I like how in my life I went from: "I am intrinsically different from other human beings because I'm smarter and a better person than everyone else, but I will always be alone for it, though" as a child, to "Well, people are very different and not everyone is as bad or as dumb. There's lots of people who are worth it and lots of people who are good and smart. It's not just me!" as a teen, then back again to "I am intrinsically different from other human beings because I'm smarter and a better person than everyone else" as an adult. And yes, I am on antidepressants.

i have all these OCs and they’re just maladaptive daydreaming fodder - i have no desire to make any publishable media out of them because i love being free of the burden of nuance. things can be bad and problematic and everyone can be a mary sue and it doesn’t matter because they’re just for my personal amusement.

but i have the problem that all my current OCs originate from dream i had a few years ago about these characters in a universe where some people can shapeshift into animals. but as things have spun out and i think more about the other people in their universe like their friends and their friends’ friends and so on i am really not interested in the fantasy element, but it played enough of a role in key plot points that i can’t write it out completely.

so i have these stories of like healing from trauma and learning to have functional interpersonal relationships and embarking on interesting careers but also there’s some guy there who can turn into a horse. that’s not important right now. it doesn’t come up at all. just ignore it, it’s fine, that’s normal here.

#even when i did like the shapeshifting stuff i have the issue of like overthinking stuff #like ok what happens to your clothes #let’s go with Harry Potter animagus style shape shifting and say you keep your clothes #ok but what happens to the stuff in your pockets?#how does it affect airport security if some people can shapeshift into mice or other highly mobile creatures #if you’re a shapeshifter and you’re pregnant what is the fetus doing if you shapeshift #(this wasn’t even the nuance that made me never want to release these characters into the world!)#(i was more like hmm it’s fun for me to just have this guy have a virtually unlimited amount of money #but in the real world being a billionaire is unethical but i am just going to pretend that somehow in this world it isn’t)

It truly pains me to say this. But it's looking more and more like Warrior nun was never saved. Not the Warrior nun that Simon and the cast and the writing/producing team lovingly created.

Rather seems the end goal for Dean English was always his original plan. A movie adaptation of the source material. Which is to say the comics. The alleged new producing company is owned by dean English. And he has been apparently working closely with Ben Dunn. They have no claim over Netflix's warrior nun, that includes Ava, Beatrice and whichever original character they introduced. I'm so sorry for all the hard work that the fandom pulled off to gain traction and attention to the show. What I don't know and can't even speculate on is why the hell did Simon Barry announced that Warrior nun was saved only to now wash his hands clean of whatever is going on. Not cool of him, really not cool

I really wanted to get our beloved characters back, but it don't think it will happen. And to me personally the bottom line is that as long as capitalism is allowed to keep bleeding the entertainment business dry, good shows will keep getting cancelled after barely 1-2 seasons, we'll keep getting shows with no more than 10-8 episodes per season (which causes rich complex deep character and plot development to suffer from being shortened). The impact and almost sure success of the WAG strike is definitely a first step in the right direction. But until us consumers find a way to fuck up their cannibalistic market model this will keep happening, specially to LGBTQIA+ shows, specially to shows with lesbian/WLW leading characters.

#in a world without taxes i would've been dead at 18 #if not way earlier #i fucking love taxes #how people can think ''taxes are bad because it's a portion of my paycheck taken by force''#and then stop there. like just stop thinking at such an early stage of the thought process #and feel content that they've understood enough #you should already have an idea of what a world where you have to pay everything in full by yourself is #the us healthcare system is a prime example #i just can't fathom how people are so fundamentally incapable of connecting these dots in any reasonable way #''if they didn't take a cut out of my paycheck i'd have more money in my pocket''#is such a painfully juvenile thought. because you'll still have to use that money for things like healthcare #only now you have to pay it all yourself. and you can't afford the cost of an ambulance #let alone whatever procedure you might need #a reduction of taxes is a little chump change dropped in your pocket instead of being pooled with everyone else's #and then everything else gets too expensive because there's no collected pool of resources #you're in total paying more for the desire to have your entire paycheck in your pocket #because you are not a billionaire #you need the community to work with you #ranting in circles as usual but anyway
