hi, im slushy, i'm 15 and a half years old, i keep hearing these bullshit rumours about my friend wendy, or musashi, as is their tumblr url. i'm here to go on the record to say, that did not fucking happen. unfortunately, since i got banned in the server this went down in. (ha ha. how ironic.) might be tricky but i do have, like, 10 people who can back me up on this.

so, a rundown of events. me, wendy, and a few other people are in a vc. i post a poll about what i should go as for halloween. the options are pretty skimpy but hey, i'm fifteen, going on sixteen years old. i'm nearly an adult and by the time halloween rolls around i'll be old enough to work, drive, and fuck. i'm a teenager, not a toddler.

a couple server members, i think it was around five, voted on this poll. the mods, specifically the owner, got mad at wendy specifically. they said wendy was sexualising me. wendy was obviously like "no, when i look at a teenager in a halloween costume i see a teenager in a halloween costume. slushy's 13 years my junior, im not a weirdo."

the owner proceeded to get mad at wendy and then told me i should dress up as jesus? which is an odd thing to say. it was less of lingerie and more like a bikini. which gives me a feeling that the people getting mad are the type to sexualise teenagers at the beach.

anyway, wendy, with no warning, got banned for this. the mods said they gave plenty of warning but in those "warnings" they seemed to just be making friendly requests, not mod-ly orders.

anyway, i was confused, angry, and upset about this. wendy was also very upset.

anyway, you know who i was groomed by?? someone else on the server who all the mods continue to reblog from and interact with. they know she's a groomer. i've told them. wendy's told them. at least five other people have expressed concern or disgust at this person's behaviour, and yet they continue to talk to the groomer.

i also want to add that i was completely and utterly spoken over. every time i said "wendy wasnt weird or creepy!" they didn't listen to me because i'm just a minorrrr. i'm just a little girl who obviously can't think for herselffffffff.

at the same time, when you go one layer deeper, i don’t think people can fully say taylor had no idea what she was implying or how it would be received by some people. so one begins to wonder if it’s intentional in some way.

so a few layers down the discourse becomes distilled into something more meta: “why does taylor throw us under the bus again and again” which is a sort of fandom meta truth. but, i often think the intentions are a few layers up from this, where we are not the focus, and that it’s up to us to see how the benefits for her outweigh our collective peace. like when she does something that leads to fandom drama, she’s also often pushing the entire conversation around her work or persona forward in some aspects that are strategic or meaningful. often times that become more clear as time goes on.

for me, i think that because of this, it’s up to us as a group to treat one another and ourselves the best that we can. to be as self sufficient as we can. not because ‘she’s not looking out for us’ but because like, this isn’t about us first and foremost at the end of the day. and plus, there are many ways we can all stay healthy and upbeat on our own. and anyway, bringing up other ways to look at things, just as you did here anon, as a great way go about it. so thank you for pointing this out!

It’s crazy because I was just talking to a friend today about something similar!!

I was saying to her that I don’t even want the general public or all of the fandom to ship Jikook. I just want them to acknowledge them as close.

To be honest there are unhinged shippers in everytime subsection, Jikookers included. It’s understandable people that want no parts in shipping because it can go really left of the field, from the hyper feminisation of Jimin, the hyper masculinisation of Jungkook, the a/b/o tropes that people want to fit into everything they do, the hyper sexualisation of them, trying to make their every breath about the ship etc.

It’s understandable that lots of people want to just enjoy the members without all that extra.

What’s not understandable is the total erasure of Jikook even being BFFs, the super focus on certain duos that are not as volatile territory like ‘woah, thighs’, and how it’s fun to trend ‘rapper’s girlfriend’ but crickets from the fandom as a whole and only real noise from jikookers when ‘Jimin Hyung can handle it’ ‘I’m not that easy’ happed in front of our salad?!

