I don't know why whether Astarion does or doesn't want kids is such a hot debate. I feel like he could go either way to be honest. Imma be honest as someone who isn't eager to have kids irl I think some of y'all are projecting yourselves onto Astarion when you say he wouldn't want them.

If you pay attention to him carefully in game it's pretty clear he just pretends to hate kids. (Likely as an unhealthy coping mechanism to deal with the fact that he was forced to kidnap the gur children)

You know like how he pretends to hate Scratch, how he pretends to hate kind people, how he pretends he doesn't care about anyone, need I say more?

My own personal headcanon is that if Tav (or whoever he's romanced by) wants kids, then Astarion will probably warm up to the idea and if Tav doesn't then Astarion is perfectly happy being child free.

Whether or not he'd be a good dad is a whole different ball game entirely. I personally think he would be far from perfect, (likely he would have no fucking idea what he was doing most of the time) but he'd care about his kid. I honestly get a little pissed off when people say he would be a deadbeat dad, because unless we're talking about the ascendant version of him that is so not true.

I can however definitely see him raising a spoiled rotten entitled brat who gets away with murder though. But him not being interested in his kid whatsoever does not feel right to me.

I no longer want to engage with this person, so I've blocked them. But I still want everyone to see their bullshit, and so no one can accuse me of being afraid of others seeing their replies, like they tried to do. I'm posting the whole conversation here.

They accuse me of taking issue with them because they "disagreed" with me, but another poster disagreed with me on the same post and I took no issue with them whatsoever. My issue wasn't the disagreement. I never have an issue with anyone who disagrees with me. I have multiple mutuals who disagree with me all the time, and we're still friends. It's the WAY people disagree that bothers me. If they're going to be insulting about it, then I'm going to have a problem.

Their accusation against me that I was "woobifying" Levi and saying his stoicism is "fake" by saying that it's a coping mechanism to deal with his grief and trauma, that it isn't at all indicative of his true feelings, something about Levi that is commonly understood among the AoT fanbase in general, is what pissed me off.

I was simply saying that Levi has developed an in the moment, emotional distance between himself and the events of his life as a way of dealing with the pain those events cause him, and that that emotional distance, that "stoicism" isn't any kind of indicator of him lacking emotion or of him being unaffected by said events. And for that, I'm apparently "woobifying" Levi and saying his stoicism is "fake", and the real kicker, accusing me of "degrading" Levi's character. And then they want to act surprised that I got mad.

The language they use here is the same type of language that so many of those anon haters were sending to Levi blogs in the wake of "Bad Boy", accusing anyone who wanted to discuss Levi's trauma and the trauma of him being exposed to or even possibly experiencing sexual assault of "femininizing" him or trying to make him seem weak. It's the same sort of homophobic, sexist attitude, and is plainly indicative of this person's biased, even vitriolic disdain of any man who's impacted by their trauma. This kneejerk hostility toward anyone daring to acknowledge that Levi is an emotional man who indeed IS impacted by the events of his life. It says everything about what kind of person they are, and nothing about Levi himself. They just hate men who possess any qualities that could be seen as feminine in any way, including having actual feelings, apparently.

Talking from a fe3h discourse perspective I get hating Rhea, as a Rhea lover. To a lesser extent I GUESS I get Seteth. But Flayn??????? She's just vibing and eating fish??? She has NOTHING to do with Rhea's decisions? Like at that point you're (not you op, general you) just looking for issues. To be clear if you hate her because of her personality or whatever sure, to each their own. But hating her because "church bad" feels really stupid to me. since we on the ropic of sibling reader can you imagine how pissed bruce + batfam (and alfred, to a degree) would be if like talia ever did get with sibling!reader, she'd be smug af bcuz if bruce's sibling lives in the manor, it gives her a chance to see her love and her ex in one trip. cut to damian standing in the back conflicted that his uncle/aunt has the chance to become another mom/dad but also looking at his mother like "why are you dating my uncle/aunt 😦🤨"

can you imagine tho bruce throwing an aggressive fit if his sibling chooses to date Hal of all people?? Clark, Diana? He's sees the appeal tbh; he won't be too happy, but he sees the vision. Oliver, Dina? another pair of 'sees the appeal'. But Hal???? no no no bruce is shutting that shit down and fast. Barry is really the only safe option and even then he can quite literally sweep his sibling off their feet and away from the safety of the manor.

i want to imagine that the kids feel very strongly against this but also play matchmaker yk?? like some do it to piss bruce off (mainly jason, damian) and a few others do it for the drama (steph + cass by association, dick). the rest are a mix of both.

Talia totally takes pleasure in rubbing it in Bruce’s face that she’s with his sibling now and she loves seeing Bruce affected by it. He’s not jealous that she’s with someone else, let alone his sibling, honestly he couldn’t care less about that. No, it’s the fact that his sibling is in a relationship in general. Bruce is very much the type who thinks that no one is worthy of being with his sibling and no matter what they will never meet his standards for being a romantic partner to his beloved sibling who more than deserves the world and everything else. Not to mention Bruce knows damn well that Talia plans to take the Reader with her eventually and he’s having none of that.

