Okay alright because I'm getting tired of recycling the same batch of screenshots over and over again to prove my point I made a small compilation of Station @haupkmn admitting time and time again to purposely spreading horrible lies about me, deliberately deadnaming and misgendering me over the years, and proof it is in fact the one behind the transmisogynistic blog that's been stalking and harassing me to an extreme extent these past few months

Anyone else thinking about how qPhilza essentially said that he thinks that death on Quesadilla Island is defined by its impermanence?

Because I still am, and it’s such an interesting thread to follow guys! Especially since when he was talking to Chayanne about it, he was referencing both the adult residents of the island and the dead eggs.

For the adults, we know they have respawn mechanics that can often render death down to an annoyance or even a joke. Then, there are the dead eggs, who can apparently still communicate and have conversations as ghosts despite being fully dead. From this, it is CLEAR that death is not actually the end for anyone who lives on this island. They can choose to be present regardless.

(Plus, we know that the Federation ultimately has control over the eggs’ lives. They have 100% been able to return them in some ways in the past like with Bobby’s final goodbye).

SO YEAH! Those examples of death were in qPhilza’s mind when he asked ‘what even is dead’ on the island? And that is fascinating because it’s genuinely so different from what he knew!!!

During his talk with Chayanne, Phil took the opportunity to explain the nature of the Death that he knows and is most is familiar with. It’s a Death that is permanent. He even addressed it as /real/ and distinguished it from that of the island.

Just the way he speaks about it really conveys the permanence and deep significance that Death held in the world he comes. It is a fundamental difference which highlights a distinction between Philza’s past and the reality he’s now living on Quesadilla Island.

For me, this also so clearly explains why he reacts to deaths on the island the way he does!!

At this point, he’s been on Quesadilla island so long that he has become very desensitized to the deaths of his fellow adults. To him, their deaths are nothing /permanent/ because that’s not how Death on the island works. Unlike where he’s from, he holds a confidence that any of his friends can come back with enough action.

HOWEVER even if he’s accepted this to be true for his friends, he can’t shake his own instincts. As much as he wants to think death is something safer here, he’s still from a world where Death is something entirely different. QPhilza is a deeply anxious and paranoid man who will probably never quite trust the idea that dying is okay. He might be connected to Death, but he is still a survivalist.

I think that QPhilza is a man who has felt true Death once before, and he will do everything in his power to avoid a repeat.

It was mentioned/implied that gojo enjoyed being a sorcerer or exorcising curses in the afterlife chapter so I’m soooo lost 😭😭😭

WELL…. first of all, like you said, gojo sincerely enjoys fighting!!! i think he had the most fun he’s Ever had (aside from his time with suguru) during the sukugo fight for…. many reasons but one of them is just that he likes the thrill <333 being able to go all out when you have that much power must feel really nice, right?

BUT BUT BUT… i also think it’s important to remember that gojo was literally raised as a weapon 😭 of course he’d like fighting, it’s his purpose as a human being as far as the world is concerned. i think you Could make an argument that his fondness for fighting is a defense mechanism…. idk if i believe that entirely because i do think he’s a bit of a freak all on his own. but it’s there. i don’t think satoru would enjoy violence much at all if he had been born as a non-sorcerer, though, so there’s that.

buuuut to answer your question!! no, i don’t think he’d be happy. i think he’d be unhappy, actually 😭 at least at first!! mostly because gojo’s lived his abnormal life far too long to be able to adjust to a ”normal” one. if curses stopped existing, his strength would stop having a purpose, so we’d end up with the same dilemma that’s been plaguing gojo for over a decade: is his strength all that defines him? maybe if he lives that way for a long time he’ll eventually find his answer and end up happy, but at least at first, i think the sudden change would be more like a curse for him. it’d take a WHILE for him to adjust, let alone accept it and start to heal.

….. if he had been REborn into a world without curses then i think he’d be happy though :3 and i think gojo’s happy in canon too!! he’s isolated and lonely but he’s also a really positive guy. even if his life is busy, tough, and awful, he’ll keep on smiling, and i don’t think it’s fake. one must imagine gojo satoru happy, or something. you know?

Amazing Burglar or Awful Security?

