The thing about the squirrel affair is that while I can understand how it ended up being a hobbyhorse for overly online right-wingers (the libertarian angle of "overreaching nanny state sics cops on a guy for ignoring a dumb regulation and they end up killing his beloved pets" + an inept last-ditch push to find some kind of November Surprise/turn 2024 into 2016 by finding a new Harambe), if you told me "people on Twitter are saying you shouldn't vote for Kamala Harris because cops killed an OnlyFans model's pet" I would not have guessed their political affiliation correctly.