I could kind of see Damian actually wanting the Reader to be more of a mother/father to him, they already act like one to him so why not officially become his second mom/dad. It wasn’t really until Talia was very open with her romantic intentions towards the Reader that had Damian really leaning towards making it all happen. I could also see Damian being very bratty and extremely jealous thinking of the Reader becoming a parent and having a family of their own that didn’t include him. As far as he’s concerned his aunt/uncle is already like another mom/dad to him and to have their focus and affections being taken off of him really irritates and frustrates him to no end. But when Talia mentions offhandedly about taking the Reader home with her, all bets are off and he’s fighting to keep them with him and Bruce. Unless the Reader was actually willing to go with Talia and start a life with her and the League of Assassins then Damian may be willing to go with them, not only to keep an eye on the Reader but also to stay with them as well.

All the batkids have their own OTP ships for the Reader and they would definitely play matchmaker to make it come true. Mush to Bruce’s horror and disdain. His own kids are going against him when it comes to the Reader’s love life. While he believes they shouldn’t have one whatsoever, the kids have their own ideas of what the Reader’s love life should really be. Also, this is all totally happening behind the Reader’s back without their knowledge. And I have no boyfriend that all the Reader’s suitors have and will continue to make impromptu and uninvited visits to the manor to see and spend time with the Reader. Whether the romantic yanderes were in actuality invited by/planned with the respective Baylis shipping them with the Reader or they came of their own accord to be around the Reader is debatable. But it certainly gets on Bruce’s nerves. Hell, even Alfred has his own ship of who the Reader should end up with adding more towards the betrayal Bruce feels with everyone in the batfamily going against him like this.

Just imagining Bruce’s reaction to Hal pulling up to the manor to take the Reader out on a date is so hilarious. I can’t help but see him being the one to answer the door only to slam it in Hal’s face when he sees him. If the Reader is adamant about going out with Hal then Bruce would totally be sat on their bed the whole time they’re getting ready trying to persuade them to cancel or at least go for someone else other than Hal. Bruce just Turing into a bratty sibling is just too funny not to think about. He definitely glares daggers at Hal the whole time he’s there. The only compromise Bruce could come to is either having the Reader and Hal’s date at the manor so it can be monitored or the date turning into a double date with Bruce and either Selina or some random woman he takes out just so he can keep an eye on his precious sibling. (I can’t help but imagine not only Bruce but the rest of the batfamily dressed in hilarious disguises spying on the Reader and whoever they’re on a date with. Or even the respective yandere’s rival suitors doing the same thing too.)

If you think Bruce’s reaction to his sibling dating Hal is bad, imagine how he takes to learning the Reader is going out with Guy Gardner.

Just read your fic, I don't think I've seen anyone write Lambert so...calm? Not a critique whatsoever, I'm just shocked at how levelheaded he was, even when the dwarf was threatening him. It's a nice change of pace!

A lot of people write him as this angry, prickly, sweary little bastard. Which he can be, for sure, but when he's at his limit.

In the books, he's only mentioned for his mentorship of Ciri. <- Translation (to me): Good with kids. Compound that with his TW3 backstory of how he was treated as a kid, and you've got protectiveness.

In TW3, we see a lot more of him. His angry moments boil down to:

When he's tracking down a guy that murdered his best friend

When Yennefer says she's going to torture a being (that, to his knowledge, might be his niece under a curse) potentially to death

When he's being threatened by monsters that throw boulders at him

When Vesemir shows up with torture equipment that he kept for sentimental value

When Vesemir's dead and Geralt's pushing buttons

When he's relived some of his worst moments during his last trial where he lost ANOTHER friend of his, pointlessly

Which, tbh, are pretty solid reasons to be pissed off.

Is he sadistic? Yes. He killed two people that threatened his life by charming them into killing themselves and told the story to get a rise out of Geralt, and he's proud of the vengeance he got to exact on his dad.

Is he snarky? Absolutely. In nearly every sentence he says.

But off the top of my head, I've only ever heard him raise his voice twice: Once when demanding Jad Karadin's whereabouts, and once when Yen proposed the Trial of the Grasses.

Witchers are "emotionless mutants." This isn't true, but they ARE masters of their own bodies, from their reactions to their mutations. They can control the literal dilation of their pupils at will. Couple that with the kind of training that was exacted on them during Kaer Morhen's heyday, and you get someone who can shut down on command.

Lambert in TMYTIA, so far, hasn't been put in any position to make him angry. He's in control of the situation. He knows what he wants and exactly how to get it. Being able to hide how he's feeling on a job is always an advantage.

And beyond that, Lambert isn't governed by his wrath. He's bitter, sure, but he's also playful. If you take the few moments you get where he isn't grieving, you get someone who's incredibly silly, who likes to do impressions, who goes for a hug when someone says they love him, he names animals, he has the stupidest ideas when drunk. He plays Gwent and likes cracking jokes.

He's the kind of guy not to feel bad whatsoever about murdering a man. But he'd also drop a kid in a pile of snow just to make them laugh, or play whatever role game they asked him to.

Apart of a new series I will be doing with all of the characters on this. Tell me witch one I should do next! Enjoy!

