hi! is there any blog/site you would recommend for me to get informed about systems in general? mostly about self diagnosis (to like, get to the conclusion if I'm not a system or smth.. I've been confused and I don't know how to approach this matter)

sorry if I didn't use the right words here! English is not my first language and even if I can perfectly read it, I can't express myself fluidly on it yet

Firstly, no need to apologize for not speaking English perfectly. I can understand what you mean and that's all that matters.

Secondly, I do have a couple!

In terms of blogs, @ask-plurals seems to be pretty reliable and accurate from what I've seen of its posts. @plegg-culture-is is and @plural-egg-culture-is are good places to go if you want to hear about signs of plurality that people only recognized in hindsight; these may be useful as a reference. If you don't mind going through inactive blogs, @dear-systems was a great resource when We were first discovering our own plurality.

In terms of websites, I recommend this one, as it gives a pretty good general overview of plurality, and it has a link to this web of resources that you may find useful, along with some other links. This article is less general compared to the other resources, but it's good for those who are questioning due to an imaginary friend or similar seeming a little too autonomous for something they supposedly made up. A lot of people find pluralpedia useful for finding specific words and communities, as well as the knowledge that they're not alone in their niche experiences (which is great if you happen to be a questioning system who feels unsure due to not relating to the majority of systems you see), but the sheer amount of information may get overwhelming if you dive in headfirst, so I'd say it's best to have an idea of what you're looking for or looking to learn about when you look through it. If, however, you're very new to plurality and would like our own introduction to systems, we have one right here.

hot syscourse take: imaginary friends are headmates and part of the plural experience. they are formed from the mind, and share it with you. they are your friends. i see no difference, headmate is headmate /hj

I actually completely believe this with the caveat that there are some imaginary friends who are just purely controlled with no autonomy, and thus aren't plural.

But I think a majority actually could qualify as headmates.

Here's an even hotter take: I think the plural community has done a huge disservice to young pleggs by running so far away from any association with imaginary friends.

Obviously, the sysmeds who recoil from terms like "imagian plural" and use "imaginary friend" as an insult to fakeclaim.

But also the old "natural multiples" movement that, from what I've seen, mostly slept on the most culturally accepted form of multiple autonomous agents sharing a body in Western society.

Hm, that looks concerning. I don't believe this blog will get targeted as this is not a roleplay or fandom blog, but I thank you for the warning all the same. I'll keep an eye out for anything suspicious I get over the next few days.

To my followers seeing this ask: it appears there is some concern that a group of cruel trolls will potentially be sending people gore of children (and perhaps other such things) over the next few days. These people appear to be primarily targeting fandom blogs, especially Mouthwashing blogs. If you run a blog that often posts Mouthwashing content, I recommend you turn off "asks with media" in your settings for a while. I do wish I had more information on this situation, but regardless – better safe than sorry in this case.

Probably uncommon plegg culture is despite messy bits of memories, remembering that during when the worst of the abuse must've happened, you "imprinted" on smth spooky in the house (which is a common thing in most places), and have never truly felt alone ever since. And ykw maybe that should've been a sign.

It's sort of confusion to explain because we've also technically kinda known for a while, was just withheld from the host's subsystem for years.

The best way to explain it might be this: Sudden identity changes. Or just confusion w/ identity.

It could be not knowing a favorite color. It could be not knowing your gender and/or attraction. It could what style of hair/outfits/ect you identify with.

These next to can also be explained w/ gender dysphoria, but some of the other things that tipped us off was not being able to see our reflection or to hear our own voice w/o dissociating. Normal dpdr shit ngl but still.

Our biggest one, is that the voices for our inner monoloug are actually different. Like they're fully different voices. For example: Scott sounds just like his source while May sounds closer to the voice we hear when we're talking outloud. This multiple voices thing even means that we talk over eachother in headspace, but growing up we just never realized that we did it.

ngl I could go over more things, like seeing eachother in headspace or alters fighting to type/writing and basically talking over eachother, but I only go 5 hrs of sleep last night and wanna nap 0(-(

I'm gonna leave off w/ a collection of resources from @/plural-culture-is, a small suggestion to look at @/plegg-culture-is (not a resource, just a funny account), and this amazing explanation on diff types of amnesia because I forgot to most important system trait 💀💀💀

Had to unfollow some other pro endo blogs recently cuz of the fighting stressing me out, which is sort of sad bc there's not a lot of good ones I can find :'0 Thank you for remaining a safe place to go though!! Do you have any good endo/tulpa positive blog suggestions?

Sometimes... the reason I don't answer an ask is just because I'm confused and worried that I'll say something that will come off as rude or offensive if I say what's actually on my mind.

Like, I feel like responding to a positive ask thanking me for being a safe space free of fighting with "are you sure you sent this to the right blog? Like really sure?" is offensive. But my blog has always been heavily bogged down by syscourse and people thinking of me as a safe space confuses me sometimes.

There's a certain sense of... you know when you know you're overweight and someone compliments you on how thin you are? Or when you're depressed and someone says that they love how upbeat you always are? It's that kind of feeling.

I do think the anon was sincere. But it's so surprising to me and hard to wrap my head around.

Like, if someone just asked me for safe spaces for endos and tulpas free of fighting, I would not recommend my blog. And I know I've gotten a bit more aggressive recently compared to how I was before. But even back then, this still would have been true.

I would recommend @orange-orchard-system. Amazing content and positivity. Also runs @pluralprompts and @plegg-culture-is, and I have no idea how they juggle all of those but I'm so thankful they do.

For something more tulpa related, there's also @moonpool-system. Their Badeline runs @protectingtulpas. Both great blogs. And while it gets a little discourse-y on the ProtectingTulpas side, I see a lot more positivity from there.

But mine?

I'm many things, but I don't generally feel like this blog is a safe space for people who are going through stress, or really ever has been.
