Something abt Willow defying the narrative itself to bring Buffy back. It’s so selfish, and thoughtless, and also the ultimate act of devotion.

She defies the laws of nature, she rips apart the fabric of reality, but she also defies the show itself. Buffy’s ending was always going to be a tragedy, she was always going to die young. Everyone knows this: Buffy, Giles, the showrunners, the audience. And that almost was the ending! The show was supposed to end in season 5, and obv external reasons led to it being continued, but in universe it’s willow forcibly continuing the story.

Willow was the only one who refused to accept that Buffy dying young was her ending. She defies the damn narrative to bring Buffy home bc that is her best friend!!! And yes it’s also abt her own power and showing that she can, but it’s also abt Buffy spending five seasons desperate to be more than just the slayer, and that Willow’s greatest kindness is refusing to let her die the way the narrative wants. Willow refuses to let Buffy suffer the destiny she’s tried to shirk from the beginning!! It’s abt Willow being physically unable to imagine a life without Buffy; a story without her best friend. They make me want to eat rocks.

Kyojuro being an absolute cuddle bug, his hugs are either so gentle and soft or a giant bear hug, either one he refuses to let go for a good 5 minutes

And an adorable cuddle bug he is. He'll pick you up, hold you, squish you, waddle around with you in his arms whilst speaking such warm affirmations against your ear. The words are as loud as always. So set in truth as he believes each positive thing he says. It's just a natural thing for him: to be so honest. Even more so when Kyojuro's courting you or the two of you are already married. His hugs lift you off the ground regardless of how tall or heavy you are. He's picking you up, that hearty laugh of his rumbling against your body to accompany his actions.

Normally, this walking heater of a man is going to crave your touch. Kyojuro loves you with all of his heart and that passion will never dwindle. It will never set. He'll come to you whenever he can. If something has his fiery spirits blooming, he'll come and hug you right where you stand regardless of whether or not you were talking with someone already. Hands wrapping tightly around you as he carts you off somewhere. He'll apologise later when he realises, but who can fault him for wanting to be with his love?

He'll tell you about his day, his mission, the tasty food he ate. Anything really because his heart beats for you and he's exited. His face is smushed against your chest as you dangle in his arms, his muscles tight around your middle. He'll carry you around like that just to hold you for that much longer, with one fist beneath your thighs to support your weight.

Oh but any other time he'll ask first! He's a polite man first and foremost. If he's not too full of excitement and passion he'll always ask. "May I hold you, my flame?" And he'll be so romantically gentle with you as he does. Pulling you in against him; burrowing his face into the crook of your neck. because Surely you realize how him being gay or bi would change his entire character, right. whether he's attracted to girls or not would change the way all his actions up until now are to be interpreted. not even making a statement on his sexuality here, this is generally speaking

if he was actually attracted to El you'd have to address when and why he suddenly stopped loving El since in fiction "it just happened" isn't usually a satisfying answer to breaking a multi season couple up. Why is Will it for him? he's been acting weird for ages so when did he realize? and what made it click he fell out of love with El for good? you'd have to give some explanation for why he was able to proclaim his love for El accidentally in s3 and then fail to do it in the same season while looking uncomfortable with kissing her and so on since his pov was so majorly withheld

if he's not attracted to girls his arc in s5 needs to focus more on comphet and how dating El affected him/why he felt he couldn't break up with her/homophobic attitude in his surrounding slash Hawkins. or the idea of platonic and romantic love in general. there would be no how he got from point A(El) to point B(Will), like what the focus of a bi!Mike s5 arc would have to be on to explain what happened, but a focus on how he ended up at point A in the first place and why he was stuck there/how it affected him

and even core moments of the series would have entirely different meanings depending on if he's attracted to girls. "it's not my fault you don't like girls" being a peak example. if he's gay it's easy to explain it with projection. if he IS attracted to girls though it would read as a much more intentional (even if blurted out) act of homophobia, since it would be him pointing something out that Will genuinely does (not liking being around girls) but he himself can't relate to

and that's all just the surface level differences. Mike being attracted to girls or not being attracted to girls would give his arc an entirely different focus in s5. AS WELL as make his past actions have entirely different meanings. the idea that "it doesn't matter for his character" is so insanely wrong it's wild how many people confidently peddle it
