Praying to god that Wild Kratts has an episode centered around gharials because I'm still not over how they referred to them as crocodiles (of which they are in the same order, but not species) and resulted in one of the most confusing (yet aesthetically pleasing) tidbits of lore involving the Creature Power Suits, and I can't be the only one who had to do extensive research on gharials for myself right?

Laws to Humanity

These are a bunch of “Laws” I made for my lil CP story(?) that is kept by… every demon that has a will to live.

The Laws are constructed in a way that they are more like promises to humanity. For the most part, they were intended to be only applicable to demons since, when the laws were made, humans cared too much about one another to do such things. But, now, not so much. The punishment on Earth is consistent to the laws, but the afterlife varies.

The Punishments are consistent both in Xenos, Delta, and Hydra for Demons/ Shades/Shadows that do it while in their afterlife. On Earth, they are still the same, it's just that they have more to go through afterwards.

In a nutshell:

Abuse

Unnecessary torture/mutilation

Human Sacrifice

Dropping your word/misleading people for personal gain

Letting someone harm themselves without trying to help them whatsoever

Being a bad parent/guardian

Terminology is weird for this:

To Finish a law = to do the thing that it describes

To create a law (4 and 6 only) = to make the situation that is described

To commit a law (1 and 3 only) = to actively engage in what is described

After death, depending on which law they break, humans will usually end up in either Xenos or Delta.

Here are their destinations:

Those who finish laws I, II, VI, and VII go to the Delta.

Those who create laws IV and/or finish law V go to Xenos.

Those who commit law III go to Pesthis.

I’ve touched on it briefly before, but there is a 4th destination after death (in this lil story bout Hydra and such). It’s called Pesthis (the personification of waste and decay in Greek mythology).

It is simply a wasteland where souls lay waiting for the day that The Unnamed Entity (the deer) would pick them up to have their soul vanquished. No one knows what happens to them afterwards neither does anyone want to.

People, Shades/Shadows, and Demons alike can all end up here. But it’s a bit different.

I might go into more detail about the after death punishments, but idk- lmk what you think 🤔

Of course, there isn't any evidence in the show to suggest that he has it, but I like to think that he does because it makes me feel closer to him as he's sorta like a comfort character to me.

There isn't much representation for people with invisible disabilities in the media (especially for those with mild CP like me) so I've got loads of headcanons. The idea of a character who is very strong and sprightly but also has the same disability as me feels very inspiring, even if it has no basis in canon.

Edgar too! I made him a custom hair with a lighter undercut - I’m mostly happy with it, probably could’ve shifted it a shade closer to his skintone but the texturing was weird no matter what :P And his stripey shirt! I wish Body Shop didn’t have that hands-on-hips pose lol, it looks so much better in-game, but that’s all the better :)

I got some new clothes for Todd as well! As soon as I saw this ‘fit I was like “Oh that’s 100% Todd there he is.” Scriadad hug ♥ So cute

Something really frustrating in ND discourse is that as we shifted from the LD model to what became the ND model, focus shifted away from things that actually cause functional problems (such as dyslexia, apraxia/dyspraxia, processing, etc) to social and mood optics, it's like other aspects of ND experience became totally invisible. This is where a lot of "it's not a disability" people may be coming from; sure, if your main issues are social, and or lack of tolerance from other people, the solution is social. But plenty of problems aren't social and I am very, very self aware about many of my social issues actually being downstream of other aspects of my ND experience, and many of my social experiences aren't even the root problem. In particular - the focus shifted from how well students were doing and or adjusting, to optics of obedience (ADHD) and conformity (more contemporary approaches to autism which heavily focus on social optics as the primary disability of autism).

Guess what? There are parts of my ND stuff that I VERY much experience as disabling. It's disabling that my cognitive bandwidth is basically a monodirectional, monotropic pipeline about the figurative width of a straw. It's disabling that I can sit in one place all day and not move even if I have to pee and I'm hungry and getting weaker and weaker. It's disabling that I even lose control, sometimes, over some things about my body when that pipeline is jammed - an example of something I used to experience was going physically limp when I laughed or cried, and also, laughing spells that would go on for several minutes once they started. My losing speech is actually connected to this same mechanism. A vast chunk of things I experience, in fact, that I find to be functional limitations, are connected to this same mechanism.

It's actually a problem that sometimes I can't drive safely while engrossed in a conversation. It's actually a problem that I can't process stuff while sitting in a group of people. I have a very limited amount of time before the dissociation in begins. I'm not able to mirror other people's movements easily which actually becomes a functional learning limitation in some settings, and much social impairment I've experienced is actually downstream of this, because of being unable to mirror other people's expressions and gestures. I got my left and right mixed up for a very long time. I know that some ND people pick up sign languages but I suspect I'd be one of those that finds it difficult. This is not a case of "the world not being made for me." These are functional limitations that I have to have workarounds for. I manage better as an adult than I did as a child largely because I'm able to choose my environments more, but I'm lucky enough to not have to work where this would be a problem, and these same learning issues actually have caused me significant adaptational problems at work - I basically hit a brick wall trying to work in health because I couldn't pass practical exams, and ended up stuck doing home care. The big career problem I have is how many jobs have been lost to technological obsolescence that were formerly available to a broader socioeconomic strata of NDs - the majority of them.

None of this stuff relates to how other people treat me as an ND person; the things that got me recognized as ND fairly early (though we weren't using the term "ND" at the time; there are various reasons for this) are things I experience as functional limitations.

None of this stuff is really talked about in ND discourse anymore despite all of these things being fairly common comorbids with autism spectrum stuff. It is literally only some older autism communities that still talk about functional autism comorbids or learning disabilities.

I find it weird that for a show that has 3 children included in their stories, the 911 kids just never get sick??? like aside from that bit where jee-yun was sick while madney were separated we've never seen denny or chris sick? and like kids get sick A LOT, I feel like they should include that more in plots, specially if it means eddie and/or buck taking care of a sick Chris or taking turns to look after him

If you feel the need to hit your kids for having emotions or acting badly you did not “turn out fine” being scared of your parents is not normal!
