Hi, I have a question for you as someone who has been in glee fandom for a very long time. I wonder if Santana has always been this popular or if it is more of a new development? I mean, I understand that she has an extremely good voice and is very beautiful. But I just don't think she's very nice and a lot of what she says is just insulting and not funny. I understand that in S2/S3 that it's justified because she's not herself. But even when she comes out or is in happy relationships she doesn't really change. So I wonder if she's more popular now because Naya died so tragically and people are projecting that onto Santana.

I think that Santana has always had a fair amount of fans and followers. I don't think that she was as big as others (such as Kurt) but she still was one of the more popular characters while the show was on.

I think a combination of things happened...

The fandoms for other (and bigger) characters have somewhat faded away. There isn't much of a Klaine fandom anymore -- which overshadowed a lot of other things, such as the small(er) Brittana fandom. Now that we aren't making so much noise - their voices are heard a bit more.

Yes, I'm sure Naya's death plays into it a bit - I think people came back to watch the show again when she passed. And I think (like Cory and Finn) she became a bit immortalized. People look to the good things and don't pay as much credence to the bad. (I still say Finn was a terrible character a majority of the time - but Cory was understandably beloved. And for a while Finn was regarded in a much higher standing -- especially while the show was on -- because of it.)

There has been an influx of new (many of them younger) people to the show who just react and engage to it differently than those of us who found it when it aired. It's a different time and a new group of people and a lot of them - for their own reasons - gravitated towards Santana (and Brittana). I can't give you a reason as to why - but it is a thing that has happened.

Personally, there are times I like Santana (and I do like to use her in fanfic) and there are times when I think she's too terrible to be redeemable. But I'm not really attached to her in one way or the other.

For whatever reason - there are people who do connect with her more than I ever did. And those people seem to be lingering around more so than the fans of other characters. I think it's just the combination of the three points above that just makes it feel more pronounced in a place (tumblr) that seems to be dying otherwise.

No matter if it's connected to their fatness or not, because having a mobility issue that is connected to one's fatness won't change that they're still fat and still have the issue at hand. Fat people don't deserve to "tough it out" because fatness should be this divine punishment doled out to those who "deserve" it. Fat disabled people deserve to have the peace of mind that they can exist in whatever way is most comfortable and accessible to them

Dead Language Expert

Danny never thought that he could "major" in languages, and get a job as a translator. But apparently knowing all the dead languages ​​by default and being able to time travel with the help of your ghost tutor was pretty useful outside of Amity.

It happened purely by chance, he was walking through a museum and started laughing because of a mistake in one of the sentences that completely changed the meaning of the text. The museum manager, of course, did not believe him, since many people had said that the piece was "impossible to translate". But he study it anyway.

Days later they were looking for him to translate all the things from that time. And he just carried on with it, in many more civilizations. In some cases he even asked for a few trips to the past to Clockwork to verify.

It got to a point where the wizards, heroes and villains over the world knew him as "the translator of dead languages" and some of them even tried to kidnap him to perform a summoning ritual. Danny rolled his eyes and easily freed himself, but the League assigned him an "escort" anyway.

Exasperated, the halfa escaped from his escorts and continued his work as normal. Superman almost fell out of his chair at the Watchtower meeting when he was informed that the boy had translated the language of Krypton and other missing planets. Besides having managed to lose both the Flash and Green Latern, what the fuck?

Listen, I know we're all exhausted, but we gotta get better about adding image descriptions to disability related stuff. Everyone should be IDing everything anyways, but there's a particularly cruel irony in disability related stuff not being accessible to folks with low/no vision.

Danny is just a kid ya know? Like he is just a little guy. A baby really. 14? Tiny child! Look at him, he needs to be protected. Someone has to help this poor little dude. I mean he forgets to use his own powers to avoid attacks all the time.

Anyway cut to Batfam not knowing all of Dannys power set cause the lil dingus keeps forgetting he can do that stuff in the heat of battle.

Danny uses his invisibility all the time… to avoid being followed. But in a fight? Oopsies hes too busy thinking of funny one liners to realise he could do that.

Intangibility? Give the guy a break. I mean who calls themselves condiment king. Even he was stunned.

He so rarely actually uses his biggest advantage powers that the League doubt he actually has them. He, like any naive child, trusts them and reported fully on his power set. Instead of just asking him to demonstrate his powers they instead start watching him and try to find evidence of his powers.

At least they know duplication was true since they watched him make a copy of himself to go to the bathroom and not miss any of his fav tv show.