That’s not US taking it there, that’s THEM 😩

My friend and I were saying that there are people that do see more when it comes to Jikook but because there aren’t enough big spaces that embrace the unique aspects of Jikook they try shipping spaces, but it’s not for the weak hearted. Some just see Jikook as interesting but not down to the #jikookisreal level and so when they dip their toes in they dip right back out.

I do get you anon, but I’m not so bothered if Jikook were to be acknowledged as ‘just friends’, heck I rarely see Jimin and Jungkook’s names in the same sentence unless it’s with the inclusion of other members or their musical records.

BUT I also see when there are things just Jikook that get skilfully ignored.

It’s super frustrating but at the same time it’s not. Because, really, do we want millions upon millions trending every little thing about Jikook if they are real and not explicitly out? I’d rather have the ones that can’t see anything because they have underlying prejudices to stay not seeing anything, because do Jikook need those kind of eyes on them?

Maybe a smaller bubble of jikookers being convinced and spotting their moments, in comparison to the fandom as a whole acknowledging something different with Jikook vs other ships, allows for jikookers to to keep jikooking ‘safely’.

The majority of people that DO see Jikook, see them for the unique softness, fondness, adoration, sweet words and actions, fun and spicy bond they have and want to celebrate it and protect it.

Appreciating Jikook doesn’t need to have millions of people. To be honest with or without us watching, Jikook will keep Jikooking. So let those that see them, enjoy and let those that don’t see them, miss out on a beautiful thing.

Before pride month ends I want to talk about Transformers characters that are on the aroace spectrum!!

I want to clarify that since Cybertonians don't reproduce sexually that makes them all asexual in cannon!

...However the fandom still has a lot of different interpretations and headcannons. Some of these include procreation while others are robots being sexual for the sake of "fun" rather than biology. I personally feel VERY uncomfortable with the idea of sexual reproduction in transformers but fandom is fandom and I am well aware of how it ignores the cannon so this list is made with that in mind.

As for the aromantic part of this post....

Sadly none of those are actually cannon since the creators haven't said anything about it and it's never said out loud in the media these characters are from HOWEVER I feel like most of these are very heavily implied. If you're confused about labels please look them up!

Shockwave: aromantic, asexual, could be aplatonic in some continuities.

I HAD to start with him. Speaks for itself really, if you're in the fandom you're probably familiar with how little emotion Shockwave expresses in general. Sadly though most people either see him as a completely emotionless monster or make him the super ooc :( He has no interest in sex or romance and some versions of him do not care for platonic bonds either.

The fandom sadly does not understand this, I'm not completely against him being shipped with other characters I just wish it was written properly and with his sexual/romantic orientation in mind. I feel like there's some interesting queer platonic lab partner shipping potential here but again this fandom is terrible at not sexualising him for some reason.

He does show care for others in SOME continuities, in Cyberverse we see that he used to be friends with Wheeljack and possibly some other characters. He does have emotions, even in other shows/media, we see him get visibly angry in TFP and Earthspark. So just saying that he doesn't feel anything is a straight up lie. He follows logic although we do see him make non logical choices when influenced by emotions, it's rare but it has happened.

I'm planning to make more content about him and being aroace spec soon. I want to show people that just because you don't feel forms of attraction or love towards others doesn't mean you're completely heartless. And yes I know an extremely stereotypical evil robot probably isn't the best character to use to prove a point like this but I just need people to stop mischaracterising him.

What is it with clearly aroace female characters, usually villains, and being called masc lesbians? No offence to lesbians but please y'all let us have some representation. Sorry pooks she doesn't want a girl, she doesn't want anyone actually. Which doesn't mean she doesn't value friendship, just look at how she interacts with Soundwave and Lazerbeak! That's found family if I've ever seen it!

