare questi livelli di testosterone, altrimenti sarebbero escluse dai giochi, esempio: il caso di Caster Semenya. Perciò non credo che l'algerina possa "doparsi senza timore" come dici, però tu parli anche di comitato olimpico algerino e staff medico algerino che coprirebbe la pugile, ma, di prove ne abbiamo? Mi parli dei risultati sportivi in netto miglioramento, pure questi, possono effettivamente considerarsi una prova? Questi risultati non possono essere l'effetto di esperienza acquisita e lavoro duro? Al momento queste sono solo supposizioni, e tbh potrebbe valere per chiunque degli atleti in gara, non solo la pugile algerina. Perciò non so cosa dirti, io mi prendo per buono quello che so, ovvero che la pugile ha superato gli esami e può gareggiare, il resto che c'è dietro non lo posso sapere, non faccio parte del comitato olimpico e non sono nemmeno una genetista.

Per Angela Carini: oggi ha annunciato di ritirarsi dalla boxe, tutto per un pugno in faccia. Se questa non ti sembra una sceneggiata organizzata dalla gentaglia che abbiamo al governo, non so. Poi per carità, anche queste qua sono supposizioni, ma ahimè vedo solo il circo e una figura di merda internazionale.

I love this scene. As a martial arts comic (rather than a superhero comic with martial arts, which is a distinction worth making; Danny, like Shang-Chi, is not a superhero who uses martial arts, he is a martial artist who happens to operate in the superhero arena), Iron Fist has a long tradition of creative teams placing particular emphasis on feats of physical prowess like these, and on detailed fight scenes in general. Though this issue takes place after the character had begun veering more into the superhero space, it retains that attention to detail and prioritizing of Danny's technical skills and badassery as a kung-fu practitioner that are so vital to his character. One specific detail I love here is the choice by penciller Kerry Gammill to have Danny pivot and go up on the toes of his supporting foot when kicking Boris in the chin in that bottom middle panel, to allow him more reach and flexibility.

This is not the first time we see Danny make use of his ability to slow down his pulse and breathing. He did the same thing back in Iron Fist volume 1 #14, when he and Colleen were stuck out in the deadly cold and needed to suppress their vitals to stay alive. But what's particularly cool about it in this issue is the presence of Daredevil as a witness, whose heightened senses give him a unique perspective on the situation and allow him to comment on what, exactly, Danny is doing. It's a clever and astute decision by writer Mary Jo Duffy to have Danny pull off a technique that so perfectly suits this team-up, and as a Daredevil nerd as well as an Iron Fist nerd, it makes me really happy.

And finally, it's worth noting that Danny does not use the Iron Fist once in this scene-- or in fact, in the entire issue. As much as I always love a fight that builds to that big moment where he decides it's time for a little dragon chi action, it's also very important to be reminded of how incredibly skilled a fighter Danny is, and of the fact that everything the chi of Shou-Lao lets him do is just an added bonus on top of his many years of intense combat training. He only whips out the Iron Fist when he needs it, and here-- though faced with a formidable enemy in super-strong Boris-- he does not need it.

Let's Sail Away

Harvey has worn this adorable top from his recent IG story a few times this summer, including while filming a mysterious project in June, and while hanging out with his sister Amada and his WWDITS co-star Kayvan Novak during Florida Supercon in July.

I've wanted to make a post on it since he first wore it, but despite how distinctive it is, this lime green top with its colorful sailboat print has been so hard to find!

It turns out that's because it's from a small local boutique in Douglas, GA.

This top is a lightweight, short sleeved button-down with a collared neckline. The material is 97% cotton, 3% spandex, giving the material a light stretch. It comes in sizes up to Large, though there are no size charts to verify measurements, so use caution when shopping online! It retails for $42.95.

Harvey typically wears this top open over a black tank.

Lucy Lu's Boutique primarily sells small and local brand clothing and accessories marketed to women. There is an emphasis on lace, bright colors, bold prints, reimagined retro trends, and unusual silhouettes. I'm eyeing some of their bell bottom jeans at the moment (occupational hazard of running this blog tbh).
