Hey 9, hope you're having a good weekend! Would you be able to give some examples of what you mean about the tiktok edits please? Not links/screenshots necessarily, just a summary of the sort of things you've spotted. I don't have tiktok but I'm really curious to know what they're picking up on. Possibly related - I've found that when swifties do museless lyric analysis they occasionally make really great points, beyond the usual surface-level nonsense, which can provide a new perspective when looking at the song through a gaylor/kaylor lens.

i dont really follow the stuff closely on tiktok so i can’t give specific examples, i was more replying to anon with a general sentiment i do share about people who Almost get it, regardless of the platform 😆 it happens really often, you’d know it if you see it.

one genre which i enjoy is when swifties accidentally agree with kaylors. it would happen in the past a lot with taylor and joe, for example, but also as tay and trav push along, where they will pick up on the nuances of a song as it reflects the complexities of a long term relationship, and the post or tweet or clip or whatever will be absent of names because to them it’s self evident who they’re talking about, but really, the same thing could be applied to kaylor. and that’s very silly to me. sometimes ill fw a post to a friend with a “toes 🤝 kaylors” jokingly. there are other genres of people almost getting it but, this is one example. like when folklore was released and people were saying hoax was evidence kaylor broke up (before the lakes dropped) we were all getting a lot of grief on here, and oddly it was swifties whose song analysis posts id often find myself agreeing with because a lot of people were saying the same things about joe and taylor but many toes recognized that hoax wasn’t a breakup song and they were ready to break it down for anyone who said different 😂

Can I say something? Taylor hypothetically coming out wouldn't just mean her coming out, it would require an entire network of people associated with her to be also willing to come out too. And that is a rather tall ask.

ooh anon, youre preaching to the choir here! i’m mostly in agreement and i feel like i touch on this topic from time to time. in particular in terms of the idea that she would like… come out in a way that tells the whole truth and reveals all the things that weren’t true. i think that this is a tall ask. to me though, it’s not just about the interpersonal relationships insomuch as it might be about it being a business decision with lots of stakeholders that makes it a big endeavor (and i’m not just talking about big wig investors im talking like, all the people she employs through the jobs that her work generates). in terms of anyone connected to her that wants to remain closeted, i’m sure they prefer she didn’t from a perspective of self interest, but, i do think there are ways of going about things (telling a version of the truth) that preserve the narrative for most everyone. saying that some (or even all!) of her publicized relationships were real and that she was just trying to navigate her identity throughout her career etc etc. i think actually this is part of why i think people in the greater gaylor (umbrella term) community ought to be careful what we wish for because it’s completely possible that one day she comes out but it’s quite likely that she comes out in a way that is very much not satisfying to everyone 😂 sometimes i worry some people put coming out as an end goal when i think it would really be the start of another much more intense and potentially upsetting chapter. i’m not saying it wouldn’t ultimately be worth it, just that, there are many many ways to come out so… yeah 😆 i just hope people are considering that and finding ways of thinking about it that you can be okay with… or not (which is fine, nothings compulsory of course) and establishing hard outs for yourself, and sticking to them.

i think you got the 28th from the text of the webpage you sent which to me appears to be referring to some photo that there was of karlie jogging around paris the day after the show. maybe this site was web crawling old sites for generating content en masse and pulled up an old caption from some news site (which doesn’t seem to be indexed in google anymore) but didn’t get the context and photo right
