//Oh gosh, well...this kind of thing makes me leery since I'm always afraid of leaving someone out (I tend to be forgetful, and it's nothing personal), so I'll preface this by saying that if I follow you, I 1,000% think you're worth following! <3 I'm also going to do this in alphabetical order, cuz I don't want to rank anyone either!

1) @brooklynislandgirl ~ Super sweet and friendly, with a very fleshed out, well-written OC. Turtle's pro se always makes me want to try 10,000x harder so that I can match her quality! If I ever wanted to roll in someone's writing like a pile of leaves, hers would be it. <3 I get a lot of joy every time I read her replies.

2) @dreaminganthea ~ A new friend, but no less valuable! I enjoy her OC, as well as the period drama m.emes/posts she reblogs. And it's also fun to chat OOC with her about Ben/Seth, cuz obviously, I need more outlets to be annoying about them lol.

3) @faithhearted & @retrograderesemblance ~ These two are getting tagged as a package deal, cuz they're my ride-or-dies (apologies in advance, and/or my c.ondolences lol). Anyone who's been following me since the beginning shouldn't be surprised to see their names, cuz...well...just look at how often they pop up on my blog lol. I'm always in awe of their diabolical plot ideas, and how much they bring to the table. They research SO much for their OCs, and it honestly puts me to shame. Can't give enough praise in the world! <3

4) @morgansmornings ~ Very kind and fun to talk to, and with a great OC who she's super passionate about. I love all the lore, and seeing how she interacts with Ben. Our thread is definitely more lighthearted than most of mine, and I love that little breather; though I also see the potential for more, which is always the best kind of writing experience. :)

5) @resolutevalor ~ Aly is my oldest mutual! <3 I only created Ben cuz of her Anna, so if you're sick of seeing me here, blame her LoL. I've really been enjoying our Ben/Y.elena interactions lately, and she has a great grasp and passion for all her characters in general. Always great to see her on my dash!

6) @savingthrcw ~ I honestly wasn't sure which of her blogs to tag, cuz they're all great! I first started writing with Ele on her Emma S.wan page, and the chaos began from there lol. She has an insanely intuitive grasp of every character we've ever discussed. Even though I've obviously been (obsessively) studying Ben since 2020, after I convinced Ele to watch TURN, I was always so impressed by her analyses -- and yes, she pointed out some things I'd never truly considered! With that said, she brings that same level of attention to detail with her own muses, and she always has a lot of passion and eagerness to interact with the RPC.

Bonus (cuz I said so!): @marisetcaelum ~ We've been mutuals for a couple years, iirc, but never really got to interact much until now. I'm really enjoying getting to know both them and their OC, Bird, and I have a feeling Bird's going to be too much for Ben to handle lol. Mun's yet another person I've suckered into watching TURN, and I'm not sorry at all. >:)

The Q&A's are really fun, but they got me wondering. Who on the crew have the closer friendships with the ROs? Does anyone not get along so well with anyone else? I love found family and i got to wondering about the little family dramas.

I couldn't tell if this meant to be about the ROs themselves or the entire crew so I'll answer both.

With the ROs/LIs, Asher and Daaz are of course best friends. Raif and Yren are closer friends and Yren and Daaz are closer to each other.

Raif and Noel are late night talking buddies sometimes. And Kav and Noel ended up forging a fairly close friendship after Kav's arrival. Noel is well aware that Kav has a lot of secrets - it worries him sometimes but he never presses for them because they have known each other less than two years at this point and he figures Kav will share it at some point if he's comfortable with it. But sometimes at night he does wonder if or when Kav will find him trustworthy enough to open up. The wall there is sometimes REALLY obvious and when it's super apparent the distance Kav hold everyone out, it bothers him a little.