I named König, Alexander Herzog because I liked it. Another person had given him this name and I really like it.

Warnings: none, fluff

Horangi noticed his friend huddled in the meeting room, cradling his phone to his ear as he spoke quietly and in German to whoever was on the opposite end. It was not abnormal to see the feared mercenary Colonel making phone calls, but the way he was speaking was definitely different, unlike his usual manner in borderline yelling and cussing, with thrown German insults for flavor. König sounded like he was talking to someone dear to him. A relative perhaps? Horangi knew though. He and König were close friends, working together for many years.

König hung up the phone and slipped it into his pocket with a sigh. The big man seemed small at this point, as if the weight of everything was crushing him. After a few seconds, the man composed himself and noticed Horangi standing there. “Ja?” He asked forgetting to switch over to English, but Horangi knew what he ment. “Nothing sir, how’s the misses?” He looked at him behind his balaclava.

“She’s well.” He stated simply. Horangi nodded “Thats good.” He moved from where he was standing. “Come on there’s some inspections that need to be done on the humvees.” König nodded and followed the smaller man out to the grounds were the vehicles we’re getting checked on safety.

Everyone knew König as the infamous leader of Kortek, a proud Commander who sought out respect from his troops. He made sure to handpick every individual with the raw talent that could be tapped in. Everyone knew he was a beast on the battlefield, he had no care whatsoever when it came to methods of killing, some more gruesome than others. Many of the newer recruits feared him both in an awestruck and terrifying way. They were so grateful that they were on his side, because if they were not, it would not end well for anyone.

He could be borderline mean and menacing as well, mostly it was directed towards his captors or the unfortunate rookie who pissed him off one too many times. König has a long fuse but it could go 0-60 before you even knew what was going on. For those who did not know him well, they would think he was a controlling dictator with arrogance thrown in there, and a monstrous way of killing.

König never wanted this. He always wanted to be liked by people not be feared by them. He wanted people to be able to trust him and he with them, but after years of being betrayed and beaten, kicked, and tortured both on the playground at school and on the battlefield, he realized that no matter what, he would be seen just at face value. He did make a few friends in his career and those that have proven themselves were held at his highest value. Horangi was one of them. The South Korean man who had a gambling addiction. The two became like brothers and enjoyed one another’s company. König was happy that he had a friend that he could trust on.

König wanted his dream life, a sniper, with loving friends and a family he could call his own. When he got rejected for being a sniper, he was pissed, and crushed. His mind still loathing to this day on him proving to everyone that he was once again, not useful. Mainly because of his hight and his inability to stay still. He always hated his hight, but he did enjoy it when it did come to be useful. No one challenges a 6’10 Austrian man. He liked it that way.

Going back to the present, he was helping som of the new recruits with the inspections. It was boring and tedious. He hated this type of thing. He craved for action on the battlefield. He got to let his anger out and not give a dam.

After the day was done he would trudge up to his quarters and lay on his creaky old bed. He missed home. He missed you. Yes, the fights helped him forget and the meetings and mountains of paperwork were also great distractions, albeit not wanted, he, at the end of the day, still missed you. You brought familiarity and comfort to his overworked self. You brought stability when he had non. All it took was a simple touch, and the Colonel of a mercenary unit would be wrapped around your finger. He was a gentle soul deep down. He loved you and cared for you like no other. He worshiped the ground you walked on and basked in your presence. Somehow you were his achilles heel, but he could not care less. Right now all he wanted was you to cuddle up next to. To read to you and watch your beautiful tired eyes close as you drifted off to sleep. He lived for those simple moments. All he had now was a cold hard bed and no one to help him rewind for the night. With a frustrated sigh, he closed his eyes and tryed to sleep.

A few weeks had past now everyone was going home. It had been a long and rough mission that took a toll on everyone. A young scout had almost had his face blown off if it wasn’t for König to save them and get them and the others to safety. It was a miracle that he did not receive any major injuries.

König was at the airport now, looking around and seeing if he could find what he was looking for. He was tall so he stood out of the sea of people like a sore thumb. “Alexander!” A female voice called out. The giant man swiveled around to the sound and saw his beautiful wife running towards him. The biggest grin spread across his face as he made his way to you and picked you up as if you weighed nothing. “Ah mein Engel! I have missed you so so so much you have no idea.” He started to kiss you all over your face, ending it with your lips. “I don’t want to ever be separated from you ever again.” He was desperate for you. The man that everyone feared, was a big teddy bear to you.

“Hey big guy. I missed you too.” Your voice was music to his ears. “Come on let’s go get your things.” You stroked his chest as he carefully let you down but not letting go of your hand. The two of you walked towards baggage claim and he was asking so many questions about how you were, and what was going on in your friend group and how were your parents. He wanted to know everything that was going on in your life while you two were separated. By the time you two made it to the car, you could tell that the tiredness was starting to kick in now that the adrenaline and dopamine rush was leaving him. It wouldn’t be long before he would be passing out.