I think she's someone who struggles a lot with emotions and intimacy just in general, though we do actually see her emotions slipping through the "mask" more towards the end of the show, even being happy [thought it was quite bittersweet] and part of a group hug in the last episode. Well done her for actually accepting physical touch that isn't punching someone in the face! She's a very untrusting character who tends to assume the worst in everyone and is really aggressive for most of the show. She has absolutely no interest in romance or sex and is probably apothisexual/apothiromantic. But as previously stated I think platonic love is really important to her. She's the type of person who would kill for her found family, in fact considering she's a Decepticon she probably has.

She's one of those extremely interesting and emotionally complex characters and yet somehow she's always overlooked. I see people talking about wanting more well written female characters and HERE SHE IS! Honestly I'd recommend watching Cyberverse even if you're just doing it for her, it's worth it. I could write a whole essay all about her. Can y'all tell she's my favourite? Because she is.

As for shipping I do like the idea of her being in a queer platonic ship with Flamewar and Slipstream in the IDW comics they're in, though again, I don't think people know how to write qp relationships...

TFP Soundwave: demiromantic, asexual.

This one is only specific to one continuity and that's Transformers Prime. Not saying other versions aren't on the spectrum, I have a quite couple headcannons, though I feel they might be a bit ooc/self indulgent so I'm not including them since I'm trying to keep this list as "likely to be cannon" as I can.

In the show he doesn't speak and doesn't really have a face so he doesn't really express himself a lot. Though he still definitely shows emotion, just, differently I guess? He is uninterested in sex, I think he could be in a romantic relationship but it would have to be someone he's already emotionally attached to. Platonic love is extremely important to him but specifically his cassettes, they're his family. Others however.... I feel like he doesn't really care for a lot of the characters in the show but then again he doesn't show emotions much so he could just be hiding it.

How characters are shown in such peace, and how they react to changes, even the most minor, is what makes them feel alive and real.

Ill also take the time here to quickly drop how I dislike the fandom for letting more popular people get away with things that they would've otherwise criticise less popular people

genuine question!! why do you care about sefikura so much when they are not real people? i get not liking a ship for whatever reason but your strong feelings on the ship seem unwarranted when you're literally running a dirty confessions blog. liking sefikura =/= condoning abuse nor invalidating real peoples trauma. cloud is not real. neither is sephiroth. thats why you can sexualise them silly style on a tumblr blog! i do not mean this maliciously, i am genuinely wondering

To start, above all of the other concerns, I don't like nor allow anything related to sefikura on this blog because it conflicts with the pedophilia rule. In game canon, Cloud and Sephiroth first met when Cloud was a young teenager, and Sephiroth was very much an adult.

That alone is enough to make it not the kind of content I want to promote to an audience. Though I do run a dirty confessions blog, I aim to make it as safe as a space as possible for everyone. Dirty, sexy, or NSFW spaces do not automatically have to be an anything goes, "you shouldn't have a problem with anything if you go here" place. In that light, I tag kinks that may be upsetting just as I don't allow underage, abusive, and other dynamics of relationships that can not only be triggering, but a bad, dangerous example for teens and other young people.

I am fully aware that fiction is not a direct equivalent to reality. However, I think it is very much true that it has a real effect on reality, especially in how individuals see themselves in it and relate to it. I've had a conversation on this same topic before with a veteran of the FF7 fandom who witnessed a Vincent/Yuffie roleplay couple online turn out to be a real pedophilic situation. Obviously, this is far from the case for every instance, but it happens. Just as I cannot allow confessions about underage characters to protect potential teenagers looking at this blog, I also cannot allow the romanticization of a relationship that could hurt or remind traumatized people of their own pain.

I do not believe that every person who ships sefikura "condones abuse" or "invalidates trauma". Likely, most don't even think about that aspect and simply like seeing the characters do whatever they want to together. I understand that. But speaking from the perspective of a traumatized person who has related deeply to Cloud Strife's story, I do believe that there is something to the dynamic that just isn't being understood if it's being ignored to play dolls. This is not to say that Cloud and Sephiroth being together is a 1:1 mirror that will remind anyone who's ever been in a bad relationship of their pain. Rather, it's what Sephiroth represents to Cloud, and how the games portray his feelings towards him. In some readings, you might even argue that Sephiroth is a metaphor for trauma: something unbeatable, always in the back of your mind, waiting to seduce you back to the patterns of self destructive behavior that the traumatic event might have created in you. I think that Cloud's struggle with this and his efforts to move past it are a large core of FF7's story, and to me it rings hollow to ignore that because neither character is, as you said, "real".