Raif and Asher bicker but they still care about each other in that sibling sort of way. Same for Raif and Kav. Raif and Kav have a slightly more tense relationship because Raif knows Kav is lying his ass off about a lot and it bugs him. He can't sense anything from Kav but he's really good at reading people's demeanor as well and he can just tell that Kav's lies aren't malicious. There's just too much there - years and years of stuff Kav doesn't want to talk about. It puts him on edge because he keeps waiting for the shoe to drop and the lid to get blown off whatever Kav is hiding.

Aside from that there isn't any particular drama amongst the main cast. Everyone actually has a pretty chill personality so there isn't much room for not getting along.

The side characters we see are the ones that are closest to the main cast.

Gates is obviously very close to Noel and they've known each other since his "stupid and reckless" days.

Cim and Raif are friends. She doesn't appear as much as Gates but they actually get along really well and he hangs out with her and Kaeto after hours sometimes. Cim is a little high strung and can get him on edge sometimes with the sheer force of her emotions but Kaeto is generally really chill so it balances out.

Lerin and Fraise are friends with everyone but not super close. Originally Fraise had the role of Gates but Gates ended up being a bit more fun to write so I pushed him into more of a spotlight. Where Lerin ended up being the mature parent of the group. So the two of them ended having a slightly different dynamic with everyone than originally intended. Lerin and Kav...clash. Not in an unfriendly way but he absolutely drives them nuts. Which is on purpose. Which they know. Which...does not prevent it from working.

Fraise and Asher clash some but usually in a very bicker-y sort of wait. Asher really likes to tease Fraise and sometimes Fraise gets revenge in ways that genuinely get on Asher's nerves because Fraise sees him as "a kid" which Asher hates. But they generally get along.

Kaeto, again, is also meant to be friends with everyone but just doesn't show up as much because there's just not really room for those interactions.

I guess the point is that the visible named characters are all meant to be a part of the main friend group even if we only see some of them then during the big, chaotic group scenes.

And there really isn't a lot of drama on the crew in general because everyone is pretty laid back. LoL My take on found families is usually that everyone roasts everyone all the time and they all love it. 🤣🤣

Heyyyy Spotify is getting expensive and I’m thinking of pirating music but I have an iPhone (it was a gift) and also I would like to keep my playlists and likes and stuff.. do you know where I should start ? Thank you 🙏

right so. ive never had an iphone or used any ios devices so i'm not really versed in pirating for them but from what ive read over the years apple makes it really hard for people to pirate stuff. best bet is if you jailbreak your device which is uh......not possible on the newest devices so you'd need to get an older one lol.

i did manage to find something though! there's an app called sideloadly which allows you to install stuff without needing to jailbreak your phone (there's a tutorial on their site). after you install that here's a spotify version you can install through that app. i dont know if it'll work for you but seemingly this is the only possible way currently :-(

I think that meme about Genshin's two character archetypes being "Boy With Trauma" and "Girl With Job" is still the funniest and unfunniest thing about the game.

Like, here we are at the tail-end of Natlan and they're still serving us "Escoffier's personality is chef" and "Ifa has generational trauma inherited from the unresolved grief of his family's internecine conflict which led to the death of innocent animals."

Okay, I'm kidding, but being serious, if we had a nickel for every time "gainfully employed" was the primary character trait of a Genshin female character, we would have... a lot of nickels.

On the one hand: Hilarious. Every single society in Teyvat is being hard carried by its female workforce.

On the other hand: I wish that more of the female cast was given fully realized backstories outside of their assigned professions.

Like, more of the women should get to have tragic, wild pasts (or presents!) that have bearing on both their character development arcs and the plot of the game itself. You know, as a treat.