You try to get him to talk as much as possible so that he wouldn’t fall asleep. Once he was out, he would be out for quite some time anywhere between a day to three days of sleep. The bare minimum of what he actually needed. You were finally able to get him inside, and in some comfortable warm PJs before he slipped under the covers and passed out, happy to be back home with you, cuddling next to his spooning frame, protecting you even in his sleep. You were happy to have your gentle giant back as well, your husband always brought a smile to your face whenever he was acting himself, and now you too were also falling into dreamworld with your Alexander.

literally so done with rhaegar antis at this point. we know practically nothing about this character besides all the good things other characters say about him and the fact that robert baratheon hates him and says things about rhaegar that ned disagrees with. and robert baratheon is a pos so being hated by him only does favors for rhaegar’s character imo.

but somehow all these characters who think well of rhaegar are just lying. even though almost all of the characters who have spoken/thought well of rhaegar come from different families and have different allegiances. make it make sense. explain it to me like i’m five. what do jamie and ned have to gain by thinking positively about rhaegar? what about jorah? and barristan?

seriously. stop with the “prophecy obsessed freak” and the “rhaegar was mad” bs. none of this is supported in the books.

for 1) the prophecy is real! this is a fantasy series! and it’s very likely that jon snow (his likely son) is one of the azor ahai/prince that was promised figures! the other completely certain azor ahai figure is his own sister! so yes this prophecy seems to be centered around rhaegar’s family.

2) rhaegar being “mad” is not supported whatsoever. prophecies and magic are very real in asoiaf. so believing/trying to figure out prophecies is not an act of a madman. if anything, we should praise rhaegar for having the foresight to be actively concerned about this world ending threat! he was right. and one mention, if not the first mention, of the song of ice and fire comes from a vision in the house of the undying… from rhaegar. please remember what the title of this series is…

now, it is fair to criticize rhaegar for how he treated elia at the tourney at harrenhall. he was wrong there and that was a terrible thing to do to elia. however, saying that rhaegar was awful to elia throughout their whole marriage is not supported. and saying that rhaegar was awful to his children is not supported at all.

also, getting angry at a fictional character for needing a son to secure the succession to the throne is hilarious, especially since it was necessary for not just rhaegar, but also for elia to secure their own positions at court. they both needed a male heir, but elia needed to have a son more than rhaegar to secure her position. so why are people so mad that rhaegar and elia had aegon? andal tradition says that a son comes before a daughter and a daughter before an uncle… but aerys had viserys to threaten rhaegar with because aerys was king and had the power to change the succession. having aegon was very important for both rhaegar and elias futures and protected rhaenys position as well. just look at what happened to alys karstark when all of her male brothers were gone. she was almost usurped by her uncle. do you really think aerys would let the throne pass to a girl? aerys??

anyways, we don’t know enough about rhaegar and elias relationship to actually make any concrete statements about them, but, from danys house of the undying vision of rhaegar and (likely) elia, their relationship seemed fine and they seemed open with each other. not every marriage of duty ends in nedcat and five kids, but their marriage was clearly far from the robert and cersei nightmare.

another thing rhaegar antis love to harp about is how he is a pedophile. i’m literally so sick of it. rhaegar, someone who seemingly struggled with some form of depression, finally found some joy outside of a marriage of duty. the author himself called rhaegar a love struck prince. ned never thinks ill of rhaegar, even though if the stories robert baratheon would have us believe were true then ned would be the first character who thinks rhaegar is some sort of monster. but ned doesn’t. back to the pedo argument… anyways i have issues with the age gap as well. but i know where to lay my criticism. with george. he’s weird about ages and it pisses me off. however, i won’t let this change the way i see a character, especially since westeros doesn’t have any age of consent laws.

god just criticize george already.

but to be clear, rhaegar, a tragic character who died trying to protect his family, who’s daughter hid underneath his bed for protection, is not some monster. he was born in grief, lived in grief, found some joy, and died whispering the name of the woman he loved. that’s sad. and it’s horrible that he’s blamed for his family’s deaths even though he fought and died trying to protect them. and then robert baratheon sat on his throne and drunk and whored the realm into debt. thank you mr. boar. and good riddance. cersei slayed with this one.

now if you want to blame someone for the war and what came after, then blame aerys for his cruelty. blame brandon for his foolishness. blame robert for his warmongering. blame tywin for his monstrous actions. blame gregor and amory for their terrible violence.

stop blaming the guy who died trying to protect his loved ones.

and tbh, we literally have so little knowledge of what happened before the rebellion and after harrenhall. we just don’t know what happened between rhaegar and lyanna besides what george has told us and whatever small scraps we get in the book. we don’t know if it was a rash decision or if there was some plan in place when rhaegar and lyanna ran off. we just don’t know.

so please stop treating your headcanons like canon facts. especially when your headcanon isn’t supported anywhere in the books! it’s so tiring to see! i get it! you hate this character! whatever! but stop acting like what you’re saying is canon!

rhaegar is simply a ghost haunting the narrative. but his legacy lives on in dany and (likely) jon. and both of them are saviors fighting the good fight. and based on the descriptions we have of rhaegar, i can say that he’s likely very proud of his sister and son.

