Super simple snack or side that is cheap and easily adaptable!

Ingredients

2 cups cooked sticky rice

1 tbsp vegan rice seasoning (I used a mushroom flavour found at my local Korean market)

1/4 cup vegan bbq sauce

1 tsp gochujang(korean red pepper paste)

Method

Cook rice according to package instructions and set aside. Once cooled, add in seasoning and stir until evenly distributed…

The people of the city carefully made their way on the street, avoiding the carriage and the sweaty merchant. Out of the corner of their eyes the glanced towards the tall, slender figure, carefully browsing through the fruits in front of him.

It was one of the rare occasions when the ruler of the city appeared in the cities everyday life. Certainly a lot of people loitered around, checking out the area. They took care that no one accidentally committed suicide by trying to do something to the Patrician.

One of the apples were inspected by the ruler and placed in the small basket, next to a pear and two peaches already waiting there.

Another drop of sweat ran down the temple of the man opposite to him. "I-I can assure you, sir, that everything is the freshest possible."

"I'm sure that's entirely true, Mr. Notsalad."

The man swallowed, his mustache twitching. "I don't remember introducing myself, sir."

The Patrician looked up from the fruits, his gaze lingered on him for a few moments, then traveled slightly to the right.

Mr.Notsalad realized a few moments later that he should do the same, though he was reluctant to look away from the man in front of him.

The monarch was looking at the billboard next to him. 'Feel free to buy Herry Notsalad's juicy and natural fruits! Guaranteed magic or worm free!'

"Oh. I forgot about that." He cleared his throat, but his words faltered as he heard the approaching steps.

"Uncle!"

A young boy, barely 6 years old, scrambled out of the crowd and ran right next to the ruler of the city. "I knew it was you!"

"It nice to see you too, Samuel. How are you? It was your first day at school, wasn't it?"

"It was so amazing! Mum let me go alone, although dad wanted to walk with me home, but I told him I can go alone!" Young Sam stopped and thought about it. "It's not that far, only 3 streets away."

"I'm glad you enjoyed your first day. Here," the Patrician handed over the larger of the two peaches.

"Oh, thanks! I have to go now. Mum is waiting for me!"

"Off you go then, tell your mother I said hello."

"Will do! Come visit us this week!" And with that Young Sam ran away, almost as enthusiastically as his father did, every time he was chasing someone down.

The people around them tried not to stare.

Mr.Notsalad adjusted his fruits and sheepishly glanced at the Patrician, who caught his gaze.

When the young boy vanished in the crowd Lord Vetinari cleared his throat and raised the basket in his hands. It was full of fruits now. "I think this will be all."