Ohhhh you are so right that’s a good point. I never thought about it like that, cuz obviously it makes sense as a game mechanic so you can make potions in the Nether. But you are right in order for that to make sense it must have some magical property that makes that possible. A magical property that is perhaps cooler than the cell and a good place to chill in :) [post]… course that doesn’t account for the water in the toilet corner but then again it doesn’t make much sense in general since Dream goes from hiding in there 1 sec to talking about the poo the next [post], maybe that corner is just exempt from logic lol…

Now that y’all got me thinking about the brutality of the obsidian cell from it’s hardness [<>] to its heat [<>] [@simplepotatofarmer - <>] and sharpness [@hiding-in-the-vault - <> <> <>], it’s no wonder Dream hops up onto the lectern and cauldron and sits in the water in the corner and sink. I just thought it was cute and funny like part of his bouncing around, but honestly it makes sense.

Being on anything other than the torturous obsidian would be desirable, the wood would be way cooler as it doesn’t absorb or retain heat as much and it isn’t sharp like the volcanic glass or hard so it relieves the pressure of his weight. The cauldron would also be a smoother surface and being in the water also helps carry his weight lightening the burden on his joints. Debatable if it’d be cooler, but since it isn’t evaporated like it would be realistically, we could say it isn’t boiling then and therefore cooler than sweltering obsidian. Course the iron would be worse, maybe we could say it’s cooler from the water… in any case I guess it isn’t just about bouncing around or having the high ground this time, poor boy just needed a break from the savage obsidian���.

undeniably the true antagonist to da2 and in my opinion a very clever representation of the chantry's frankly terrifying role in like. all of the major conflicts of da2. but also painting her as inaffably evil or acting out of some diabolical self-serving purpose is (imo) hugely missing the point

pretty immediately, the thing that stands out about every post about the end of the ep that places the armies and warriors of Vasselheim as victims is the subtle obfuscation of that militarized status. there were armies, intending to lock Imogen and the Hells away for the crime of saving them. and people are comparing them to Buddhist monks. violence and threat in the hands of outsiders is horrifying, but violence to maintain the preexisting power structures is so normalized as to be forgotten.

Something that really sets Wille and Simon apart from other queer ships is that when we say their love language is physical touch, IT REALLY IS PHYSICAL TOUCH. And I’m not speaking of just sex. Over the course of the show, the amount of touching between them is astronomical. And that’s really something rarely seen in queer media. There may be moments here or there, but often times there’s a lack of physical contact unless it’s for “the plot”. Wille and Simon feel like a real couple in the way they’re always physically reaching out for each other.

it's willow being reassured she's still just as loved and important despite what she'd done. it's anya and xander not getting back together but knowing they still care deeply about one another and will still have each other's backs when it comes down to it. it's spike and buffy learning how to communicate with each other better, or at the least stop lying to each other. it's buffy going out monster hunting with xander and having a good grumble about it. it's dawn and anya being friends again after anya was betrayed by dawn's klepto habits. it's andrew slowly becoming one of their own. it's buffy finding a job that she enjoys, that makes her feel like she's doing something good outside of slaying and doesn't run her down into the dirt. it's willow building a healthy relationship with magic for the first time. it's spike on the journey to accepting himself, both the man and the monster rather than just trying to play one or the other. it's buffy willow and xander being as close as they've ever been again since the early days. it's dawn being integrated into the group properly and proudly showing off how good she is at research. it's xander and spike finally figuring out how to coexist. it's faith and buffy accepting one another. it's anya and andrew having fun just before the end of the world. it's dawn having her own outcast of friends in school just like buffy did. it's buffy choosing spike, loudly, over and over and over again. it's buffy staring down at the crater that was sunnydale and tearfully smiling at everything it meant to her then and everything it represents now

I feel like the majority of s7 is about how you can come back from misery. I think a lot of it is quieter, not always outright stated but shown if you're willing to notice it, and sometimes it's literally telling you to your face. and it says that there is a life after devastation. there will be joy again if you can work for it, if you're willing to try. or this is what I took away from s7 anyhow

I am so glad that the kid spectrals have such normal and caring spirits who will definitely not physically endanger and/or cruelly betray them in the midst of their lives already being destroyed by cults, monsters, and interpersonal drama. It’s so cool and nice 👍