I'm genuinely pissed off now that I know some people seriously believe Jamie was cheating on Keeley with Bex... even in the context of only knowing what I knew on first watch, I had the brain power to be like, clearly he's only doing this for clout and to make himself look like hot shit... I mean it's pretty telling when he's like "nobody was betting on you anyway mate" to Roy... Pal the only people betting on you were the same old lady who bet on Roy, your girlfriend, and the other woman you invited specifically to bet on you!!! the call's coming from inside the house!!!

Also after Amsterdam's context, the entire scene makes me feel sooo squirmy for him and I think there is definitely an added element of Jamie definitely not feeling comfortable with the unknown/not having control in the bidding. He absolutely invited Bex as a way to help ensure someone he chose and knew to be Safe would win the night out with him, instead of an Unknown & Potentially Unsafe Person. Roy & Keeley's "jokes" at the table do not help!!!

Rebecca gives Keeley a warning because she 1) has no knowledge of the true situation and 2) is coming from the place of just getting out of relationship in which she was cheated on and manipulated for years. Obviously, Jamie is still in the wrong for orchestrating all of this then being seemingly amused by Keeley's display of jealousy. I'm not trying to defend him to the death here but... there is no indication whatsoever that he was cheating on her!!!

love dream, hate dream, i don't care. you can think he's a terrible person, think he did terrible things WHILE ALSO acknowledging how well-spoken and important it was for him to say something. all of these stupid "he's doing it to save face!" or "this is an insane PR tactic" or even the "this is dangerous!!!" are actually so insensitive and to be quite honest makes you side with abusers!

dream is a victim of domestic violence and has been public about this for YEARS - it is so incredibly important that he spoke out in support of shelby while ALSO condemning wilbur's actions as a victim of domestic abuse to show solidarity, from one victim to another. to show that he KNOWS what it's like, he knows the behaviors and the tactics. he saw them in wilbur's bullshit "apology".

dream even says in his statement how encouraging it was to see, as a victim himself, that people were speaking out in support of shelby. how this was going to raise awareness to see the signs, to help encourage more people to speak out and not fear their abuser or just to be able to stand up for anyone who decides to speak out about it. to go on and completely diminish his words by saying "don't let this fool you!" is actually really gross. diminishing another victim's voice is gross. nobody said you had to like him for speaking up. did he have to? no. did anyone have to? also no! don't know why we're so upset and angry about having more uplifting voices, more support. we should be focusing on supporting shelby, not using another victim's message of support to shit on other people and bring external situations into this. it's gross and draws the attention away from the matter at hand, which is what the abuser tried to do in the first place.

since im here (probably won't be back to waffle until the tubbathon starts lol) i just wanted to point out the parts that really stuck out to me from his response because even though i don't really care for him anymore, i do think his support/condemnation has been the best worded so far.

it is so so important that he described her as such because not only does it continue to uplift her and encourage her to stay strong and continue to be brave, but it shows that speaking out against any form of abuse no matter what it is is BRAVE. it's admirable and hopefully sends encouragement to anyone else who reads it that speaking out against it is brave. point blank period. (and honestly everything in his apology to shelby was so incredibly well-worded - its really the fucking fact that dream who had no involvement whatsoever could apologize but wilbur didn't even know what he was supposed to apologize for lol.)

i've said this before, and i'll say it again. all of my love and support goes out to shelby. i am so incredibly inspired and proud of her for being able to stand up for herself, to speak out against someone even if they had a larger platform and raise awareness to the signs and pieces of shit within the community so we don't continue to support and platform dangerous people. i've watched shelby for such a long time, she was such an important part of my childhood and it actually breaks my heart that someone could even THINK of doing anything like that to her because she is such a fucking light and fuck ANYONE who would do anything to try and put that out. i wish her nothing but the best and all of the healing in the world because she deserves it so so much. my heart goes out to any and all other victims of wilbur, as well.

i used to have the same issue with luke. i'm not a huge fan of characters being good at Too Many Things, especially when there's no flaws to balance it out. it really pulls me out of the story. so like. the more you try to impress me with a character, the less impressed i'll be. which. is why i haaaate artem's newer cards.

see, the thing is, the whole reason why i liked artem in the first place is because of how he felt like the down to earth option. he wasn't the childhood friend/undercover agent/detective/stem genius, he wasn't a ceo and son of the richest family in stellis, and he wasn't literal royalty. he was just a lawyer who worked with rosa. he was bad at talking to people. he was a bit of a homebody. he was LAME. completely inexperienced in romance. he was good at his job, but it was obvious he put all of his skill points into being a lawyer and no where else. his abilities with shooting and cooking were both important aspects to his character, but the skills hoyoverse added beyond that just baffle me.

he wasn't cool, but he was kind and genuine.

ever since second anniversary, there has been absolutely no consistency to artem's character whatsoever.

neil gets mentioned less and less even though he was a major part of artem's life AND character. neil was his father figure, since his parents were rarely, if ever, around. and yet, in recent cards, tot constantly goes out of its way to try and convince us artem's parents did nothing wrong. to add to that, we're lucky if neil is even mentioned.