I don't expect to change anyone's mind, and my stance on this has already been clear on the front page of the blog for over a year now. I am sure that tens of dozens of sefikura fans who otherwise liked the blog have blocked me over this. And that's fine! Nobody has to agree with me, and there clearly will always be another space to go to for those that want to see that stuff. But it matters to me both on a personal level and as the mod of a public blog to talk about this stuff in a different light. Because if fiction can help people in a real way, it can also hurt them in a real way. I think that a level-headed perspective on all these issues can be reached. It's not all or nothing.

The pornification of the sex scenes. The outrage when in following seasons the sex scenes were no longer as graphic and intense. The endless discussion on that tent scene and whether Sam/Jamie had a hard on 🙄

Apparently it’s ok to be sexually explicit here. It’s ok to sexualise Sam, but god forbid someone else does. The infantilism of Sam by most is again 🙄 Sam is grown man who knows exactly what he is doing and why. He can sit beside his female co-star and be sexually risqué. Alright my last post about Izuocha becoming canon got some traction and nasty comments

It's nice to have opinions but PLEASE be respectful and don't be mean in comments just because someone expressed they prefer bkdk and togachako instead of izuocha (which I still ship)

Hi I’m new here so I’m not sure if you ever talked about this. However I want to talk about it to you because I like your take on certain things and want to know what you think of them.

The first one being, taekookers hating the company. I’m a taekooker and I personally never found myself hating the company. Dislike it for certain things, yes. Because from what I’ve seen over the six years that I’ve been a fan, taekookers love to hate the company for separating them majorly. I know there are instances where they seem like they don’t like it, I feel like after they’ve renewed their contract the separation thing has been a lot more on taekook’s terms. I do agree this separation has been a huge talk between both jkkrs and tkkrs but I don’t know why people can’t comprehend it might as well have been tkk’s choice.

Also I don’t know why they hold the company to such high standards . Sure the narrative started as, a good company that gave the artists freedom to compose their songs and explore but at the end of the day it’s just an agency and any agency’s ultimate aim is to make money. So if they find a gay couple within the company they obviously aren’t going to parade them. They were grasping at the straws too not knowing how to proceed especially since BTS was growing and gaining a lot more attention.

The second one is how this fandom can’t seem to accept every one of the BTS members act/lie to a certain extent. When your whole life is being filmed as content for others, why wouldn’t you lie/hide parts of yourself to protect as much of your privacy as you could? If someone points this out, the fandom goes crazy. “How dare you call them liars?” I’m sorry I’m just calling them humans, you are the ones putting them on pedestals turning them into saints.

I would like for the fandom to accept that they are humans too and it’s okay if they choose to hide/lie about certain things.

The third one, the way a lot of shippers of the maknae line ignoring(? Using this due to lack of a better word) JK. I’ve seen it on both the sides but I feel like it’s more prominent on the jkkrs side. JK is literally half of their ship but they seem to treat him as a puppet to the company or jm or tae. It’s all jkk or tkk until something doesn’t happen as they want and the next second JK is the villain. “He didn’t care about jm/tae.” As if the need to satisfy the shippers falls on him. Most of the time jkkrs only talk about JK when it’s a ship thing. I don’t think I’ve seen many appreciate him for his kindness, actions, talent. He deserves to be appreciated as an individual and not a fill-in for their sexual fantasies about jm or tae.