I was thinking about the security on the Edge and how genuinely awful it is at keeping a certain Berserker chief away. It's honestly hilarious to me because Dagur just shows up out of the blue without even trying to hide. In "Family on the Edge," he had no idea the other Riders hadn't been told about him, so there was no sneaking involved. He just strolled on in (with a ship I'm assuming since he was sans dragon at the time) and didn't get noticed until Hiccup went back home. The guy even proceeded to stay the night without any of the Night Terrors being like, "Who the heck is this dude?" and causing a scene. He shows up easily for "Gold Rush" too and makes his presence known before they see him. Then in "Searching for Oswald...and Chicken," he shows up and gets through whatever security Astrid said she set up. So...I guess it's just bad. Or he's just that good where he can consistently get on the Edge. Heck, why limit it to the Edge? He was sneaking onto Berk too when he put the Dragon Root in the arena and around Outcast island when he wanted to get the Skrill back. I'm realizing an underappreciated skill of Dagur's is stealth. He'll just be behind you (might be right now) and you won't know unless he wants you to. It's as scary as it is impressive.

found out a lot of people are resigning from my department at work so that means my workload is going to be a nightmare. i've kind of just not been in the writing mood (i've been reading and overall in a funk that i hope to kick this week) but -- chances are my schedule is going to be up in the air.

mildly embarrassing confession: so i’m obsessed with no rolls barred plays blood on the clocktower and i don’t watch nrb outside of it but i really like the cast and it’s a fun vibe. (also watched a bit of noobs on the gooftower and tpi official vods) there were some standouts cast members when i first watched them last year but this time i’m generally enjoying everyone and liking everyone’s different play styles.

then in my sleep deprived state i start to become slightly obsessed with this one regular. just slightly. like i start hoping he gets big plays and screentime and funny bits. but i also want to see him mess up spectacularly and blow shit up for his team because he always gets stuff comically wrong and idk 💥💥💥 i don’t know why i picked him out of everyone but whatever, it’s just a 2h long game, cool to pick a bias for absolutely no reason, and i enjoy everyone regardless.

then one day it hits me like a truck. it’s because this guy reminds me of martyn. not in the sense he’s like martyn but he has the same effect martyn has on me. inexplicable whimsical fascination and wanting him to explode while giggling and twirling my hair. it’s ALWAYS a witty british man who’s good at improv and also has a WIFE. i can’t fucking stand myself 😭

I'm sure I'm not the only one but as a comics fan, I hate that we have to pick and choose which runs to read and pray that our favorite character is actually written well. I know a lot of these stories have been going on for decades passed by multiple writers but it always sucks when it feels like there's genuine progression in the story or a character is developed in an interesting way all for the next writer to just throw that in garbage.

unpopular opinion: i know most of the show fans find ursula bonadeo annoying and dislike her character because cesare projected lucrezia onto her and used her as a substitute. but after many rewatches, i grew to like her. she's very pretty, and she was very sweet to lucrezia while helping her with giving birth. i feel sorry for her because she's a noble young woman who spent her life trapped with an abusive husband who beats her. and when she thought she finally found this handsome, honorable savior who could free her (even though she was indecisive about him, which i don't blame her because women back in that era didn't have many choices, and her husband would probably kill her if he found out about her and cesare), he turned out to be unhinged, as he seduces her, and manipulates her while being lustfully obsessive over her. so, she was rightfully terrified and frustrated by cesare because he eventually assaulted her and dragged her around while forcing himself on her because she didn't exactly look like the perfect image (mirror of his sister) in his head after she cut her hair. then she got a very brutal end at the hands of the french army, raping her and mutilating her. she lived most of her life being tormented by cruel men. her character makes me so sad thinking about the women who were mistreated and killed by their abusive partners and were lost and forgotten to time because of the patriarchal system since it is beyond horrible towards women.

ok when they announced s4 they said this about it:

"Season four will culminate in a thrilling ending as the beautiful valley faces its greatest threat yet – inspired by one of the most famous storylines within the original Moomin books, a comet speeds towards Moominvalley and nobody knows what to do. Only the kindness, acceptance and unique sense of humour of the beloved Moomins can save the day."

and that phrase "culminate in a thrilling ending" is very reminiscent of darren's language describing the special, so maybe it will be the end to the comet arc...? but then I wonder if they'd have planned it that early/were so sure they were gonna get the special that they could end s4 on a cliffhanger 🤔

ohhhh now that we've got some sort of confirmation of this special though I'm so curious as to how they're gonna end the entire series..... will they go the home & family route and have moomintroll surrounded by loved ones in the valley, or will they have him venture out onto new adventures (with snufkin..?)? sooo intrigued 😆

(personally, i think my stance is that he has some ability to keep himself afloat in calmer waters- on the shore or in a pool- but not in the way where its a particular skill. hes spend enough time dicking around in the shallows with Jack & Sam & Ed to know how to handle himself in water where he cant consistently reach the bottom, to feel comfortable cooling off by a waterfall, but is also keenly aware that if he goes overboard, even in relatively calm waters, being able to swim isnt going to do anything to save his life if a dinghy isnt sent. hes not gonna drown the second he's in the ocean or anything, but hes screwed if the waters a little too rough or its late or a raid and it isnt noticed before the ships a way away.)