in earlier cards, it was very clear artem was grieving neil's disappearance (see: entwined fate). it was also clear artem's childhood circumstances were extremely lonely and caused him to try and brush off the neglect because he didn't want to stress out his already busy parents (see: loving memories and his dreams of childhood sr)! earlier cards also hinted at traumatic events and a fear of firearms due to how dangerous neil's job as a lawyer was (see: focus fire).

but for god knows what reason, newer cards said well! fuck all of this! artem no longer gives one single shit about neil! also? honestly? the writers seem confused and disoriented by artem downplaying his childhood issues and just made it so he truly Had no issues with his childhood. which. ok. i guess.

in recent months, we have not had one single card where rosa and artem sit down to talk about how artem feels about neil's disappearance. one single card where artem even openly addresses any traumatic experiences. or emotional neglect in childhood.

remember when focus fire mentioned that a disgruntled mafia member held him and neil at gunpoint because he was pissed neil put everyone else in the gang behind bars?? no?? yeah, me neither! because it's never mentioned again! old tot content implies it was incidents like these, the general emotional neglect from his parents, and neil's disappearance that contributed to artem's closed off personality. but man, fuck that! for some reason!

this doesn't even touch upon artem's romantic and sexual inexperience, which has also been entirely undone. he's a sex god now, i guess.

and let us not forget how artem has learned and forgot the same lessons like, several times. artem did we not learn why jealousy and possessiveness are bullshit in atmospherics, por una cabeza, etc...??? are we really back at this again? and it's not even being addressed as a character flaw anymore? okay! okay. fine! whatever.

but okay. i'm getting off track. you asked me an entirely different question! where would i have liked to have seen the cards go? i think the cards following second anniversary are so... well, nothing that you could probably swap out the plots and avoid losing anything of importance.

honestly, i think artem's cards would have shined the best if they stuck to his original character. so when considering the confines we have now:

artem is extremely emotionally repressed. it'd take time for him to come out of his shell. and his early dating cards do begin like this! it's very endearing! several cards could focus on this progression as he becomes more comfortable and relaxed with rosa. progression into being engaged. living with someone for the first time. please.

rosa and artem's dynamic has like, vanished in recent cards. which is a goddamn shame, because their more comfortable dynamics in his railroad, revisiting youth, and snowfallen secrets cards are so charming! they joke around! artem's sense of humor pokes out! they act like real PEOPLE! they're silly! they're nerds! they're equals! i'd keep this dynamic instead of it just being artem flipping back and forth between sex god and "yes i will do whatever you want [insert player name here]"

neil. please, can we focus on neil. what being a lawyer means to artem. how neil influenced that. how artem feels about neil being gone, how artem feels about neil's possible betrayal of the nxx?? he could always have an arc of going through the stages of grief, or learning to look at things through a new lens. being sad neil won't be around for milestones. etc.

the incidents implied in focus fire. okay, being held at gunpoint is pretty uhhh fucking traumatic. did any other events happen bc of neil's status? his parents' statuses? is this why he is so emotionally repressed? is this why he takes the law so seriously?

his parents. can we stop acting like his parents did nothing wrong. please. his parents used to be portrayed under the "well meaning but ultimately very flawed" light, which i adored. it was grey. it was human. maybe artem could learn that it wasnt right of his parents to be so nonexistent in his life. his parents can still love him and make mistakes. maybe he could rebuild his relationship w his parents? maybe once he realizes what he went through wasn't normal, he can be angry, and work through it. idk! anything! please!

more focus on rosa. her studies. her exams. anything. her family. her past. her hobbies. her teaching artem something. rosa talking about her issues. pelase. Please.

it truly feels like his original writers got swapped out, and the new ones have no idea what artem's charm was in the first place. they have no idea how his character even works, so they're just desperately trying to attach Cool Hobbies to him bc they think he's more boring than the other boys when like. that's the fucking point, that IS his charm.

Wednesday’s eyebrows rose when Tyler stormed past her into her dorm, not even acknowledging her before he started cussing in a mixture of English and Québécois as he paced back and forth between Enid’s and Wednesday’s halves of their room.

“That ostie de trou de cul! If not for Enid and Ajax holding me back, I would have smashed his self-righteous face in!”

Now Wednesday blinked. She had never seen Tyler so agitated before. He rarely swore, and he only used Québécois, of which he had picked up a little from his mother before she died, when he was truly pissed off. Despite (or maybe because of) his being a Hyde, he usually had himself under admirable control, even when he was being bullied or hazed. (Also, him using French did things to her, but she would never admit that.)

“Who is this ‘fucking asshole’ you speak of, and what did he do?” she asked, though she had a suspicion.

“Xavier!” he spat in confirmation, shooting her a quick look on his next pass. “He...” Tyler growled, clearly reluctant to go on.

Wednesday crossed her arms and raised both eyebrows at him. There was no way she’d let him complain about Xavier without explaining what he’d done or said to enrage Tyler this much.

Finally, he stopped just on her side of the border, running his hand through his hair and gesticulating wildly as he explained, “That self-righteous prick told me, and I quote, ‘Don’t think you’re better than me just because Wednesday lets you stick your dick in her for now. The moment she’s had enough, she’ll kick you to the curb without a second thought.’ Thank goodness Enid and Ajax held me back while Bianca, Kent, Yoko and Divina dragged that enfant d'chienne out of the quad. I—we—never wanted to maul someone so bad in my life.”