And finally, the over sexualisation. Sure a little bit of fun is fine but I hate how every single word, glance, movement of theirs is sexualised. The jkkrs turning the ramen talk ALWAYS into something else and the tkkrs over analysing certain things too. I’ve seen someone talk about how taekook’s pants were a lot loose and pulled down when they got out of the bathroom while hiding from jm during the water fight. JK was pulling his pants up the whole day! There’s nothing to sexualise it. And there a few tkkrs that take the moral high ground, blaming jkkrs over the ramen talk as well as the hickeys but would instantly do the same if the situation were reversed.

I think I've probably talked about everything by now 😂.

I have a dislike of music companies in general. I think they are uncaring and they are in it for one reason and that is power and money. There are too many stories of artists being taken advantage of, of being abused, and of being put on a sidetrack for me to think music companies are actually there for the artists. I think the same of HYbe/BH. I think they have greatly overworked the members, I think there was no care for their mental health, I think they took advantage of young boys with big dreams.

Ofcourse hard work comes with the territory. It can not be expected that you get to the top and not work harder than anything else. Talent alone will not get you there. An artist will have to perform while being sick at times, that's not great.. but a whole lot of money is involved.. were an artist to easily cancel anytime they are sick a lot of fans will lose money some of them could barely afford to invest in getting tickets and accomodations. However, when your artists can barely walk out of a show. When they collapse as soon as they are out of sight.. and this is something that happens repeatedly. When an artist can only think of wanting to sleep for a longer period of time. When several members of a group have admitted to having had depression. That's a big concern and it shows that the company did not get them the care they needed.

I do not directly hate the company for hiding Tae and Jk. I hate society for their views on queerness. I think hiding Tae and Jk also protected them. But, what I dislike is the narrative they allowed to be created (and imo was a concious choice). People still think Tae and Jk were distant and awkward once. It's something people use to throw around hate. I think it hurt Tae and Jk to see that idea go around. It's the cause of a lot of fandom arguments.

Mmm, it's hard to talk about BTS membes and truthfullness, because it does get a lot of fandom discourse going. Ofcourse they don't always tell the truth. To protect themselves they have to lie at times. I mostly think members avoid direct lies, but will rather chose to avoid having to lie. There's a lot they hold back. An occasional lie will happen I believe... when they don't have a choice. If Tae and JK are actually together, their closet will be reason for them to lie. Fandom is unfair in wanting members to be honest always.. because a huge part of fandom can not be trusted with member's honesty and throw it right back into their faces. They want BTS members to be honest only if that honesty suits what they expect.. not if it goes against that.

I think outside of shipping spaces Jk has a lot of solo or Jk-biased fans. Within shipping spaces he's definitely used as some sort of prize to win. Jk is also the more subtle one out of vminkook I think, Jm is an extrovert and rather physically bold in showing his affections, Tae is bold in showing his preference for Jk in singling him out through his mentions and pics.. Jk does show his preference, but he does it in much more subtle ways, so it's less easy to exactly point those out (and people so often love the easy stuff).

Ah, there's obnoxious people in every corner of fandom. There's shitty Jkkrs and there's some that are... less shitty. There's great Tkkrs and there's also annoying ones. I think talking about how hot the members are is fine, but personally I have some boundaries on how far I go with that. I don't think we actually see them at their most private. I think at most we see signs of physicall attraction through looks.

You know, since getting into the Resident Evil fandom, there's one thing I've noticed that kind of makes the fandom a bit, if not very, disgusting. It's the fact that Eduard Badaluta, the face model for Leon S Kennedy in the remakes of RE2 and RE4 is getting over sexualised by the fandom.

Now, I'm not going to lie and say that I'm a saint, cause I'm not. I do find Eduard attractive. I do personally think he is an attractive guy. But I don't, nor ever, would want to make him feel uncomfortable by sexualising him (I am taking out the fact that I am on asexual spectrum here).