He ran his hands down his face and took a deep breath, then turned to look at her. “Um... why aren’t you saying anything?”

Wednesday tilted her head. “Since when do you let what Xavier says get to you so much?”

Tyler threw up his hands. “Because it’s not true! We’re not having sex; we’re not even together! I mean where did he even get that idea?”

Wednesday still felt confused. “Are you upset because Xavier thinks that we are having sex, or because of the fact that we are not?”

“All the time! One of the first things you complained to me about was the constant obsession of the Nevermore student body at large with who is with whom. And again when Enid was trying to set you up with people when you had no interest whatsoever!”

“That was four months ago. And I had no interest in those people.”

Tyler continued, “And there were several times when you said you never saw the appeal in sex or relationships. You keep going on about how your parents’ public displays of affection are abhorrent to you.”

Wednesday rolled her eyes. “For the former, I spoke in past tense. For the latter, I have seen jackals with more self control than my parents. I wouldn’t be half as put off if they were more discreet in showing their mutual affection.”

Tyler blinked at her once, twice, thrice. “What are you saying? Are you... interested?”

Wednesday sighed and bit her lip before admitting softly, “I might be. If the right person were interested, too.”

“And you think they aren’t?”

She shrugged and looked toward the window, arms moving to hug her torso. “Sometimes I think they are, but sometimes I think they aren’t.”

She could feel Tyler’s eyes studying her closely before he spoke again, his voice gentle. “Wednesday? Is the right person... me?”

She just looked at him, head held high, lips pressed together tightly to keep them from trembling. She had never before let herself be so vulnerable. No one else had ever been worth the effort.

His hazel eyes never leaving hers, Tyler stepped closer and gently took her by her shoulders, moving slowly enough that she could evade him. “Wednesday... I would happily be your friend for the rest of our lives, but I’ve been gone on you since almost the day we met. I just never said anything because I thought you weren’t interested.”

All she could do was stare at him, eyes wide.

He moved even closer, leaning down a little, and asked softly, “Can I kiss you?”

Wednesday flung her arms around his neck and rose to the tips of her toes, pressing her lips against his. It was clumsy at first, but she copied the way Tyler moved his lips against hers and soon it felt like they’d done this a hundred times before. He adjusted their angle, cradling her face gently between his hands, and soon their kiss deepened until they finally had to break for air. Wednesday felt like her body was floating and simultaneously had been set aflame.

“I want you,” she gasped, pulling him towards her bed.

Tyler’s eyes widened. “Whoa, don’t you think we should take it a bit slower?”

She shook her head impatiently. “We’ve wasted months already, that’s slow enough, don’t you think? We both know we want this.”

The Hyde shone through in Tyler’s answering smirk. ”Well, when you put it that way...” The next thing she knew, Wednesday was lying on the mattress, Tyler on top of her, kissing, biting, and sucking his way down her throat. She moaned, her fingers fisting into his soft hair as her head rolled back on her blanket.

Enid was reaching for the handle on her dorm room door when an unusual noise from inside made her freeze. She tilted her head, listening intently. 

What is that banging? Is someone attacking Wednesday? But isn’t Tyler—Hold on!

Banging. Rhythmic banging. Like metal hitting a wall. Wednesday’s bed had a metal headboard. Tyler had come to see her. Were they—?

And then she heard Tyler’s strained voice exclaim, “Fuck, Wednesday, you feel so good!” followed by Wednesdays breathless, “Harder!” Immediately the frequency of the banging picked up, accompanied by twin moans.

Heat flooded Enid’s face as she turned on her heels and speedwalked back down the empty hallway, all the while muttering to herself. “I can’t believe it! Wednesday knew I’d come back soon! How could they... I’ll never be able to unhear this! OMG!” She stopped at the top of the stairs, taking several deep breaths as she tried to calm her racing mind. “Well, that was a bit disturbing, but then again, it could have been worse, I could have actually walked in on them.” When her face finally had cooled down and her heartbeat slowed to normal, she shook her head and sighed. She really couldn’t complain too much, they’d been very discreet until now, after all. So she’d let them have this one time. Maybe she’d go see if Yoko wanted to hang out for a couple of hours.

Okay, so...I'm going to just spill my tea here. During every single TVD-rewatch, my Forwood-heart breaks a little bit more. They were a believable pairing with a slowly developing bond, trust and great chemistry. Tyler is very unfairly treated and underrated among the characters, writers and the fandom. It's quite hypocritical to blame Tyler of some things that he did completely unwillingly, because he was lied to or because he hadn't been told the whole truth about things and then claim that someone else would be better fit for Caroline. And in some cases he was rightfully angry and lashed out, but it has been taken out of portion. Yes, I'm talking about 5x12: no matter what is claimed sometimes, he didn't try to hurt or kill Caroline. He was emotional and had tried to get her to leave and give him the space by talking, but it hadn't worked and his other form came out. I don't know how to finish that sentence. I hope that these two would've been endgame.

When I first watched TVD, I saw the appealing of Klaroline, mostly because I thought I saw some connections to Sparrabeth, which is one of my favorite ships ever. But now I realize they are not nearly the same. I like Caroline most of the time and I love the journey Klaus goes through in the Originals, but in the bigger context them "falling" for each other is rushed, doesn't make sense whatsoever and it ruins both of their development and what makes them great as individuals. Caroline is much more than just some prop for someone else's redemption (and Elena too, but I'm not gonna dive into it here). The show tries to sell the idea that Klaus somehow understands and truly sees Caroline better than anyone else, even than the people who have known her and stood beside her for years, which is not actually true in canon. He doesn't actually say anything good that someone else hasn't already pointed out in one way or another. In my opinion, as reluctant frenemies who challenge each other, they can work, but nothing more. Caroline shows up in the Legacies? Makes sense. Her showing up in the Originals? Beats up the dead horse, rewrites history and ends up pissing off the most of the Klaroline-, Klamille-, Klayley-, Steroline-, Forwood- and Maroline-fans. Job well done.

Y’know what annoys me? Most Trivia Murder Party fans. If you feel like you belong in the most category and/or feel like you’re going to be attacked by reading this: please do not read further, this isn’t designed to be an attack on anyone, but i do not sugarcoat my feelings one bit ether. Now for the rest of you who are interested in reading out my very long vent about my distain for the fandom’s babification of TMP & TMP 2: click “Keep reading” instead. (But be warned: my words are venomous to the ill prepared.)

Now this isn’t talking about ALL of them: i mean for starters, i have no qualms with the majority of Russian Trivia Murder Party fans, since they actually stay quite true to the themes of the source material, i’m talking about the actual children who take this game that’s themed around horror and death and turn it into a children’s show!

Like the amount of poll vaulting these children do with their headcannons to remove everything that’s scary or even SLIGHTLY violent about the Trivia Murder Party series deserves an Olympic medal. There’s a joke about masturbating in a cemetery for Pete’s sake! The “not family friendly” tag is there for a reason.

I mean not only do they infantilize the host, turning them from a quirky individual who can be incredibly threatening when they want to be to just “uwu stabby stabby”, but they also somehow manage to infantilize the VICTIMS! Y’know, the voodoo dolls that are meant to represent you, the player behind the phone?

And i mean i have nothing against giving the victims a little personality, but like...god these guys treat The Jester like they are an actual infant! If i was shot everytime i saw a “Jeter likes cheese” post; it’d be a miracle if i was still alive! And why do you guys ship them with The Sheriff of all victims?!? I just don’t get that, never did and probably never will. Not to mention how much they downplay some victims like Lust, Pride, Gluttony or Despair, to the point where they don’t even resemble their sins anymore!

Now let me tell you about these headcannons. First of all: the whole “they get turned into the dolls” pisses me off SO MUCH! Every time i see this happen, it just RUINS my enjoyment then and there. The only reason why these kids even headcannon this is because acknowledging the fact that whenever a doll get’s shot, or stabbed, or thrown into a blender: there’s supposed to be a human that’s getting mystically mangled like the doll! And since any blood whatsoever is too scary for them to handle, they would rather turn people into dolls or completely remove the voodoo from voodoo doll. Because god forbit a piece of media run by a serial killer have blood!

And don’t get me started on the shit-show that is Schmitty X [REDACTED]. The amount of hurdles these babies jump to justify that this is a healthy relationship and not abusive stockholm syndrome is frankly disgusting. Now it’s one thing to base your ship entirely around the original Trivia Murder Party, where they are just friends and shipping them wouldn’t be problematic. And it’s another thing to ship them and make it an abusive one. But...god...god these kids are so insistent that ether 

A. It’s all fake, and that the trauma Schmitty is going through is just coincidental (which i find to be a copout that does not make sense, especially if you add the fact that they believe YDKJ: FS’s ETS is fully real [which i’ve already made a post about my gripes with that]).

B. He forgave him after realizing that it was his friend who kidnapped and tortured him for actual years (which is much worse).

C. TMP Killer kidnapped him because they were attracted to him (which is not only significantly more worse, but also what the fuck are you implying with that).

Or D. All of the above (which does not make ANY sense and violently contradicts itself).

I don’t get why these kids want to back Schmitty up in a love corner with Cookie Masterson & the Trivia Murder Party killer, when cutting him out and shipping “Murderson” instead is infinitely better! (No i do not ship Cookie X [REDACTED], if you were wondering; i’m just pointing out the obvious).

I mean where’s the violence? The angst you guys love so much?! What’s stopping you from drawing gore of the series that’s just BEGGING for it?!?! It seriously reminds me of the Creepypasta fandom or the Five Night’s at Freddy’s fandom, but at least with those two: i can actually FIND gore and angst about it! I have 3.81 GB of JUST Trivia Murder Party content stored in my Fun & Games drive, and barely ANY of it has even the SLIGHEST bit of blood or the MODICUM of angst!

Honestly i just wish that these children would grow up and start making some content that’s actually true to the source material of the game they claim to love so much.