Eduard has made it clear that he doesn't like the fan edits or accounts of him, yet some people have gone against his wishes. Yes, I know this kind of is inevitable when you are in the public eye and when your face is out there. But still. How would you feel if your friend was getting over sexualised in the public eye and felt uncomfortable about, despite all attempts of trying to get the public to stop?

Now, once again, I am no saint. I have written ship fanfics of real life people and made them public for others to read. But, and I mean a BIG ASS BUT, I have made a disclaimer on those accounts that I don't actually ship them and it's me writing a fanfic.

And again, I do find Eduard Badaluta attractive and I feel bad for finding him attractive cause I know he hates the Resident Evil fandom. I don't even blame him for the hating the fandom because of the fact that he has experienced these things from the fandom. The over sexualisation, some fans blurring the lines between fiction and reality by calling him Leon, etc.

This sort of thing gives fandom a bad reputation and I am not just talking about the Resident Evil fandom. When there's real people involved, some fans blur lines. Yes, I know. "It's not all fans." But it's always hard to ignore those fans when they are the loud ones of the fandom.

This part goes out to the fans that keep calling Eduard 'Leon'. Yes, Eduard was the *face model* for Leon Kennedy, but that does not mean you can call him Leon. Especially since that's not his name. His name is Eduard Badaluta and remember next time. There's a difference between Eduard and Leon. Eduard is a real person with feelings and experiences what a large portion of humans experience. Leon, on the other hand, is a fictional character that you control in a game and can do whatever you want with within the games limits. Yes, Eduard provided his *likeness* for the use of Leon's facial features, but that's the extent of similarity. Eduard Badaluta is not Leon Kennedy irl. Remember that.

Again, I do find Eduard attractive, but my limit is that I find him attractive in a sense of a celebrity crush and that's all I will leave it at. Even then, I feel bad for even finding him attractive cause he'll have the assumption that I am like any other Resident Evil fan (not that he knows who I am anyway). I just feel bad for him since he's having this experience with the fandom.

I hope this doesn't stop him from potential future jobs as a face model for games or modelling in general. Remember, Eduard is NOT Leon irl and Eduard was a model first before he provided his likeness for Capcom.

Tbh I do kinda agree with what this appytappy person is sayin. They are all(comp+members) very aware of what goes on in the fd. It's not like shippers are new or just limited to their little corner. They are pretty loud, have been so since the beginning. I think if the people involved aren't much affected by the narrative that has been set for them for years now, then we are no one to police the people who joke about it 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have a lot of disjointed seemingly contrasting thoughts on this so bear with me.

I am not terribly offended by jokes about them having sex. As I've said before, I'm pretty difficult to shock and this seems like nothing compared to what I'm used to. I do not like the low key thread of puritanical sex-shaming inherent in "this is DISGUSTING," when it's literally like "they're having gay sex!"

But...

You make these jokes at a risk of criticism. RP shipping or even just RP fandom always carries a risk that you're crossing a line. I'm going to talk about the way I personally talk so I don't seem like I think I'm immune to this critique.

I make a joke about His Royal Thighness Namjoon, right? I am aware there are some people who might find it to be objectifying. I skirt that line knowingly and prepared to face the consequence of someone saying "don't you think that's a bit like objectifying him?"

Because they're right, aren't they? Maybe I defend my right to say stupid stuff on the internet and maybe I'm not necessarily going to stop because finding someone attractive is hardly a crime but I'm certainly not going to tell the person who finds it objectionable that they're wrong. I'm going to recognise the thin ice and balance it with more considered narrative.

And...

I would be mortified if even my most innocuous commentary broke containment and the members saw. This goes for individual members pr subunits, management, bodyguards, staff, close friends and acquaintances of the members.

I'm well aware that they see stuff. But the idea of them seeing stuff certainly keeps me in my place when it comes to defending my words. I'm not posting about Namjoon's thighs to weverse or in the comments of live or on his instagram and the mindset of a person who can flood lives with inappropriate questions will remain baffling to me.

Which leads to the bigger issue and the most visceral ick reaction I had to this...
